- Mehmet (9/5): - Die Lodge hat Charakter und wurde liebevoll ausgestattet. Personal ist sehr hilfsbereit und freundlich. Lage mit Blick auf das Reservat und im Hintergrund auf die Berge ist aussergewöhnlich. Das Zimmer ist sehr gross und sauber. Die Game Drives sind sehr spannend und die Ranger + Spotter finden fast immer einzelne Vertreter der Big 5 auf einer Fahrt. Wir hätten mehr auf Game Drives gehen müssen um die Chancen auf einen Leoparden und weibliche Löwen zu erhöhen.

From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed by an exceptionally friendly and attentive staff, who truly made us feel at home. A very special thank you to Aggy and the spotter, our driver, who was outstanding—knowledgeable, warm, and always willing to go the extra mile to make every game drive memorable. His passion for the wildlife and the area added so much value to our experience. One of the highlights of our stay was the Tuesday night braai after the safari—a truly special experience with delicious food, a relaxed atmosphere, and the perfect setting to share stories from the day while enjoying the sounds of the bush. The manor itself is beautiful, with a stunning pool overlooking the savanna, where we could relax and enjoy incredible views while watching wildlife pass by. It’s the perfect place to unwind after a day of safari adventures. Everything was well organized, comfortable, and thoughtfully taken care of. Khaya Ndlovu Safari Manor offers the perfect combination of nature, comfort, and heartfelt hospitality. Highly recommended—we would love to return!

- Kim (9/5): The perfect place for some quiet rest and relaxation - One of the best places to experience an African sunset. We always visit Khaya whenever we’re in Hoedspruit. The food is excellent, and the staff are consistently friendly, smiling, and eager to assist, making every stay truly special. Sisy at the spa was amazing - she took her time and ensured my treatment was relaxing. There are plenty of beautiful spaces to unwind in the central area, which is definitely a personal favourite.

- Les (10/5): An incredible experience in a great location. - The whole experience was incredible. Received a warm welcome at check in and a full explanation of all the facilities. The room was spacious and comfortable. Drinks on the deck were served promptly and efficiently and the views were amazing. The braai at the Boma was an added surprise - the layout was exceptional with the firepit in the middle and the food was excellent, well prepared and presented by excellent staff. The breakfast was also well prepared and cooked to order. All in all it was a great experience and all the staff were attentive and helpful.

- shugo (9/5): Really a great vacation with my family - Dining place at the balcony is really nice, good view good music and friendly staffs, nice chilling time in the morning with coffee or in the evening with the cocktails etc. Morning time you can expect to see giraffes and zebras come under the balcony, view with the animals, forests and the mountain are also stunning! Food was OK but could be better… especially dinner time cuisines.

- Shaun (10/5): Breath taking, 5* hospitality and views. Pure perfection - From the moment we arrived at the hotel, we knew we had NOTHING to worry about. Advise greeted us and took care of all our cases and worries. We had a lovely welcome drink on arrival and she personally sat us down and went through our plans and sorted everything out and all our loose ends that we had. She truly went above and beyond to make sure we experienced EVERYTHING that we wanted. She even booked us a private transfer for a tour we booked ourselves that didn’t include a transfer when booking. Everything was truly taken care of and we felt so at ease from the moment we arrived. She noted down our early mornings to ensure we had a lovely breakfast pack prepared when we would be leaving before breakfast. I could not fault the staff at the lodge or Advise even if I tried. I couldn’t possibly write a review and leave out the incredible breathtaking views that the lodge provides. The drakensburg mountains were stunning from the reception area/infinity pool and we saw SO many animals at the watering hole during our time relaxing including Giraffe, Warthogs, Wildebeast, baboons, antelope and more! It was just breath taking and the food was all also delicious. They even provided for my mum who is a vegan and made sure she had plenty even at the Boma when most things were BBQ’d on the fire. There was absolutely nothing to dislike. Everything was perfect from the moment we arrived and we will definitely be back in 2027! We are already planning our trip and will be choosing Khaya Ndlovu again.

I had a few in my lifetime, but our ranger Sammy just went the extra mile. The food was excellent and service even better. Our room was neat and prepared for us for the evening with down lighting. I can recommend this lodge and will definitely visit them again. Nothing not to be liked

- Tony (6/5): Not what we was expecting! - Stayed before and loved the location as very convenient for arrival in to the area before setting off for a safari. There was a big problem regarding the suite we booked as unfortunately it had been given to someone else that meant we had to stay in one of the standard family rooms which was ok but dated and when you were expecting the honeymoon suite (much nicer) since booking (6 plus months earlier) it was a huge disappointment I must say. Annoyingly we were definitely the first people to book this suite so it was more annoying that it was somehow giving to someone else.

Game drive was not quoted and we were under the impression when asked if we would like to join that it was free for guests however it was charged at R1900 for two. This on an over crowded vehicle.

- Denia (10/5): Paradise on Earth! - This is a very special place on Earth. It’s located in Hoedspruit, short distance from the airport. We had the full board and game drives included in our stay and it was a great choice. Right by the pool, you have the views of the water where animals appear. Rooms were spacious and comfortable. A big thank you for our upgrade! They have the Boma evenings on Tuesdays and Fridays, with a Braai. Staff tries in every way to accommodate your requests, they are very kind (Advice, Karabo, Floyd, Jabo, Cici). The game drives were truly incredible! We had Terrance and Vusi as guides and they did everything possible to get us near the Big 5 safely! All their knowledge added a lot to our experience. Plus, you can tell they both care about the animals! Thank you again! My family and I absolutely loved the stay. If I could point something we did not enjoy just as a constructive comment was that the person at the reception table was a bit awkward once we arrived at 3:27 pm for our safari drive (the drive was at 3:30). Delays happen and there’s no point in making a fuss about it, especially when we were not actually late. But this does not change our opinions. I spend the most special birthday there and cannot wait to come back.

It was great to see the Sun going down and all animals just in front of the hotel. The main part of the hotel also has lots of character and the food was great. Not having any signs saying where the hotel is, we got there late and tired and it was the last thing we needed. Very annoying. The bedroom smelt a bit musky, and I think they'll probably do with updating. saying that my dad absolutely loved the place and thought it was one of the best hotels!

Games inside the property reserve with good guides - particularly Terrence and Harry were INCREDIBLE guides, not only tracking and giving info about the big animals, but because they showed and taught us as much as they could about the bush. Food was OK. A suggestion to hotel management is to explore more of the local flavors and dishes - there are so many different flavors that can be explored… but that was the only improvement I would suggest - apart from that, AMAZING hotel.

- Nomvula (6/5): Overall great, but cleaning staff needs to pull up their socks. - The Game Rangers assigned to us were exceptional (Terrance and Harry), they were both professional and friendly. The restaurant staff were also very welcoming. The drainage in our room was terrible, one shower even ended up back washing a disgusting smalling substance. The cleaning staff wasn't on point though - having travelled with a toddler there were clear signs that they were not cleaning properly each day (we would find things like nuts on the floor be the curtains or under the seats that my toddler had left on the floor the previous day). Seems what they would do is open curtains and make the beds (failing to sweep or mop).

Not only is the surrounding landscape breathtaking, the game drives (thanks to Ilse&Renneck/ Terrance&Harry) incredible, and the manor itself beautifully furnished. The staff itself has been so kind, helpful and funny. They were always up for a chat, made me feel very relaxed and being in good hands. When i was the only guest one day, they put my dinner table right at the infinity pool, with the best view of Drakensberg. The chef made the most delicious meals! They made sure to call me, when the rare African wilddogs came to the water hole. Spa was incredible as well! They, also, kindly organized a day trip to close by Kruger Nationalpark for me. I will always cherish these memories. It was a dream come true. Thank you again for this memorable holiday!!

- Prince (9/5): Superb - Game drive Our scheduled time for massage was given for other couples because are coming from overseas and we could not enjoy our drinks at the pool but overseas tourist can do that in the in a different container.

- Shixiao (9/5): A very nice stay and I will recommend to my friends. - The view is gorgeous in the morning with giraffes eating breakfast with you. The staffs are helpful, I don’t find anything to complain. Nothing to complain. The terrace for breakfast is a little too cold in the morning with all dishes become cold instantly.

I can't remember when was the last time I re eived such great service. Each and everyone of the staff there was helpful, what ever we needed they provided, they don't have No or I can't in their vocabulary. Very friendly. Nothing to be honest.

The guides are well-informed, with detailed knowledge ( I am from Namibia, so have good knowledge myself). The lodge is small and personal. The staff are friendly and helpful without exception.

Was near waterhole 👍 Noise from nearby trains and gas geyser needed constant attention from maintenance. Could do with a fridge. Steps to stoep very deep and difficult with painful knee 🥴🥴
- Lori (10/5): Ideal spot and gorgeous welcoming Manor Home - What is there not to love if you are after a perfect African bush experience? Ideal location overlooking an active waterhole from a superb elevated dining and viewing deck. If you are after exquisite sunsets as you sip your sundowners you won’t be disappointed! Nothing that immediately springs to mind.

- Matteo (2/5): A missed opportunity - The resort is beautiful with nice view, the room was clean and equipped with every comfort. the half board is not bad even if there is little choice. Too bad for the customer service, I had to pay for all the extra activities in advance and then in the end an excursion was canceled at the last minute without receiving any refund at check out. the assistance is very confusing and disorganized, after more than a month they no longer responded, telling me that they had problems with the credit card transactions. absolutely embarrassing, a service like this is inconceivable for supposedly luxury resorts, sol avoid recommending it to couples who want to enjoy a nice vacation

- Thivhafuni (10/5): Tranquil, friendly, hospitable,lovely - the location is great, its closer to town and main road and train track but yet still tranquil, the staff was very friendly and always check on you. loved everything, the breakfast options , the boma dinner, the game drive , the massage... every activity was handled professionally. I loved that they always put water by the bedside table just in case you get thirsty in the middle of the night lunch and breakfast menus mostly accomodate people who eat pork, otherwise everything else was lovely

Facilities were just so comfortable and a next level of luxury and enjoyment! We didn’t want to leave the pool area, sitting there with a drink in hand overlooking a busy water hole with the beautiful mountains in the background is just incredible. And all credit to the staff who were just so incredible and so accommodating and friendly, we were treated like friends and made to feel at home than just guests. Just wonderful people to talk to and interact with. Well done everyone! You guys were all amazing! Nothing, 10 out of 10!

- Tebogo (8/5): Beautiful staycation - The place is absolutely stunning. It has the necessary ambience and views. You can spot animals from just chilling on their deck or breakfast. Very attentive employees. Truth, Tinashhe and Terrence provide the best services and made the stay more enjoyable. They literally made Khaya feel like home. I would be doing a disservice if i don't mention the Game drive with Mpho. It was the best game drive ever, very Informative and engaging. Overall stay was beautiful. We enjoyed ourselves My only complaint was the cold showers we were subjected to in our rooms. Water was only warm first few seconds and completely cold thereafter. Reported this and only got warm water 1 day of reporting and thereafter back to cold
