Guest Reviews
- forrest3256 (10/5): Clean well run hotel - Very well handled memorial experience with a clean well appointed banquet room. Catering with Chef Donnie was perfect...no complaints
- Marlene (10/5): - Once the renovations are complete this will be amazing!
- Robbee (10/5): - Pool was down for repairs, No Mermaids
- Charlotte (10/5): - Enjoyed the central location of the O'Haire Inn. Loved the Sip and Dip and its mermaid. The complimentary breakfast was amazing. The bed was very comfortable. We would stay again.
- Dan (6/5): - The property is quite dated and in need of renovations. We finally shut the refrigerator off because of the noise. There are very few electrical outlets to charge phone’s etc.. The breakfast was good and the staff friendly and helpful.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Found hairs in tub. Otherwise decent.
- Suzanne (10/5): - Fun bar...great food
- Beth (10/5): - Friendliest staff around. Love the Sip N Dip and Clark & Lewie's access too.
- Sonja K. (10/5): - This place is great! Clean and comfortable and the bar is a must stop!
- Steve (10/5): - Great vintage place
- Hilary (6/5): - Nice welcome, place is old! Food is good, staff nice. Everything just feels old.
- Barbara (10/5): - This was my first time staying here & I will stay again. I love the mermaids in the pool, you can see in the bar. Laughed a long time. Food was wonderful. But, be prepared on some days to wait for a place to sit. Popular for locals. Gifts available if you need something last minute, too! Very nice.
- Shawn (10/5): - Old but that`s the charm. The Mrs was skeptical, but she had a blast.
- Jenni (8/5): - Staff, atmosphere everything was fantastic. Could've used a better ac cuz the room was a bit warm
- Ross (10/5): - The underground parking was a good feature because I’m on my motorcycle. Restaurant and bar on the property and right downtown for easy access to other amenities. Good price.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Quirky and Retro - Quirky hotel, throwback to the 50s vibe. Friendly staff, and good restaurant attached to it. Overall, not a bad choice, but had to sleep with the windows open due to a stale smoke smell (I’m asthmatic and am sensitive to smells)
- Angela (10/5): - This was all around a great stay! Great price, good food and bar on site! Free parking AND mermaids!! The retro vibe was so fun!
- Liam (10/5): - Loved this place totally worth staying here when in great falls
- Rochelle (2/5): - Also the lady that checked me in told me I was not allowed to have my service dog in the lounge because food is served there. It is 100 % illegal to deny my ADA federally registered service animal access to ANY where and then to tell me i am not able to go enjoy dinner in the lounge or restaurant because my SERVICE animal is not allowed!!! Feeling like her people are going to be getting a call from my people pretty soon. Familiarize yourselves with the laws that pertaine to ADA and ESA and the differences between the 2. In conclusion... after my stay i am cold tired and famished beyond belief. I would call this place a joke and not worthy of the notereiety its been given in recent years but this place is NOT funny , not funny at all.
- Phyllis (10/5): - The room was clean. Came with a tv & fridge. No microwave was the only downfall. Convenient location. Walking distance to downtown. Restaurant in the inn was great. Food was delicious.
- Thomas (8/5): - Mermaid in bar was lots of fun, food was very good. Room needs to be updated
- Micheal (8/5): - I liked the layout and different amenities they had. Great place to stay and the mermaids wehlļ
- Ky (10/5): - This is
- T5188OUmarkh (8/5): This hotel is not for everyone, but if you wanna visit a one-of-a-kind place, it takes you back to 1962, this is the pla - I love this place, but I have to admit it’s not for everyone. If you want to be transported back to 1962, this is a great place to stay. The owners have done a good job of renovating it without totally changing its character.
It’s not some generic hotel you won’t remember the next day, but the vibe is unlike any other hotel life stayed in. The staff is proud of their hotel. Their historic photos all over the place.
I stayed here on a motorcycle trip to Alaska. This was a key stop for me and my friends were jealous they couldn’t join me.
I was in room 131, a corner suite. It was nice. I could park my motorcycle inside a short walk from the entrance to my room.
The room was spotless. I liked the mermaid painting above my bed. The bed was too far from my liking and I like a firm bed. I still slept well.
Of course, if you stay here, you’re going to visit the Sip’n Dip lounge upstairs for the mermaids at the tiki bar.
The hotel has a full-service restaurant. It was cold rainy when I arrived so I ate dinner there. I had a shrimp pasta dish that was just OK. I did see some enormous tasty looking appetizers pass by me so maybe I just ordered the wrong thing.
The eggs Benedict I had for breakfast was really good. Huge oversize thick slices of ham on top of English muffins with poached eggs slathered with hollandaise sauce. Decadent
- Paul (10/5): - Great staff. Fun Bar
- Karen (8/5): - Friendly staff. Good price.
- Dean (6/5): - Kitschy and fun is one thing but problems with plumbing is another. While checking in a wo
A came down to explain her rooms toilet was not flushing right. Got to to our room and noticed the tub hadn’t drained properly. We moved to another room where the tub drained slowly. Heard another couple discussing similar situation with the tub in their room. Things were clean but smelled of stale cigarette smoke.
- William (8/5): 50s funk - Very fun 50's funky hôtel. Staff very friendly and helpful.
- Sherry (10/5): Great Throw Back Stay - The Inn was a great throw back stay. Tiki bar with mermaid was awesome. Staff was very friendly and food in the restaurant was delicious. Free breakfast was sit down and order!
- Michelle (10/5): - What a fun place to stay. From the retro rooms to the mermaids and live music at the Sip N Dip, we were not disappointed with our experience.
- Hayley (10/5): - What a gem! Loved our stay , clean funky room. Shower head sucked but won’t deter us from coming back. So unique and fun- excellent staff and friendly service .
- George (4/5): - Noisy mechanical machinery heard all night long🙁
- Hdinmj1981 (10/5): What a gem! - What a gem! This hotel wa a great find for our trip and we will be back with our kids as they will get a kick out of it as much as we did. Front desk staff was great , check in was easy and informative. There’s a secure parking garage complete with a bike wash. We requested a Retro-vated room and it was perfect. Clean, comfy and unique! Bed was great . Popped into the sip and dip for a drink and a snack - lovely staff , delicious appies and fun atmosphere .
We will be back!
- Lloyd (10/5): - Stayed in many a motel but there is only one with the ambiance of the O Haire Inn with the Sip & Dip.
- Ryan (10/5): - Thumbs up
- Richard (10/5): - It's just a fun place to stay!!
- Paul (10/5): - Always friendly, everytime i stay.
- James (6/5): - Outdoor bar is nice.
- Anna (10/5): - Great staff, vintage charm and style, good food onsite, local to everything and has MERMAIDS!
- Louis (4/5): - The property is very out dated and the rooms dont have a microwave. Wouldn't recommend
- Brooke (10/5): - Retro is always good. Friendly staff and i had stayed there years ago with Delta Airlines!
- Peter (10/5): - Staff was fantastic and very knowledgeable. Would absolutely be staying again when in the area!
- Brent (4/5): - Pool said was open by 8am, but had to go to the front desk to ask for it unlocked after the posted open time... Once they refused to open it because at 11am because it closes at noon.
Food from an event was left in a haul dumbwaiter for 6 hours after a breakdown event.... Stuck out in the haul and walked by it 3-4 times late morning to early afternoon.
- Marena (8/5): Nice Retro Hotel - We had a nice stay, nice retro hotel. Staff were awesome. The only concern was there was no A/C and are room was very hot.
- Jeremiah (4/5): - This place is not what it used to be. I remember staying here in the past and I was always impressed by the cleanliness and attention to detail. That appears to have gone by the wayside now. The rooms are poorly furnished and depressing, and not very clean. The area around the hotel isn't great, I was fine by myself but I wouldn't take a family there. The only thing this place has going for it is the Sip and Dip Lounge. Go for that, but do not stay in the hotel.
- Bill (8/5): - Like the old time look and feeling. The tremendous amount of homeless people is bothersome!!
- Steve (10/5): - The motel is great. Sip n Dip was good. Need ac tho. We did have a little misunderstanding at the restaurant tho. Did not get what we ordered. No discount like promised.
- Leslie (10/5): - Wonderful stay!
- Eva Jo (10/5): - Fun
- Laurie (10/5): - N/A
- courtney (10/5): - Unique history
- Cathy (8/5): - Dated but very clean
- Jeff (10/5): - Really like the 60’s vibe and the tile work in the bathroom is very nice. Grout very clean which is not easy to maintain.
Will stay again
- michellebP3558GA (2/5): Odd hours, sad place - The sip bar was so crowded with old people that no one could get a seat past 8pm. I guess if we went at 10 they would be sleeping. The rooms are freezing as the heaters are not the best. The biggest issue is they dont serve breakfast until 7am and blame COVID??? Covid that was 5 years ago... how can they still use that as an excuse? Even at the height of the scamdemic Montana didnt have any lock downs or masks anyway after like 4 months.
- michelle (2/5): Scary - The food was awful. The serivce sucked..and the hotel room was scary at best
- DARCEE (8/5): - Staff & check in were fantastic. Parking secure and easy. Beds were comfy and had nice bedding. Room was a bit dated (unfortunately didn't get one of the newly "retrovated" rooms) & the heating system didn't work properly. We had to leave the windows open the entire time to keep the temp below 80.
- Brent (10/5): Great Falls Paradise - Clean and comfortable overnight stay with added attraction of the Sip 'n Dip tiki bar.
- Ryan (10/5): - Truly a unique property.
- Kenneth (10/5): - Excellent staff at the hotel and very helpful.
The restaurant next door had excellent food and the service was great.
The servers at the bar wear also very friendly.
I would highly recommend this place!!
- Keith (10/5): Perfect - Great place. Awesome breakfast.
- Jon (6/5): - The property is getting tired. It could use some modernization and updates. But was a relaxing visit
- 474lovetoeat474 (8/5): Love the O’Haire - We love the O’Haire and have stayed at it numerous times. It’s old and quaint but the rooms are immaculate. The included breakfast is wonderful and no trip is complete without a visit to the Sip n Dip.
The staff is all very friendly and make you feel so welcome.
There has been a sign for a couple of years now saying that they are doing a “retrovation“ ; supposedly replacing carpet etc but keeping its original vibe. We were looking forward to seeing the changes this visit but alas did not notice anything different.
The food at the restaurant is very good, although a bit pricey, however the servings are huge. They tout it as “fine dining” which is a stretch considering the atmosphere and
Dishes etc, but it is wonderful comfort food. A couple of improvements would help in the rooms: the sink and counter is very small so really no room for toiletries. A small shelf beside the sink would be very helpful. And also a towel bar by the sink.
When we stayed in February the hotel was very quiet…not many guests. It would be nice if they’d reduce the price during lowered seasons especially to help offset the CAD/USD exchange. Or even offer “frequent guest” discounts.
- Melaine (4/5): - The bar was over priced and the Restuarant was gross. Both of our meals were done wrong and we found pubic hair and hair all over our napkins
- Wendy (8/5): Comfortable stay - The hotel was clean. All of the employees were super friendly. We loved having the parking garage since it was quite frigid. The bed was comfortable and the breakfast was a nice perk. We were really hoping to see the mermaids but the pool pump was broken or something. But we loved the tiki bar decor and the bartender was great.
- Mary Sue (4/5): - Hopefully the updates make a difference,
- Nick (10/5): - Restaurant was fast, reasonably priced and tasty. Dip n Sip was amazing, Montana Mermaids...
- Don (10/5): Great little find and place to stay - Cool little place ! Retro themed and amazing little restaurant and Tiki bar attached that has live mermaid swimming every night.
- Anita (10/5): - I have stayed here quite a few times! I love how kitchy it is!! The rooms may not be the most updated but you gotta love the bottle opener on the wall! And… if comes with free breakfast in the adjacent restaurant. Also I would be remiss to not mention The Sip and Dip bar… I mean cmon… mermaids and mermen swimming around… more kitch in the decor and fishbowl drinks ! My favorite place to stay in Great Falls!
- John (4/5): - Could not cool the room down below 80 degrees with heat off and windows do not open enough to make a difference
- Monique (6/5): - Very outdated
- Bruce (10/5): - In the middle of the winter gray, we wanted to find a little bit of sunshine. Ironically, Great Falls happened to be one of the warmest places in the state this weekend. So we packed our bags and drove 5 1/2 hours to stay at the iconic O’Haire, a classic, retro motor inn with tiki bar, and mermaids! We had so much fun!
- Tony (6/5): - Good food
- Lisa (8/5): - Loved the upgrades and the mermaids.
- Lori (10/5): - The property is one of a kind. Historic. Well kept. Clean. Staff is very helpful and friendly. The restaurant has excellent food. You get free breakfast! A REAL breakfast, not one of those continental breakfasts with fake eggs and greasy sausages. Mermaids! That's a plus.
- Jon (10/5): - It is a small comfortable place in a safe area with restaurants and shopping. The staff was friendly and helpful. And the mermaids are cute!
- Chris St (10/5): - Had everything a lounge and restaurant
- John (10/5): - The O’Haire Inn Is a Montana institution and home of the world famous Sip n’ Dip lounge. The decor is totally retro and evokes a motor in of the 1960s. But it’s the tiki lounge With a piano bar, cocktails, and a swimming pool with live mermaids
It is definitely not a late night spot, the mermaid start at around 6 o’clock, and the piano bar gets going about an hour later and they take a requests!
- John (10/5): - The O’Hare hand is the best you can find in the Great Falls also home to the sip and dip lounge, which is right now in the world over I highly recommended this hotel for a retro version of what like was like in the 1960s
- Kelly (10/5): - All great 👍
- John (10/5): - This is the home of the world, famous Sip N Dip Lounge. Centrally located as a very cool retro cool chic place to stay
- Brad (10/5): - Very comfortable with a nice restaurant as part of the hotel
- Dusty (10/5): - Peacefull
- Michael (8/5): - It's quite an comfortable needs more options
- Kim (10/5): - Our stay was so relaxing. The staff were wonderful, very friendly. Loved the mermaid and merman. Definitely will stay here when we are in Great Falls
- Cindy (6/5): - The hotel is unique, needs some upgrading, no plugins by bed for phones. No coffee machine in room. The staff was friendly however my reservation was lost and had to pay twice before Hotels.com called the hotel and got things squared away.
- Jason (8/5): - A unique stay. Needs a bit more maintenance.
- Ruth (10/5): Sip n Dip - Absolutely amazing and wonderful! Come here again!
- Dan (10/5): Excellent stay - Classic hotel for a nice weekend ride.
It is just fitting to stay here when out riding. And they cater to bikers which is awesome. Love the covered parking and the bike cleaning station.
Then chill in the bar and listen to good music and watch some mermaids
- Myron (10/5): Montana experience - Great well kept vintage hotel, the Sipndip experience is great and the food at the restaurant is very good and great value
- William (8/5): - Staff was friendly but room was stuffy and furniture was old but clean
- Karen (10/5): - The facilities were clean and it was very quiet. The bathroom fixtures are somewhat dated and inconveniently arranged. There is no rack for the hand towel at the sink, so where does one put it after hand drying? The stiffness friendly and helpful. The attached restaurant had a light menu as well as regular food. The hot apple crisp was delicious!
- suzie1001 (8/5): Magic - We really liked the retro look of the hotel. It is not too updated and keeps the original 50s feel which is rare. We just stayed one night and it was very comfortable and easy to park close to our room. Sadly the bar was closed as it was labor day. We had breakfast next door which was ok.
- Jim (8/5): - The young man who checked us in did not tell us of the Sip and Dip, so we missed our only chance to go up there. Also, it was very difficult getting the luggage cart to our room. We actually could not get it there. Otherwise, the stay was great.
- Karen (10/5): - I had my doubts when I pulled up, it looked like a run down motel. I was so wrong. Wonderful staff, unusual but great room good restaurant. And of course the mermaid
- Glenda (10/5): - A very fun place to stay! Comfortable and the Sip n Dip had mermaids!
- Experience786924 (10/5): The place to stay in Great Falls - The place to stay in Great Falls. We had a recently renovated room on the third floor.
Loved the retro vibe.
Convenient parking, elevator to our floor. We had dinner at the onsite restaurant. Seriously the best dinner of our trip. Breakfast at the same restaurant at no additional charge. I think there were four choices.
Can’t forget the Sip and Dip. Tiki Bar with the mermaid. So entertaining and unique! My friend and I had the best time. Kudos to the friendly bartender. He introduced himself but I can’t remember his name. Great reasonably priced drinks.
Definitely would stay here again!
- Corby (10/5): - Simple great place. Excellent staff. Lounge and restaurant fantastic
- Travis (10/5): Tip the mermaids!!!! - Stay for the mermaids and don’t forget to tip!!! Walking distance to downtown. Easy parking and safe. It’s outdated but you’re here for the mermaids. Free breakfast was good but small. Real restaurant so you’re competing w the locals for a table. Also go eat at Howard’s pizza. And a cocktail at magpie.
- RetFireman (8/5): tropical nostalgia - Our second time staying here, we love this kitschy tropical 50's themed motel. Great mermaid bar within a tiki lounge, there is occasional live music also. They have really spruced up the outside of the place and are renovating some of the somewhat standard type rooms. Indoor parking is available. All the staff were pleasant and helpful. A surprise high point was a delicious breakfast in their restaurant with the world's greatest pancakes. Only negative is the hallways on the ground floor which are drab, smelly and feel almost industrial. Not nearly enough to keep us away from this one of a kind establishment however.
- Bruce (8/5): - Excellent restaurant. Secure parking. Within downtown.
