- Annet (8/5): - Leuk personeel. Gezellige sfeer.
- Oliver (10/5): -
- Brian (10/5): The Bowes Hotel is doing everything right! - The staff are very welcoming and the rooms very comfortable. We were lucky to be there on a Thai food night which made a welcome change to recent meals in other pubs. And the owner will give you a lift back to the Wall in the morning!
- FRANCISCO JAVIER (10/5): - L,habitació suite gran i preciosa. Tracte amable. Esmorzar fabulós
- Tina (10/5): Super - A delightful place to stay for a holiday in the area, a great location with so many interesting places to explore nearby and a warm welcome and good supper at the pub. Exceptionally nice staff too, thank you for a great break.
- peter (9/5): Highly recommended - Great location especially if you’re coming by train
Amazing friendly team and lovely food
Ian , the owner , provided a very nice transfer service from the wall It could have been a challenge walking from the wall with a pick up and return
Nothing else to add
Ontbijt was fantastisch!
- M (10/5): The stay was great plus the added bonus of a superb pub with three live beers which i tested - The breakfast was one of the best i have had in over 50years of using B&B, great choices, and a great deal of thought has been put into the breakfast. Nothing
- Sally (8/5): We enjoyed the venue and the ambiance, as well as the food. The room was small but comfortable. - location, friendly service, lively but jot noisy- food v good There was a mixup with our reservation. through Booking.com. I originally booked 3 nights but requested a change to 2 nights weeks before, but the change never got made. Bowes said it was up to Booking, Booking said it was up to Bowes, with the result that we paid for 3 nights although we only stayed for 2. Before the 3rd night, Booking requested the Bowes manager to authorize a refund of the 3rd night, but they refused. Bowes was technically within their rights, but they could have chosen otherwise.
- Alison (9/5): - Lovely friendly staff, very clean, good choice of food for breakfast and in the bar. A great base to go off travelling for the day N/A

- Simon (8/5): Comfortable room and great food, we enjoyed staying. - Comfortable room, great food and good value for money. The staff are very helpful and pleasant. The curtains let a bit too much light in and our bedroom window could have a low level curtain otherwise you are clearly visible from the road at the front and need to close the curtains to change or relax on the bed.
- Kevin (9/5): Great stay - Love the staff Mattresses were a bit saggy
- Ingram (9/5): Ideal for Hadrian's Wall short break. - Breakfast was superb, sturdy start for the day's walk. Rooms were warm, clean, fresh, stylish and quiet with comfy beds. Location was ideal for our trip's purpose. Couldn't believe there was a railway station just few steps away! N/A

We had an added bonus in that we were having a day at Northumberland County Show - popped on the train just near the hotel and five stops later popped off again, then a 10 minute walk to the show ground! Lovely visit all round.

On New Year's day you witnessed how big a part of the local community the hotel / bar was and it was great to just sit there and witness it. Room was really well presented and the breakfast was excellent. Really enjoyed our New Year stay.

- STEPHEN (8/5): - Location was ideal for visiting Vindolanda. The staff were very helpful. Thanks to having a Thai chef the Thai food was excellent and very authentic. Breakfast was also spot on. Rooms were cosy and had some nice touches. We would return and ecommend to friends.
- Michael (7/5): Great location for Hadrian's Wall - The location worked well for us to visit Hadrians Wall The pub was a bit noisy and the room was very small
- Sue (9/5): A wonderful village pub conveniently placed for Hexham and Hadrians Wall. - The room was very comfortable and warm. There was a little desk with a chair, which we always like. There was no bath but the bathroom was very good otherwise. It was upstairs but the staff would have carried the bags up if we needed it. It was a gorgeous little pub with heaps of locals but they reserved us a table and the food was great. The breakfast was the best of our whole trip. The made us a packed lunch for a very reasonable price. There was plenty of street parking. The location was very close to all the sights of Hadrians wall that we wanted to see, and also close to Hexham where we went one evening for a concert. There was nothing to dislike.
- Helen (9/5): - Last minute overnight stay, we'll worth the money, lovely rooms, excellent food, can't fault anything

- Cathryn (10/5): -
- martine (10/5): Fantastisch! - De ligging t.o.v. de Hadrian wall.
De rust in het dorpje. De sfeer in de pub. De vriendelijkheid van het personeel. De moderne kamer. Een aanrader!
- Diana (10/5): - Vriendelijk personeel. Schoon en comfortabel. Goed eten.
Nichts.
- David (7/5): A good stop-over for Hadrian's Wall - Our room was very good, spotless and comfy. Although overlooking the road, it was quiet. The bathroom was well designed with room to put our wash bags, tooth brushes etc (something other hotels could learn from). The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast is plentiful and well cooked. The hotel's location makes it a good place to visit the wilder sections of Hadrian's Wall (around ten minutes away by car). For those travelling by train, the station is very close. It is more a pub with rooms rather than a hotel. There is no residents lounge and the main bar (with large 2 TVs showing sport) can get very busy.
- Julia (9/5): - Sehr charmantes Pub mit lecker essen, tolle Lage, sehr freundliches Personal.
- Ben (10/5): -
- Elery (10/5): Would definitely return to enjoy the location and hotel. - Everything was cooked to order …fresh, tasty. The staff were attentive and accommodating and made us welcome. Quiet location, no traffic noise.

- Sarah (9/5): - Welcoming, friendly and attentive
- Graham (10/5): - Brilliant stay, really friendly staff and food is Fantastic.
Very Quiet and and great location.
- Anne (5/5): - The room was facing the road without any privacy whatsoever - gorgeous room & stay otherwise
