• RIKUHEI (8/5): ロケーションと部屋は最高レベル - ロケーション、部屋に洗濯機と乾燥機があり毎日洗濯ができたこと。部屋が広くくつろげたこと、窓からの景色が素晴らしかったこと、バスタブがあったことかな。 部屋のタオルとシーツの交換が無かった、タオルは洗濯機と乾燥機があったので持って行った洗剤で洗えたから良かったけど、４日間泊まったのにコーヒーも洗濯機の洗剤も１回分だけだった。レジデンスホテルだから自分で買ってこいと言うことかな？

Because everything we needed was in walking distance. The bed and linen were super comfortable and the laundry facilities were a bonus . Nothing to change I will stay here everytime I need to stay near the cbd.

I booked a room specifically for the balcony but what we were given you absolutely can not use that as a balcony cause you cant even step outside the bedroom

• Thomas (10/5): Great location - everything you need to self cater - The building and lobby areas were far more luxurious than I was expecting, so that was nice surprise and my view was fantastic, looking directly at the Sky Tower and across the whole city. The apartment has everything you need, very handy to have a washing machine and tumble dryer, managed to do all of my laundry before flying home at the end of my stay. The gym is really good, pretty big and loads of equipment. If you doing touristy stuff like the Sky Tower, ferries to the Islands etc they are all walkable from the property and the main shopping area is in the next street. Staff were all helpful and friendly and they can look after your luggage for the day after checkout. I couldn't cast my phone onto the TV as it kept saying the Tv wasn't connected to the same network, but I was using the one on the instructions - it wasn't that big of a deal to me though really the wifi worked on my phone okay
• Barbara (9/5): Lovely Apartments - The apartment we has was very comfortable and a great size. it was clean, comfy and within walking distance to the wharf, city centre and art galleries. We took the explorer bus from the city centre to see attractions that were a bit far to walk. The staff at the reception were friendly and professional. The shower head was quite low.

• Alan (7/5): A bit of a mixed bag to be honest - The room was more than adequate. The Nespresso machine was a nice touch. It was easy to get air into the room through the Juliet balcony. The shower was hot with plenty of water pressure. We were given a room reasonably high up the building with a view that included the Sky Tower. A really nice gesture was a cake of chocolate and bottle of wine waiting or us in the room when we arrived, as we were on a 'sort of' honeymoon after our recent wedding even though this wasn't our reason for travelling. The front of house staff were really friendly and supportive, especially at check in. The location was second to none as everywhere in downtown Auckland including the Sky Tower, waterfront, Spark Arena, eateries and public transport were all in easy walking distance, and the property was surrounded by shops you wanted and shops you needed. There appeared to be no ventilation from the bathroom- certainly no active fan. Fortunately there was a mirror demister. No one appeared to come in to clean or replenish the supplies in the room while we were staying (this may be standard practice) but we had to search for more soap and coffee capsules. We didn't bother with asking for new towels as we were only there three nights. This seemed a bit odd. Two lifts of four were out of service the entire time we were staying, which in a building geared for 400 people, led to some quite lengthy wait times. At one point we were waiting in the lift lobby on our floor while two maintenance guys were working on one of the other lifts. In the middle of our wait one of the men had to take a call from someone who was evidently high up in the hotel management. It was impossible not to overhear the pressure being put on these men to get the lifts working, while the maintenance man was having to push back and say that he couldn't do this, because of issues around safety. I asked about carparking and they said they'd arrange it as the building has its own multi floor car park, but I found out it was actually $50 per night! The car rental cost $176 for three days, the car parking $150!

• GameKage (9/5): Nice little apartment stay. - This was our second stay at the Avani Metropolis and we really enjoyed this room. Despite it being a smaller apartment then our first booking this one felt better appointed, with a cosier warm vibe and good flow through set up. The amenities seemed better quality as well and the view as always was great. We would definitely stay in Avani apartments again. It was a little close to the elevator and the open plan meant that the sound echoed through the apartment. Fortunately we were only on a one night stay and had to leave early in the morning but this might have been annoying otherwise.

• FenH (8/5): Apartment living in a great location of Auckland. - Great location, and obviously the reception area was amazing. However our room seemed smaller than the photos on the website but it was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. As we were staying six nights the small hob, dishwasher, washer and dryer were really useful additions to the usual kettle and microwaves. There were supermarkets a short walk away but for eating out there were lots of eclectic cafes, fast food places as well as pubs and bistros to choose from. The staff, particularly Tegan, Aga and Kayla were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again.

• Hinatea (8/5): Séjour agréable - J'ai apprécié l'emplacement, proche du centre ville. L'hôtel est agréable. Le personnel est souriant (sauf certains qui manquaient peut être de chaleur ou en étant avenant). Une belle vue de la chambre côté parc Albert. Par contre, ceux qui sont assez pointilleux sur le bruit, vous pourrez parfois être dérangés (bruit de la route et boîte de nuit). Mis à part cela, nous recommandons cet hôtel. Petit plus : vous avez des restaurants et snack non loin. Parfois le personnel pouvait manquer de chaleur, n'était pas très avenant. Il manquait une bouilloire dans la chambre.

• Christine (10/5): Perfect for our stay in Auckland. - A lovely Hotel. The one bed apartment we had was perfect for our 2 day stay. The apartment was comfortable and the facilities within it were ample. The location to downtown Auckland was perfect. Plenty of restaurants nearby. Close to Spark Arena and very walkable. Certainly would stay at Avani again when we come back to Auckland. Can't think of anything.

It was perfect for a week long stay Location is perfect: close to the ferry pier, the bus terminal, the sky Tower and and other attractions. The view from my room was fantastic. I loved the pool that is long enough for lap swimming (I think it's 20 mt). The gym is a bit old fashioned but it has everything for a complete workout
• Rafał (10/5): Amazing - Location, beautiful view facing sunset and sky tower, bath, kind and welcoming staff, WiFi, sauna was nice and accessible Kitchen is quite small (as expected) and hot plate seemed like needed a long time to warm up, managed to cook breakfast tho. Still 10/10, definitely will be back.

• Zsofia (10/5): Amazing apartment at a great location - - nice and helpful staff - great location - amazing view - comfortable bed - equipped kitchen: microwave, toaster, utensils, some tea, sugar and coffee - they were able to store my luggage before check-in, and after check-out at the reception - safe neighbourhood - secure building (you can only use the elevator if you swipe your room card) - 24-hour reception - they only provide 1 garbage bag and 1 small packet of dishwashing liquid
• Leigh (7/5): The stay was satisfactory, without being exceptional. - Excellent location to take in the city. Views from each room were very good. Facilities, including in-room washing machine, were good. Parking facility was good. Powder room was way too small. Bed linen was clean, but not crisp and fresh enough.

• Erana (10/5): This is my second time staying at the property, and I now consider it to be a “home away from home”. - Every room seems to have the most stunning views. The staff are incredible, and even accommodated my desire for an early check in which made life so much more easy for me, and I was able to transition into Auckland life without a hitch! Also….the world’s most comfortable pillows. I wanted to take them with me after two nights of laying on clouds. 😉⛅️ Love the location also. The property is a little bit tired or unfinished in the rooms. However, if this helps keep the prices down, then I’m fine with it! There’s literally no downside to this property.

• Dave (9/5): Great location. Very comfortable rooms. Great staff - I didn't really know how close the accomadation would be to CBD but it turned out to be perfect for access to the city centre. The room was very comfortable and clean and probably exceeded what I expected. Overall I was very happy with my choice The only small issue i had was with parking onsite. The receptionist didn't really explain how to access the car park but, to be fair, i should have asked as well.

Although we booked an apparemment with one bedroom we got one with two; the result was that every space, main bedroom and living room, to be very small. In addition the apparemment looks a bit old in specific aspects and needs renovation.
• Gordon (10/5): Exceptional value, perfect location, and amazing staff. Top marks - Amazing spacious suite in central Auckland on the edge of a park. The staff were totally amazing. We had one small issue with the room which was attended to immediately, non of this "we'll send someone up" that you often get. Really friendly staff who could not do enough for you. Exceptional. Will definitely stay again
• Ana (8/5): - Absolutely love the Avani Metropolis. This is the second time we have stayed. It will always be our first choice when we visit Auckland. The room we had this time whilst OK however wasn't quite as good as last time. It is showing signs of wear and tear so needs a bit of TLC.
