Staff contacted us via personal WhatsApp over a misunderstanding, using a threatening tone and mentioning the police. They refused to provide identification, laughed when questioned, and denied us access to a manager or hotel policies. An unexpected charge of €350 was also added. We felt unsafe and unsupported in a foreign country and hope management reviews staff communication and guest care policies.

• Christen (8/5): Wir konnten Brixen kennen und geniessen lernen, in der Altstadt haben wir die Abwechslung gefunden. - Frühstücksbuffet ist sehr vielseitig und schön präsentiert. Eine Buchung mit Halbpension ist in diesem Hause nicht möglich, oder sinnvoll. Die Auswahl in der Speisekarte ist auf Pizzas reduziert, diese sind zwar gut, aber die ganze Woche nur Pizza ist langweilig.

You also get the Brixen pass, which makes the buses and cable cars free. Comfortable bed, nicely decorated room and hot shower. Breakfast was good, with a range of continental-style food. Cakes as well! 15 minute walk to the bus station and 25 minute walk to the train station.

• Renby (6/5): Not reccomended - Decent breakfast, central location in historical building Site pictures show views on mountains for the kind of room I booked, but mine was on a cycle parking instead - so be careful and make it clear you want mountain views. Room may need a bit of refurbishment. No AC. Overall, too expensive for what is being offered.

• Jessica (2/5): Good location but aggressive hotel owner - The hotel is in a good location for exploring central Brixen. The breakfast is good and the host was attentive. Reception and the check in process was good too. Shortly after our arrival, we had a very unfortunate interaction with the owner of the hotel. Understandably, she did not want me partner to keep his bike in our hotel room (which was required under his insurance policy) and rather than discussing this with us and politely explaining an alternative solution, she quickly became very angry and aggressive. Whilst my partner tried to explain that it was necessary for his insurance, she said her insurance would cover the bike in her garage, and when my partner asked if she could send an email to confirm this, she again raised her voice and said her word should be good enough. My partner asked her if she could calm down and she eventually stormed off. We were in the swimming pool at the time and I felt very attacked - all in front of other paying guests. It was very awkward and I felt very upset. If we hadn’t already paid for our stay, I would have left immediately. Other staff apologised and said this behaviour was not uncommon, but as the she is the owner, there isn’t a lot that can be done. My partner resolved the situation and we received a half apology from her later that evening, which made the remainder of the stay bearable. This interaction was very disappointing, as the other staff we met were all kind and welcoming.

The rooms were a great size and very clean, and the breakfasts had a wide selection with personalized choices. We have already recommended it to others visiting the area, and will definitely stay again if we come back to the area.

• Christopher (9/5): Great hotel when your goal is to visit Brixen/Bressanone - The breakfast spread was amazing. Great place to stay while visiting Brixen/Bressanone. If you stay in the summer and need to cool the room down, they will provide a fan upon request. Not their fault but the trip to the Dolomites took nearly three hours from here though it was only 40 miles away. There’s other choices closer to those mountains that we would’ve selected had we known the only road between the two becomes a traffic jam the entire way. Not the hotel’s fault but I gathered they were closer to the Dolomites from the website. My mistake.

• Verified traveler (10/5): - Historic hotel (very old interior) just 5 minutes walk from the centre of town ( very handy to reach in the car with private, free, internal car park). Very nicely decorated with very helpful and pleasant staff. We had a superior room which was spacious with chairs to sit to watch the TV and a lovely canopy bed. All very comfortable. The breakfast is amazing: all types of cold cuts which you can slice yourself, 4 types of local cheese (whole specimens to cut), orange juice freshly squeezed ( you put the oranges in the machine), make your own smoothie with fresh fruit and veg, 6 types of local bread( also to cut), jams, cereals, 3 types of yogurt ( 1 is with muesli and has to be tried), nuts, seeds, dried fruit to add and to be honest there was so much quality stuff, I really can’t remember. So a great stay and would highly recommend it.

Il personale dell’hotel è molto gentile e disponibile, anche a suggerire attività o controllare orari dei mezzi pubblici. La colazione è fantastica, molto varia, per tutti i gusti, ottima la frutta e gli yogurt. Piacevole anche la permanenza in piscina.

• Not Provided (10/5): Confort a due passi dal centro dal Centro - E' stato un soggiorno molto breve per motivi di lavoro e quindi non ho potuto sfruttare tutte le opportunità offerte dalla Brixen card che mi è stata consegnata all'arrivo. L'hotel è in un'edificio storico molto caratteristico, ubicato all'ingresso della zona pedonale e quindi comodissimo per raggiungere e visitare il magnifico centro storico di Bressanone. Camera arredata con gusto e classe. Il centro Acquarena si trova proprio di fronte all'hotel, quindi accessibile a piedi in pochissimi minuti. La colazione è buona ed abbondante. Il personale molto cordiale.
