I didn’t get a chance to check in until well after midnight, and Doniella was the warm welcome I received when I arrived. Considering that I was separated from my luggage, she gave me some recommendations on getting the essentials that I need. She also informed me that when my luggage was delivered, I would be contacted and informed that my luggage was safely in my room… And she kept her promise. She also gave me a list of restaurants that I should try before I leave Kansas City. After venturing out to my conference, I received the call from Tashae at the front desk, informing me that my bag had been delivered, and Lakota delivered it safely to my room. I am grateful for their kindness and care for me and my things. Upon my return, I had the opportunity to meet them, as well as their colleague, Brian. We had a great conversation about great places for dessert in the city as well as other local eateries for me to experience while I was visiting. Words can’t express how grateful I am for their kindness during my stay and I look forward to coming back to Kansas City and staying at the Fontaine again.
• douglassP9329NH (10/5): A perfectly curtated experience in the Presidential Suite - At the outset, I would like to thank the incredible staff at The Fontaine for curating a perfect experience for my wife in the Presidential Suite - thank you Tashae Tanisha Lakota Tamara Lake!!! From booking to check out - I was informed, notified, and kept in contact with all events. This stay was a surprise for my wife and her friends - a celebration for a successful completion of Chemo. The room was decorated with thoughtful character. What an incredible room, with view and a balcony that was impressive. Overall, this is the level service one would expect from Presidential accommodations, but from what I heard from other guests - they were also impressive with the facilities. Interestingly, there was a tornado warning and watch - the staff communicated the emergency, guided us to the storm shelter and kept everyone safe! Again, thank you for the wonderful stay and a special thank you to the staff Tashae Tanisha Lakota Tamara Lake! All made this special occasion memorable.

He was efficient and hilarious and made us feel at home. One of the managers, Gawana was very kind and helped fix a small issue we had leaving us super happy and felt like they cared about our experience. Would highly recommend!

• Resort35091778442 (2/5): Very disappointing. Not at all what was expected - The service is great HOWEVER the accommodations are horrible. We came to KC for valentines weekend. on Thursday night our first room smelled like raw sewage and we had to ask for a room change. The 2nd night we had no hot water and was told the boiler was having issues. The 3rd night still no hot water and had to take ice cold showers. I spoke with management a d was told I would be receiving a credit which would be left at the front desk. No such envelope was left for us. I do not mind paying close to $400 per night for a clean hotel with good service but this experience was beyond ridiculous. I could have stayed at a basic chain hotel for half the price that offered hot water and did t smell like sewage. Reviews were great which is why we stayed here but it was a horrible experience

• Dreanew (10/5): Kansas City Gem - The Fontaine - We recently stayed at The Fontaine Hotel in Kansas City for a quick staycation getaway as part of our 20th wedding anniversary and Valentine’s Day celebration — and it was absolutely perfect. We’re celebrating 20 years by doing 20 awesome things, and this stay definitely made the list. The interior design alone rivals many hotels in the city. From the moment you walk in, the aesthetic is elegant, modern, and thoughtfully curated. Our suite was amazing — spacious, beautifully styled, and equipped with every amenity you could think of. The rainfall shower was a highlight and gave the entire stay a luxury, spa-like feel. Our stay included a complimentary drink, which was a lovely touch and set the tone for a relaxing evening. The next morning, we chose breakfast in the café, and Hailey and Analiese provided top-tier service. They were attentive, warm, and made the experience even more enjoyable. Between the hotel itself and all the things to do in the surrounding area, it made for the perfect romantic getaway without ever leaving the city. We will absolutely be visiting again. Highly recommend for anniversaries, Valentine’s Day, or any special occasion.

These three staff members were so welcoming and friendly to my colleague and I traveling from Fort Lauderdale. They answered all of our questions and were very knowledgeable. We both felt that they really went that extra mile to make us feel comfortable so far away from home. Not to mention that it was Brian’s first day and as a teacher, I can tell the trainers were doing an excellent job setting the bar high for him. He did great as well, we wouldn’t even have known that it was his first day until they had to teach him something in the computer lol! Later that night we also had a great experience with the bartender at the hotel bar- Joey. The service was amazing and we had a great time!

They were detail-oriented and responsive - The food was top-notch - The hotel provided complimentary parking for the attendees - Encore provided AV as specified, and was available had we needed troubleshooting - The space met all of our requirements - WiFi was fast and reliable (we had 20+ participants using it simultaneously)
• 710jpv (10/5): We will return - We spent the past Friday and Saturday at this property. It has been more than a couple of years since our last visit and we were very pleased with the experience. The front entrance isn't the easiest to find or navigate but once arrived we were set. Checking in was actually fun interacting with Tashae who made the process lively and informative. She is a gem and learning my wife was celebrating a birthday and we were in town for our granddaughter's first birthday we were treated like royalty. I mentioned we had dinner reservations on the Plaza and she reserved the shuttle for us which was extremely convenient. We didn't visit the gym or the rooftop even though Tashae provided us with a $25 gift card. I realized I had left a book in the room after leaving so doubled back to the hotel and Tashae expedited a new check in and key allowing us to get back on the road. All personal encounters we had with every staff member during our stay were uniformly positive. Although we requested two extra pillows it was for naught as not a one of the six was even decent. The basement parking area is certainly convenient as I self parked but the directions leave much to be desired within the lot.

Tashae went above and beyond to make us feel welcome even going out of her way to take a photo of us before we left for our Saturday night dinner reservations (during the rush of check-in). Lakota was wonderful to work with and made the ease of checking in and out and validating parking smooth. The cafe on the first floor really was the icing on the cake. Delicious breakfast even better lattes. I’m so glad I’m local so that this can be a consistent part of our date night celebratory rotation.

It was a spur of the moment choice due to a snow storm and wanting to get out, so the atmosphere was intimate and low noise. Our dinner server, Jace, was a total DOLL. He offered great recommendations based on our interests and never let our water empty. I got the snickerdoodle per his rec, and I am SO glad I listened. I need to get his schedule because I want this experience every time - he set the bar high!

• Lisa (6/5): Happy with everyone working there just not our room. - The staff was amazing! They went above and beyond for my daughter's 30th and my granddaughters 5th birthday!! They had two platters of gorgeous and most delicious chocolate chop cookies displayed in our room when we walked in!! Oohhh and not to mention one of the front desk conciergeis brought her two beverages tickets for our stay. They did an excellent job!! They need toknow what an amazing job their doing.!!! You truly have an excellent staff and thats hard to find these days! To begin Ii was charged a total of either $36 or $38 for the parking garage. Every time my daughter' and I retirned from somewhere we always had the front desk click our ticke.t So I'm not sure what happened there? Then when we got to our room we were quite surprised to find that the room wasn't that clean at all. There was things underneath the bed and surprisingly the mirrors were barely wiped down. Then we went to put our belongings in the fridge and well that was dirty as well. So in order to put our belongings in the fridges we had to clean that as well. For a hotel thats been or is still being remodeled i would not let guests stay in that room. There was paint on the floor, then it looked someone had drilled a few things in the bathroom and the mess was still there. Also there was hairs on both of our bedding. Im not sire if the beds were new or not but they truly were one of the most uncomfortable beds we had slept on and we travel everywhere. I was thinking for the price I paid for the room I was expecting at least a comfy bed. And finally you might want to mention to the cleaning staff that they need to move everything thats possible when vacuuming. You know its the littlest things that matter, like putting the trash bag inside the cans, have everything dusted off. To you it all may sound petty but I try not to ever leave a bad review but this time I couldn't let it go. My husband owns a restaurant so I know all to.well about keeping things looking great at all times . No exceptions! We have staff meetings once a week so that everyone's on the same page and know exactly what needs done every day. We reward our employees very well if they are working to our expectations.
• ZHENG (9/5): 很好 - 很好的酒店，距离纳尔逊艺术博物馆不太远，步行就可以去。感谢酒店前台的那位热心漂亮的女孩，由于第一天晚上房间在停车场入口那边有噪音，第二天她帮我换到楼上一个安静的房间。她很nice，还去过北京紫禁城。感谢这位女孩！

• Andrea (6/5): Pleasant until we got back from our night out, ruined the vibe for the night after. - POOL was amazing, Dinner was GREAT & Coffee next morning was perfect! The parking wasn't ideal, you would think it would be validated for staying and eating etc. The day staff was GREAT! Evening, not so much. We were there for a bachelorette party and when we got back and wanted the OVERLY priced snacks you would think our customer service would of been great. HORRRIBLE! They were rude and acting like we were putting them out for ringing in a few bags of chex mix.

• Q2756WBrachelb (10/5): Donielle is my idol <3 - We came for a staycation for two nights and our room the first night was a little noisy... so I went to the front desk and talked to Donielle and she was the most pleasant, kind, and helpful person to talk to about hopefully switching rooms. She didn't skip a single beat and helped right away. She was about to get off for the day and left a note for the people coming for the next shift incase I didn't come back down for the new room in time. She wrote down the specific rooms that were available that would be less noisy so the next shift knew exactly what we had discussed. She made me feel so welcome and comfortable. If everyone in the hospitality industry provided the experience that Donielle gave us... well, I think people would take more staycations!!! THANK YOU DONIELLE <3

• m5858 (2/5): Do not recommend as a Chase Edit hotel - This hotel was recently included in Chase’s Edit program and we visited at the end of Dec. I suspect the hotel was just overrun due to people using the credit before it expired at the end of the year. Everyone around us was using Edit. -No welcome amenity provided -Restaurant where you can use credits is atrocious. Slow (1+ hr for breakfast), orders consistently wrong, wrapper served in food, food overcooked/undercooked, items missing -Housekeeping never showed -Charged for “urban fee” and tax, despite room rate stating taxes and fees included, hotel would not budge on this Room itself was nice and hotel location was good. Would recommend looking elsewhere.

• rebeccapierce08 (10/5): A definite asset to the Country Club Plaza area - This hotel was a good choice for us to easily walk to the Country Club Plaza. Our room was very nice and the restaurant served good meals. The best part was the Front Office Manager PTasha Handspike. She was welcoming and very helpful; she is an excellent ambassador for the hotel!

• robertosadaSD (2/5): Disappointing: room in need of maintenance, confusing Amex benefits, poor staff service incl. housekeeping/front desk - Extremely poor experience at the Fontaine booked through Amex. The sink in our room (429) did not drain properly, one of two lamps did not work, housekeeping didn’t make the bed properly (bottom sheet didn’t fit the bed and the mattress pad was exposed), and the room was too hot despite setting AC at 62. Also, we were double charged for parking the first night as the check-in attendant did not explain that the $28 for parking was billed via the hotel and we did not need to pay to exit the garage but should instead have called up to the desk as the check-out attendant informed us. Finally, the $100 Amex Hotel Collection credit was apparently issued as two $50 gift certificates to the hotel bar - this was not stated anywhere on the letter we received in check in and we have never received the $100 credit as separate gift certificates, so we thought these were on top of the $100 credit. Fortunately we didn’t use them. Also appreciate that the $100 credit could be used for parking and the urban fee, but the confusion over the $100 credit/certificates, unacceptable room issues, and the difficulty we had at checkout with the understaffed front desk (they were unable to provide us with an itemized bill) will prevent me from ever staying here again.
• 444briab (10/5): Cozy Night Out - I enjoyed my time at the Fontaine Igloo experience! When we arrived, we were greeted by Brianna who was very charming and helpful. She gave us the run down and made sure we’d be cozy. Our server, Amia, was also great! She checked on us several times and made sure we were comfortable the entire time. The igloo was super cozy and warm which was very nice. It was the perfect place for conversation, food, drinks, and an overall great time. I’ll for sure be recommending friends and family.

• K9932AMkylee (10/5): Smooth Service, Great Atmosphere at 901. - 901 at the Fontaine is a solid spot all around. The food and atmosphere were on point, but what really stood out was the service. The manager, Guana, clearly runs a tight ship and made sure everything flowed smoothly. Big shoutout to the bartenders Joey and Nolan as well — attentive, friendly, and they know what they’re doing behind the bar. 11/10 recommend.
• Z2237DUjamesd (10/5): The Fontaine doesn't disappoint! I tip my hat to their Management. - Great Hotel! It was our 4th stay there, and it was good experience, again. Everything was clean, the service was awesome, and the food was outstanding!
• Opal4775 (10/5): Highly recommend! - Great ambience, great location a few blocks from the plaza area. Our room was upgraded due to our credit card. The room was very roomy and well appointed. We had drinks and appetizers in the 901 restaurant and everything was great. We will definitely stay at the Fountaine on our next KC visit!
