- Kerianne (6/5): Horrible room and hotel in general. We were happy with how they finally resolved the issue - The ceiling collapsed in the stairwell from our bathroom leaking and the hotel wanted to put down a bucket. They only switched our room after much insistence on our part. Staff did not attempt to clean up the stairwell without maintenance, so it went hours without a bucket or even a caution/wet sign. There were broken beer bottles outside on their property, there was blood on the banister that took a while to be cleaned up. The bathroom was ridiculously tiny. The staff did finally upgrade our room because of the bathroom, but it took a lot of push on our end. We were happy with the room upgrade, but switching rooms in the middle of a short vacation with kids is a hassle and took away from our vacation time. We probably won’t choose to stay here again.

- Ronald (6/5): It's lower level. - Great location close to restaurants and the boardwalk. Accommodations were fair. The photos look much better than what you get. If you want something for a few nights on the cheap, this will do. It's the bare minimum.

Small steps easy to fall down.. pictures deceptively, NO POOL!!!!! $10.00 go to onto the beach.

- kevin (4/5): You get what you pay for - Location good, but you sacrifice for it. Can’t even open room door half way because it hits the bed. Have to turn sideways just to move in bathroom because it is so tiny. A/C is in the bathroom. Have to keep bathroom door open to get air. If you open bathroom door it covers the TV. Not exaggerating. There was no bulb in bathroom light because prio bulb was broken off and jammed. Had to keep tv on just to have a light at night.Bulb socket wide open in a bathroom. If someone is coming out front door when you are trying to come in, the landing is so narrow you could knock someone Down a flight of cement stairs to the sidewalk. Stay if you have tolerance and good medical insurance. I fractured a toe just getting in the tiny shower because there was an 8” piece of wood across the threashold

I have to wet my body then step away from the stream to soap up and scrub then strp back into the stream to Rinse off. I would do a night or two but anything longer get a better hotel. The dtaff is really friendly and it is convenient to the beach and shopping.

We showed the staff and they had no where else for us to stay so we had to leave and book a last minute most expensive and farther away option as the nearby places were full. Just ignored what we were saying and held her hand out for the key. If could give 0 stars I would. WONT be coming back. And tell others to look elsewhere for lodging in OC

Which was good coz you had to go up at least 20 steps just to get in the door.. I even asked about steps.. they really need to say that you have to go up a very steep flight of steps to get in... We had 2 dbl. Beds. Two TV tables. The only light was ceiling one and bathroom. , no smoke alarm. TV with wires hanging on the floor.. closet no door paint splatter on floor. Bathroom was awful toilet so close to sink I had hard time getting off. No toilet paper roll holder. So it would fall next to toilet but it was so close to wall couldn't get it.. Sink coming loose from wall. Shower head was terrible and tried to take Shower before bed no hot water. Not worth 662. For 2 nights.. I have pictures. Swimming pool was shared by the place next door.. should mention things like that.. So sorry about this but I was really upset, didn't say anything to the staff coz I probably wouldhavemadeascenemy grandson was there. I Love Booking. Com but not if the place are this bad..thanks for listening..

- Dana (2/5): It’s a place to shower and sleep, nothing more. - The beds were comfy. There is not much else good about this place. There is trash strewn about the parking lot. It blows out of the dumpsters and it smells horrible. The place needs an update. The fridge rolled down the kitchen floor every time we opened it bc the floors slant. You’re not guaranteed a parking spot bc it’s first come, first served. We got home from an evening out, and there was not one spot available in the lot. Instead, it was full of MANY cars that did not have parking tags. If you think of it as a place to shower and sleep, you have the right attitude. Don’t expect more because you will be disappointed. And do not buy cinnamon buns from Bun Rush, which is right next to the blue water inn. They were terribly dry and had no flavor. The iced coffee wasn’t good either, and they don’t give you a lid. The kid working was so nice, but he had to tell everyone that they have no coffee lids for iced coffee because his “boss doesn’t buy more”, eventhough he says he keeps asking him to.

- Allyn (8/5): - Our group had a fine stay at the Blue Water Inn. We chose the property because it was inexpensive even at the peak of the season and centrally located. The room was clean and cold. We enjoyed using the covered porch area for dinner and games. Downsides were: the climb to our room, which was on the 3rd floor after a steep flight of stairs to the lobby/front desk - not the most pleasant after a long hot day on the beach or walking around the island. The pool is small and located past the dumpsters in the parking lot of the hotel next door. Again, the price was right for this stay and in my younger days I might not have minded the pool and stairs, but I think us middle aged ladies will shell out the extra money for a more comfortable stay on our next visit.

Also the bathroom was running the whole time and the ceiling above the staircase to the third floor was leaking heavily . Staff was polite . The room served its purpose but was too small could not even walk in the room. The bed took up whole room

- Kamille (8/5): - My stay that the Blue Water Inn was pretty good. I didn’t read the reviews until after I booked, so I was a bit worried that it was going to be a nightmare. My experience, however, was good! The room was clean, the contactless check in was great. When I needed help finding my room, the front desk person was so helpful. Overall, it’s obviously not a 5 star hotel, but for a 1 night trip to OC, you’re not gonna beat this price.

- Shavon (3/5): My Friday check in was extremely horrible. - The location near the beach It was not what I paid for. They gave me a single bed when I asked for standard double. Not to mention my door would not like at all. I had to find another hotel to stay at which they put me into there neighboring hotel.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Blue at Blue Water Inn - AC did not work properly--barely cooled room enough to sleep. Toilet tended to backup with slow water flow--several flushes needed. We did get clean towels as needed--apparently there was a minimal room service. Floors were clean. Frig and microwave worked. Several electric outlets were nonfunctional. Not at all as depicted in online materials.

- Angela (7/5): - Location as the room was recently redone. Bathroom was falling apart. No shower curtain, but didn’t really need it with a towel on the floor. Carbon Monoxide alarm was chirping like it needed a new battery. Staff indicated that it was supposed to do that and took it out when I suggested changing the battery. We love this location though and it is a great price. Generally clean and friendly staff. Allowed us to park there next day while at the beach. Shared pool is small but very nice and clean and enough for what we needed. I would stay there again.

- Nicki (4/5): You get what you pay for - Because of the low cost, there were pretty much mostly teens and young adults that were drunk and high and very noisy until after 2:00am. The parking situation is quite odd as you have 1 long parking spot that 2 cars fit in, so if someone parks behind you, you have to hope they left their keys with the front desk or that they can be reached if you have to get your car out. The pool was nice and relaxing. It is a very old building, that while the charm from that is cool, it badly needs to be updated.

- Laura (8/5): The location is perfect & super close to the boardwalk. The pool was nice to have as well with our kids. - The room was newly renovated so it was updated, spacious and clean. Had a mini fridge, microwave and the small amenities needed. However, we didn’t stay at the blue water inn because they called and stated it was having issues and we were placed at The Forum. I originally booked a 2 bedroom apartment so at The Forum I was offered 2 hotel rooms with a conjoined door. The bathroom door is now a barn sliding door that was not correctly done. It kept coming off the track and making it extremely hard to open and close.

There was blood on the bed. It was not good. We didn’t stay. We left about an hour after check in & asked for a refund.

- TRF (3/5): Disappointing and run down. - Friendly staff and the location wasn't bad. Parking was also a plus and the TV was a good size and had good streaming. Wow, this place needs a serious upgrade. Broken, old furniture, carpet was buckled at entrance to bathroom, box spring covering was filthy and bedspreads were cheap and old. I pulled the night table out to look for an outlet and there were potato chips and crumbs behind it. The shower was obviously painted over (why?) and my 18 year old son, who isn't very discriminating, did not want to use the it, now that's sayin' something! You can hear your neighbors and the people above us were either very loud or the place just isn't very solid, my thought it is the latter. They did settle down so we could sleep. For the price, even for Ocean City in August, it was way too high.
- Edward (1/5): See the other comments - First of all, when we got to the Blue Water Inn it was closed for the winter. We were directed to another Inn by a note on the window, The Tahiti Inn. The new motel was a lower class place that was not worth the money we spent. We were never notified by phone or email so we could have found another place to stay. Very poor communication and I would not recommend either of these this hotels to anyone.

Got a neighboring hotel to tell manager. He Never contacted us. Poor communication waiting for double charge to be refunded Even Booking couldn't reach hotel to get matter refunded and cleared. Credit card company stopped the double charge and is investigating Double charge. Will never stay there again.
