Cécile (10/5): Très agréable - J’ai beaucoup adoré : tout le personnel, la situation géographique et la vue sur mer. La piscine était très propre et la température idéale pour moi. Buffet petit déj simple mais efficace. Petit bémol, la vétusté de la salle de bain : peinture qui cloque et se décolle du carrelage derrière le robinet du lavabo, et un double vitrage aurait été appréciable et impossible de fermer les volets et les rideaux ne pas pas suffisamment occultant

Jean Michel (4/5): Grandeur et décadence - Cet hôtel qui a du connaitre des heures de gloire est vieillot et à l'abandon. Pas la moindre bouteille d'eau, pas de téléphone en chambre (donc pas de service en chambre), les carrelages bleus de la salle de bain, mal repeints en beige sont épouvantables, la chambre et la sdb sont petites, quasi-impossibilité de fermer les volets car le minuscule balcon est tout de suite saturé avec une table et deux sièges .Au demeurant la personne de l'accueil est plutôt sympa.

Bertrane (10/5): Escale - Nous avons été très gâtés dans une chambre au dernier étage une vue superbe et un confort presque parfait la salle de douche a besoin d’être rafraîchie. L’accueil est plus qu’aimable et l’hôtel ressemble à une grosse maison de famille , jardin terrasse, piscine et accès très rapide à la plage et aux commerces du Lavandou. Je n’ai pas aimé être servie pour le petit déjeuner buffet espérons que c’est provisoire. J’y reviendrais avec grand plaisir.

Ménage limite et dessus de lit taché. Salle de bains d un autre temps : porte vitrée, paroi de douche insuffisante, pas de sèche cheveux ni de miroir grossissant et pas d article de toilettes (à demander à la réception)

It was very small, no sofa, broken table on the balcony. view was obstructed by tree and house. We had to pay alot extra to get a slightly larger room. Wifi was very poor indeed, not possible to use my computer in the room.

Cal (10/5): Very classy and enjoyable! - Auberge de la Calanque was one of the best hotels we stayed in during our month-long trip to France! It’s an older hotel with a lot of class and character. The staff is awesome. Bart, Mari Ann, and the rest of the staff, sorry I’m not remembering all the names, were wonderful. Very accommodating. Very friendly, just a real pleasure. We had a nice room overlooking the pool, the yacht Harbor, and the ocean. A real pleasure!
Eivind (8/5): Balkong med utsikt mot havnen - Bør ha litt bedre vedlikehold. Vi var innstilt på en liten kjøkkenkrok. Dette var det ikke. Vi trodde vi kunne lage litt mat selv og betalte derfor langt mer enn hva andre hotellet koster (ca 2200 NKr PR natt). Balikingen og Utsikten var formidabel. Den beste utsikten vi har hatt noen gang.

Grégory (10/5): Je recommande, très bien !!! - Hôtel très propre, très bon accueil, personnel souriant et agréable, petit déjeuner copieux : que du bonheur ! chambre avec petite terrasse privative (avec bains de soleil, parasol, chaises et table) donnant sur la piscine d'un bleu ultra clean ! A deux minutes à pied du centre ville et du front de mer, du port et de la plage. Cela fait plaisir de voir des gens qui ont tout compris à l'hôtellerie, bravo et merci.

Juste un problème d'absence de pression au robinet du lavabo en raison d'une fuite sur la conduite d'alimentation en attente de réparation. Belle espace douche et mitigeur sans problème . Pas de réel parking , stationnement sur trottoir devant hotel s'il y a de la place , si non pas facile .pour l'hotel le charme des annees 1930 .

Kristian (10/5): Great hotel for a relaxing time - Our stay at the hotel was great. Staff was very accommodating and friendly. Parked right by the enterance and got to our room in no time. Our room was on the top floor with a nice terrace overlooking the harbor. It was hard leaving the sunset views and relaxing atmosphere in the end. The room is a bit dated, but clean and otherwise great condition. Pool area is also very exclusive looking and if you prefer the ocean, the local beach is a short walk away.

jerome (10/5): Chambre avec vue - Un hôtel devant lequel nous avons pu nous garer ce qui est appréciable compte tenu de sa localisation. Une belle bâtisse avec une décoration atypique. Chambre un peu "datée " mais néanmoins très confortable, avec une superbe vue sur le port. Tarif très correct comparé aux concurrents qui ne bénéficient pas des mêmes prestations, entre autre d'une belle piscine .
Peter (8/5): Grand European hotel frozen in time - This was once a great hotel in the early 20th Century...it still has good bones and looks wonderful, but the up scale crowds now swoon to St. Tropez and the hotel's identity is a bit lost. The rooms and facilities are very basic and nice, but this is not a boutique hotel by international standards. This is a good place to use as a base to drive to other close-by locations. Breakfast is not worth the time or money.

Our room (which was only a standard double) had a good sized balcony. We enjoyed the location, in the town, but not at all noisey. The pool is lovely, a great place to relax and cool off or sunbathe.

Très grosse déception en ce qui concerne la chambre, balcon ridicule, ménage laissant à désirer mais le pire étant la salle de bain, particulièrement la baignoire pleine de moisissure. Aucune insonorisation. Au prix de la nuit, c'est une honte.

Glenn (2/5): Will be the biggest disappointment of your trip! - Do not be fooled by the pictures of the rooms on their website. Only a few rooms are renovated and the non-renovated room you will most likely get, will be disgusting! Do not pay attention to the positive reviews, as the only accurate ones are the negatives. Hair throughout, on the bathroom floor and in the toilet, black mildew all around the shower, towels so worn you can see through them, dingy-dirty plastic patio furniture. If you are not happy with your room and there are no other "renovated rooms" to switch to you are stuck with no way to cancel. THEY WILL NOT LET YOU CANCEL, YOU WILL PAY FOR THE ROOM WHETHER OR NOT YOU STAY!! Very strict cancelation policy and by the time you get there and realize that all the negative reviews were right it will be too late.

It's a little bit of an older hotel and I felt that it showed - our room was quite nice but I did notice that it was a little dirtier/older. Nothing of great alarm - just the signs of wear that one often sees in a hotel. The location was amazing - within a very short walk of everything we wanted to do (beaches, restaurants, boats to the islands). Staff was very courteous and kind - we never got the wifi password and forgot to ask for it whenever we were coming/going - so I can't speak to how well it worked.

Verified traveler (10/5): - We really love this place. It's the second time here for us in June . Quieter and less hot than summer. Renovations and updating in progress. Love the " old world" feel of the place but also really like the improvements. The staff are professional and friendly; there to help when needed but not pushy. There are a variety of rooms, both updated and older, all sea facing, with terraces or balconies but the 3 we've been in have been fine. Very few luxuries,eg no shampoo/ body lotion/ hair drier, no fridge(€5 a day extra), little room for cosmetics and not easy to use mirror to get ready! Breakfast ok for €12. Machine for hot and cold drinks, good selection of sweet things ( croissants, pains au raisin et au chocolat) yoghurt, fruit, hams, 2 cheeses, hard boiled eggs and eggs for you to boil plus bread. The best bit for us was the pool and loungers. Heated, clean and well looked after. Hotel is very close to town, port, beach and you don't really need a car. Not recommended for people with mobility problems. A lot of steps/ stairs and few hand rails.

Patti (10/5): VIEW AND RECEPTION EXCELLENT! - The man at reception was welcoming, professional and helpful. Knowing English so well was a big help to us. He helped us with parking and even gave us a better room than was previously arranged. We had a balcony overlooking the pool and the beautiful French Riviera. When I saw the room, I didn't want to go anywhere else. I had found a little oasis and enjoyed my evening. My only regret is that e didn't book this hotel for more than one night.
Stefan Lindmark (8/5): Very close to the village center, but needs refurb - The hotel is in an ideal location, very close to everything. Rooms are big, but quite simple, both in terms of furniture and decoration. The entire hotel is in a need of renovation as both public areas and the rooms are a bit worn down. The same goes for the exterior. The staff makes the best of the situation and all of the ones we met were extremely friendly, helpful and genuinely trying to make our stay the best possible. Didn't try the breakfast as it was not included in the rate and looked a bit meager.
Daniel (10/5): Nice provencal hotel in great location - We spent a week at the Auberge de la Calanque. The decor is a bit dated in places but overall has a lovely provencal look and very comfortable. The pool was a bit cold but to be honest that was a blessing in the heat. The staff were very helpful and we were very pleased to find that although we only booked a garden view room we could see across the harbour and the bay. The only down-side really was the loud music from the bars on the main street. In the evenings it would have been nice to sit outside the room and enjoy the peace and quiet but all we could hear was live music (mostly trashy stuff) and karaoke. Luckily it didn't disturb our sleep. Overall a very pleasant stay and somewhere we would happily go back to.
