- Giorgio (6/5): Trip - Location The definition Premium is not deserved. Old facility. One room was so small that we had to put our trolley in front of the door. Cleanliness so so. Pajamas they provided smelled old and dirty. Slippers were not sealed, they were used before. Curtains don't block light, sun enters at 5:30.

While this was the smallest of the hotel rooms I had during my stay in Japan so far, it worked perfectly for me (solo traveller). The location, right next to Dotonburi is fantastic - seeing the area was eye opening. Osaka is an amazing city.

- Ara (8/5): - 1. 도톤보리와 신사이바시 중앙에 위치해있어서 걸어서 이동하기에 편리했습니다. 난카이특급 타고 내리면 캐리어 끌고 가기엔 약간 거리가 있어서 지하철로 1개역 이동했어요. 2. 한국인 직원분이 계셨는데 늘 있는건 아니었어요. 그래도 다들 친절하셔서 좋았습니다. 3. 온천과 무료제공 아이스크림, 우유, 라멘(소바)가 있어요. 4. 1층에 패밀리마트가 있어서 편했는데, 연결통로는 직원만 사용가능해서 아쉬웠어요. 그래도 바로 밑에 있어서 좋았습니다. 1. 방음이 취약해요. 번화가 위치해있다보니 클락션소리, 오토바이 가는 소리, 구급차 소리가 너무 잘 들리고 복도 지나가는 소리, 옆방에서 문열고 닫는 소리, 벽치는 소리가 잘 들렸습니다. 잠귀가 밝다보니 자주 깼어요...ㅠㅠ 2. 전반적으로 깨끗한데 시설이 오래돼서 있지 세면대에 누렇게 변색된 부분들이 있었어요. 예민하신 분이라면 신경쓰일 수도 있겠다 싶었습니다.

The pillows were absolutely awful. Fortunately the staff could lend us a spare one that was a bit softer. Their head pillows for the bed were solid like hay in a pillow case. You could probably just buy a spare one down the street for a few bucks if needed.

- Jasmina (8/5): - The hotel is close to Dotonbori, but the nearest train stations were a little bit of a walk away (only 10-15 minutes, but that feels like a lot when some places are right next to stations). There is a Family Mart connected to the hotel with a door accessed via keycard which was really convenient. The hotel provides free ramen from 9:30-11 and ice cream for after using the onsen. The front desk helped us ship our luggage to our next hotel which we appreciated. Laundry is available and you only need to pay for the dryer. The staff were nice and helpful. Something to note is the onsen info sheet given at check-in said customers with tattoos are not allowed even if they have tattoo covers, but I'm not sure how strict they are about this. This rule wasn't anywhere on the website when we booked, which I found a little bit misleading.

- Christian (5/5): Die Lage ist toll, zum Schlafen reicht es, aber das nächste Mal dann doch ein anderes Hotel - Die Lage war sehr gut. Das Hotel liegt nur wenige Gehminuten von Dotonbori entfernt. Die Aufzüge sind relativ schnell und sind nicht so frequentiert, wie bei anderen Business Hotels. Es gibt einen direkten Zugang zum angrenzenden Family Mart. Relativ eigenes Zimmer Layout im Gegensatz zu den meisten Businness Hotels: Das Bad befindet sich quasi im Vorzimmer. Es gibt keine Badewanne. Das Licht im Vorzimmer wird mit Bewegungssteuerung eingeschalten und geht nach 30 sek wieder aus, was z.B beim Zähneputzen stört. Das Spa ist nur ohne Tattoos zugänglich. Tattoo Abdeckungen sind auch nicht gestattet. Der Fernseher hat nur Vods gegen Bezahlung und ist nicht streaming fähig. Die Steueranlage für die Klimaanlagen hat komische Geräusche gemacht, die beim Schlafen etwas gestört haben

Since there's no daily cleaning included, it's reasonable to expect at least daily towels, coffee or tea, and basic amenities like toothbrushes. However, we had to ask for these items from reception every day, which was inconvenient.

- Justine (9/5): It worth the money. - I was lucky to have a very spacious room for my family of 3. I could easily open my 3 big suitcases which is very important for me to pack after the crazy shopping in Osaka. Onsen was wonderful and the size is way bigger than the one in Dormy Inn Shibuya-Jingumae. Location is ok, a little walk to the key shopping area and the metro stations but overall acceptable. Price is at the high side but overall worth the money :) Room size (maybe I was just lucky). Staffs are polite and supportive. Fantastic Onsens. I enjoyed the free late night ramen and the ice cream and drink after Onsen.

It’s close to Shinsaibashi, Dotonbori, and Kuromon Market, and it’s also easy to take the train anywhere. The bed was very soft, which unfortunately made it quite uncomfortable to sleep on. It didn’t provide enough support, so it was a bit difficult to get a good night’s rest.

I especially loved how they greeted us with a cheerful “good morning” at breakfast. The restaurant food was top tier, and the service was always prompt and pleasant. My friend and I had the buffet breakfast and were blown away by how many options there were. Now that I’m back home, I genuinely miss the food — it was that good. The onsen met all our expectations and helped me relax, especially when I was feeling nervous about the flight home. We were also given free drinks and ice creams after using the onsen, which was such a thoughtful touch. The location was very convenient, with Dotonbori River close by, making it easy for us to get to our river cruise. The train line to Shin‑Osaka (the shinkansen station) is a bit of a walk from Dormy Inn, but the surrounding area is lovely, so we didn’t mind at all. Even though we chose a compact room, it still felt generously spacious compared to our previous hotel in Tokyo. We loved the room — it truly felt like a home away from home. スタッフの皆様が大変親切で、温かく迎えてくださいました。朝食時に丁寧に挨拶していただけたことがとても印象的でした。レストランの料理はどれも質が高く、サービスも迅速で心地よいものでした。友人と朝食ビュッフェを利用しましたが、料理の種類が豊富で大変満足いたしました。帰国後も、こちらの料理が恋しくなるほど美味しかったです。 温泉も期待どおりで、特に帰国前のフライトに不安を感じていた私にとって、心身ともにリラックスできる時間となりました。温泉利用後に無料のドリンクやアイスクリームをいただけたことも、心遣いを感じられて嬉しかったです。 立地も便利で、道頓堀川が近く、リバークルーズへのアクセスも良好でした。新大阪駅方面の電車はやや距離がありますが、周辺の街並みが魅力的で、散策を楽しみながら向かうことができました。 コンパクトルームを選びましたが、東京で宿泊した前のホテルと比べても十分な広さがあり、快適に過ごせました。お部屋はとても居心地が良く、「第二の我が家」のように感じられました。 This is only a minor point, but the air‑conditioning unit in our room had a slightly damp smell. I’m not very familiar with how air‑conditioning systems work, so I don’t believe this was the hotel’s fault — the same thing even happens with my car at home. However, it may be a good idea for the property to have it checked. Overall, we truly enjoyed our stay at Dormy Inn and had no major issues at all. こちらは本当に些細な点ですが、お部屋のエアコンから少し湿ったようなにおいがしました。エアコンの仕組みに詳しくないため、ホテル側の問題ではないと思っております。自宅の車でも同じようなことが起こるためです。ただ、念のためご確認いただけると安心かと思います。 それ以外はとても快適に過ごすことができ、ドーミーインでの滞在を心から楽しませていただきました。
