Masato (6/5): - 飛行機の遅延で到着が遅れたが、フロントの方は気持ち良く対応してくれた。しかし、クレジットカードが使えると書かれていたにもかかわらず、使えないと言われ、現金をかき集めて支払った。朝食は簡単なもので問題ないが、パンが汚れたお盆の上に直接置かれて出されたのは不衛生である。皿の上に置いて欲しかった。空港との送迎を依頼して、問題なく送迎してもらえた。

Nam (10/5): - Isis Hotel 2 is a very good option for those who want a simple but secure and centrally located hotel. All rooms are on the top floors of a high rise building so views are spectacular of the Nile and Cairo. Maybe I got lucky but the view alone was worth the price! The room was old and could use renovation but it was clean and quiet from the inside. I prefer having natural air so I had my window opened which let in a lot of the busy traffic below. The room does have A/C and TV but I didn't use either. The bathroom was big enough and had a small tub/shower. I didn't need hot water so do not know if the hotel has it, or not. The staff was always friendly and a great source for tours and taxi rides. Their prices seemed lower than other places I went to. I definitely suggest getting a taxi from them for airport, they charge significantly less than taxis in the street or other tour agencies. The location was the main reason I chose Isis 2, because you are only 5min walk to Metro and 10min to River Nile. Plenty of shopping and food around the building. Overall, I was very satisfied with Isis 2. The pricing and location are unbeatable in my opinion.

juan (2/5): Sucio - Nos guardaron la maleta durante todo el día sin ningún coste el día de irnos. La habitación estaba muy sucia parecía que no la hubieran limpiado en meses. Además una vez instalados nos dimos cuenta de que no había agua en los grifos y al decírselo a los de recepción ellos ya lo sabían y nos lo habían ocultado en el check in 10 minutos antes. No puedes entrar a un hotel y que no te digan que no hay agua.

TAI (2/5): - The room we got was super dirty: we can wipe the dust from refrigerator, bathtub, sink, table. Blanket, drape, pillow weren't clean at all. On listing through Orbit, we supposed to have free breakfast, however, the hotel didn't offer any breakfast at all to all guests. Check in time listed at 6am, however, the front desk seemed doubt for this information until we show the booking. Maybe for this reason, he gave us the room that wasn't in use for a long time. We have no choice to check out earlier because we short of time and can't speak their language to request for changing or refund. We booked this hotel for the rate of 8.4 on Orbit, but this is the first time ever we experienced the untrue rate.

I didn't contact the reception much, but they were helpful at the check-in. Next time in Cairo - back here for sure. Good triple room with bathroom, hot water working, towels, and soap. The room is equipped with a fridge and TV (one channel). The hotel is located on the 15th floor, and the elevator is working (it is an interesting elevator indeed). No cockroaches or other insects.

Additionally, you have a fridge and air conditioning. The bathroom was reasonable, and the water had good pressure. The internet also works well, and the staff were kind and friendly, especially the receptionist. Overall good experience
Emiel (4/5): - Transportation from airport was supposed to be included, but we were charged 10 usd extra for it. The taxi driver was very nice to us but, everything was very dirty, old toothbrushes in cabinets, brown shower and baths, old stains on the sink. Very unsanitary and not at all maintained. Would not recommend staying here, the bed was okay but everything else was a very bad experience.

Antonella (1/5): You get what you pay for (and it is not cheap) - The location is very good and it is the only good thing of this hostel. My tale starts arriving in Cairo, an anonymous building who had seen better days. My driver struggled to find something similar to a hotel in that street, until he glanced a half torn “isis hotel” sign. The floor number information was gone a long time ago. We entered the building and, reluctantly, my family and I go into the lift. Little Noa presses the button for floor 15. The ancient lift starts moving up and starts playing some message in Arabic… it sounds like praying. In a few moments we’re also praying - hopefully the lift won’t stop before floor 15. But we get there - our room was ready, featuring distinct Cairo downtown vibes style. Filthy shower plate, human hair a few corners, windows that have not cleaned for decades. No luck getting the WiFi to work… We try not to think too much about the state of the pillow cover and blankets and get to sleep. Next morning, we find the reception empty… then someone wakes up and lets us know the breakfast may take some time. 55 minutes later, our toddler has had plenty of time to complain in all imaginable manners. The food finally arrives: one omelette and some supermarket bread. Thanks Isis for a truly authentic experience.
Wenkai (9/5): good - The staff was friendly and contacted me ahead of time to inquire about arrival time. I arrived at 2am and checked in quickly. The hygiene was good, the room was clean and had a view of the Nile in Cairo. Wish there was a hair dryer.
Arnold (10/5): - Room cleaned daily, and the owner was really helpful and gave good information. Really well located, but not noisy. The bed is really comfy and good size.
George (10/5): - The room was neat and clean, and the staff was always pleasant and cheerful. In short, everything was excellent. Keep up the good work. If you ever visit Cairo, I highly recommend staying at this hotel.

Ian (6/5): Basic accommodation in a good location. - The hotel is well located for access to Cairo's downtown. Nice sheets and the bed was comfortable.The manager was helpful and booked a car for the airport. We liked the location and the area is quite safe as was all the areas of Cairo we visited. The room wasn't as described on the Booking web site. Far less than the description. Breakfast was basic and was a half hour wait after arriving in the breakfast area. The pillow slips were a thick furry fabric and not nice to sleep on. No toiletries were supplied and we had to ask for soap. The area is noisy but that is the same everywhere in Cairo.

Arthur (2/5): Very poor - Close to museum. High price for a junk hostel. It's cheaper to stay at Giza with view on the piramids and then go by Uber to the museum.
Alex (9/5): Cheap price for a small clean loft at a fantastic location - The building is run down (like most of Cairo) but the hotel room is very clean and easy to access, nothing too fancy though. The staff is friendly (receptionists all speak English) and the owner Mr Hamaza is just a phone call away if you need anything. They arranged a FREE shuttle to and from the airport. Also, try to get a room facing East! The East-facing view (you can see from the reception in the pictures) overlooks the Nile and is absolutely gorgeous. The owner Mr Hamaza offered to help me book a tour (Pyramids, Alexandria, etc) at a lower price. This turned out really poorly -- the tour guide did a bad job and I had to find someone else midway during the trip. However, in his defense, the owner admitted that it was bad and was honest enough to refund me part of the money. Breakfast also isn't great, but you can get amazing hawawshi just across the street.

Ray (5/5): Isis Hotel ticked all my boxes at the time. - I wanted a low-cost option, extremely conveniently situated, to stretch out and sleep for a couple of hours after 2 long flights and shower before tackling the shuttle service to Sokhna Port for the next leg of my journey. Isis Hotel ticked all these boxes for me! Had I been in Cairo for longer, I would have considered somewhere a bit more up-market. The fact that they are "cash-only; no credit cards"! To try and find a (functional!) ATM at 02:00 to draw forex was a mission! Thank heavens for the driver of their free airport / hotel shuttle service, who went the extra mile to assist us! Lesson learned: Always draw sufficient forex cash at the airport to get up-and-running!
Anonymous (9/5): It's a great stay, great location and good value overall. - The staff is wonderful. They were always ready to help. Check-in and check-out were easy. The blanket of the first night's stay had unpleasant smell.
Sarah (9/5): Lovely, friendly, simple little place that will surely meet your needs. - If you're looking for something super basic for your stay, choose the Isis. I stay here every time I come to Cairo because it is a lovely, friendly little place with excellent staff who go above and beyond every day. They will always help you with absolutely anything you need at any time. Breakfast is excellent and some of the staff speak very good English (though not all, so be prepared for that). The rooms are surprisingly quiet for the location and beds are very comfortable. I stay there alone as a woman and have always felt perfectly safe. You will be very comfortable here as long as you understand that it's a very basic little hostel, nothing fancy. Please note there are no hair dryers so byo.

Enno (7/5): Basics for a good price - Friendly staff. Within 10 min walk of the museum. I liked the Egyptian breakfast they offer. The view from the hotel is nice. Entrance of the hotel looks outdated and when arriving at night for the first time this is not what you expect. The bathroom is functional but really needs renovation.

Jeff (10/5): Great gem in a kind neighborhood. - Amazing location right next to everything. Wonderful neighborhood with the kindest people you could ever possibly meet. The area can look a little rough on the outside but the inside of the building was nice enough. Everything was clean and comfortable and the views from the 15th floor at sunset were Amazing. Check in was super easy. The hotel staff were very nice checking us in, showing us to our room and chatting with us when we were in the lobby.
