Ellie (10/5): Fabulous from beginning to end! - From the time we arrived, Carl went above and beyond. Greeting us at the door, helping us with the bags, helping us to park our car (he came with us so we didn’t get lost!). The room was so comfortable, the decor was beautiful and the mattress was heavenly! We had the best night sleep - I suffer with a bad back and I slept the best I had in years. Couldn’t recommend the Devon Guest house enough! That we only stayed for one night!

Kim (10/5): Fantastic hotel fantastic location fantastic continental breakfast - Upon arrival we was welcomed the first impressions they say count and the B&B was beautiful outside and inside looked clean and smelt lovely Tace took us to our room which was great Breakfast is continental which is good but my partner and daughter had ham and cheese toasties which they said was very nice they was arrange of things to pick fruit yougurt porridge croissants cereal etc my 6 yr old daughter said that was the best apple juice ever!! Location was excellent Chris & Tace the owners were very friendly nothing was too much bother even messaged us often this is a fabulous hotel we highly recommend it and the owners should be very proud of what they have made We will visit again thank you so much Devon House

Nous avions un problème et les gérants de l'hôtel nous ont aidé à le résoudre...vraiment très cordiaux. Le lieu est très plaisant avec un confort appréciable. La décoration est très soignée...félicitations pour leur travail. Nous avons pris le petit dej et c'était assez copieux. Le lieu est très bien situé...proximité de la jetée et du centre ville sans pour autant avoir de nuisance sonores. Je vous recommande ce logement avec ses hôtes fort sympathiques. Je sais que si je devais revenir dans les environs c'est dans cet établissement que je me rendrai. Je conseille fortement cet établissement. Rien...Tout était parfait.

alexandria sparrow (8/5): - The location was very good, very close to everything that you needed, the rooms were lovely, decorated very nicely and spacious. The couple who checked us in were nothing but kind and caring people, I would definitely come back and stay again. There wasn’t anything I didn’t like there were just a couple of minor things, such as the bedside lamps didn’t work and the rooms were very cold, my daughters room especially she was very cold and she would of liked another pillow or blanket in the room. There is no parking and you can’t park outside the property for longer then 5 minutes, so as we was leaving my partner went and got the car and drove it to the front of the property so we could loads our bags and put our little one in the car as we had an 8 hour drive back home and he hadn't been gone for less then a minute to help me carry stuff down the stairs when a traffic warden came along and fined us for parking there, we tried to explain we was just checking out and literally was loading our bags in to our car and that the car hadn’t even been there for less the a minute, but the traffic warden was very rude and didn’t seem to care. So this did unfortunately ruin our experience a little.

Ross (10/5): Stunning guest house - A beautiful guest house well worth a visit. The owners Carl & Tace were exceptionally welcoming, and when asking our expected ETA welcomed us early at around 13:00. It’s very tastefully furnished and decorated. Breakfast was continental, which is my partner’s preference (too picky of the quality of cooked breakfast. We took a business card for future trips. They can’t help that there’s no onsite parking, but tipped us off. It was a tad warm overnight but they’re looking to get lower tog bedding. Neither really detracted and we look forward to a return visit.

Suz (10/5): Home away from home - Everything. The hosts Carl and Tace were amazing. They ensured we had all of the information we needed ahead of arrival and were very accomodating. The rooms were clean, comfortable and well presented. Great central location for travelling around the area including Cornwall. Lovely pier and main street with restaurants. Lots of kids activities nearby. The Prehistoric Caves are also nearby. Breakfast was delightful, well presented and they catered for a variety of needs with simplicity and warmth. As my son said "it was home away from home". Thank you so much for a lovely visit.

Noble (10/5): Perfectly peaceful in Paignton - Carl, one of the proprietors of the Devon House, reached out to us before our arrival and made sure all was in place before getting there. The room was very clean and full of charm. The location was superb, a short walk to everything and across from Victoria park making it a quiet getaway. Carl and Tace were warm and welcoming, checking in with us every morning and upon return in the afternoon and evenings. Highly recommended. Nothing. Experience was wonderful.

A few minutes walk to the beach,shops,town and pubs/restaurants.There is close by parking which you can pay on the app or card. Our room was comfortable, very clean with tea and coffee facilities. The guest house is very well presented and well maintained and we were made to feel very welcome by Carl & Tace in a relaxing environment. We hop to be visiting again in the near future.

The entire place is kept in a very nice and clean condition and always responded to queries quickly during the stay. Location is right to the seafront and a big council open car park next to the property. Very convenient in terms of location. Would definitely consider to stay again if we ever come this way again.

You can tell a lot of care goes into keeping everything clean and welcoming. The location was perfect — peaceful, yet close to everything you might need. It made getting around super easy. Personally for us our room wasn't big enough and we felt it was quite cramp for 2 adults but apart from that we had a great stay.
Bettina (10/5): Fab place to stay! - I enjoyed it so much to stay in this beautiful house a stone's throw away from the coast with a cosy outdoor garden terrace. Tace and Carl are lovely people, they know the area very well and are kind and super helpful in every matter, I could even checkout later, because my train was not going until midday. Beds are super comfy, yummy continental breakfast is served in a cute Cafe-ish place with wooden counters and coffee makers. I would stay definitely there again when in the area, thanks a lot Tace and Carl for a very pleasant time! Can’t think of anything

Craig (10/5): Beautiful & friendly guesthouse - Lovely guesthouse that has been updated but still has kept its beautiful character. The owners Carl & Tace were so friendly from the get-go and we really liked our room, especially the bed itself, how clean it was and the location. You’re really close to the centre, sea and a nice little park/gardens opposite. Carl & Tace kindly let me keep my wheelchair in the hallway too which really saved us having to keep putting it back in the car when going out. We also really appreciate that we were allowed to check in early too. Added bonus was meeting the two cuties Louis & Daisy the dogs! Would 100% recommend and wouldn’t hesitate staying again if we are back in the area.

Natalie (10/5): We definitely recommend Devon House Guest House - Wonderful location, great rooms, well appointed and comfortable. We stayed here for the English Rivera Airshow 30 May to 1 June. Our host Carl sorted free parking nearby during the airshow weekend which is no mean feat in itself. The family room is brilliantly laid out and equipped, enough space for us parents and our two preteens. Towels and linen were all high quality, tea/coffee all there including hot chocolate for the boys - perfect after a chilly swim! The guest house is wonderfully positioned near the seafront, great location for restaurants, bars and beachfront activities.
Jordan (10/5): Paington Stay. - The property was perfect for what we wanted. We booked on last minute, the owners were very friendly and accommodating. The house was clean and tidy and bed was very comfortable. Likes everything.
Lisa (10/5): Perfect place to stay, quiet, beautiful rooms and perfect hosts! - The Guest House was was very Boutique, it was spotless and the rooms very comfortable. Tace and Carl were the perfect hosts, very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was continental only, which suited us as we had to leave early. Lovely fresh fruit and warm croissants and the best coffee! If you want a full English there are plenty of places to eat and in the room there was a list of recommendations for places to eat. Although there is no onsite parking, like most Guest houses, Carl personally showed us where to park for free in the side road only a few hundred yards from the accommodation. There was also two hotels at the end of the road with car parks if you are willing to pay £15 per day. There is also an EV charging station only a few hundred yards from the guest house which was great. There wasn't anything not to like! Perfect place to stay :)

Olga (10/5): Cosy stay - It was an amazing stay on a family trip to Devon this Easter at a Devon Guest House. Host's hospitality, support. Recommendations on attractions nearby and places to eat were super helpful! Devon Guest House is just within 7 mins walk from the historical Steam Train to a Kingswear & Dartmouth! Room at a Victorian house was diligently refurbished keeping the atmosphere of Victorian time and comfortable stay of the modern days - WiFi, TV, en-suite, spacious bed. Rooms are tidy and comfortable - we like we could feel how much love hosts invested into this place! It was just 2 mins walk to the beach and to an amazing playground, which kids loved. In the cold season, it might be good to have a towel dryer, as they do not dry themselves, but it it not much impacting the stay.

Jennifer (10/5): Superb in all regards, highly recommend this gem 💎 - A huge thank you to Carl and Tace for their kindness. It was totally unexpected to be upgraded for me and my twin sisters' birthday getaway weekend break in Paignton 🎂. I have stayed in lots of hotels for work and leisure as a frequent traveller and can easily say this was the best in all regards! The loving decor matching the house period, warm welcome and hot (and speedy service!) breakfast made to order, and incredibly comfy bed (you could tell it was new and high quality!). His beautiful photography of the local area up on display and cards from previous guests up on the notice board with heartfelt kind messages. The comedy venue for a touring comedian we saw was only a few minutes down the road and felt safe even late at night with excellent directions from our host. A huge thank you for a wonderful and memorable stay. We will certainly be back to this lovely seaside stay. A++ I honestly would say this is top notch, you will love it

The owners were super friendly, text in advance to ask our arrival and even let us check out late so we could complete our own Torbay half after it was cancelled. The guest house is well located between the station and the seaside and close to all amenities. Thoroughly recommended. Nothing to mention.

Our room was ready way before check in time allowing us to check in early which was a great advantage. When we arrived Carl welcomed us and carried our bags to our room. Absolutely loved staying here Perfect location as your practically on the sea front and have a lovely little park the other end of the road and all the shops you could need minutes away. Carl and Tace are honestly so lovely and friendly. Make you feel like true friends I will definitely come back to stay here and hope they’re still here.
