Guest Reviews
- Chelsey (4/5): Cheap and cheerful - The property was a great location although no parking. The host was helpful and got us a new room. Not the best but for the price it’s to be expected. I’d of paid more and gone to somewhere with parking personally. No parking had to pay £16 in the car park, we didn’t actually stay in the butterfly hotel but next door as there was work going on, when we entered our room someone was asleep on the bed. The property had a very strange smell like damp and fuster.
- Jon (4/5): -
- Allcock (4/5): - Comfortable Cold and no breakfast
- David (1/5): Poor - Very small room for price Larger room
- Stella (10/5): - Convenient for pretty much everything central
- Philip (4/5): hotel was dated and cold but very good value for money regardless - very cheap price considering cost of hotels in Blackpool. Staff very friendly and nice. Room was absolutely freezing, could hardly sleep it was so cold. Radiators etc in room did not work. Maybe that was because i was on the top floor other rooms could be better, I dont know.
- Jeff (8/5): Cheap basic hotel , good location - Nice but vbsasic , bed was comfy No hoy water on first night , no breakfast
- Marcus lee (10/5): - There had to matters on the bed and found a condom underneath the bed It was not very clean
- Fiona85 (2/5): Dont recommend - N/a N/A
- McCann (5/5): - Rooms very small and bathroom ideal for solo travellers for couples probaly better places about but overall ok but yeah get what you pay for
- Aimee (10/5): Decent hotel in the middle of Blackpool central. - The hotel was very close to a lot of the attractions, it was easy to find coming from Blackpool north train station.
It was our second time staying, we stayed a few days ago with our daughter and we came back for another break away. The hotel owners were lovely and did anything to make our stay very comfortable - they’re easy to contact if any issues and are very quick to answer questions if needed. I’d be happy to stay again in the future! The sink&shower took a while to get hot but other than that the rest of the stay was decent!
- Siobhan (1/5): If I could give less that 1 star I would! - The location, it was not far from Blackpool Tower and bars I booked this based on the name for my friend's birthday, she loves butterflies and the picture looked nice.
There was scaffolding around the building and inside wasn't welcoming, very dated and unkempt.
Bedroom was old, worn, dusty, very musty smell. Could feel every spring on the double mattress. TV didn't work properly, kept buffering, but we didn't plan on sitting in the room as would have to sit on the beds.
Toilet not very clean with seat falling off, mat on floor we were scared to stand on, or was disgusting.!! Had to run water for 10+ minutes to get hot, shower base didn't drain quickly enough so overflowing.
Was definitely not worth the money.
Probably the worst place I've ever stayed in Blackpool and I've stayed in a few that weren't the best.
View from back window like a a scrap yard, broken glass everywhere.
Don't believe the pictures they are 100% not accurate!!!
- J.Brown (5/5): Not welcoming - The location The staff was never there only when checking in and out!
The showers was temperamental was never to the right temperature
There was always a funny smell has soon as you walked in.
The beds was hard and rooms was always cold! Again couldn't tell anyone has was never anyone there.
It felt like we was the only once in the hotel. Not welcoming at all!
- Cartlidge (4/5): -
- Kleisan (3/5): I wouldn’t stay here again - The rooms were clean Firstly, the toilet in our room was leaking also the remote we was provided didn’t work. On top of this we was woken up both nights from loud guests/children. The bar wasn’t open even though it’s advertised on the photos. On top of all this, the first night we was woken up at 1:30am by somebody trying to kick our door down and trying to pick the lock
- Leeann (1/5): Very out dated - Only good thing about this hotel was the Gentleman at the front desk. He was very helpful and nothing was to much trouble for him . The photos on booking.com are very much out of date looks nothing like it now.First room we were in the roof was falling apart and crumbling onto one of the beds. Second room was dirty. Spillages over the drawers and the netted curtains were full of mould. The shower didnt work properly eaither. The room was frozen cold and it was ment to be a family room. My husband had to go down to ask for the heating to be turned on but even then it was very low so didn't make a difference. We paid £210 and it was definitely not worth it. We paid until Monday but we could not stay another night in a frozen room and no staff on site on a Sunday just a number to call.
- Charlotte (9/5): -
- Ian (10/5): Lovely place to stay - Great location, very friendly staff Nothing
- Dale (2/5): - The location was ideal for what we needed The corridor had a constant storng smell of smoke. The room itself was very dirty , damp and cold. The bed was the most uncomfortable bed i've ever stayed in at a hotel / b&b. The bathroom was extremelt dated. I would not stay here again and would not recommend it to anybody either
- Lucas (10/5): -
- Leah (10/5): -
- janine (5/5): It was okay - None available Delay in receiving my deposit back
- Alex (9/5): -
- Rachel (9/5): Very good - Location very good I liked everything
- Mike (7/5): - Great value for money
- Ryan (7/5): Decent little hotel and has potential - Room was reasonably clean comfortable bed and good location Shower took a while to get hot and when it did it was very hot and bedroom it’s self was pretty cold don’t think the heating was on any point during our stay and in December me and my daughter needed it
- Raybould (1/5): - Nothing I didn't stay at butterfly on my arrival I was met by a Asian man from next door .not the name on door of butterfly . In a nutshell it was a shithole. They upgraded me allegedly from a single to a double from a pigeon pen to a carsy what a awful depressing place
- Claire (3/5): Won't not stay again or recommend - On arrival the bathroom was very unclean the toilet was very dirty I used my family's toilet who stayed at this hotel with me the carpet was covered in debris and hairs the bed was clean but 2 mattress on 1 bed that kept sliding apart very uncomfortable would not stay again
- Evelyn (8/5): -
- woodward (1/5): - Nothing came home earlier Disgusting and cold hotel and damp bedding filthy and toilet not cleaned or fastend down no incentive for anyone to stay there waste of money
- Debbie (1/5): Wouldn't stay there again poor facility's shame because location is great - Location was good Tv didn't work shower was cold bedding smelt musty no staff available
- Stephen (2/5): Not worth the money at all. - Greated when we got there very nicely, but no interaction after that. Nothing to like about the butterfly hotel. There was no breakfast the room smelt musky & damp. Wallpaper coming off wall beacuse it was damp issues. Toilet wasn't even screwed to the floor so that was loose. I booked this hotel because it advertised a bar, asked on arrival is it open, nope. Reading reviews on this place looks like past owners where great but I think its been taken over and its going down hill fast.
- Elliot (10/5): - Wonderful
- Peter (10/5): I had a very good experience staying at this hotel. The entire place was incredibly clean — from the lobby to the hallwa - Good experience
- Sarah (5/5): - Was super small in room. No room to move atall. Beds were so uncomfortable. Each single bed had 2 mattresses on each bed. When u walk in the rooms that we had the smell hit you with mold.
- Gillian (1/5): False advertisements, its not owned by the people on website - Nothing
The gentleman who greeted us was nice , everything else dreadful
No working shower for 3nights Dirty room
No working shower for our whole stay

- Pearshouser (10/5): -
- Marie (10/5): -
- Alicia (7/5): - Was warm and comfy
- Beattie (6/5): good value for money - overall good value for money, beds were clean, was quiet for sleeping, walking distance from station. dilapidation to the building and rooms but overall not too bad, a bit cold during the day.
- Chris (4/5): Not the worst but not the best, I visit Blackpool a lot for work, wouldn’t stay again - Location was greta for work Could do with updating through out, room very small and bathroom could do with a deep clean, mattress wasn’t comfortable, offering breakfast would be more appealing too
- Lunt (1/5): - I didn't like the hotel room too small bathroom small and there was house keeping to change my bed in and the towels
- Mrs (9/5): Very friendly host .. went above and beyond to make us welcome - Accommodated us at very short notice due to booking .com not providing us with the hotel we had booked originally Nothing at all
- Christopher (5/5): -
- Stephen (10/5): -
- Marie (8/5): Great value - Great location, comfortable beds Carpets in hallway and on stairs were dirty and smell in reception area.
Shower was cold, not hot water from tap either. Bedding smelt mouldy but was clean, probably from storage.
- Shirley (9/5): -
- John (10/5): -
- Angela (8/5): - Clean and a great shower. Could hear everything and with the rooms that weren't ensuite the doors were always banging when people went toilet.
- Andrew (10/5): Lovely hotel - The staff were incredibly helpful and considerate of changes to my travel plan- cannot thank them enough for their support
- Kayleigh (8/5): - Well good for the value of money wasnt expecting much but was perfect Just couldnt change the tv over and no controls would work either. Only bit that let it down. Needs sorting.
- Kiyanna (8/5): -
- Agnieszka (6/5): -
- Michal Szarka (7/5): -
- Suzanne (8/5): - Location good the man that checked us in was nice& polite very easy & quick Some stupid woman must of lost her keys& was banging& shouting to be let in at about 3am.there was a pram in the hallway so there was obviously a chld on the premises.no consideration for other guests
- Trev (1/5): Very disappointed no shower and when it did work it was too hot or too cold to take a shower - Location Shower wasn’t working no bar as listed
- Gavin (4/5): - Staff were friendly. Using hotel next door's wifi. No decent signal for our phones and couldn't watch the tv because it just kept buffering. I noticed a drip coming from the roof in the corner of the room.one night. It only lasted for a couple of minutes but you could tell by looking at the wall, carpet and roof that it's been doing it for a while. Decor very dated even though they had put new wallpaper on one wall
- Simone (9/5): Amazing definitely stay here again amazing the staff was amazing - Everything Nothing everything was perfect and nice just the beds was a little bit uncomfortable
- KayD (7/5): - Cleanliness Location
- Andrew (6/5): -

- Lynne Mc (9/5): Lovely B&B - Lovely little B&B close to central Blackpool was about a 5 minute walk from there into town centre. Staff were lovely and welcoming at the property. The room we were in was on the 2nd floor, and at the front of the property was small, but it was fine and comfortable for us. The only problem we had was no hot water, but we were only staying for one night in that property so it was fine.
- Logan (9/5): -
- Ian (9/5): -
- Ash Wall (7/5): Pleasent. - Friendly staff and cosy adequate room for a cheap nights stopover. Everything was fine for me. No TV in the room which wasn't an issue for me but maybe other.
