- Irina (2/5): Very disappointing experience - We chose this hotel specifically for the safari experience, which was the main reason for our visit. Unfortunately, due to a booking error on the hotel’s side, we missed the activity entirely. The situation was not handled efficiently. At the reception, there was only one staff member, and we had to wait for a prolonged period without support or escalation, which resulted in further loss of our limited time. It is also important to mention that we travelled approximately 4 hours from Dubai to reach the property. Given that our stay was only for one day, losing such a significant portion of time dealing with this issue had a major impact on our overall experience. In addition, the property did not fully meet expectations based on the photos. Certain areas appeared less well maintained, with visible signs of wear (for example, chipped surfaces in the bathroom and sunbeds that were not in the best condition). The overall atmosphere also felt rather quiet and lacking in activity. In the morning, there was noticeable noise from machinery operating near the villa, which was quite disruptive and made it difficult to relax. Instead of enjoying the stay, we spent a considerable amount of time waiting and trying to resolve a problem that was not caused by us. Overall, the core experience we came for was not delivered, and the level of service and responsiveness did not meet expectations for a hotel of this standard. This experience significantly affected our perception of the brand. P.s: It has now been over 2 hours, and I have still not been contacted by any member of management. This level of disregard is highly unprofessional and not in line with the standards one would expect from a hotel of this calibre.

- Schohn (5/5): lets just say we wanted to leave the same evening we arrived - how quiet it is. staff is very nice and polite but they all seem to be new at least the ones we interacted with. the beach was not nice though kept clean, sand was rough. the food was the worst thing about the hotel. we tried in room dining, the bar, and the dine-in. all options were horrible. we were asked to try the savannah restaurant in the other resourt (15 mins by car) why would i go to another resount when i paid for this one? theres nothing to do, you need some proper water sports. we did the safari, and the biking which was ok theres no boutique. i needed sunscreen, and a hat (what if a guest had their luggage lost?) the breakfast is so sad, i realize it wasnt a full house but there was no point on displaying the food will not recommend, will not come again.

Perfect scam to get more money out of us as the deluxe villa perfectly fits 2 adults (king size bed), 2 young kids (queen size sofa bed in another room) and 2 crib. Felt like we were being ripped off with the second villa. We stayed in Al YAmm villas. The villas are clean and spacious and the resort is beautiful to be fair. How over priced everything is. - Mansour (2/5): It wasn’t pleasant - My experience at this hotel was very disappointing. The staff were rude and unprofessional, and they made up rules that don’t even make sense. One of the most frustrating things was being told that guests are not allowed to bring their own snacks from home. It’s honestly embarrassing how far they go just to push you to buy food from their restaurant, even when the food there is terrible. It tastes horrible, and some of it isn’t even edible. What makes it worse is that they don’t cater to people with dietary restrictions. If you’re gluten-free or diabetic, don’t expect to find proper meals or even snacks that meet your needs. It’s like they don’t care about guest comfort or health—just about making money from their low-quality food. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a respectful staff, reasonable policies, or decent food options.

- Stephanie (7/5): Lovely get away from the bustling city - The island is beautiful and the grounds are very nice. It’s easy and convenient to get to the other hotels for meals and such. Staff is friendly. Rooms are nice and spacious. Love all the animals. The food was not as good as expected and expensive. Their outdoor bbq live station at Al Shams was cruel to the poor cooks who were outside working on grills when it’s already 45C outside and 100% humidity.

The location is great, for the whole duration of our stay we had the impression that we are in a tropical vacation. I highly recommend any of the villas. Al Yamm is perfect for sunshine and beach lovers and Al Sahel perfect for those who want to enjoy the wildlife in their own backyard surrounded by trees. The pricing of F&B is surprisingly good as well. Would 100% recommend any of the 3 resorts from the island.

- Maria (4/5): No more pools in this place! - Place is quiet and spacious so guests arriving with kids do not make much disturbance. Stuff is quite polite and friendly (even absolutely not organised and helpless). Food is quite good in quality and taste with fair price In pool of our villa were swimming ducks and in the morning cleaning guys were washing brooms after removing the poo exactly inside the pool! We notified management of risks to get cervicosis or gelmints or god know what (imagine for pregnant!). So they emptied the pool and were fulfilling it additional day - we lost to have normal rest we paid for! After this accident the cleaning stuff continued to clean their brooms in other villas pool avoiding coming close to us. After second and third notification management bought new broom which the cleaning guy just replaced instead of using different kits for poo and for water where people swim!
- Ahmad (6/5): Overall the resort is okay. 6/10 at best. I wouldn't stay here again or recommend anyone else to. - The island is gorgeous and the safari was incredible. The safari guide (I forgot his name) was EXCELLENT. He truly made this stay worth it. The buffet breakfast was impressive as well, good variety and decent quality. The rooms don't have any privacy. We were first put in Villa 18 which has NO privacy at all. Anyone walking on the path or sitting (outdoors) at the restaurant can easily see in the villa if the shades are open and the entire back area is exposed from all directions (restaurant and path to one side, and other villa to the other side) - this is 100% unacceptable and needs to be fixed. We asked to change rooms and luckily enough, they were able to move us to villa 25, although it took around 1.5 hours for this move to happen. We weren't able to unpack and feel settled until around 6PM. Villa 25 was a bit better but the right side is fully exposed to the neighboring villa - I don't understand why there isn't something to block it - bushes, a fence... anything. There is zero privacy which defeats the purpose of getting a villa. Anyone can easily see everything in and around the villa. Customer service is SO slow... everything takes so much time to finish. A simple question takes 10-15 minutes to get answered. There is so much staff everywhere but they are all super slow and take forever to get anything done. From ordering water to the room, coffee at breakfast.. everything takes so much time to finish. Not a very premium experience for such a premium resort.

The original architecture is beautiful and fits with the environment. Most of the staff is making great efforts to provide the best service. Some of the activities on the island are very exciting The infrastructure starts to show signs of wear and tear. The level of service is not what one would expect from an ANANTARA. The quality of the food was mediocre. Half of the island is under construction and you can watch the trucks and the bulldozers from the "serenity" of your expensively paid veranda - even on Christmas day !!!

- Anne (10/5): Fantastic Stay with Excellent Staff. Lovely hotel and Island for special birthday visit. - We all really loved the hotel and the island. The staff was superb, from reception and the lady in the bar to the chef and the staff at breakfast. A big thank you to housekeeping who made a magnificent birthday setup for us in the villa very quickly while we were at breakfast. Room service came quickly and the gentleman who did our turn down service was also very helpful and looked after us. The villa was stunning with an upstairs dining area and glorious views over the sea. I would also definitely recommend doing the safari to see many unusual animals. We hope to visit again. Thank you to everyone who made our stay truly memorable.😍

The room was wonderful, clean, and perfect to celebrate a birthday weekend.This is the perfect hotel for a weekend getaway.The resturant menus options are an excellent value. Gamra Omrani from Al Yamm makes the restaurant experience overall a pleasant place . I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who visits.
- Andrea (1/5): Beautiful location, inflexible guest experience. - Location and nature was great. The tour guide was well informed for both archery and safari drive. 1. Inflexible with guest request - zero accommodation for requests 2. Overpriced dinner and activities for the value - Olio Italian meal was extremely expensive for the level / quality of the food 3. Timing for the ferry are not favorable if you arrive past 6pm you have to wait until 11pm to reach the hotel by the provided ferry. Otherwise will charge you 4,000. Once negotiated for a fishing boat - the price for 20mins shuttle to hotel was 1,500 dhs. Which the hotel charges. 35% cost of the entire stay. Impossible to comprehend. Management provided a free safari which was 1.5hrs drive tour through the reserve - value of 760dhs as a offset to arriving at the hotel.

- Harshit (3/5): Not at all vale for money. Old hotel and facilities!! - Food was good, but service very slow. All Facilities and infrastructure are very dated now, was like visiting a 15 year old hotel. Needs a complete overhaul. The restaurant staff were not able to take the long weekend load in terms of services, were simply super slow. Construction happening every where on the island including infront of the villas. Swimming Pool is old style.

Return journey to mainland should be managed better. - The breakfast was good. though we felt that the spread could have been more elaborate in more items to be added. Villa did not have much of seating space internally. the external seating was very nice though. the journey from main land to the island was via private ferry managed by Anantarra. However, the return journey - ferry from Sir baniyas island to the main land by very bad. it was by public ferry transport. The AC was not working, there was no fresh air in the seating area of the ferry. We were very nauseated.
