First we had a stinky air conditioner that turned the whole room into a fish market when turned on, but we got transferred to another room. There we had a faulty smoke detector that went off in the night, waking us up and nearly gave us a heart attack. Weren't expecting our honeymoon that way...

Felt like the room lacks more cleaning specially the carpets. I keep on sneezing and had to take anti-allergy meds during my stay as my allergy symptoms flare-up. Wish there were free hotel sleepers too in the room.
- Caitlin (5/5): Slightly disappointed with this stay - different to pictures shown on the website - The beds were really comfy and big, and we loved that there was the kitchenette within the room. We booked a “room with a balcony - no housekeeping” for our stay. Upon arrival, there was a notice at reception saying construction work was taking place near the property between 10am and 6pm. We were never informed of this in advance, and had we known, we likely would not have chosen to stay here. When we got to our room, it was very dark, and the balcony looked out onto the back of office buildings, which was disappointing. The noise from the nearby work was also very disruptive. We asked if it was possible to change rooms, and while the receptionist kept insisting that the photos showed what the room and balcony would look like, we found this response patronising, as the specific room we were given was not shown. It felt as though we were receiving an inferior room because we had booked a lower-priced option. To their credit, they did move us to another room, but unfortunately that room also did not have a balcony with a view, had a bad smell, and the tap water tasted unpleasant. The main positive was the location, which was convenient, but overall the stay was disappointing. Please note that this property advertises the views on the website that you will not necessarily get and may get a brick wall instead.

But Perfectly positioned.Across the road from Flagstaff station and tram stop. Walking distance to everything! Toilet seat was loose. The Shower rose loose and leaking. Shower also leaks quiet a lot of water on the tiles around the toilet. One of the power points behind the table not working.

- Mary (6/5): - The location was convenient for us. The staff were great, and the trams were very close. It had a good view of the park, and our room was comfortable enough. Melbourne Central was a 10 minute walk. 3 minutes by tram. It was also right in front of the station. Upon arrival the room smelt a bit. The microwave also barely worked. Every now and then you would get woken up by the door rattling outside, but it was just the other guests getting back into their room. There was construction going on, so when booking uber there was nowhere for them to park. Aside from that, it was all good.

- Stacey (7/5): Almost 5 stars... - Comfiest bed ever- felt like a king. Two full length mirrors, one in the bathroom and a huge one in the room. Room is as big as it looks in the photos, if not bigger than you expect. Full size fridge and amenities if you need a long term stay. No stand to put luggage on. No counter space in the bathroom. A foul eggy smell coming from the shower constantly made the whole thing less than 5 stars. They need to clean their drains or something.

Shower screen leaked at bottom, so water ran onto tiles floor. Had to use towel to contain overflow.
