- heather (10/5): Best people, views, and ambience in all of Bridgeport. - Staff! Nicest people in the state, they are what makes Bridgeport the place so many people return to. They make you feel like family, and will go out of their way to help with anything. From early morning coffee, to the best meals all day long, and a room with views of the mountains no one can beat. It takes talent to have the room be so shiny clean and comfortable. Great beds. Fantastic water pressure. Fun neighbors. Everyone at the motel is on an adventure. Staff makes friendships happen. I like multiple reading lights on both sides of the beds, we made do with one.
- Mary (9/5): great - the room was great and all emlpoyees we encountered were polite, courtoues and helpful not into pc and internet. so reservation thru pc while standing in lobby was outside my comfort zone
- Alexandre (5/5): Rude workers, unclean restrooms, overpriced bland food, tiny rooms, hard beds, all at a great locat - Location to town events We stayed in the section of the hotel that has a shared bathroom. If multiple of guests were using the same bathroom I would expect that the hotel would keep that clean. There was another guest there who I had to complain about being very very smelly and that their smell was seeping into the entire hallway and in our bedroom. It smelled like rotten feet. We had to use the bathroom after that person and my partner I both got fungal infections on our back and feet. The curtains didn't restrict any light and I got a sunburn through the curtain on my face the first morning. The beds were very very tough and you could feel the springs through them. Highly disappointed with the experience.
- Dan (7/5): good room, excellent restaurant -
- Magdalena (6/5): - Gratis Parkplatz dabei.
- Baker (4/5): Quaint convenience - Convenient for a quick overnight stay on our way back home. The bed was uncomfortable due to springs in the mattress. Not enough towels for showering,
- Anja (7/5): -
Personnel moyennement sympathique
- Pati (7/5): - Location was great for the excursions we wanted. The lighting in the dining room needs improvement, I could barely see my food. For the price paid ($30 plate), the quality was not good. Only ate once there. The water in the shower changed temperature rapidly to excessively hot and almost burned myself multiple times. There was no shower mat and almost slipped while trying to escape the scalding water. They could offer coffee to their guests during a stay as both coffee shops in town were closed during our stay.
- Valentyna (8/5): - I easily changed the room because the one we booked was too small, friendly staff The room was clean, but it smelled very strongly of detergent.
- sherwood (10/5): comfortable and well positioned for our fishing ne - charming iconic sierra hotel older period furnishings, steep stairs, in main building, comfortable no frills, would clearly return,it is very close to our fishing spots
- David (8/5): - One of the better hotels in Bridgeport.
Clean and affordable.
- don (9/5): -
- Guerric (6/5): -
- Esther (5/5): Gut.
- D.G-K. (10/5): - Wunderschönes Haus, tolles Personal!
- Michael (8/5): -
- William (4/5): - The mattress is historic aka OLD and awful for sleep. The Inn is charming for sure but the mattress needs an upgrade. The shared bathroom was no issue and upgraded .
- Aristotle (9/5): -
- Bryan (6/5): - Super cute historic motel with tons of charm, bar and restaurant on site are excellent. Everyone that works there was really warm and accommodating. Only complaints are comfort/amenities—beds and pillows were very uncomfortable/thin and on rolling frames with no headboards that move away from the wall constantly. No mini fridge or coffee maker, no hair dryer. These are small things the hotel could add that would make a big difference in comfort.
- Cheryl (8/5): - Is a historic building, therefore walls are thin and one can hear conversations in the next room. But in keeping with it's history, it is charming
- wen (1/5): Qualifies for and I demand a FULL refund. - the mattress I was on the second floor (18 straight steps, no elevators or help with the luggage ) of the historical building, on top of the restaurant, kitchen and bar downstairs. That night, EVERY time someone in the building turns on the water or flushes the toilet, the LOUD sound of water in the pipes rushing fills my room. All night! Hence, I had all night to figure out how to rate the building/place.
In the entire room, aside from a night stand, there was not a level surface to set anything down. On the night stand was a table lamp with a 8 in base, next to it was a big multifunction digital LANDLINE phone; (anyone uses that?) , next to that was a 6 in digital alarm clock ( anyone uses that either?) leaving not a spot for my iPhone nor charger. Oh, never mind, there was no outlet anyways.
There was no luggage rack (I checked the closet) so I had to lay my luggage on the floor and do everything off the floor. Yea, historic!
The place is open only 7 months a year giving them lots of time to make things better than .......6.
- Ewa (9/5): - Bardzo klimatyczny obiekt z historią. Na plus utrzymanie obiektu w dawnym stylu. Bardzo dobra lokalizacja blisko do Bodie State Park oraz Yosemite.
- Dana (2/5): - I would never return. Staff can be rude.
- gary (7/5): Enjoyable, but don’t eat there! Prices too high - Comfy, great location The restaurant prices!! We went elsewhere to eat dinners and breakfasts
- irakli (1/5): -
- Barbara (8/5): We'll be back! - Great restaurant at Bridgeport Inn!
- Katarzyna Maria (9/5): - Lokalizacja, klimatyczne miejsce, miła obsluga
- Jeff (7/5): Affordable, old and very clean hotel - Very nice staff and a very clean, old hotel
At a fair value based on competition. Bed was hard and towels were rough.
- Maury (10/5): - Dated hotel facility itself but has some old school charm and a nice bar!
- Stewart (8/5): - Restaurant staff were a little rude at times
- Robert (10/5): - Comfy, quiet. Stayed in original building, in room without bath…the bathroom and showers are down the hall and spotless. Great bar.
- Jack (9/5): -
- R.M. (8/5): - Vriendelijk personeel
- Brian (7/5): Interesting place with character. - For context, this is an older style inn that has rooms with shared bathrooms and rooms with their own bathrooms. My room shared a bathroom. The room was small (bed, small wooden chair, dresser). The shared bathroom situation worked well. Know what you're getting into before choosing this option.
A real plus for the Bridgeport Inn is that it has a restaurant/bar that seems to be a kind of social center. If Bridgeport has a place where things happen, it is the Bridgeport Inn. The location on the main street and sidewalk enhanced this center-of-the-action aspect. Many motorcyclists were staying here, and I had some great conversations with several of them.
In short, my stay in Bridgeport might have been more comfortable staying somewhere else, but it would have been far, far less interesting. I would take the latter any day. Not the most comfortable mattress.
- Dennis (10/5): - Hotel rooms are up very steep stairs. We stayed in the motel portion.
- Teresa (10/5): - We loved everything about our stay! Friendly staff, very helpful! We loved the property and having a great porch sitting area was just a perfect ending to day of driving! Awesome that there is a delicious restaurant right there and wow! does the bar make one stiff drink! Perfect!
- Paolo (6/5): -
- Tiz & Pat (8/5): -
- Kenneth (10/5): - Love the atmosphere of an old creaky wood hotel that’s been maintained with some care and run by a great staff. Too bad I didn’t see the resident ghost…
- Richard (10/5): - Close to Conway summit
- Jeremy (10/5): -
- Tim (8/5): - The main building is 148 years old as are most of the structures in town so things are for sure aged. This in my opinion adds to the experience and shouldn’t take away anything. The history and friendly staff all but made up for it. The menu is excellent and did not disappoint!! There other options in town but I prefer The Bridgeport Inn.
- Xan (7/5): - I liked the restaurant in house, and the ease of checking in after hours. The walls were very thin, and the adjoining door wasnt locked on my side so someone tried to come in.
- Sheila (9/5): -
- mordechai (5/5): -
- Carrie (10/5): Enjoyable stay - Room was cute and comfortable and staff were very friendly. Would definitely visit again.
- Maria (10/5): - The staff was very accommodating to my unique needs. It is very quiet. My only complain is the mattresses and pillows were not comfortable.
- Rex (8/5): - Beautiful area
- C (9/5): - The food was good and well prepared. The service was excellent. A bit of a hassle to get luggage upstairs.
- Barbara (7/5): Motel bonito y limpio.
- Mike (4/5): - The room is no $186 per night room. 2 qyeen beds that move around all night. No coffee. Anyways wont ever stay again.
- Maria Preziosa (4/5): -
- JACINTO (10/5): - Fabulous experience. Vintage charm and furnishing. Mattress was vintage style with the coil springs just like the ones I grew up sleeping on. My room made me feel like I was staying at my grandmothers house. Very excellent experience. If you accept the fact that you are staying in Ann inn that was built in the 1890s you will have a great time. Will definitely stay there again
- Peter (6/5): - Friendly staff, good range of food available. Upstairs rooms were not air-conditioned, it was a hot night and difficult to sleep. Even a cheap fan would have made a difference.
- Lance (8/5): - Satisfactory!!!!
- jinansi (8/5): Overall good stay within budget - The rooms were spacious and clean No oven and fridge
- surendran (8/5): - Nice and clean property
- carolina (2/5): - For $200 a night, you'd expect the room to have a mini fridge and microwave, but nothing--zero-and the only gas station in town with food closed at 9 pm. total ripoff. beds were hard as a rock.
- Jean (8/5): We thoroughly enjoyed staying here. The restaurant and bar are great! Love the Victorian decor. - The location is wonderful, you can walk the whole town! The grassy, shady area for picnicking or enjoying a glass of wine was great! The floors in my room and bathroom could have used a good mopping. Felt a little dusty.
- George (10/5): - fine
- Meredith (2/5): Don’t bother - Terrible experience and we didn’t even get to stay. A mistake made by my husband led to the wrong date for the reservation (he made it for a Thursday when it should have been a Friday). It was our mistake but the manager refused to accommodate us even though there was a room available. They got all our money and we got nothing in return. We did not want a refund- just a night stay. And- we insured our stay. Hotels.com said they have nothing to do with the insurance. It was a joke all around. Don’t stay at the hotel and don’t buy the insurance.
- joe (8/5): - Room was not what I expected from the online pictures. It was adequate. We could not get hot water, not even lukewarm. Could not connect to wifi. And we had to air out the room for over an hour because whatever they use is really potent smelling and SOOOOOO strong. Almost made me sick and I'm not very scent-sensitive. But their price was right......
- Lucia (4/5): - The lock to the room did not work very well, it got stuck often. The sink faucets kept running, they could not be turned off. The two twin beds were awful to sleep on. The mattresses are so old that the coils/springs were the only thing I could feel. It was awful. The place is not maintained well at all. It was a very bad experience because the basic comforts could not be met. I will never return.
- Cheng (4/5): Contrary to other reviewers - Stayed1 night, No AC and no TV (different from confirmation info.) furniture - bad. I paid $119. Suggest Hotels.com remove this vendor from listing. I don't understand how it got 10/10 rating from some reviewers!
- Kirsten (8/5): Very good -
- Deborah (9/5): Would stay again - Location Nothing
- James (10/5): - Great staff and excellent food at the bar/restaurant. Highly recommend.
- Jbrae22 (8/5): Very good - The breakfast and dinner i had was very good. My room was good. Had one with an ensuite bathroom. More layout space for luggage would be nice which could be achieved simply in my room by mounting the TV on the wall. More outlets would be nice too. And blocking (windows film) over the transom window over the door so the light from the corridor does not come into the room at night would be an improvement. Nothing more but I know my brother hated the bed in room 16 and they even left a day early because of it.
- Daniela (3/5): Hard mattress. Tiny room. - Convenient location. Restaurant onsite. Terrible mattress. Hard as a floorboard with two lumpy pillows. Room about 5’x5’. No fan, hot as hell, slept with window open but facing some kind of generator outside. Don’t get a wink of sleep. Also the food at the restaurant was pretty bad. For a room that costs over $100, I expected more. Left after the first night. Would love a refund but didn’t get it because it was “within their 72 hour no cancellation” policy.
- Terah (8/5): Very good - In the heart of town Didn’t have a queen or king-sized bed available. Walls were not well insulated—noisy with showers.
- Kim (6/5): "Quaint" is a great word to describe the Inn. We had fun, but not overly comfortable. - The historical nature of the hotel makes up for a lot of short comings. Staff was friendly and accommodating. The bar and restaurant were so fun to have as part of the hotel. Room was exceptionally small, shared bathrooms are not ideal, but both are understandable, given the historical nature of the hotel.
What could really be fixed is that there is no air ventilation in the rooms. Even just a small fan or ceiling fan would not be difficult and would make a huge difference. Also, the shared bathrooms were fine, except that one of the doors didn't have a functioning door knob (it would not stay closed and locked) - not great for a shared bathroom.
- Robert (8/5): Enjoyable stay with feeling of nostalgia and an appreciation for yesteryear! Charming town of Bridgeport! - The feeling of stepping back in time to appreciate what we enjoy today! Americas past! Bed authentic but small for 2. Toilets very low to the ground. I’m assuming that’s the way they were way back when.
- Jacob (8/5): - Cute place, great atmosphere. Helpful and friendly staff. Of course old, but very clean.
- Lizhu (8/5): - Convenient and clean
- John (6/5): Pleasant -
- Caitlyn (7/5): Good - Walkable location Bathroom was a tight squeeze. But otherwise fine for a night.
- Nicholas (7/5): Ok place. - Convenient location. No in room coffee, fridge, or microwave. No pool. No hot tub.
- Jason (8/5): Very good -
- Gll (10/5): Good location to Twin Lakes. - Great staff. Great restaurant. Steep stairs.
- Michael (5/5): Passable - Windows had no locks on them…not good! Mattresses old.
- Brian (10/5): - It was really neat and old.
- Jean (7/5): Good -
- Amy (8/5): Very good -
- James (10/5): - Awesome staff. Very friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend. Will go again.
