EllenMSun (10/5): Tackle Box: clean, tidy, and a good night's sleep! - Really enjoyed our stay in the cozy Tackle Box. It's just big enough for a queen bed, bedside tables, and a storage unit of shelves, drawers and a cabinet. The unit held a kettle, plunger, cups and saucers, tea, instant coffee, hot chocolate, a tetra pack of milk, toaster, plates, bowls, cutlery, tea towel, cloth, and a fan. And there was still room to store some of our things. The comfortable bed had crisp new sheets. There were two towels, two wash cloths, and two bars of soap. The camp lounge and kitchen were nearby as were the toilets and showers. There were a few shops nearby and the beach is a short walk away. All in all a very comfortable stay!

More facilities for kids would suit better. A jumping pillow would be a hit for the park and campers. Seems to be an issue locally with balaclava dirtbike riders and no policing of this whatsoever. A second television in the main bedroom would be great!

Zu dieser Zeit schon ein bisschen kühl, der Elektro-Heizer hat es am nächsten Morgen wettgemacht

Friendly staff. Generally quiet guests. Neat, newish bathroom and a kitchen with everything you would want. Small cupboard/wardrobe in each bedroom. Plenty of bathroom storage. Both bedrooms in our cabin were tiny - barely big enough for a double bed.

Kayzie55 (10/5): Another fabulous stay at Whanganui Seaside Holiday Park - We visit with our tent every year in February and once again we had a lovely stay. Had a couple of nights of very bad weather in the middle of our stay and Tash was exceptionally helpful and put us up in a cabin to weather the storm; then tent back up for 3 nights. We love the vibe of this campground, the staff and the facilities. The swimming pool is awesome. Thank you for another very enjoyable stay. P.S. We are going back for a 3 night stay in a motel in March :-)

Each single cabin was a large room with multiple beds and bunks. No sink. Washing and lavatory facilities were in a nearby communal block. It wasn't especia.ly cheap just for a bed for one.

Navigator00271704467 (10/5): Great stay - Myself and my 3 children where on the way home from Wellington when the weather extremely terrible all roads got closed down and we needed somewhere to sleep for the night. This was the cheapest we could find on short notice. The staff where absolutely beautiful and caring, the grounds where lovely maintained even the the pool was closed it still looked like a nice place to cool off. The bathroom facilities where very clean and pleasant to use the showers very great hot water and great pressure. We would definitely stay again

Freedom61932554437 (10/5): Smaller and quiet campsite suitable for families with children - It is a smaller camp with very good facilities, kitchen, laundry and clean and regularly maintained toilets. It is suitable for tents and caravans, with adequate space for sitting next to the car and with an available electricity connection. Due to its smaller size it is quiet and provides real relaxation. The beach is about 5 minutes away from the camp. Good and nice place. I recommend it.

mareem2026 (10/5): Great place to stay! - A lovely park with a great feel to it. Next to a playground and skatepark, and across the road from the beach. Great amenities, always lovely and clean. Some powered sites a bit tight with a large caravan, but we did book late so probably all the larger sites already booked. Value for money. Even though we were there over New Year it was not a noisy place. Have stayed before, and will be back again in the future. Very friendly and helpful staff.
Fabian (7/5): Nice but a bit small - Close to the see and the city. The rooms in the Motel were smaller than it looked at the fotos. For a family with three kids too small for a few nights.

andypivett (10/5): Fantastic spot to stay - Great holiday park, very clean and well cared for. The park managers were very friendly and helpful too. Location was fabulous, right on the beach or a short drive/bus ride into town. Even though the park was very busy it didn't feel like we were crammed in. We had a lovely Christmas here with out 4 legged friends would definitely stay again.

Josephine (10/5): - For a busy time of the year, the holiday park was relaxing and no issues with any of the facilities. Nice location with a massive park and beach side within 2 minutes walk. Staff were friendly and helpful. Cabin had all the essentials.

Kubler (10/5): Cute and cosy. - Sweet little cabin, with all you need for a short stay. Compact but with everything you could need, plus a little veranda in front to sit and watch the passers by. Nothing.

wayne (7/5): Nice, quiet, peaceful location. - Nice and peaceful, cabin was good. Bed was great. Lady at check in was extremely helpful and nce. Wouldn't class ot as beach front While it is reasonably close to the beach we couldn't find a way to get through the back of the park to walk to the beach.
