• 814fredys (2/5): Run away as fast as you can……This place is a HAZARD to your health!!!!!!!!! I’m calling the Health Inspector. - I checked in around 5pm as i was in town for a dance competition at the Miami Convention center. As soon as a checked in, the employees left and didn't even give me time to check the room in case I needed additional pillows or towels. Given I was in a rush, I thought nothing of it and thought I would have time a little later after our dance event. When I returned back with the family and began settling down, I noticed the bathroom was disgustingly unclean with MOLD on the window and windows curtain faucet. There was literal garbage swept under the beds and couch. The housekeeping didn’t even clean our room. The floors were somewhat dirty and my Wife instructed my kids not to walk without their shoes barefoot. I decided to stay given the 12am time of settling in and address my issues with management in the morning and OF COURSE there was no Manger on site in the morning just a new trainee. Who trains without proper supervision onsite (RED FLAG). I was still asleep while the trainee spoke to my wife while she expressed her dissatisfaction and on top of that, they charged us a late check out fee REGARDLESS of our concerns. After I woke up, I went directly to the guest services (Aka Trainee) to speak about checking out thinking they would have some courtesy and not even charge me a late checkout fee. I was redirected to the Manager named John via phone and he was so rude telling me he worked for the Marriott in the past (I WONDER WHY HE NO LONGER WORKS THERE? )and when I told him about the health concerns of our room, he said there was nothing wrong without even being there physically to see it and that they have quality rooms lol I told the trainee to follow me back to the room and she herself was shocked after I showed her the mold in various areas of the room and said she understood my concern's but that she couldn’t do anything because her Manger didn’t care and this was not the first time guests complained about this even though she has raised the concerns to him in the past. DO NOT take any risks with your family at this place, I’m filing an investigation request from the city of MIAMI of this place.

Slightly awkward interaction at the pool on each occasion we visited- overly amorous couple in hot tub, unable to work music which was very very loud (iPad available in clubhouse).

The actual set up of the room was really nice, we enjoyed the view from bed into the courtyard. We found it a little confusing when it came to figuring out what gate or entrance to use at night when we first arrived. Once we had figured that out it was easy. We noticed a lot of mold in the room. There was a window in the shower! Yes in the actual shower! In the window there was a white wood blind covered in black mold, it was gross! Overall the room just smelled like mold and mildew. If it wasn’t for that it would have been a fantastic room!

Music over the PA goes on at 09.00 am and it is too loud in the room. Sheets are a little too short and too narrow. Bathroom is getting moldy, especially the blinds and ropes. Nasty when your in the shower. Parking is expensive.

• ClaraTriz (8/5): Era exactamente lo que buscábamos, aunque podría estar más limpio - Buscábamos un alojamiento cerca de Miami Beach pero en una zona tranquila. Esta ubicación es perfecta, porque estás a 15 minutos andando de muchas cosas (playa incluída) y muy cerca de sitios para desayunar, comer, cenar, tomar un helado, estar en una terraza y hacer un happy hour. Al revisar los precios, si querías quedarte en este rango (entre 600 y 800$ por 4 noches) había muchos alojamientos de estas características, donde sabes que no van a a ser muy nuevos, ni van a estar especialmente bien insonorizados y, además, mantienen los costes bajos porque no hay recepción 24h ni limpieza diaria. Asumiendo esto, elegimos 1818 Meridian y estuvimos muy contentos y a gusto con la decisión. La habitación era, en realidad, un apartamento pequeñito, más o menos moderno, y con acceso por clave (lo que nos permitió hacer un check in remoto, ya que llegábamos de madrugada). Tenía una cama queen size, TV, wifi, toallas y sábanas limpias, secador, un pequeño armario abierto para guardar ropa, y una cocina con lavavajillas, basuras, nevera, microondas y menaje de cocina. Aportaban productos de limpieza de cocina y unos pequeños botes de gel, champú y acondicionador también. Tuvimos suerte con los vecinos y no eran ruidosos, aunque claramente la insonorización es regular. Nos dimos cuenta de que nuestro apartamento era más antiguo que el resto, quizá por eso tenia un precio ligeramente inferior, pero como íbamos solos en pareja, fue más que adecuado. Lo que claramente podría mejorar es la limpieza. Sabíamos que no iban a hacer la habitación en las 4 noches que estuvimos, pero al llegar te encuentras que el suelo estaba bastante sucio, la alfombra decorativa no se había aspirado en mucho tiempo y las superficies tenían restregones de que se había pasado un trapo sin mucho interés. La verdad es que, como hay un supermercado Publix a 5 minutos andando, compramos unas toallitas Clorox, un spray mata mosquitos (y un par de botellas grandes de agua embotellada). Pasamos las toallitas por todas las superficies, usamos siempre chanclas en la habitación y en la ducha y todas las mañanas ventilábamos la habitación al hacer la cama, y dejábamos cerrado, con el aire acondicionado puesto y una buena cantidad de Raid. Aún así, no es que estuviera extremadamente sucio pero entre que no estaba muy bien y el deterioro de los muebles por el uso y la humedad de estar en un sitio de playa... deberían ponerle algo más de interés si sólo se limpia de vez en cuando.

• Anna (9/5): Comfortable and convenient stay - Excellent location! We were able to walk most places we wanted to go to. The kitchen was a decent size and well equipped. Clean and comfortable! Would stay there again! The only issue was that the tv in the room could not connect to the wifi for some reason. The wifi worked though so we could use our phones for music.
• Diego Alejandro (9/5): Quiet, cozy stay. - Location is superb, a centric location within South Beach you have pretty much everything there in walking distance, quiet and cozy with a great staff and a very good looking property, the kitchenette was super helpful and very well equipped. The sofa bed was a bit uncomfy and some of the items in the property (like some cabinets) were rusted or not as thoroughly cleaned but not a big deal tbh.

Un 10 Que no me hicieron el cuarto ni cambiaron toallas y al hacer el check out se sorprendieron y me dijeron que hay que avisar para que lo hagan cosa que no me habían dicho. Y un inconveniente que se inundó la habitación ( aparentemente era cafetera rota ) y quedaron en venir a las 22 hs. Los esperamos sin acordarnos hasta las 23.30 y no vinieron y lo hicieron al día siguiente a las 7 hs que estábamos durmiendo. Pero detalles de mala interpretación mínimo para lo positivo que tiene

• Martin (8/5): Amazing - The staff was super friendly and the room was very cozy. It was also near a great outdoor plaza with restaurants and stores. That the door to the room did not have any additional locks on the inside.

• Nastazja (10/5): - We loved our stay! You can grab a bike for free and enjoy the quick ride to the beach. John from the reception was great! He made our stay even more wonderful:) I would definitely come back there next time.
