- sallyjO336YK (8/5): A Nice Motel - Although they advertise themselves as a “boutique hotel,” there’s not much boutique about it. But it’s a great place to stay: very reasonably priced. It is an older motel that has been nicely renovated. The rooms are modern and clean. Ours was quiet. There is a lovely patio area overlooking the Pagosa River; it’s a great place to sit with a drink! The staff was incredibly helpful and kind. They assured us our rooms would be ready for an early check-in, so we could drop off my husband who didn’t want to accompany us to the hot springs! The location is great, just outside of main town, with restaurants in walking distance, along the lovely river trail. We walked up to a brewpub (Riff Raff) and enjoyed some beers and dinner. I would certainly stay here again!

Highly recommend this place! We've stayed on the first and second floors and both are great. The second-floor room had gorgeous view of the mountains, which was a plus for us. Meander Restaurant a 2-minute walk away, and Wild Finch, another great place for dinner, a short drive from the Inn. Kai and Casper, at the check-in desk, extremely helpful and kind.

- Maryhelen (10/5): Location, Price, Cleanliness Plus Walking Distance to Town Make This An Outstanding Value. - The breakfast, a buffet style stroll was mostly cold items, e.g. fruit, cereal, hard boiled eggs, muffins. However, a waffle grill and batter was available. The breakfast area is in a separate dedicated, well-lit room with tables for mostly four guests. Our room was very clean and the shower superb with easily regulated hot water that one could turn on without having to step in to regulate. The front desk staff were very friendly and helped us with directions to local restaurants which were in walking distance. Even though the hotel is located very near a busy highway, a two lane secondary road made reaching it very easy to reach. Ample parking is located right outside the lobby door. The hotel's back door is close to a cement pedestrian walk right along the river. No suggestions.

The inn is fine, but certainly not worth all of the "hype" with high ratings. For what they charge (over $200/night), one would expect something more than your basic inn. - S8052WLsabrinaf (4/5): Don’t expect a restful night of sleep - We stayed here for the location and the fact that a last minute trip did not give us many options. Stayed in a comfort room. I think they probably do the best they can given the fact that it’s an old motel. But the room smelled of a string citrus when we checked in. Opened the windows to air out. We skied all day and came back to a room that smelled moldy so I suspect they use the spray to cover the smell. Wish I had not closed the window! The mattress was comfortable but the bedding is very worn and smelled old. Pillows were equally bad. The heat also kicks on loudly at night and wakes you up. That is if you were asleep to begin with due to the thin walls. Very easy to hear everything going on around you. Lots of slamming doors early in the morning. The bathroom was clean which I appreciated but the rooms are just worn out. There is a free breakfast but it needs a little TLC. Peanut butter left open with a knife in it. Minor but kind of gross. Had intended to stay for two nights but checked out after one.

I prefer that because the key cards don’t always work. The room was clean and it looks like they have done some upgrades. The beds were rather hard. The breakfast was good also. Beds were quite hard for my liking.

Cons: cold-food only breakfast (except for waffles), that was the same every day. Seating was very tight at times during breakfast. Small in-room refrigerator did not have freezer section. TV was streaming only, and was connected via Wifi, causing it to studder often during programming.

- Courtney (10/5): Affordable Pagosa with a great location. - No frills hotel/motel but very well located and friendly service. The owner has made smart choices in updating this hotel. Elevated furnishings, clean and safe. This hotel also offers free breakfast and a hot springs/hot tub area but I did not partake. They are located on the riverwalk and have a lovely covered sitting area near the park/pond. I walked into town and it was an easy and cute stroll to all the restaurants, etc in town.

Close to everything and only option to stay at that end of town. Really clean, AMAZING STAFF - SO NICE. Excellent Continental breakfast. Rooms are spacious and clean. Only drawback is VERY small sink area and location. If you need to use at night, easily wakes others in the room. No closet, but there is a couple of hanging places, a little unconventional. But not a deal breaker. Large hot sauna and Spa available; a nice surprise. So MUCH BETTER than the smelly, super expensive Springs Hotel. Would stay here again for sure.

- Nancy (6/5): - I thought the hotel was rather basic given the cost. The door to the hallway has a gap at the top which is a privacy issue. The vanity is right next to the room door which is just awkward, my biggest concern though was that the heater in the room was excessively noisy and made a loud rattling sound every time the fan came on. I was unable to sleep even though the bed was comfortable enough. I felt like I was sleeping in someone’s basement. It’s by far the worst experience we have had on this cross country trip and the total cost was much higher than other hotels we have visited.

- angela (10/5): - We enjoyed our stay at The Riverwalk Inn. From the moment you walk in the door, you are greated by friendly team members. The rooms are nice and comfortable. We really enjoyed a walk behind the hotel to the river where we encountered a family of snow geese foraging for breakfast. There are plenty of restaurant options and stores around the hotel so would highly recommend this hotel.

- jakedO771TD (10/5): Great Place to stay! - a Very nice hotel in Pagosa Springs. Along with clean and comfortable rooms- there seemed to be plenty of parking and a nice spa and sauna. There are walking trails on the back of the property. The trails and the hotel were very beautiful and had their own pleasant personalities. I enjoyed my stay here very much and I highly recommend! Thank you Riverwalk Inn and staff for a fantastic stay!!

- Carla (6/5): - Online booking states inn was renovated. We found that not to be the case. Carpets were nasty. Bathroom was clean but so tiny you could barely shower or move in shower/toilet area. Sink counter was quite small. Plugs were lacking. TV didn’t always work with Hulu. No elevator. For us, coffee service starting at 7am was too late. Staff were pleasant but only really spoke when spoken to. Beds were comfortable. Overall, Inn was okay but wouldn’t choose to stay here again.
- Navigate17805992403 (10/5): Ryan M was the best host - Accommodations and updated rooms and spa were lovely. It was nice to be able to reserve the spa and sauna to enjoy on our own. Good value for the money. Staff was friendly and helpful especially Ryan M who went above and beyond. Great riverside location.

- Hallsa83 (8/5): We’d stay again - We had a nice stay at RiverWalk Inn. The location was convenient as there were restaurants & stores within walking distance. The staff were pleasant & responsive. The breakfast was pretty good, especially since they had a waffle maker. It was nice to be able to sign up for your own private family time in the hot tub/spa & sauna. The shower water pressure wasn’t that great but I was able to adjust the pressure on the shower head & get my hair washed. The water was nice & hot! The beds were pretty comfortable. There was no gun safe in the room, for those of you this matters to. The coffee pot in the room was not very clean therefore I did not use it. I just drank the coffee in the lobby, provided with breakfast. I left a note in the coffee pot letting them know that the coffee pot needed cleaning & based on the cleanliness of the room & the hotel as a whole, I’m confident that coffee pot was taken care of. Lastly, when all the doors are locked to the hotel (front & back), your hotel key does not get you back in. Thankfully, the morning we were leaving, my husband was packing up the truck and locked himself out. Of course, I was able to let him back in but I think this might be helpful for solo travelers to know. We would definitely stay at RiverWalk Inn again!
