It is near shopping and restaurants - including a mall and the largest Walmart in the US across the street. Room was a studio king- bed was super comfortable, full size fridge/ freezer, stove etc. Parking is free. Room and hotel felt clean. Lobby was cute, tables, booths, fireplace. Free breakfast. There was an indoor pool and a small gym. Cute outdoor area with string lights and fire pit also. This is not a 5 star resort- but if something is bringing you to the area and you need a clean place with amenities, this is great. Price was comparable to many hotels in the area. But I did find a little pricey for a Sunday night in Albany in March.

- K6423ITsophiep (10/5): Perfect location and amazing customer service! - We booked hotel blocks for our wedding guests and had a phenomenal experience working with our sales coordinator Kayla! She was very responsive when we had questions and proactive in making sure we were able to meet our booking minimum. She was so thoughtful and really went the extra mile in making sure our guests had everything they needed. The location was convenient to our venue and we got great feedback from everyone who stayed here. Thank you!!

- tltbiker (2/5): Don't Stay Here - Find another hotel. This Residence Inn is not worthy of Marriott. This hotel is not worth the money. The mattress was sagging. The sheets and the mattress cover came off in the middle of the night. Gross. The decor was sad, tired, and dirty. The dishwasher didn't work. Water in the pool was murky. I complained to the person at the desk and asked to talk with the manager, Creed. Not there. She said he would call me. I called back three times over the next week and left a message on his voicemail. No response. No customer service.

Also our towels had other peoples hair still on it. It wasn’t clean at all, and I almost booked us a new hotel but because we were just passing through we made it work. However we will never be back.
- kwints617 (2/5): Green Emoji Face - I've spent over 60 nights in Marriotts this year and this is hands down the worst one. Its old and dated and not very clean. While there *were* upgraded rooms available, the system was apparently malfunctioning and I was not able to take advantage of my Platinum status. No gifted points at check in. No mattress protector - the sheet was directly on top of the mattress (insert green emoji face). The hair dryer was so sticky and covered in God knows what, it was unusable. I was told multiple times that I would be given points to compensate for my experience, but I have yet to see them hit my account.
- Brandi (10/5): - The property had a fully functional kitchen that was really great and a full sized fridge. You can defiantly bring food with you to cook and utilize the kitchen a lot. They also have silverware and cooking stuff in the kitchen, when I say fully stocked, it was actually useable.

He was responsive and fair. As for the property, not a 5 star review because the room showed signs of deferred maintenance. The kitchen chairs are unreasonably distressed and there are points on the drywall corners that are broken and not repaired. The master ensuite bathroom has a drip in the shower that makes a lot of noise at night. But all in all a tremendous value. The breakfast was great and the staff were friendly and responsive. There was only 1 parking spot when we arrived before midnight though so this seems to be an area that could be addressed. There was a Tesla charging by plugging into an outdoor outlet but it was taking up 2 parking spots. they should provide destination chargers here.

- Sean (2/5): Very poor - Messaged property twice through Booking.com--once about an early check-in, once about the pet policy--and never received a response. Upon arrival, we couldn't check in before 4pm even though we had a 6pm wedding to attend. The property seemed under staffed, and service was impersonal and strained. The breakfast was atrocious. Don't even bother with it. Terrible location. Exorbitant $150 pet fee for one night with one small dog was reduced to $50 upon request, but the damage was already done. $300 for one night in a barely two-star hotel. Will not be staying here again.

The kitchenette was particularly handy and clean. The staff were friendly and attentive. However, there was one major issue that detracted from my stay: the overwhelming smell of urine that wafted out of the bathroom, especially during the night. My bed was near the bathroom, making it difficult to sleep comfortably. Despite reporting the issue to the front desk, the problem persisted throughout my stay. In summary, while the suite had many positive aspects, the strong odor from the bathroom was a significant downside. I hope the hotel addresses this issue for future guests.

When I checked in at 9pm on a Friday night in the summer I was told about a $150 non refundable pet fee. - E1541VMbillm (8/5): Excellent Hotel, Great Value - NW Albany, NY - We were on a road-trip, Florida to Quebec, Canada and stopped overnight in Albany. This is a clean and comfortable hotel that offered an excellent, filling breakfast included in the room cost. Easy on / easy off US Hwy. 87 on the NW section of Albany, NY. Seems to be a relatively new hotel. Room well maintained. Full kitchen, stainless steel appliances. No negatives. Would stay here again if I'm in the area.

- Roderick (10/5): Like Home! - Our hotel was very conveniently located just off the highway, so getting to and from was very easy. The hotel had a nice little kitchen with a full-size refrigerator and microwave! I would recommend this location and would stay here again.

- Tara (10/5): Great Stay - We had traveled for a comedy show from Long Island it was literally a three minute walk from the hotel everything was absolutely perfect clean comfortable the bed was comfortable the staff was kind I 100% would recommend this hotel

- starrraew (4/5): Deplorable room and lackluster service. - When we reserved the 2 bedroom suite online there was no disclaimer about the hot tub not functioning. When we arrived at the hotel and attempted to use the hot tub at the pool it was taped off and not working. Also, when we got in the suite, at first, it looked very nice when we arrived, but upon trying to wash our dirty dishes I opened the dishwasher a drove of cockroaches poured out of the appliance. I spoke with management and they appeared reluctant to only give me a portion of the already charged room rate.

- Verified traveler (8/5): An OK place to stay - Layout of the room was very good, spacious and comfortable with full refrigerator and MW. The hot breakfast left a bit to be desired. It isn't really a "buffet" but they did have some hot selections like bacon, no sausage. Nice pot of oatmeal with a big flattish spoon that one ladled half a dozen times to fill the cereal bowl. No precut fruit but apples and oranges were available. Yogurt avalable as well. Decent selection of juices from a machine. Nice staff.

- Rachael (10/5): - Easy to access, right off the highway. Across the highway was shopping and food, and next door was the mall. Real easy to hop on the highway and get to the MVP arena. The room was perfectly cozy with a small kitchen and bedroom. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook a meal. Bed was comfortable and the bathroom. The living room and bedroom both had TVs. Overall extremely happy with our room. We where disappointed that the pool was not a heated area or heated. Too chilly to swim. I would absolutely stay there again.
- Shackfam (6/5): Meh - It was on the way in a good location; near things to do In comparison with other Residence Inns I did not think the rooms were as comfortable; we needed to use the pull out which I mentioned when we checked in, but had to go to desk at bedtime and ask for sheets.

- Robert (5/5): bad cleaning staff? - nice hotel for the price, tricky location to get to no shower curtian in bathroom, dishwasher had not been cleared in weeks and smell most foul. when attemtping to remedy the smell, dishwasher over flowed into the room soaking the floor
- Timothy (4/5): - I wanted to give this a higher rating, but there were some major issues that they're dealing with. First, The good. We loved the location (close to shopping, but a little hard to find). We also loved the room layout. The "mini" apartments were so cozy and great for visitors. However, when we arrived we were told that they had just fixed the hot tub--which they have had problems with. However, when we tried using the hot tub, we discovered that it was still broken. (We had chosen this hotel based on 3 criteria--location, pool, hot tub. We reported the issue on Friday. The staff were very accommodating, but it wasn't fixed on Saturday, either. Also, one of the rooms we were staying in had no hot water on Saturday morning. (We took cold showers to get on with our day.) I reported the problem and this was fixed upon our return that day. The staff reported that they were overdue for a remodel/update to their facilities. I hope they take care of it, because we loved the rooms and location. We would stay there again--but only if everything was fully functional.
- Daniel (10/5): - The kitchenette was nice, had scrub mommy for doing dishes. A little cramped as the stove top was right next to the fridge. Overall it worked. Microwave was good, heated evenly and rotated the food. Shower was big, but I couldnt keep water from bouncing out of shower. (No tub) Breakfast was standard warm fare (scrambled eggs, cariety of sausage, bacon, frittatas, breakfast biscuit sandwich, oat meal, yogurts, waffle maker (only 1, but displayed the time), juices offered were apple and orange, coffee hot and cold brew, milk, cereal. Fresh whole fruit, apples, banana, oranges. I didnt see any mixed fruit. I also didnt ask. Good seating across several areas. Staff was helpful and friendly. Washers were $2.50 cleaned the clothes, dryers were $2.50, but left the clothes damp. Pool was nice in appearance, I did not use. Hot tub was full, but out of order. Room was spacious, bed good, and lots of seating options from counter or sofa with moveable table to desk with chair. TV swiveled so could watch from kitchen or bed.

- Kathy (1/5): Never stay again , not that it matters to Marriott but customers should know of this outrageous charge of $150 for your - Good value for the room . However my 10 lb dog was with me for the night , yes one night . I was charged $150 for that . I called once noticing extra charge . Told , yes that is our pet fee. It is posted on wall at check in . I would have never stayed there to be charge $150 for my dog . It cost $30 per night a kennel . This is really awful of the Marriott Your pet policy
