- CHANGHWAN (10/5): - 1군 지역에서는 가성비 대비 깨끗함.
- Cheng Wah (8/5): - 5 min walk to Ben Thanh Market fast check in and check out staffs very friendly and helpful...
- Renato (4/5): Very disappointing stay - location of the hotel is close to almost everything. shopping centers are walking distance from the hotel. Downturn is very bad internet connection. Staff do not speak english extremely difficult to communicate. With my negative experience, am not returning to this hotel.
- Van Quang (10/5): - Excellent
- Thai (8/5): - The location is quite convenient for tourism, however the quality of the air conditioner is very poor and takes a while to start.
- Cheng Wah (6/5): - Construction going on next to hotel, very very noisy every days drilling and hacking you not able to sleep when work start. toilet is having a very bad smell which cannot be solve, please think twice if you want to stay here at this moment..
- Cheng Wah (8/5): - Clean and well maintain property fast check in/out staff very helpful.
- michel (6/5): - Déjeuner froid et mal servi
- Thomas (8/5): Decent hotel in an excellent location. - This hotel grew on me. It was a decent hotel for the price. The shower was a lot better than it looked and the bed was okay. The air conditioning was good. I felt sorry for the lift that took me up to the seventh floor as it always sounded like it was about to give up on life. What made my stay enjoyable were the staff - great fun to talk with (some only in limited English) and very helpful e.g. booking me a taxi to the airport - which went very smoothly. The cleaning lady was nice too, even though I think she misunderstood most of what I was saying every time we encountered each other. The less said about breakfast the the better, but I didn’t starve so I guess it was okay. The location was excellent.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The breakfast was excellent. And staff were very nice.
- reza (8/5): Lexington hotel in Ho Chi Minh city - Convenient location in District 1 very close to the market and shopping.
Overall satisfactory for the value.
- Peter (10/5): - Convenient location to Ben Thanh market & other attractions. Friendly staff service. Breakfast was quite adequate.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - This location is great to visit Sai Gon city. Food are good with in 3-5 min. walking, Ben Thanh Market, Sai gon Square, Shopping Takashimaya Viet Nam, all travel agent near by, too.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - This hotel is convenient location for everything, such as food, booking tour, easy for visitors access every where
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The room is too small and no window like pictures whe
When I book. But, property is clean
- Frederick (10/5): Nice View - Not the first time I have stayed there, very good hotel near the food market area, with bars and shops all within walking distance. The staff are very helpfull and let me checkout a little late. My only concern was breakfast and the cold rubber fried eggs.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Not very expensive. Very friendly. Great location.
- Minh (4/5): Vote for 1* - I booked a superior deluxe room with the city view when I check in I got a small room with a small window.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The receptionist (Miss Wan) was very friendly and helpful. The rest of the staff was just ok.
The list was slow and stopped at every level.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Friendly staff and good breakfast
- Aaron (10/5): - Great and clean, gọt a room bigger, staff was friendly
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The staff were friendly and helpful. Location is good. It was clean. The room on the top floor (8th) was very noisy I think from equipment on the roof vibrating to the top floor. I don’t know if this was a common problem on other floors. Had to wear earplugs to sleep.
- Jason (2/5): - Overcharged and refused to refund, false advertising.. no parking only the sidewalk to which their security guards damaged my Ducati and the manager of the hotel just smiled and said oh well when I confronted him about it
The “the full breakfast” is a joke ... wouldn’t feed it to my dog!
Room was tiny with no windows at all...
I’ve stayed in a lot of hotels and a few cheap ones but this one is the winner for the worst ever
Steer clear!
- Michele (6/5): Convenience. C - Great location but a bit noisy. However, it's good for what i need.
- Bahti (6/5): hotel close to a market - Staff speaks a very little English. Get ready yourself.
- jack (6/5): Ok for the price - Well situated hotel.Room is ok,no more. Need more table for breakfast. No umbrella for customer. They switch us to another hotel and supposed to be upgrade....to white "luxury" hotel...still dont know why they called luxury!
- Raymond (8/5): nice hotel close to everything. - enjoyed our stay very much from the time we checked in to the time we checked out the staff were excellent and always helpfull. Ben Than markets were only a short stroll away, as was an excellent street food market and good bars.
- Cool dude (6/5): Near everything by ben thanh market area - people extremely nice. kitchen staff need training on cooking and customer service
- LEONG (10/5): A Very Nice Hotel - Good location. Near the Behn Thanh market. There are a lot of restaurants and bars nearby. The breakfast served by the hotel is delicious. Will stay in again this hotel next time.
- shaarani (8/5): good and best location - OK....Good....Staff very nice and friendly...Wifi good....Will recommend to friends
- Verified traveler (6/5): Good location, noisy due to construction, doesn't
- Doesn't look like the picture, it is ok, great location near food stall
- Verified traveler (8/5): Great stay - Very good service breckfast could be improved and even although the description says memory foam the beds are just spring a quite lumpy
- Tony (10/5): Staff very accommodating aND helpful. - The hotel is located in a good area of Saigon. Near a markets and street food.
- AK (4/5): - The room was not that clean. No carpet. Air condition not working well. No Iron provided instead we have to pay for ironing service.
- David (4/5): Not great - Good position, pillows and price. But that's about all. Staff, cleanliness, quality and breakfast was not too good.
- Verified traveler (4/5): so many things to improve, please do something ok - the big room with 1 queen bed and i single bed is too small, the 8 floor room had problem with the water pressure and have to fixed it as soon as you can,so dissappointed about the room, totally different with the photo in the internet and the housekepping did not collect the garbage outside the room unti the next day.sorry not recommended
- Sammy the Sizzl (8/5): Great location, but beware the bath! - The place is great, staff are friendly and welcoming and the location is great. One word of caution: we were "upgraded" to the family room... this is not an upgrade!
- James Plowman (6/5): It's disappointing - The room was too small for a family with three aldults. There was no tissues in our room. On Expedia, it is said this is a 3-star-hotel but actually there is no star. If I knew it's a no star hotel, I would never stay. It's the 1st time and the last time our family stays in this hotel.
- Scott (10/5): Excellent value in central location - I highly recommend Hong Hac as a super central place to stay in HCMC / Saigon 2 mins to Ben Thanh Markets.
Great value for a good room, fantastic staff, great breakfast with good variety and very comfortable.
Definitely stay again. Very happy experience. Stayed 4 nights.
- kar yian (2/5): Bad services - Services was very bad and front desk officer very manners.
when the time to check they called us and ask us "get out" from the hotel, very unhappy and dissatisfied.
Their bath tub very dirty and room got smell
- Dino (2/5): ok for backpacker - everything was wrong , no safe as advertised ,they bought a movable safe up after i insisted ,afraid to go out and leave my stuff. Bed was due and should have been replaced 10 years ago .No sheets on be , and bed cover smelt of BO and dirty appeared no to have been changed for a while
WIFI virtually non-existent and when it did work was so slow
tv had poor reception and most channels were in Vietnamese or English dubbed in Vietnamese So Frustrating
room noisy but ear plugs helped
passageways and stairwells filled with cleaners rubbish , hate to think what would happen if there was a fire
On wall opposite toilet there was a sign stating not flush toilet paper down the toilet ", what do you do with it after you have wiped your bum
Seriously I arrived at this hotel hot a sweaty after travelling from Philipines all day ,and after two showers in the hotel I smelt worse due to the smelly bed and bed cover
- Verified traveler (8/5): Good hotel well priced - Was comfortable and staff were very helpful. It was ideal for short stays and the price was extremely good.
- Staci (6/5): - A/C didn't work in the first room, after complaints they changed our room. The wifi didn't work well in the rooms.
- Dave (8/5): Will go to the same hotel if I go HCM again.. - A cheap and nice place to stay. We book 3 rooms. Nice breakfast also :)
- evelyn (6/5): Ben Thanh, Vietnam - The room was so tiny, there were barely enough room to walk around and if you have luggages finding space for them was difficult. The service was good, the people were really nice and friendly. They were able to store my luggage for me while I'm on tour for free so that was awesome.
- KimN (2/5): Horrible experience - We booked this hotel for just 1 night in Saigon. We wanted to stay around the Ben Thanh market so that we can stroll around that area w/out having to use taxi. Upon arrival, the hotel claimed they never recieve any booking info from Expedia, while we had recieved a confirmation from Expedia hours before the check in time. They did not have a room available for us & arranged us to stay at one of their partner properties which was not in the same area, but the Pham Ngu Lao back packing area, which we tried to avoid due to noise level. Our room at partner hotel was extremely small & has terrible odor. We book a double/queen bed room, but was told that they would upgrade our room to a bigger room due to the error on their part, but this budget hotel had 2 single beds that pushed together, to make a larger bed. The air condition did not work properly & completely out of service at night. We understand that there r chances of miscommunication b/t the hotel & Expedia, but the hotel need to arrange something equivalent to the class of hotel that we had booked, not a smaller room in a budget hotel in the back packing areas.
- YS (6/5): Family Room was short-changed - Our family room was short-changed with smaller twin room on the first day when we arrived. We were quite unhappy and the management did not mention about rebate. We requested for it and finally only 100K Vietnam Dong was refunded although the amount is too small. The WIFI and internet connection is terribly slow.
- Loyd (6/5): Good location - The hotel 's strong point is the good location. The weak point is the hotel is old. The bathtub 's curtain has a lot of mew dew & the wall next to the sink has the same condition. If the hotel could fix its weak point, it's the good hotel with the reasonable price.
- TT (4/5): - Our family booked 4 rooms at the hotel but the first group was sent to another hotel nearby when checking in as the hotel was full and had to swap room the next morning. This inconvenienced our plan as we need to wait to ensure the luggage a are transferred properly before heading out. In another room, the shower screen fell out while showering but injury was avoided in time.
Wouldn't recommend staying at the hotel at all.
- Lam (6/5): Reasonable but could be better - We were told on our 1st night arrival that the air cond was broken, so we have to spend one night at another hotel across the street which the room was extremely small, we were also given 2 single beds instead of a double bed. The next day, we had our room back as promised. It was still small, and the picture on the internet was not the same as the one they gave us. So we paid a bit more to upgrade our room, we were given a much bigger room with window, it was much nicer but the toilet was blocked. Toilet paper was not supposed to be disposed in the toilet, which was quite inconvenient. But overall, it was ok, the location of the hotel was excellent, no doubt!
- Leanne (6/5): Close to Everything! Location Location Location - Perfect if you want a hotel close to EVERYTHING! - Ben Than Mkts 2 mins walk. Of course it's a noisy at night time when you sleep so use ear plugs! Beds were a bit hard and room was tiny and dark (window small) but you are paying for location location location! The staff were friendly and breakfast was standard. A fantastic restaurant accross the road and walking distance to everything.
- ivan (4/5): Not as advertised - Room was nowhere as big as advertised and they have a history of overbooking which happened while I was there.
- sydneysiders (6/5): Small room for 2 adults and no window - OK we knew it's a budget hotel but it turned out even tinier than what we had expected. The breakfast hall was cramped with guests and at times children were running around. On two consecutive mornings we felt compelled to finish our brekkie earlier and allow arriving guests to have their seats. Inside our room we had to make ways for each other when we had to use the bathroom or get to the right side of the bed. By the way this double room was advertised as capable of being used by 3,1 adult and 2 children. ..... can't see how it'll fit.
- Johan (8/5): We had a pleasent stay and the staf was super frul - We got to the hotel, and checked in with out any problem, the staf was so helpfull and friendly. The room it self was not so big but very clean and on the backside of the hotel so no noisy trafic outside. Bathroom was very clean and nice, lots of hot water and all comforts we could ask for. The AC was not very cold witch pull down the over all comfort and beds very hard (asien standard) Location was great, everything of interest was close by and with just short walks we could reach most places we liked to se. Breakfast was a normal hotel breakfast buffé and got plenty of choices.
Thanks for a great stay at your hotel...
- Verified traveler (4/5): Less than satisfactory experience - We booked and prepaid this hotel in advance of our trip but upon arrival at the hotel at 12:30am we had an issue with check in and were advised the room we were due to stay in had broken air con. We were shipped to the sister hotel which to be honest was a real disappointment and the least satisfactory hotel of 6 we stayed in during our trip. Reception were friendly but really disappointed we weren't notified of this prior to arrival. We ended up on a party central street with noise, a cockroach in the room and the window left on with air con running so the room was a sauna. I can't fairly rate all aspects of this hotel but want my review to appear.
- Wayland (4/5): Booked a 32 square meter room, got 17 m² - Keep in mind that the room sizes listed on expedia are not accurate. I booked a room that says 32 square meters, but the actual room size measured 16.38 square meters.
One of the few hotels that allow dogs in District 1, but they will charge you additional money for it.
- Wayne (6/5): Nice hotel with friendly receptionists.
No window - Nice hotel with friendly receptionists.
No window in my room which was a turn off.
Location good.
Breakfast was okay.
- Trish (6/5): Convenient location but not very comfortable - The staff of the hotel were very nice and the location is close to the market. However, the air conditioning in our room broke repeatedly as the machine filled with ice and was frequently dripping water. Repairing it required turning it off and carving the ice out and waiting a few hours in which a fan was brought so the room wouldn't be as unbearably hot. This was inconvenient. If the hotel staff wasn't so nice we would have moved to another hotel.
- Nguyen D (6/5): - hotel was pretty good for its price. only wish it was a bit bigger and better hot water system
- Julester (4/5): ok if need a place for the night & good location - ok iv been round the world twice well traverld so i sleeped in some bad places &
very good places really getting what payed for in that room type is whats matters
on this trip was take in my wife for here birthday which was next day and payed for a up grade

- hieu (4/5): - I don't normally like to do this kind of "evaluation!" But this time, I have to say that this hotel is nothing like what it is advertised!!! More can be said...but I'll let you try it...if you don't believe what i said!:)
- MISUN (2/5): very diappointing - As soon as arrived, they said they were overbooked. And they led us to another hotel which is located very very far fron Ben Tanh market. We came back to hong hac to complain, but they asked us to complain to 'Hotels.com' and let us wait from 10am until 4pm at lobby. While we were waiting, we watched them sending many people to another hotel. This hotel is the worst hotel ever!
- MISUN (2/5): Suck - 1.As soon as we arrived, they said this hotel was full booked and asked us to go to another hotel.
2.That another hotel was so far from downtown(Ben thanh market).
3.So we came back to complain. They said "If you wanna stay here, wait until 2pm.(check in time is 12:30)"
4.Came back at 2pm. They still didn't have room for us. They said "Wait until 5pm.". I asked them to get refund, but they said "I can pay you back, but NOT ALL. And if you want to compain to hotels.com, do it! Go ahead!".
5.The worst hotel ever!
- Verified traveler (8/5): Hotel in centre of the city. - Very helpful staff.breakfast and rooms pleasant ideal for shopping at the market for a few bargains.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Mom & daughter, from Canada - Room too small compared to the picture showed (we took the same type of room). Bathroom unacceptable. Little ants every where. Staff were super nice.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Small room for 3 adults - pros: cheap, clean, great free breakfast, good location, friendly staff
Cons: small room, no safe, had to keep asking for toilet paper-they would leave 1.5 rolls and it was really flimsy stuff and there were 3 females!, really low on handsoap, no counter space in bathroom, stayed for two nights then went on a tour for two nights planned on coming back for a night after the tour and even after confirming our room before we left for the tour, they said they overbooked and sent us to another smaller crappier hotel when we tried to recheck in.
- Phuoc (8/5): - Good services, helpful staffs, close to Ben Thanh market and a lot of good restaurants around
- tina (2/5): bad staff - Room is too small. Staff is not nice. Internet is terrible.
- vicky (2/5): Bad stay experience I ever had in my life - I had a bad experience to stay at this hotel...either too hot or too cold water no warm water at all....and the water drifted down from air conditioning...anyway worst experience I ever had
- Shah (8/5): Close to tourist attractions and halal stores. - Hotel is well managed with sufficient staff are professional and service minded, from all the people in and around the reception, to the cleaning staff. Staffs are friendly and able to communicate in English language. Breakfast is reasonable with fresh pho and bread as well as fresh brew coffee. Rooms with window are limited, as I am traveling with children managed to booked 1 room with window and 1 without. Both deluxe rooms are clean and reasonably big and of a high standard, compared to similarly priced hotels we stayed. The location is busy, and central. Many things of interest within walking distance. Highly recommended! Definitely will stay at this hotel if I ever travel back to HCMC! Thanks for the great service and enjoyable stay!
- Munesh (6/5): Mum with Teens - Rooms are clean but very small. Family with Teens can not fit in one room.
- Pearl (8/5): Good - Overall i enjoyed my stay and trip to vietnam
It was a good stay
- Verified traveler (6/5): very close hotel to Ben Thanh Market - Room and its corridor is very stuffy and hot, the lobby is colder than the room
- drnoel (8/5): near ben thant - its near to everything..
less busy...
staff very helpful...
