De lo pocos alojamientos a los que hemos ido en Japón, donde el personal hablaba inglés, e intentaban por hacer que entendieras lo máximo posible y se esforzaron en resolver nuestras dudas. Nos dejaron unos kimonos para usar dentro del hotel. Pensaba que el baño (onsen) tendría más tamaño, pero fue suficiente para probar la experiencia.

The staff were exceptionally warm and welcoming, making us feel at ease from the moment we arrived. Our room was beautifully presented, and the futons and duvets were incredibly comfortable. Both the multi-course dinner and breakfast were delicious, with stunning presentation that made each meal feel special. We also thoroughly enjoyed the onsen, and it was a lovely touch to have a selection of yukatas available to borrow. We liked everything.

Vom Ryokan ist alles sehr schnell zu erreichen und in der Umgebung gibt es viele kleine und größere Attraktionen. Der Highlight für uns war der Onsen. Das Personal ist ausgesprochen nett und für Regentage gibt es sogar Regenschirme zum ausleihen. -

A més, posen a disposició del client una yukata i sabatilles per fer encara més autèntica l’estada. 100% recomanable si busques un Ryokan estil tradicional a Takayama.

- Dalila (10/5): All'insegna della tradizione e del relax - Struttura bellissima, tipica e ben tenuta. Avevamo una junior suite, più moderna delle altre, suppellettili bellissime, non aveva i tipici letti a terra. Mi sarebbe piaciuto dormire in quelli bassi, ma la comodità è stata comunque soddisfatta. Buonissime e gustose sia la cena che la colazione. la cena è stata aggiunta e pagata a parte, potrebbe essere meno cara. Ho apprezzato molto poter scegliere un kimono estivo ed utilizzarlo per tutto il soggiorno. Ho apprezzato tantissimo anche l'Onsen, i bagni "termali". Pulitissimi, attrezzati, rilassanti. Abbasserei il costo della cena e introdurrei altre attività sfiziose da fare, per esempio la cerimonia del tè (gratuita).

So many lovely touches to create a warm and inviting environment. We chose a Japanese style room and while initially apprehensive, we were so comfortable and slept well. The food was a real highlight. We loved the breakfast experience, a range of food, hot and cold, all beautifully presented and of high quality. We enjoyed wearing our yukata to meals. We absolutely loved our Kaiseki Dinner, the service, food and presentation was wonderful. We wish there was a way to draw a blind to keep the early morning light out of the room, but it was a small thing.

Abbiamo provato anche la cena e la colazione in stile giapponese: diverse da quello a cui siamo abituati, ma molto gradite. Infine, è stato bellissimo poter indossare lo yukata durante il nostro soggiorno, ci ha fatto davvero immergere nell'atmosfera rilassante del ryokan Asunaro. Gentilissimi anche i proprietari. Speriamo di poterci tornare presto!

- Jose Maria (9/5): Vida 100% al estilo Japones - Si queres vivir la experiencia japonesa, el hotel es ideal, nosotros dormimos en tatamis y el departamento de noche se transformaba en una habitacion 100% estilo japonesa. La gente muy amable, como todos los japoneses, la atencion y cordialidad es un clasico en ese pais. Entiendo que no es un pais preparado para mi tamaño (mido 1,90 y varios kilos) con lo cual las pantuflas no me entraban, el kimono tampoco, pero no es culpa del hotel porque me paso en todos lados. Nada!!! Todo fue una gran experiencia.

Beds were very comfortable and everything we could need was there. My husband had large feet and the indoor shoes did not fit him and therefore difficult to walk in. Also he was too big for the bicycles which caused embarrassment. Maybe you could provide a couple of bicycles for larger people.

This is a family run business and they have gone the extra mile to ensure things are perfect. The welcome on arrival is warm. All aspects of the accommodation were great. Muchos amenities que mejoran la experiencia. La habitación tradicional perfecta, los futones cómodos y con todo lo necesario para tener una estancia agradable. Volvería sin pensarlo. El hotel es un hotel tradicional y una excelente opción si quieres probar un ryokan. Todo detalle está muy cuidado, con un gusto increíble y el detalle de poder ir con el kimono no hay que perdérsela. Las habitaciones tradicionales una pasada, y los futones muy cómodos. La ubicación excelente. Lo recomiendo 100%!

Staff were helpful and kind We had to wear their house slippers throughout ryokan and they were not comfortable for our feet as we need support to our soles. The onsen water was noT hot enough and I wasn’t sure if the water had any therapeutic benefits. The Kaiseki was not impressive and the Hida beef offerings were very skimpy

- Phaedra (10/5): An authentic Japanese experience with extremely thoughtful service and attention to detail - This Ryokan felt like a home away from home. The owners have paid attention to every detail to ensure a stay that exceeds expectations, from the slippers and yukata to the complimentary local tea and biscuits, umbrellas and free bike hire, everything was done with love and care. The location was also excellent, just a short walk from the train and bus station and all the main attractions. My only suggestion would be to book a Kaiseki dinner at 6, not 7, so you have time to enjoy and savour every course. We booked for 7 but were not told that they close at 9 and were rushed from 8:30, making it less of an enjoyable experience than it should have been. The meal itself was superb though.
