• Anja (10/5): - Alles! Es gibt sehr viele zahme Tiere auf dem Gelände. Kamele, rote und andere Affenfamilien, ein großes Kaninchengehege, eine Eselfamilie, Puten, Hühner, Buschbabies, einen braven Hund mit Nanen Dudu, Kätzchen. Zwei Höhlen/Caves. Einen neuen mega großen Pool und einen kleineren Pool und sehr freundliches Personal! Die Zimmer sind mit Blüten geschmückt, jeden Abend gibt es Plätzchen und einen gute Nacht Spruch in einer kleinen Papierrolle ans Bett gebracht. Alles ist sehr sauber. Aktuell ist ein kleines Krankenhaus auf dem Gelände im Bau, sodass man sofort Hilfe bekommt, falls man einen Arzt benötigt. Einen Leihwagen kann man direkt dort mieten für kleines Geld. Es gibt zwei Baumhäuser zu mieten. Und das Sicherheitspersonsl, die Massai können Mau Mau spielen ;-) Wir kommen immer gerne wieder. Der Strand ist in manchen Monaten nicht so schön, da Meer und Wind Blätter etc. anspülen.

• Anja (10/5): Super, immer wieder! - Sehr gutes Frühstück! Der alte und neue Pool! Der liebenswerte Küchenchef, jetzt auch Chef für das Hotel, SUPER, das hat er verdient. Wir waren nicht zum ersten mal dort und er liefert immer sehr gut ab!!! Diese Jobposition, mehr als verdient!!! Die vielen Tiere, als würde man im Tierpark wohnen... Der Strand könnte etwas aufgeräumter sein.

• Martin (1/5): Considering the price of the hotel, it was a complete disaster. I don't recommend it at all. - After I complained, the manager was accommodating and changed my room. As compensation, they provided a New Year's Eve dinner for free. The staff was pleasant and helpful. However, this didn't save the overall impression. There was nothing to do at the hotel, so we traveled north every day, where the hotels were half the price, and the beaches, restaurants, activities, and safety were incomparably better. During low tide, the sea disappeared and the beach turned into a swamp. This condition lasted practically from 5:00 AM to 11:00 PM. Swimming was only possible in a small substitute pool accompanied by the noise of construction machinery. The dishes were mostly below average and seemed to be made with semi-prepared ingredients. I don't understand the chef's approach, especially considering how much fresh fruit and vegetables were being sold everywhere around. Around there were only slums full of poor people who would play football on the beach at night. I didn't feel safe there. The hotel advertises a spa and wellness area, and a gym. The "spa/wellness" area is basically three dirty wooden tables where someone might give you a massage. I didn't try it. The gym has three rusty bikes and a treadmill that doesn't work.

• Anja (10/5): - Es ist eine wunderschöne Anlage. Wer Ruhe sucht ist hier genau richtig. Alle Angestellten sind außerordentlich freundlich. Es ist sehr sauber im Zimmer und auf der Anlage. Das Essen im Restaurant schmeckt ausgezeichnet und die Preise sind okay. Die Auswahl an Speisen ist sehr vielseitig. Für Naturliebhaber bietet dieser Strand ein einzigartiges Schauspiel. Wegen den starken Gezeiten sind ausgedehnte Wattwanderungen möglich, wo man viele interessante Tiere beobachten kann. Für Tierliebhaber ist die Anlage - die quasi ein einziger blühender Park ist - ein wunderbares Spektakel mit vielen verschiedenen Tieren, die auf dem Areal leben (und die man evtl. sogar streicheln kann, da sie sich zum Teil frei bewegen können). Andere (Wild-) Tiere sind Dauergäste in der Anlage - darunter exotische Vögel und Schmetterlinge, verschiedene (harmlose) Echsenarten sowie alle 3 auf Sansibar vorkommenden Affenarten (dennoch empfehlen wir einen Besuch des Jozani-Urwalds, der in nächster Nähe gelegen ist). Gerade die wilden Affen sind gar nicht scheu und lassen sich auch gut fotografieren. Der Strand ist leider durch die starken Gezeiten immer mit angeschwemmten Seegras (und etwas Müll) bedeckt . Schwimmen im Meer ist nicht möglich da es zu seicht ist. Als Badestrand empfehlen wir, in den Norden nach Nuyuni Beach auszweichen; dieser Strand liegt schon außerhalb der (seichten) Bucht von Chwaka, ist aber nicht überlaufen, relativ frei von Müll, es gibt einige Bäume (Schatten) und das Meer ist jederzeit wunderschön zum Baden!

• Aneta (6/5): Było ok, a jednak..... - Hotel to spory obiekt, znajduje się nad samym oceanem. Jest tam cisza i spokój, w styczniu było tam bardzo mało ludzi. Zwierzęta (króliki, kozy, małpki, osiołki, pies i koty) dodawały uroku. Trochę jak w agroturystyce. W pokoju klimatyzacja, zestaw do kawy i herbaty oraz codzienne sprzątnie. Były też ręczniki oraz zestaw kosmetyków. Był basen. W tym miejscu są bardzo duże odpływy oceanu, i plaża staje się na wiele godzin nieużyteczna. Warto na to zwrócić uwagę. Zostawał nam basen, dość mały, ale nowy się buduje (NIE JEST JESZCZE OTWARTY). My mieliśmy swój samochód wypożyczony więc jeździliśmy na inne plaże, piękniejsze, z białym piaskiemu i turkusową wodą. Śniadania nie były zbyt smaczne. Kolacje były ok, ale w innych miejscach jadaliśmy o wiele lepiej. WiFi działało tylko na balkonie lub przy basenie/ plaży. Personel miły, ale warto wspomnieć o pewnym incydencie: prawdopodobnie wypadł nam portfel gdy wracaliśmy z restauracji do pokoju (albo ktoś go nam zabrał już wcześniej - ciężko to było ustalić). Po kilku godzinach znalazł się portfel, ale pusty - ktoś zabrał wszystkie pieniądze. Oczywiście zdarza się, ale jednak stało się to na ternie hotelu. Manager nie za bardzo wyraził jakąś skruchę. Początkowo obiecał nam jakąś zniżkę, ale ostatecznie wydłużył nam tylko ostatni dzień o 4h (lot do domu był późnym wieczorem). Ciężko określić kogoś winę, ale jednak brak monitoringu, czy jakiejś rekompensaty wpłynął na naszą opinię niestety. Hotel jest ok, ale okazało się że są lepsze w lepszych miejscach na wyspie i z lepszym jedzeniem.

• Lobo-Heijnen (8/5): - Locatie kleinschalig opgezet park. Het grote zwembad werd rerenoveerd in februari. 2026 klaar. Het strand was niet groot, maar wel een groot zwembad wat in eind februari 2026 klaar zal zijn. Gym moet nog gerenoveerd worden. Het ontbijtbuffet was niet zo goed.

The rabbits, chickens, turkeys, goats, donkeys, camels and a troupe of red colobus monkeys gave us endless entertainment. The management must have quite a sense of humour too, with signs like: “Beware of the donkey. He’ll be your friend but send texts to your girlfriend later.” The sea is rather shallow and includes plenty of seaweed. If you want a beach, there are beach resorts further North, you can visit.

Lo único que podría señalar es el tema de la wifi, no sé si porque hubo muchos cortes de luz en general pero la conexión se nos hizo muy lenta.
• patrice (9/5): Vraiment un très bon hotelqui va bientot disposer d'une gigantesque piscine - La gentillessse et la disponibilité du personnel, tant hotellier que pour le petit déjeuner, tous étaient exceptionnels. Les chambres étaient parfaites, la literie très bonne, avec une bouteille d'eau minerale par jour, cela aurait été parfait... Problèmes au bar, ou nous avons pris deux Martinis blancs. ils n'avaient de blanc que le nom, car ils étaient completement madérisés.. En plus, servis dans le fond d'un verre à coktail conique, environ 1 cl et demi, je suis du métier. A trois Euros le verre c'est du vol... Le responsable dans un premier temps m'a dit que le Martini blanc n'existait pas au Zanzibar avant de constater que tant sur la carte que sur la facture il figurait. Le meme responsable qui nous a servi au restaurant des langoustes tellement cuites que l'on avait l'impresioon de manger du carton, dommage de massacrer un si bon produit. Résultat, dès le deuxième jour, nous avons été manger au village et correctement. A ce propos, la seule chose qui manque dans cet hotel est une navette pour aller au village ou à Uroa, car nous sommes dans un cul de sac et obligés de louer une voiture si nous voulons bouger.

In the morning the staff took me on tour around the property. I really loved the attention to detail and the helped me with luggage to and from, so I didn't lift a finger
• Wolfgang (9/5): Für uns war es ein perfekter Urlaub/ Aufenthalt - sehr schöne, gepflegte parkähnliche Anlage mit sehr schönen Bäumen und Planzen. unser bungalow war sehr sauber und wir haben die Abende auf der schönen eigenen Terrasse sehr genossen. Man hat sich sehr sicher auf der Anlage gefühlt. Der Restaurantchef Hitachi und das Personal waren sehr freundlich. Das Restaurant ist gut und hat faire Preise. Im Januar 26 soll der neue "mega" Pool fertig werden - ein wahrer Traum. wir haben nichts zu beanstanden.

• Tony (10/5): Hidden Gem - will return - We stayed in their Tree House - amazing place to stay. Views of the ocean, gardens - monkeys in the tree around you. All of the staff were fantastic, especially the Massai group. The food in the restaurant was varied and excellent. As seasoned, global travellers, this is one of our favourite hidden gems.

• Maki (8/5): Most of stay was very good, thank you! - Cleaners, beach front, lots of animals, creative tree house, massage During our stay, generator was broken, there was no electricity almost whole morning & day time. I couldn’t charge my phone and it was very hot and dark in the room in the evening time. I was about to ask candles. Then finally it came back.

Man ist sehr darum bemüht, dass es einem an nichts fehlt. Überall freundliche Gesichter. Leider haben wir die Fertigstellung des riesigen neuen Pools knapp verpasst. Es gibt nichts zu meckern. 👍
• Manuel (8/5): Buena comida. Lugar tranquilo. - Lo mejor del hotel es la comida, teníamos media pensión incluida, con desayuno buffet y cena a la carta. Los chips de papa y el pulpo grillado eran exquisitos. El predio es grande, con un hermoso jardín bien cuidado, huerta propia y animales. Ayudan a organizar tours por lo que es fácil conocer otras playas. Muy recomendado Nakupenda con almuerzo (frutos del mar frescos cocinados en la playa). La piscina impecable. La nueva piscina (en construcción) va a ser un lujo. Solicité un cambio de habitación porque no funcionaba el teléfono, el ventilador ni el aire acondicionado. La nueva habitación todo bien. Muchos cortes de luz, hay generador propio pero no hay generador de backup. Se rompió dos veces y hasta el agua se termina cuando no hay electricidad.

• Farzana (9/5): - The resort is absolutely beautiful 😍 definitely exceeded my expectations. It is an hours drive to Stone Town and an hours drive to Jambiani and Paje , there are tours and tour guides available onsite, which costs cheaper than booking from Jambiani. The restaurant manager is very helpful and the food absolutely divine. Will definitely come back One cannot swim in the beach due to the tides and the seaweed. We drove to Paje and swam there, the resort is wonderful for relaxing, they have a pool and busy building a bigger pool.

• Ian (9/5): We had a great family holiday, mainly chilling in a/c rooms, sitting by the pool or the restaurant. - Big buffet breakfast with lots of choice. Meals menu also offered good choice, with Western, Asian, African dishes. Good service. Nice big, clean rooms. Staff always cheerful and keen to be helpful. Water, coffee, tea etc. in rooms; small piece of shortbread in the evening. Hotel sits behind a 330m long beach front and you can walk further along the beach. Sea swimming tends to be limited to high tide as the beach is pretty level so the tide goes out for hundreds of metres, making it a long walk to the water. But there's a nice pool and the hotel is in process of building a bigger, better pool complete with islands! The hotel is very peaceful. Local village of Chwaka is a quiet, Zanzibari fishing village with a university campus; there is little for tourists within walking distance out-with the hotel. The hotel has a small pool table, tennis racquets available, a basic gym. There are caves to visit on the compound along with donkeys, rabbits, monkeys, cats, a camel. The hotel has taxis keen to take you to Zanzibar's tourist spots. Holiday was great value for money (we got a good deal through Booking.com).

• Philippe (8/5): Tout est présent pour passer un excellent séjour. - Hotel très bien tenu où vous mangez copieusement et de qualité. Le personnel est à tout moment souriant et prêt à rendre service. Vous êtes dans un parc où vous pouvez rencontrer des ânes, des singes ... Nous avions la chambre D11 juste face à la mer avec frigo et le wifi. Malgré les nombreuses coupures d'électricité, l'hôtel possède son propre générateur. Vous n'êtes donc jamais impacté. Une immense piscine sera bientôt disponible. Quelques animations pendant la journée et le soir.

• Jeppesen (7/5): - Funny kitch resort, very eager staff (bordering too much), clean Had to pay extra for an extra guest in my two-bed room (as I by mistake booked just for one) even though the staff confirmed on Whatsapp before arriving that we could stay two people. Very loud and sometimes questionable evening entertainment (some people enjoyed it though), food not very good, beach is not so nice and not much happening in the area

Etwas entlegen: Mietwagen oder Taxi nötig, wenn man die Insel trotz Shuttleservice erkunden möchte. Frühstück gut, aber nach europäischen Maßstäben durchschnittlich. Preise gehoben, erst nach Rabatten billig..
• Laura (8/5): Es war sehr schön ! - Die Mitarbeiter sind so freundlich und so zuvorkommend. Alles steht und fällt mit diesen wundervollen Menschen. Wer Tiere liebt, ist in diesem Hotel richtig, sie sind sehr tierlieb, was uns besonders gefallen hat. Das Essen war gut und der Urlaub allgemein war traumhaft schön. Der Pool ist schön, ein weiterer wird gerade gebaut und der wird riesig. Die Cocktails waren super lecker und fair vom Preis. Schade ist nur, dass Dinge auf der Karte angeboten werden, die nicht verfügbar sind. Mein Mann wollte Nachtisch bestellen, jedoch hatten sie leider keinen da. Das Frühstück am Morgen könnte vielfältiger sein, es gibt wenig Auswahl. Und am Ende des Urlaubs bekommt man leider nur eine Rechnung mit Endpreis. Auf Bitte diese nachvollziehen zu können und gegen zu prüfen, kam auch dort leider keine richtige Rechnung. Es gibt keinen ATM im Hotel, leider hat man am Strand wenig Ruhe, da man die ganze Zeit angesprochen wird und die Promoter einem was verkaufen möchten. Ebbe ist dort fast den ganzen Tag über, sodass man im Meer nicht schwimmen kann und nur am Pool liegen kann, oder Ausflüge machen muss.
• Laura (8/5): wunderschöner, ruhiger und preislich angenehmer Ort um zu verweilen! - Die Lage war spitze, das Zimmer direkt mit Blick aufs Meer, das Hotel wunderschön, obwohl vor allem die Liegestühle langsam auseinanderliegen und dringend ersetzt werden müssten. Gerade wird ein grösserer Swimmingpool gebaut, was sicherlich dazu beitragen wird, dass das Hotel noch etwas gehobener wird. Die Anlage ist sehr schön und liebevoll gestaltet, mit viel Liebe zum Detail sind auch die zahlreichen humorvollen Schilder oder die Infokarte im Zimmer. Bei anderen Sachen fehlt es dafür etwas an Qualität (zB. Liegestühle am Strand). Das Essen im Hotel war lecker, einzig das Frühstück hätte ein wenig abwechslungsreicher sein können. Leider wurde man teilweise von Angestellten belästigt.
• Skarsvåg (10/5): Vi hadde det helt supert her! - Maten på hotellet var helt nydelig, god frokost, fantastisk restaurant! Mine foreldre overnattet på nabohotellet, men kom over til oss på vårt hotell for å spise middag nesten hver dag. Bassenget var flott, fantastisk bar, utrolig hyggelig personale. Alt i alt en 10/10 opplevelse!
• Marco (10/5): - È un resort farm con spa. Si possono vedere animali come le scimmie, asini e uccellini in totale libertà, una convivenza e una pace paradisiaca. Ottima posizione del bungalow fronte mare. Camera spaziosa, bagno grande e doccia ok. Pulizia a fondo quotidiana. Al rientro in camera dopo cena, abbiamo sempre trovato la camera pronta per la notte, due biscottini allo zenzero e una lettera della buonanotte. Una bella coccola. Cibo buono ma troppo segnato dai sapori indiani.

• Patrizia (8/5): Il soggiorno è stato gradevole e rilassante. - Colazione normale, mancano prodotti che di solito ci sono nelle colazioni, tipo marmellate, cioccolata spalmabile. Mi è piaciuto molto il personale, tutti molto cordiali, sorridenti e gentilissimi soprattutto i camerieri, ma anche le ragazze addette alla camera, tutti pronti a rendere gradevole il tuo soggiorno. Abbiamo adorato la tranquillità e tutti gli animali che giravano liberi. Un posto molto bello per chi ama la natura. Purtroppo la sua posizione è in una parte dell'isola che è soggetta alle maree molto di più che in altre parti, quindi non è sempre possibile fare il bagno, forse anche per questo è in costruzione una grandissima piscina. Per chi vuole passeggiare di sera a mio avviso non è consigliato perché si trova in posto un po isolato e non troppo turistico, noi avevamo noleggiato un auto, ma alla sera non uscivamo mai perché le strade sono terribili.

Leuke uitstapjes gemaakt via Hamad. Aanrader ! Rudtige wandelingen op het strand zijn onmogelijk als je niet wil gestoord worden door mensen fie je vanalles willen verkopen. Zelfs een Masai die voor de bewaking in stond wou ons armbandjes verkopen op het domein zelf. En´s morgens rond 6u45 wordt er heel luide muziek gespeeld in de bar. Spijtig

• Marie De Paiva (9/5): endroit atypique, nous avons chanté et dansé avec les Massaï, Personnel au top, restaurant agréable - Très bel endroit, bien entretenu, Personnel très agréable, La présence de Massaï à l'accueil et toujours présents pour aider et faire visiter leur ferme à l'arrière de l'hôtel était très agréable. Beaucoup d'animaux présents un peu partout, des ânes très mignons, chameaux, le colobe roux singe très sympathique et plein d'autres, font de cet endroit un lieu accueillant et original. Un bon séjour, merci Taxe de séjour très élevée 5$ par personne par nuit c'est plus du double par rapport à l'autre côté de l'ile. Service restaurant très long, mais tout est préparé sur place donc cela vaut la peine, et on peut aller commander à l'avance pour gagner du temps. Les vins un peu chère par rapport à la qualité 35$ la bouteille pour un vin assez basique. Pas d'animation, Les marées très marquées donc pas simple de trouver une belle eau pour se baigner sur la plage.

• Mario (10/5): Top locatie. Dit is het summum van hospitality! - Fantastisch. Wat een service. Veel oog voor detail. Prachtige kamers, supergoed eten. Relaxte sfeer. Fijn zwembad en er wordt gebouwd aan een mega zwembad met bar in het water. Kortom voor zo’n locatie kom je speciaal nog eens terug.

Os nômades que te recebem tornam a experiência ainda melhor. Hitesh o gerente do hotel acompanha tudo de perto para que tenhamos uma melhor experiência. Algumas noites eles tem atrações durante o jantar, muito bacana. Tem uma piscina gigantesca nova que está ficando pronta agora! Nada.

Le personnel très sympathique et notre chambre avec vue sur la mer nous ont comblés ! • Juliette (10/5): Séjour incroyable - Cet hôtel est génial, le personnel est entièrement dévoué à la clientèle, ils ont vraiment à cœur qu’on passe un bon séjour. Le cadre est sublime au milieu de la nature avec les animaux et la plage au bord de l’hôtel. Le restaurant de l’hôtel est vraiment excellent on a tellement bien mangé, c’était vraiment un super séjour ! Les deux seules choses à améliorer c’est la route pour accéder à l’hôtel et l’espèce de chantier de piscine devant le restaurant.
