- Ted (5/5): The location, snow and skiing with family was great. Our sleeping quarters, not so much! - Location is excellent The basement room we had is a design disaster! It is a small space (about 15’ x20’) with the toilet right in the middle of that space - a small shower but NO wash sink. Not enough space for the queen bed (against wall on one side). A tiny table with 3 stacking chairs on the other side of tha toilet room. A kitchen counter with a sink and cabinets below covers 2/3 of the other wall. Do you see the picture!? We paid > $400/ night. This is a rip off!

It was a bit pricey for age of the building compared to the other buildings on the hill.

- Astrid (8/5): - Convenient location if using the Fernie Resort. Quiet and has what you need for a place to stay. No amenities or staff, so basically think “staying at my buddy’s place”, and you’ll be happy with what you get. Beds were decent.

- Owen (1/5): Worst room we had in a year. Clean and bed was okay but otherwise bad. - Bed was okay The room was depressing and there is almost nothing up at the hill in the summer. The cost looked low but they added on a $80 cleaning fee. This was only added on at the last minute so very unfair. We could have cleaned the room in 15 minutes. Only stay here if you have no other alternative.

Extension cords everywhere, but cannot use more than one appliance at a time. No sink in bathroom, no plugins in bathroom, crowded space and would never recommend this to anyone.

It is difficult to open the window. 4. Drywall repair is not finished. 5. No space for clothes: no drawers, hangers . 6. I was overcharged: advertised price was lower, and I was forced to pay $70 damage waver that was not advertised. 7. Poor communication about checking in.

I will never stay again

The room was everything we needed for a night's stay with a comfortable bed and access to a hot tub - we have booked to come back. The door lock was a little tricky at times but nothing to complain about, it still worked.

Shower doesn’t have consistent temperature so got scalded a couple times. Pool and hot tub are nice. Staff are friendly but unavailable between 5pm-9am. Location is amazing. Happy to find a decent priced room right on the hill.

We were texted for an early check as the room was cleaned early. The unit was fully stocked. We didn't need anything. They had filters for the coffee maker, every type of utensil and dish. Make your ice on arrival. So easy to come in for a quick lunch. No washer it dryer in the unit but the boot warmer was enough. Extremelu nice to have. Looking forward to go back. Ps the pictures online didn't do it justice. Way nicer in person.

We loved the ski in access to grab a quick beer or bathroom break when needed. The accommodations were better than we expected. The extra big hot tub was also a feature we enjoyed. The kitchen came more stocked than advertised as well. Microwave, toaster, cutlery, dish soap, towels, paper towels - this was nice for breakfast and lunches. I would stay again even if I brought the Mrs and kids. You can’t beat the value and convenience of the Griz! (If you’re looking for the Hilton this isn’t it though). We will be back. Cheers!

- Carole (7/5): Ok for skiing but wouldn’t come back. - Close to ski lift. Clean and well stocked. Entry to building very drab. No working dryer. Terrible eating facilities at base. Dirty spa pool.

- D'Arcy (8/5): - The location couldn’t be better. Right on the hill and easy access to the lifts, bar and restaurant. The building is showing its age and could be updated. The restaurant attached to the building is shut down which was unfortunate. All in all it was great value for what we paid.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Great stay and nice close to the lifts - Nice’n clean but being on a ski resort you would expect extra drying racks for clothing/ helmet… The recliner sofa was super great for nap during lunch break putting the feet up. Parking lot was not cleared from snow.

- Marissa (8/5): Great stay with great hosts - the location and price were amazing. And the host was fantastic with repying immediately. I got in late and needed a question answered and they responded immediately. Communication was awesome. Beds were comfortable and the bedding was fantastic. Very economical. nothing
- Tiffany (8/5): - Nice ski in/out. Place was clean and had enough kitchen amenities to eat in our room. Hot tub was nice after a day of hiking and skiing! Room was dated, but comfortable and clean.

If your not on the top floor you will hear people walking above you. Couple of the lamps were broke. Coffee was provided but no filters which I thought was kind of weird. TV didn’t work. Room for improvement I would say.

- Mary (7/5): Resonable price. Great location. - The location was great for skiers, easy to find, close to good restaurants and the bed was comfortable. Needs an uplift. It should have basics for coffee. There was coffee but no creamer or sugar.
- Bruce (8/5): Great value at a great location. - Great location at the bottom of the hill - ski in and ski out. The host had a full jar or coffee beans and a grinder ready to go. Nice touch. very comfortable bed. The property is a bit tired and showing that it has been well used.

- Courtney (10/5): Exceptional - Check-in and check-out was super easy. Robert was very quick to respond to any questions. Hot tub was super relaxing and massive!! The ski-out couldn't be closer to the lodge, did not end up utilizing it, as I got in very late the night before and went boarding in the morning after check-out, but still a great feature for staying multiple days.🙌🏼😍 Building is definitely a little older, was a little eerie in the basement, and took a minute to figure out the pool. Did not realize until I got down there that I needed a key to get into the pool. Easy fix there, I'm guessing it was explained in the guest access link, but I did not have a moment to review it🤪

- Leigh (7/5): Good - We enjoyed having an apartment. The kitchen was well stocked. Loved the outdoor hot tub. Looking up and seeing the beautiful sky while enjoying a soak was amazing. No one around to answer questions. Needed acouple simple things no one available. So many people using the dumpster right out side our room. Dropping the top constantly.

So there was no staff on site to assist. Called a number and it went off site to what appeared to be a third party. Very confused. Would also prefer at least one queen or better yet a king sized bed in the mix

- Jessica (8/5): Very good - Great spot in the Fernie area. Right at the base of the mountain. We were there in summer and you can catch the chair lift up for mountain biking right outside your door. Comfy bed and full kitchen which is a nice thing to have. Host accommodated our request for an early check in which was nice.

- Lisa van (10/5): - The property was perfect for what we needed. My son had quick and easy access to the bike park and chair lift- which he loved! The view was awesome, the hikes in Fernie were amazing and overall Fernie was a cute little town with a relaxed mountain vibe! All in all a perfect little get away!
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great Space for families - We enjoyed the loft that we booked - lots of space for the kids to have their own space. The staff was great and responsive to our requests. The indoor pool was great for the couple of days we had rain. We look forward to returning in the near future!

- Verified traveler (8/5): - The property was on the ski hill so there was beautiful scenery. BUT nothing is open on the skill. No restaurants, no grocery store etc. Very limited contact with any staff anywhere.
- Nicholas (6/5): Older building with some maintenance issues - Quite a dated property and a few technical glitches while I was there. The bathroom fan was wired to the same switch as the light and made a horrible grinding noise. Maintenance came in the morning and disconnected the fan. Then the smoke detector was beeping randomly, so I disconnected that. Overall, it is very close to the ski/bike hill and the staff was very pleasant, but would not recommend it over more modern and well-maintained buildings.

- Russell (8/5): Business trip in the mountains - Business trip. Two night stay. No front desk staff after 5PM. Check in was easy though, code to get in welcome letter and keys on front desk. Room was nice. Clean, well equipped kitchen. BUT... only coffee supplies for one pot. There is limited room services. We were there for two nights. No house keeping, no coffee stuff replacement. Bathrooms have a quarter sized bar of soap. And a incredibly small container of shampoo. Room rate is high enough that there should be more provisions supplied. Otherwise nice quiet stay.

- Dale W. (10/5): Reliable ski-to-door accomodation - We've stayed at the Griz many times over the last 35 years and enjoyed every stay. Comfortable, well-equipped units and great hot tub. Can't beat proximity to the hill with the Elk Quad a short ski from the door. The attached and busy (during the ski day) Rusty Edge restaurant has great food and a good vibe. The Griz has been well-maintained over the years and we look forward to our next visit.
