- Mark (6/5): We won’t be back. - Nice breakfast, although hurried. Plates being taken away mid-meal Room was smaller than the photos would suggest. The most disappointing thing was to be accused of leaving a window open in the room that let rain in - we did not and believe it was the staff who opened it as the day before we returned to the room to find the window wide open. Darren was quite accusatory in front of other guests too, we found this humiliating, unnecessary and rude.
- Helen (10/5): A lovely stay! - My colleague had a wonderful stay at the Guest House and really enjoyed their time in Ilfracombe. Nothing.
- Debbie (10/5): -
- Gary (10/5): A relaxing place to stay with a great breakfast. - A great location, close enough to the town centre and a wonderful view overlooking the harbour. The breakfast is well worth the stay in it's self.
- Annette (9/5): - Very pleased with our 5 night stay. Lovely view of the sea and harbour from our room, comfortable bed and excellent breakfasts. It was great to have hot chocolate sachets, a bottle of water and biscuits in the room every day. We were also impressed with the amount of storage space available.
Sharon and Daryl were the most welcoming hosts, and the location was just right for a walk to the harbour and out for dinner in the evening. The private car park close by was much appreciated. Rather a tight ensuite, but it did the job. Shame about the weather!

- Jane Foster (9/5): Great place to stay - Beautiful Victorian building, Lovely friendly host, great breakfast and lovely view from bedroom window. The only negative was the separate toilet. Although private with our own key, it was inconvenient having to leave the bedroom, especially during the night. I also had a problem locking the door from the inside, couldn't turn the key, although it locks perfectly from outside. Had to get husband to wait outside and guard the door for me.

- Rachel (10/5): - Location was great, close to the beach. Very friendly Hosts and staff. Breakfast was cooked perfect and hot. There wasn't anything that either me or my partner didn't like.
- Philip Simon (9/5): Very enjoyable and nicely placed to get into Ilfracombe. - Nice decor, friendly staff and excellent breakfast. Climb of 54 steps to our room.
- Sarah (10/5): Excellent breakfast, super helpful host - Wonderfully located just near the harbor with plenty of restaurants within walking distance, we got a solid start on the day with the delicious and hearty cooked to order breakfast. It's just steps to the South West Coastal Path for short or long hikes and a nice swimming beach close by. Since Ilfracombe was our first stop on our way south, the host provided an extensive list of places we might want to visit. We were able to find free on-street parking out in front both days we stayed, but the Collingdale's own spots are reasonable and convenient too. My only complaint, and it's minor, is that the ensuite shower is quite small and hot water takes a long time to reach the upper floor. As I said—minor. I'd stay again, recommended!
- Tracy (10/5): Collingdale June - Very friendly and warm guest house. Sharon, Daryl and Sue made us feel most welcome and they were accommodating to dietary needs. Breakfast was excellent with lots of options and plenty to eat. Thank you for a wonderful stay. Collingdale is exquisitely decorated with beautiful art pieces. Fantastic views of the harbour and Verity, st Nicholas’ chapel and sea.
- andrew (10/5): - Very friendly and welcoming hosts and staff, beautifully appointed property with very pleasant communal areas, a very comfortable room. Very convenient for town centre and harbour/theatre. And to finish off a most excellent breakfast in a lovely dining room with coastal views Nothing, it was all brilliant
- Helen (9/5): -
- Kerry (8/5): - Lovely stay, friendly host. Room dated but had everything you need. The bed was so comfortable it was a delight. Only issue was the parking and neighbouring properties are rundown, which is a real shame of such charming buildings from 1800s. Breakfast nice and well organised. Would stay again
- Kevin (10/5): - Had a great mini break. Plenty of on street parking near the accommodation. Room was good size, clean and comfortable. Good choice of breakfast which was freshly cooked. It was all good with no negatives
- Claire (10/5): - Sharon was amazing, very helpful with booking a restaurant for us. The room was spotless and so comfortable. The breakfast was amazing and so much choice. We will definitely be returning.
- Bennetts (9/5): A lovely place to escape from your day to day. - We booked the smaller of the two balcony rooms. It was still spacious and comfortable. The view was amazing and it was just a 10 minute walk from Ilfracombe town. The hosts and all staff where so lovely and kind. Street parking of available and if not only a short walk to a paid parking area. Breakfast was also so delicious and totally customisable. It also felt very safe with cameras monitoring the front door- we took to waving hello and goodbye which caused some big laughs. The décor was slightly outdated but that didn't really bother us.
- martin (10/5): - Lovely guest house. Spotlessly clean and nice and quiet. Great breakfast and a very nice sea view lounge.
- David (10/5): Lovely stay in Ilfracombe - Great location near the harbour, excellent freshly prepared breakfast, friendly and helpful hosts, nice lounge and honesty bar.
- Richard (10/5): - Lovely guesthouse, very welcoming. Fantastic breakfast, excellent sea view from our room.
- Clare (10/5): You won’t be disappointed! - Very welcoming, easy check in. Lovely room with gorgeous view, very clean and all the amenities you need. Delicious breakfast and very friendly hosts.
- Rachel (8/5): - Sharon is the perfect host, very friendly and welcoming. The property is lovely with lots of character. We had a beautiful sea view and our room was immaculate. Great choice of breakfast and very accomadating.
The downside for us was that the evenings were noisy. There is a venue nearby that played loud music that spoilt our peace. There is alot of stairs in this property and we were at the top. Wouldn't be suitable for the unfit! Although definitely worth the climb as this is a very good value, comfortable stay that is on the doorstep of all what beautiful Ilfracombe has to offer.
- Watton (10/5): Very enjoyable visit, a good introduction to Ilfracombe and the North Devon coast. - Welcome very good and friendly. Good public lounge and bar. Larger bedroom booked. On street parking used but private parking facility available at extra cost. Comprehensive breakfast cooked to order and very good. All staff team very hospitable. Nothing failed to meet our expectations.
- Anne (10/5): - An amazing 6 storey victorian property with sea views. Clean, friendly and an amazing breakfast. Fabulous local knowledge. They even provided us with some fizz for our wedding anniversary...so kind.
- David (10/5): Parking outside the door, breakfast was amazing! Couldn’t have been made to feel more welcome. Sharon and Daryl were the - Lovely property with amazing location and views. 2 minute walk to the harbour, and Verity! Nothing - it was all superb!

- Frans (9/5): Geweldig verblijf in fijn Guest house. - Vriendelijkheid en behulpzaam gastvrouw en personeel.
Het voortreffelijk ontbijt.
De hygiëne van het guest house.. Niets
- Wilma (10/5): First time in North Devon - Sharon and Daryl were super hosts great to chat to nothing was a problem. A mention for Sue, super wee lady, served us breakfast every morning. My wife and I enjoyed it very much, great place to chill, Sharon and Daryl were great for advice as to where great places to visit were. If we visit Ilfracombe again, we would definitely be back there. We have nothing negative to say about the Collingdale. Super location and a very comfortable 4 days.
- Ann (9/5): Excellent stay. - Friendly hosts , fantastic breakfast , comfortable rooms. Could hear a lot of noise from plumbing, but didn't really bother us during our stay.
- Andy Haines (10/5): The collingdale - Room with harbour and sea views. Excellent full breakfast. Lovely people daryl, Sharon and sue Absolutely nothing!
- Chandubhai (10/5): Excellent place to stay, in a perfect location, Sharon and Sue were very hospitable. - Room was a suitable size, clean and tidy. Breakfast was included within our price, there was a very good choice, including smoked haddock and kippers (my wife loved this). Nothing bad to say.
