Great place if you’re travelling with a larger group as there’s lots of space in the rooms. Swimming pool was excellent, clean and tidy with plenty of space.

- Supriya (10/5): - We had an amazing stay. Wonderful hospitality. Nice location and views, especially from the 2 bedroom deluxe villa on the second floor that we stayed in. Just one thing to be aware: it is a bit hard to find at first and entrance gravel road is steep.

They have a hammock on which you can relax. The bathroom is massive with sky light. Kitchen is good. We had quite a luxury experience. As bonus, we saw a group of squirrel monkeys that we got chance to see wuite close. The staff were super friendly.

We got the room 1 (back side, no decoration, super humid) and we moved to the room 7 in front of the swimming pool. (Nice, well decorated and better arranged with a patio and balcony).

- Mary (10/5): Excellent time at Villas Mimosa - Villas Mimosa was a perfect vacation home for my family. We stayed eight nights at the hotel. The staff and manager were extremely helpful and kind. The hotel was beautiful and had great amenities, including a drying rack for all of our wet swimsuits and a kitchen. Many of our favorite animal sightings were at the hotel. The hotel was visited by monkeys, iguanas, and macaws nearly every day. Additionally, we had the pleasure of seeing a sloth one evening climbing along the utility poles at the hotel entrance.
- Yoko (10/5): Paradise in Manuel Antonio - This was truly a paradise in Manuel Antonio and a stone's throw from both Manuel Antonio and Quepos. We saw Macaws having a ball in the tree next to the pool and many other interesting creatures. Apparently, monkeys, sloths and toucans also make their appearance, but we missed them during our time there. After staying in many hotel rooms, to stay in the luxurious and spacious villas and stretch out, was a rare treat. The villas are beautiful and comfortable. Ms Letty at the front desk is a treasure and made our stay a pleasure. Some tips from our stay: - The street that the Villas are on, is very narrow and easy to miss. It is called Hotel California Road. If you are coming up from Quepos, keep an eye out for the restaurant Mimos. Once you see, it the turn is right around the bend. There is a deep rut at the start and the hill is steep, so you will either scrape your front or back bumpers if you don't do it slowly. Ignore impatient drivers, put on your blinker and take your time with making the turn into Hotel California Road. Otherwise you will be sorry you didn't - To and From Quepos, it is actually more convenient to take Caie Vieja, instead of 618. More relaxing and you cross 618 to directly go into Hotel California road with good visibility. - Restaurants on the drag to Manuel Antonio are clearly touristy in both price and menu options. Quepos had fabulous, authentic options. - Eat at Sabromar in Quepos. You will be blown away - Go to Paruque Nahomi
- crystal (10/5): Home away from home - We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay during our family vacation to Manuel Antonio. The villas at Villa Mymosa are so private and our stairs only led to our villa. They are also very large with a full kitchen, dining table, 2 bedrooms and one twin bed in the family room area. The views are spectacular and there are plenty of private outdoor patio seating areas to enjoy the amazing scenery 24/7. It was like we had a home away from home. From our balcony we were able to see two types of monkeys right on neighboring trees and beautiful parrots that graced us all with their majestic presence. The owners took care of us like family and gave us recommendations on excellent places to eat, Agua Azul being one, which were all a very short (200 meters) walk or drive away. The park and beautiful beaches were short drives away and could easily be reached by taxi which usually cost 2000-3000 colones one-way or bus. They also called taxis for us when needed and made sure that my son's breakfast did not include anything he was allergic to. They new exactly where to direct us for certified COVID testing which required for re-entry back into the US. When we travel back to Manuel Antonio, we will be staying at Villa Mymosa again. My kids and I miss the nights on the hammock overlooking the tropical landscape already!
- Matthew (10/5): Clean, comfy, and personal. Loved it! - We loved Villa Mymosa! The establishment was small enough that we were able to have a personal connection with the staff. They took such good care of us. The breakfasts that were included were amazing! It was clean, cool, comfortable, and clean. There were many personal touches that didn’t go untouched like the craftsmanship in the one-of-a-kind furniture in the eating area, the artwork, the homemade corn tortillas and hot sauce, and hand appliquéd towel our tortillas were served in. I loved it there. I would definitely stay again.

The staff were also very friendly and attentive (let us know when a sloth was right outside the hotel). Overall, it was an excellent stay and we'd highly recommend!
- Patricia (10/5): 5 stars. - The accommodation exceeded our expectations. Just beautiful. We were staying in the two bedroom apartment. There were 2 full length balconies. One view was of the mountains behind and one was a view of the pool and gardens. Daily visits of Macaws and night sightings of sloths. There was no issue with safety. The restaurant on sight should not be missed. We ate dinner there twice. The food was delicious and beautifully presented.

- Linda (8/5): - Villas Mymosa is ideally located between Quepos the town and Manuel Antonio beach and national park. It is a quiet area with beautiful landscaping. The bus stop is across the street for easy access to the park/beach without fussing with driving/parking. I found this property very relaxing with a pool in the courtyard and hammock on our patio. A small restaurant overlooking the pool provided our included made to order breakfast and you could also have dinner here. The food was AMAZING. Everyone at this property was very friendly and helpful. The kitchenette in our villa was stocked such that we prepared a lot of meals after stopping in town for groceries. The only con to me was that inside the villa the furnishings are very spartan and older and worn. The air conditioning worked VERY well - super important in this hot and humid country.

She will do everything possible to make your stay comfortable and she gives you very useful information about the local area, activities etc. I don't know what we could do wothout her. The villa where we were staying was very big, with large terrase, kitchen. It was a pleasure to stay there and I will definitely reccomend these villas to the other tourists. Also the cleaning staff are hard workers. The rooms are very clean. We gave them some tips almost every day in the envelope provided. Every little helps!))
- James (10/5): A Hidden Gem 💎 - What a gem! Had no original plans to stop at Quepos, but having a long drive from Puerto Jimenez thought this looked ok for a one night stopover. Found Villa Mymosa on Hotels.com. When we arrived we were met by Letty, extremely friendly and spoke excellent English. She showed us to our beautiful room. Bright, clean and very relaxing. Front and rear patio areas. Wildlife spotting good. Plenty of birds, geckos and Spider Monkeys viewed from comfy surroundings. Breakfast very good. Excellent location for Manuel Antonio Nature Park. Letty advised we took local bus from outside hotel to avoid parking issues and costs at Park-really easy and inexpensive. Loved the place so much we stayed an extra night. They even did a large bag of laundry for us for $8- returned folded very quickly. Can not recommend this hotel highly enough!

- Marko (6/5): Need to be refreshed! - The hotel is well located just at the entrance of Quepos and close to Manuel Antonio National Park. Unfortunately, the rooms are in a very bad condition. It's not really comfortable. It looks really old and need to be refreshed.
- eve (6/5): Not what I was expecting - Front desk lady has an attitude like check in and get out. To lazy to show you your room just gives you keys and your own your own. The rooms are spacious that's the only good thing. But fridge it's old not even clean. Dirty inside, bathroom is horrible old and no shower curtain. You also get cheap toilet paper that kind of cheap paper that your fingers get dirty cause so thin!..the whole place it's painted white so you can see the sweat dirty marks from previous tenants on the wall. Free breakfeast is not good either found hairs in it twice...the bacon they give you seems it got cook like 3 times so hard ..like I said if you want to stay here is your call and your money..i won't stay here any longer. This place is a little hard to find its better if you have a car..cause the restaurants are uphill..i mean it very up hill you get tired if you walk to go eat.

- Jen (8/5): Everything you need - Our experience here didn't start so well. when we checked in, our room did not have hot water. Also, we had a room with 3 queen beds, I think it was called the 1 BR, anyway the bedroom itself does not have a tv in it, the living room does, but the bedroom doesn't, which is rough especially if you have kids with you. The hot water was fixed and we stayed 4 nights. The room was clean. The restaurant onsite was fantastic. Michael the chef is incredible and watching him cook was awesome. The hotel is close to the bus stop to the beach or into town, which is a huge bonus. I recommend u take the bus everywhere. The villas were spacious but basic, with everything you need but no frills. I found it to be a good value.

- Edwin (10/5): Pleasantly surprised - The room we were assigned was excellent. Plenty of space with 3 full size beds so my teenagers where able to have their own bed. In addition it had a kitchen with large refrigerator. It had a terrace where it had a large hammock and next to it a table for four to enjoy the outdoors. Pool was bigger than it looked in the pictures and very clean. The breakfast was always freshly cooked to order and delicious. Overall my family and I truly enjoyed our stay at Villas Mymosa and definitely recommend it. Pura Vida!
- Doron (10/5): Surpassed our expectations - Much better than expected!! This is NOT something that usually happens. We feel that we received much more than what we paid for, so it was extremely fairly priced. We had friends who stayed the same days at another hotel for a much higher rate and said our room was better. The only thing we werent pleased about is that the safe in the room is per charge, which is not customed for that amenity. also the Wifi was poor. other than that the place was amazing! Even the breakfast was really good!

The hotel called the van driver that I left my camera in the room.The hotel made arrangement with the transfer company to bring my camera with the next van coming close to where I arrived. What a relief! Talking about the customer service.This hotel took care of me beyond their duty.Also having a full kitchen helped me a lot just when I was getting tired of restaurant food.

- Minerva (10/5): Nice condo :) - We visited during Spring Break and stayed 3 nights. We stayed in condo #4, a party of 3 (mom/dad/college kid). It came with a stove, dishes, microwave, fridge and coffee pot (coffee not included) and plenty of square footage with A/C. It wasnt luxurious but we were real comfortable. We bought some groceries and stocked the fridge. The pool was real warm after 5pm. The breakfast was included and just 'regular' but was a good way to start the daily adventures. I was satisfied. The Gringo included eggs, bacon, fruit and toast. The homemade juices were AWESOME. Staff was cool. They washed our laundry for an extra charge. Parking was available for our 4x4 rental. Nice place. Good for large families.
- Ashley (8/5): Nice stay - The hotel was off the busy highway which was convenience since the bus stop by across the street. Hotel staff was helpful to call a cab for us in the evening and there was security in the evening so we felt safe coming home in the evening.
- quepos trip (8/5): Quiet escape from bustling main street - The hotel is perched up a typical mountainside away from the crowded bustling main street. The pool area, with the bar/restaurant overlooking, was quiet & welcoming. Prices at the restaurant were reasonable & the food/drinks were good. Staff was pleasant & gracious. Our included breakfast was delicious! The room is very basic - only suggestion is making guests aware the air conditioner runs by a remote control (it was quite hot , despite the two fans& the remote was tucked aside not being found until we were leaving in the morning). Lastly, the 2nd bedroom had a frosted window that backed the bathroom wall...when the very bright neon bathroom light (which happened to face the frosted window)was turned on the back bedroom was fully lit - not pleasant for those sleeping there in the middle of the night. Otherwise, a fabulous stay - the welcome party of monkeys & the property's dog were fully enjoyed :)

- Verified traveler (8/5): A family vacation. - The hotel was nice to stay at. The room was spacious and clean. Some creepy crawlers running around but that is to be expected. I did ask the front desk to look after the lack of hot water in the shower. The hot water lasts for about two minutes then you'd have to fittle with the handle with the hopes of getting it back. The pool was nice, clean and warm. Overall at nice stay.
- MP (8/5): Good option for the price - Our family of four stayed in this hotel for one night because our longer term stay wasn't ready yet. Luxury it is not, however if luxury isn't your thing and you are looking for a comfortable stay with a bang for your buck then this is a great option. The room was a bit musty but it was hot and humid and I think it would be hard to keep a "fresh and crisp" feeling without running the A/C all day. It was fine once we got the A/C going. The room was clean, had a kitchenette and sitting area and three beds (FYI...apparently it is a thing in CR that beds are not made with blankets but rather a couple of thin sheets....warmth wise it was fine, I just prefer the weight of a blanket). TV w/cable and a nice patio area with a table and chairs for eating and hammock for relaxing. We enjoyed swimming in the pool and the lady at the bar seriously made THE BEST pina colada I have ever had. We ordered dinner. It was ok, but it was definitely freshly made and piping hot.which counts for a lot after a long day of travel. We had an early morning tour so we didn't enjoy the free breakfast, but that is also made to order and they had CR and American style options. The staff was nice and the kids loved Meggie the dog. Overall it was a great stay and good value.
- Jen (4/5): Disappointing based on other reviews. Left early. - Had stay booked 3 nights. Easy to find off main road. First hotel staff got us checked in early. Room/suite was large. Could easily fit 4 adults and three children. Large balcony that was private. That was the end to positives. 1) no hairdryer in rooms so asked front desk of they had one guests could borrow-- they did not and just said they do not have them. 2) asked front desk for Kleenex as none in room--front desk said rudely they do not provide. 3) ants on kitchen counter-- told front desk and they said rudely maintenance was not there and there was nothing they could do. 4) pool was dirty-- they were using pool water to clean the deck. 5) there are no room boarders-- all rooms in the suite are open to allow air flow so no privacy. 6) A C in 2 bedroom areas only so kitchen and sitting room were warm as cold air drops and even though ceilings were open the cold air did not move. 7) there was no water pressure in the shower-- impossible to get shampoo out and water splashed out as tile not high enough-- no bath tub for children. 8) breakfast staff not friendly & did not speak any English for tourists. 9) bath towels old and stained blue-- no wash cloths and only one hand towel provided. 10) beds just a mattress on concrete block. Many "normal amenities" that occur in American and Costa Rican hotels were not provided. We called Expedia and changed after one night. Would not recommend. We have stayed in many Costa Rican hotels.

- State worker (4/5): Buggy and Muggy Hotel - There were dead bugs and a dead animal in the bathroom. At night salamanders were on the wall and bugs the size of house sparrows. No AC but floor fans provided.
- Prerit (8/5): Good hotel, reasonable price, good location - Very spacious room, is really a villa. The location is good, with places to eat and other entertainment nearby. Staff is hospitable and friendly. Definitely worth considering, especially when travelling with a large group.
