The room was small but manageable ESPECIALLY if you put a rod in the closet and hangers and hooks. I loved the bathroom. The establishment was very clean and felt cozy and safe. just the closet situation, easy for your staff to resolve.

Bed linens were stained when we arrived and were quickly remedied. Coffee in lobby is horrible and you have to fill the Kuerig water in your room. Bathroom was very nice but the idea of a pedestal sink and no other storage is just ridiculous.

Notified the cove via text as there is no reception person, about door lock, no return message. My wife wanted another blanket which we asked for and again no response.

- Ray (8/5): - Trying to get in the lobby after hours for someone with poor vision is near impossible. The tiny numbers on the lock took me at least 15 min to figure out. Room locks are excellent. Upgrades great. Low bed makes it tough on knees getting up but it was very comfortable. After my shower I put a wet foot on toilet seat and found the floors were not clean. I had a question before I got there but chat never responded. No chair or table in the room. Overall still quite pleasant.

The parking was great and really location a few blocks from the beach and Asbury shopping was excellent. In saying that, I was travelling with my mother and she is in her eighties. Our room was on the third floor and the stairs were steep with no elevator. Thisisthe only drawback and if you are travelling with anyone older, this has to be a consideration. We just rent expecting it and it made things difficult on her. If you don't mind the stairs. The place is really good.

It only had a single air conditioner, and the bed was uncomfortable—it was too low. Additionally, the door was not secure, allowing anyone in the hallway to hear our conversations. Overall, it was not a good experience.

- RACHELLE (6/5): - The king bed room and bathrroom was renovated and was clean , however it was very tight and small. there”s no chair to sit , i was in my wet clothes from beach. the bed frame was dangerous , i was injured with those sharp edges sticking out, have to pay attention with the small space. you could hear peoples conversation from the hallway and people inside their rooms. Dont bolther using the washer dryer- it was disgusting, nonemployee went their for weeks. dirty 20 empty big tide bottles all over, showers in the back gross they should remove info at the desk about washer and shower. no option to upload photos as proof, not a hotel more of a bed and breakfast wothout the breakfast
- Mary (7/5): - The location was great, room was clean and comfortable. The air conditioner was quite loud. Our room was on the first floor and windows opened onto the front porch so we needed to keep the shades drawn, little privacy.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Don't waste your money - We reserved a night at the Cove and added trip protection in case we needed to cancel. There was inclement weather and we, unfortunately, needed to cancel. Management refused to refund me my money and offered a pathetic $100 credit for any future reservation.

- Joshua (6/5): - Beware of the rooms you book. Our room was supposed to have 2 queen beds in it. Well it ended up being 1 queen bed and a cheap Amazon gold out futon couch as the other bed. The lady at front checking us in was extremely nice and did a great job getting us another set of towels. Every employee was extremely friendly and helpful minus. He just kept saying you’ll have to contact Expedia. I’m assuming he was the manager for a few of the properties as he had a polo shirt with another hotel on it. Also beware if you are on the 2nd or 3rd floor there is no elevator if you have a lot of luggage. Other than that the place was pretty good.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Very relaxing stay for 2 nights - I enjoyed my visit, the place was clean and the pool was nice. Also, the parking lot was great. The room temperature was comfortable- the in hall air conditioner was very good The stairs were carpeted, this way I was able to drag my suitcase up step by step without damaging it. It was helpful there was a in room refrigerator for water and small microwave. Although not a dealbreaker, it would have been beneficial to have a desk for writing and/or working.
- Jennifer (6/5): - We really liked our room and the bathroom was really clean but there was leftover food left in the fridge from the previous renters and trash under the bed. Also, the lobby door handle was broken and completely pulled out from the door. When we got back to the hotel we were locked out and when we called they said nothing could be done and was told it would be fixed tomorrow. Thank God we could go up the fire escape stairs or we would have been forced to sleep in our car or find somewhere else to sleep.

It had two minimally comfortable beds but no chairs to sit on and no tables or dressers to store items in/on. Time spent in the room was basically spent sitting on a bed with all your belongings packed in suitcases on the floor

No cash air/table to sit at in room, Light from next door hotel shined in around the 3 window shades lighting up the room all night long! Also light under room door from lighted hallway, was block able with a towel at least. No staff for assistance at desk from @8pm til @8-9am. Coffee machine in “lobby area” needed water to refill, no coffee cups first night, no accessible water to access. Nothing to clean area around Keurig. Posted advertising pictures are not clearly reflective of rooms. Outdated furniture, frame around King beds dangerous sharp corners.

The location was good and the hotel was quiet. The hotel didn't offer many amenities. No hairdryer in the room, the window air conditioning units were loud. As I mentioned before, we had a 16 month old child with us and we weren't thrilled that our room was on the third floor.

Great location… close to the boardwalk, beach and downtown restaurants and shops. There was an open soap in the shower and hair in the drain but otherwise, the bathroom and room seemed clean.

- John (10/5): - Hotel was close to walking everywhere, no need to use a car. It was super hot out while we were here, pool was very good. A/c in our room worked perfect. Only thing to keep in mind is there is no elevator, we were on the third floor.

- Beth (10/5): The cove recent stay - Loved the king size bed and the walkin shower, which was huge! Room was definitely recently renovated and a very pleasant stay. Even got to porch sit. Porch furniture was very inviting. Listened to the neighbors enjoying their shuffleboard game. Nice area with great atmosphere.

- Lisa (10/5): - Loved our stay! I would add another trash can to the room, as there was only 1 in the bathroom. More coffee cups would be helpful and we didn't have hand soap in the bathroom. I loved how there was no dirty bedspread or carpets. Putting the blanket in the sheets and then changing that is a great idea and then we felt comfortable being able to sit or lay on top of the bed when we were in the room.
- Mcelrath (6/5): If you don't mind self service and don't want to be bothered by the hotel, this is your place. - The room was clean. The bathroom was a good size and the shower worked well. It seemed like it had been upgraded. We also enjoyed the porch very much and the porch furniture was well maintained. We enjoyed the pool area. The room had a mini fridge and microwave. Both worked well. The room had a pull out couch in addition to 2 queen and 1 king beds. We felt overall we needed to solve our own problems. The front desk staff are minimally helpful, did not greet us or wish us a good stay. There are no directions provided by staff or in the room for how to get help (towels, wifi password). There was no phone in the room or way to contact the desk except in person (or using your cell phone). We never received the code to the room (despite multiple attempts) and were provided 2 keys for 2 locks on the door (keychain fell apart). We had to request a 2nd set of keys for our stay and were only provided 1 key to unlock 1 of the locks (we were told it unlocked both). There were 2 remotes for 3 televisions. One remote interferes with the other TV while using. The charging night stands in one room had no outlet and were not plugged in. The room with 2 queen beds does not have a door (only the king bedroom). Air conditioners are window units. One unit is next to the 2 queen beds. There was 1 small trash can in the bathroom. We did not receive any housekeeping service during our stay and had to seek toilet paper, trash can liners, towels, extra blanket, and coffee cups for the Keurig in the main floor common area (no creamer provided until the last day of our stay). We also provided our own water for the Keurig. The coffee leaked through the cup onto my leg the first day (we noticed sturdier cups were stocked on the last day). There is a chest in the lobby that says 'ice' but it is empty. There are no elevators and we did stay on the 3rd floor. Hallways/stair wells are narrow and dark until a certain time in the AM if you are an early riser. The lobby door is supposed to be locked after a certain time at night (that code was provided) but we found it to be mostly open. There are no safes in the room for valuables. The pool is 5 feet, no lifeguards or towels, gate also not locked. Parking was limited, and I lost my spot after running to Acme for first aid items. I had to wait for a spot to open.

The phone # provided on the booking site (609...) is not a working number, and its alternative (845...) goes to a third-party answering company. If you need handicap accommodation or have a special request, don't expect the message to be read or to get a response. Auto-messages will start a week early demanding your private information ("Digital ID"), which by law cannot be required. Need an extra blanket or have a drain that doesn't work? Forget it. No one will be at the desk.

- Lisa (4/5): - We originally booked the Cove. About 2 hours before we checked in, they texted me to tell me there was a plumbing problem yat the Cove. They gave us one of their sister hotels which was an inferior motel Atlantic Best Western. It was too late to get another hotel. We were with family and we both made reservations to stay in same hotel. They first tried to separate us and put us in two separate hotels. The staff was trying to accommodate us but we paid more than this room was worth. Unhappy with Expedia and the inferior motel.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Basic clean motel - Building seems a little run down and not many amenities. Room was simple but clean and renovated. Bathroom was spacious and also renovated.
- Kelly (6/5): Disappointed with Relocation - Our reservation was for The Cove but they moved us to the Tahiti Inn. While the location was great, the room and facilities were very outdated. We chose The Cove based on the pictures of the room. So needless to say, we were disappointed.

So they gave us a different room without informing us. Room wasnt same setup and in a completely differeny complex a could blocks down the road. When booking for The Cove. You should call and ask becuase i think the cove is closed down

- Caroline (10/5): - The Cove was very clean and had a nice feel to it. The room was simple. Not a lot of dresser space, but we were only there for 3 nights. Didn’t need a lot of space to put stuff. Staff was friendly. Pool was clean and ample chairs. There was a coffee one cup coffee maker there which I used and was happy about. I’d definitely go here again. The place was pretty and just had a nice feel to it.

- Shakima (10/5): - I planned a last minute trip to take a break and The Cove was perfect for my needs. Great location, lovely staff and my room was perfect. Other reviews pointed out how clean the place is and I agree - it was the main deciding factor for me. I love the quiet hours time frame and the overall comfort I was able to experience for a couple days. If I come back to Ocean City, I will be booking a room at The Cove again.

- Thomas (9/5): So fresh and so clean, clean. - The location was good and the rooms were very clean. The run was very bright and the staff was welcoming. Loved the high showerhead. A little extra window treatment would be good in order to allow for sleeping in a little.
- Grace (10/5): - When we arrived, we were given Room 10 on the first floor. It was a big room, nice and clean. Unfortunately, it wasn't good for my daughter and me. We are quiet and like to relax in our room. A porch was outside our windows so we had to keep the blinds closed. People were out talking on the porch, in the lobby, or on the stairs at all hours. It you don't want to walk up stairs or don't care about noise, you will love this room. Things changed the next morning. The staff quickly changed our room to #22, a clean peaceful room. We couldn't be more appreciative of this change!! Overall, we really enjoyed The Cove and we would stay there again. Also, we don't believe we have ever stayed in a cleaner hotel. 10 stars just for that!

- Robin (10/5): - The hotel is clean and bright. Our room was comfortable and quiet and the air-conditioning worked well. The manager Dawn, is wonderful. She is friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome. We stayed the night because of a concert at the Music Pier. The Cove is 2 blocks away from the boardwalk and the Music Pier. Next time we see a show, we'll stay at the Cove.

- Jackie (10/5): - This was a lovely surprise! The renovations inside this old hotel are exquisite. We loved how convenient it was to the beach and how simple but elegant it was. The only negative report is that the rooms did not have hair blow dryers. When I asked at the front desk the response was “they’re all being used by other guests. Please spend the $20 per room and provide them. Otherwise, such a WONDERFUL place and we will definitely be back (and I’ll bring my blow dryer) haha. Highly recommend!!!
