- Bryan (9/5): Great value and a lovely place to stay. - Breakfast excellent. Hosts delightful. Room very clean and tidy. Room a little small , but not really a problem.

- Stephen (10/5): Quiet, peaceful and relaxing. - Great breakfast, tasty, fresh and plenty of choice, served in a dining area with a superb view. The hosts were friendly and accomodating. The only thing I could criticise was that the room chairs were not the most comfortable, although there was a chaise longue in the room as well. Availability of the use of the properties main lounge was also unlimited

- Anjali (10/5): PARADISE!!! - This place has truly captured my heart!
I’ve travelled to many places, but nothing—and I mean nothing—has come close to this. Jane and her husband have created a little slice of paradise. I’m honestly considering quitting my job just to stay here and help them take care of it!
Jane is the warmest host. She spoiled us with delicious food and treats throughout our stay. I had planned this trip for my partner’s birthday, and when I told her about it, she surprised us with a bottle of Prosecco in our room. It was such a sweet gesture that made our day even more special.
I still dream about those breakfasts, absolutely heavenly! Every bite was perfection. And don’t even get me started on Bobby and Maggie, the donkeys, and Billy and Ruby, the goats. They were so friendly and full of personality! I’ve got tons of pictures with them and honestly wish Booking.com allowed me to upload more, just so everyone could see how magical Swallows Rest truly is.
At night, make sure to grab a picnic blanket and head out to the garden. The stars are unreal, like nothing I’ve ever seen in my life. You’ll just sit there in awe, wondering how you’ve never noticed how beautiful the sky can be.
I genuinely believe every person should visit this place at least once in their lifetime. I’m only 23, but I want to spend the rest of my life being as kind, hospitable, and welcoming as Jane. Every little detail, from the cozy books and garden to the thoughtful baskets she prepared for each room, right down to the fresh milk, was filled with love and care.
We’re already planning our next visit. Swallows Rest, you’ve set the bar impossibly high.

- Mia Kate (10/5): - Our recent stay at Swallow's Rest was memorable and incredibly relaxing. The peaceful ambiance and beautiful setting were striking from the moment of arrival. The garden was a highlight, offering tranquil surroundings and a chance to relax in nature.
Meeting the chickens, geese, goats, pig and the gorgeous donkeys on site added a unique and charming touch to the experience. Watching the small birds at the bird feeders in the morning at breakfast made it a very relaxing start to each day. The incredible hospitality of the host, Jane, made our stay exceptional. Her amazing attention to detail shone through, making guests feel welcome and well-cared for. The feeling of being in a "home away from home" was especially appreciated.
Swallows Rest is highly recommended for a relaxing getaway with a personal touch. It offers a lovely garden and friendly animals.
