- Sherry (10/5): Very lovely overall, we will be back! - Magnificent, rich in history and beautifully restored with all the modern comforts Honestly everything was terrific, our only little negative comment would be the little fridge cycling on and off right beside the bed
- Darrin (10/5): - Well kept historic building and grounds in a nice end of town. Room was spacious and clean and everything functioned well. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
- Mileta (9/5): -
- Elaine (10/5): Excellent relaxing stay - Wonderful quaint hotel .location excellent Manager Michelle was so lovely and very helpful.Would stay again and can’t wait ! No complaints at all

- Dan (7/5): -
- Pamela (6/5): Mediocre - Good location We were not given any information on amenities hours of operation staffing etc
- John (7/5): - Everything was quite good, but we found the bed in 213 to be too soft, sore backs in the morning.
- John (10/5): A hotel with opulence and charm - This accommodation reflected the glory and glamour days of the past century yet the elegance and opulence of the era is retained without pretension. The ambience was warm and inviting even while the utmost attention was given to honouring the privacy of the guest. Dana at the front desk was extremely solicitous and helped us out on a number of occasions. As expected the room was very spacious and the large bathroom had two sinks which was very nice. There were many mirrors in the room. There was plenty of on site parking at the back and the elevator was much appreciated. Nothing.
- J (8/5): - Beautiful property. Good location. Restaurant not open Monday - Wednesday.

- Marie and Tim (8/5): We were comfortable. - Good location, comfortable bed, very clean. A few minor maintenance issues, ie toilet seat very loose, drain in bathtub plugged.
The "garden view" room was somewhat deceiving. Unfortunate that the facility does not offer breakfast in their lovely dining room.

- Ck (10/5): What a superb stay - From the moment we arrived, it was clear this hotel had mastered the art of hospitality. The hotel is clean and well-maintained,. The host Michelle was very friendly and welcoming and loved the welcome pack with the added treats and history of the hotel.
What truly stood out was the attention to detail, everything from the upscale bathroom products to the coffee, tea choices, separate kettle and mugs, Lovely outdoor patio seating and courtyard with beautiful flowers.
As an added bonus is the heritage forest at the back of the hotel with numerous walking trails and so special to see some lovely deer during our stay. We will definitely be back and we highly recommend.
- Marie (8/5): It was perfect for our short stay to Qualicum and we would stay again. - Beautiful grounds and very quiet. Property is well maintained and very clean. There’s lots of history to the building. The small deck off the hotel room wing was nice to sit out and enjoy the view. Our room, though very clean and nicely furnished was dark as it looked out to the rear of the property. Bathroom was huge and had the only window.
- Charles (8/5): - Beautiful heritage property.
Comfortable bed, large and spacious bathroom.
Seating in the room was not accessible if you are also wanting to watch the tv.
Friendly staff.
Very clean.
- Sinha (10/5): Exceptional -
- Yvonne (10/5): Great but staff need some customer service training - Beautiful and outstanding The staff were a bit odd. Asking for a couple of plates or some fresh water seemed like a problem.
- Lesley (10/5): - Was beautifully maintained. Staff very friendly and was very helpful with all of our inquiries.
- Carl (4/5): Disappointing -
- Marie (9/5): Superb -
- Janet (8/5): Nice location. Beautiful rooms. Beautiful view. Bathrooms looked nice but were not functional. - Location. Nice big rooms. No staff. Felt like we were the only ones there

- J5039RSlizzyt (10/5): Wonderful Anniversary Stay - Had a wonderful stay at Crown Mansion to celebrate our Wedding Anniversary. Every single thing was PERFECT! The room was beautiful with an amazing claw foot bathtub overlooking the golf course- who could ask for more?! Every member of staff that we met was really friendly and welcoming. We ate in the Sapphire restaurant and the food was outstanding! What a talented chef!!!! Has to be one of the best meals we have ever had... So much history attached to the hotel too, making this a unique place to stay. We will absolutely be back!!
Thank you to everyone!!
- Gloria (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sally (10/5): Exceptional -
- Thomas (10/5): Exceptional -
- Christopher (8/5): - We loved the historic charm and the history behind the property. Much more charm than a standard hotel where you feel you could be anywhere, they are all the same layout
- Debbie (8/5): Very good - The hotel is beautiful, with a lovely setting and location. Our suite was wonderful, exceptionally clean, with nice amenities. The receptionist was friendly and very helpful. Unfortunately, city water main work was being done, so the restaurant was closed as water service was interrupted..
- Jen (10/5): Amazing property, beautiful gardens and saw more wildlife than I did in 2 weeks in Alaska! - Room was excellent, my partner loved the bed, unfortunately I prefer a firmer bed so woke up exhausted. Amazing claw foot bathtub in the room but don't put anything in it as water seems to have a way of coming up into it, lucky for me it was only washing I put in there.
- Robert (10/5): Exceptional -
- Coastallife (10/5): Would definitely recommend - What a lovely hotel - we stayed in the Rita Hayworth room - beautiful views especially of the sunset ! A spacious well appointed room within easy walking distance of the beach and restaurants. Lots of parking at the back and easy access through a side door - we felt as though we were the only people there!
- Louise (10/5): 2 nights in Qualicum - Amazing place.
Very little detail was/is perfect.
Highly recommend - you won't be disappointed
- Caren (9/5): A gem of a house - Beautiful old house very close to the water next to golf course
- Brenda (10/5): - Loved everything about this hotel. Quaint setting. Loved the access to the terrace for a glass of wine as well as easy access to the beach. Will be back.
- Aturpin (7/5): Beautiful building - Bed was comfy but very high. Quiet. Good bathroom with great hairdryer. Parking. We arrived just after 5pm and no staff on duty. There are only 6 rooms in hotel and we were given room that looked onto parking lot vs beautiful seaview and golf course. There is nothing within short walking distance. No decaf coffee provided.
- Bryan (10/5): - This is a beautiful and elegant property. We were given the John Wayne room. Awesome!
- Janet (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gayle (10/5): - This is a beautiful and unique property. Perfect for any special occasion or a lovely time away. We would happily stay here again.
- Cindyf (10/5): Exceptional -
- Doogie5511 (10/5): Every bit as good as it looks - We made a last minute trip to the Qualicum Beach area in mid-August and were having a predictably tough time finding a decent room at a decent rate. I found this place with a water view room and although it appeared fancier than I was looking for I thought my wife might like it. I suspected it would not be as good as it looked in the photos. I was wrong.
This is such a beautiful property and building. The grounds are immaculately kept and warrant some time just sitting or strolling around. The rooms are beautifully and tastefully appointed. A little sign outside the door explains the history of the room and talks about a famous person (such as John Wayne) who has stayed there.
Be warned this is not a typical hotel with typical services. On the day we were there the front desk closed at 5pm so there was nobody to bring coffee cups that were missing in the room. There is no room service but they provide a basket of misc high quality snacks and goodies at no charge. What a pleasant touch. I was very impressed with the quality and cleanliness of the room at what was a very reasonable high-season rate. I highly recommend this hotel, especially for a low key romantic stay as a couple.
- Wick (8/5): Very good -
- Colin (10/5): - Liked the old charm of the room and building.
- Ciaran (10/5): Exceptional - Omgoodness from the moment I walked in the room...soft music playing and a wonderful clean scent.
I couldn't wait to have a nap...it was a dream That we couldn't eat breakfast on site
- Csd (9/5): Unpleasant stay! - The whole building was very nice, and the room was perfect! They did a lot to make it attractive.
They had fruit and cookies for selfservice. Somebody had put a lot of effort to make it attractive. Checkin was cold. After a long drive of 3 hours we came in and a young girl ask our names and gives us a bag with the key in it, our receipt and a lot of other papers. She didn’t even informed hoe our journey was or offered us a glass of water or any other gesture.
There was no possibility for an cold drink.
There was nobody to help with the luggage.
In the afternoon we couldn’t get the backdoor open and we ring the bell. Someone very unfriendly opened the door and we said that the door was closed. Yes, she said, this is a secured building and ask us what we where doing there and after we showed her the room key, she told us unfriendly to read the instructions. It felt like we were school children and didn’t done our homework. It was the first rude person we met in Canada and I am still wondering if it was because we are colored. It ruined our stay! The seaview was not so nice with a lot of trees and far away. I have seen better!
- 935janise (10/5): What a Wonderful Stay at the Crown Mansion Hotel - This is the second time that my husband and I have stayed at the historic Crown Mansion Boutique Hotel in Qualicum Beach. The staff were very accommodating and friendly. We stayed in the spacious and lovely forest view suite this time. Our peaceful room was beautifully decorated and immaculate. There was even a basket filled with delicious snacks for us to enjoy. Watching some small deer roam on the large, landscaped property with colourful gardens, was a real treat. Having a delicious dinner in the Sapphire Restaurant at the Mansion was a bonus for us. We highly recommend this hotel and restaurant.
- Paul (9/5): Superb -
- Jerry (10/5): - Awesome place. Would go back . Golf course next door is great.
- Mark (9/5): Superb - Great place to stay for a night while travelling up Vancouver island. Nice forest trail accessed via the back garden. Shame there was no available breakfast option
- Stefanie (8/5): Very good - Close to the beach and close to the small city center.
- Sandra (10/5): - This was a lovely place to visit and stay
- Cynthia (10/5): Exceptional - Friendly & helpful staff enhanced our visit. The mansion is beautiful & well maintained. Dinner was amazing. Enjoyed Qualicum Beach & all it has to offer.
- Timothy (8/5): Enjoyable - Beautiful building, great site. Excellent staff.
Excellent restaurant, if on the expensive side.
Overall an enjoyable stay. Room had no window other than in bathroom adjacent, despite advertised as 'garden view'.
Could have been brighter. Door locks were rather frustrating...
Sad & odd that no breakfasts available given room costs etc.
- rtsunset (10/5): Great romantic getaway.... - My wife and I traveled around the island for 10 days (for our anniversary) and stayed here for a couple of nights. A lovely place with all sorts of charm. Each room has its on "history" and the restaurant was incredible! What a wonderful way to spend our anniversary dinner with great service, food and atmosphere. Centrally located to downtown and the beaches. I highly recommend it.
- Oliver (8/5): Very good - Quiet New Modem located above Heat pump was flickering lights all night long. This kept me awake and was quite bright.
- Linda (10/5): Exceptional - Loved the outdoor patio and sitting area
Also, access to the wooden park was fantastic! There were no staff around
- Andrew (9/5): Enjoyed each minute of our overnight stay. - was a very nice character hotel. everything was great
- Robert (10/5): Exceptional -
- Natalie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Catherine (10/5): - What a lovely place to stay in Qualicum! Lots of little attention to details (real cream in the fridge), lotion at the ready, snacks, coffee, etc. Spacious room size and 2 lovely reading chairs and a super comfortable bed!
- Bill (9/5): Superb -
- Jim (9/5): Superb -
- Tom (9/5): Superb -
- alisonsY9222KJ (10/5): Highly recommend - The staff were so friendly and interested in making our stay fun. Relaxing in beautiful surroundings- architectural details were stunning. The dining was over the top. Steve was the best waiter we’ve ever had and Michelle was a terrific chef. Thank you.
- Shireen (10/5): - Very lovely property
- Maureen (7/5): Very pleasant. - Warm welcome. Room, decor etc lovely. One day our bedroom wasn't cleaned - they were short-staffed apparently!
- Jessica (8/5): Very good -
- Kim (10/5): I love staying at the Crown Mansion. - Its beautiful.
- Richard (7/5): A return to a more gentile way of life where the pace is slow, tge surrounds are green and leafy. - A little piece of yesteryear in a lovely green setting with vey comfortable furnishings. Although not the responsibility of the venue there are a limited number of local eateries and many of those close Monday to Wednesday and the hotel does not do breakfast and for us the restaurant was fully booked when we arrived as it was Thanksgiving and then closed it closed the remaining two nights of our stay. This meant that the main entrance and lounge area was also closed to us as they office/reception area is unsecured
- Keith (9/5): Superb - Great facilities with friendly people. We were disappointed that the restaurant was closed, as we have eaten there before and really enjoyed the experience.
- Maher (7/5): Peaceful … like the whole of Qualicum Beach. - The room was peaceful and well presented. The grounds were lovely. The way an envelope kept appearing on the bed asking for a voluntary tip for the house keeper.
- April (8/5): It was very beautiful and cozy and we really loved it. - Beautiful and historic The restaurant was closed both nights that we were there, Monday and Tuesday.
- James (9/5): Relaxing stay in a luxury suite - Great location, luxurious room with lovely added small touches, lots of parking.
- Michael (10/5): It was incredible - It’s strategic location made it ideal for any sortie we needed to execute in a timely manner, close to all amenities. We wanted to have dinner on our balcony looking at the sea but CM doesn’t have room service, perhaps I’ll ask about picking it up ourselves :)
- Shannon (10/5): Exceptional -
- Alex (8/5): Very good - Room with the tub and very comfortable large bed. I would be nice to have a breakfast option
- james (10/5): - The room was a wonderful design and comfortable.
- Linda (10/5): Lovely location and view of the garden. It was nice to have an upper deck to sit at as well as loung -
- Ron (9/5): Superb -
- Richard (10/5): - Excellent. We'll be back.
- Anne (10/5): Gorgeous place. Sorry that we couldn’t stay longer - Beautiful property
Very helpful host
- Cameron (10/5): Exceptional - Everything was great. We went to the restaraunt and they were kind when my partner got sick (not food related). We will return. The only thing we would recommend changing is the little fridges. In the room it was nice to have but it buzzed too loud so we unplugged it. Very mild issue. We would highly recommend, comfy beds and nice bathroom.
- Darren (10/5): Great Place - Great place with great history. Super friendly staff.
- Smith (8/5): Very good - Nice big bed and room had an ocean view came with cookies and coffee. Shower was large with all the soaps and shampoos and conditioner
- Doug (9/5): It was good. Unfortunately we had to leave after one day due to illness. -
- James (10/5): - Elegant but not stuffy.
