Staff was helpful and courteous. Housekeeping was attentive. Room was spacious. Bathroom had a shower and a bathtub. Would definitely stay here again.

The room was clean, and very spacious with 2 queen beds, and it looked more recently renovated. We had pleasant interactions with the staff. The only thing that was not great during our stay was that the AC in our room was barely working and the temperatures those days were in the 90's, so the room was just too warm. Otherwise it was a lovely stay!

- mmanso28 (6/5): Pros and cons - There are pros and cons to this hotel. I have stayed here many times. Staff is friendly. Good location if you don’t mind being close to the hustle and bustle. Cons- rooms are definitely starting to show wear and tear. Room could have been cleaner. My socks wear dirty after walking in room. Crumbs leftover from previous guests. They only have room service for breakfast, which arrived lukewarm. Next day I went to cafe for breakfast sandwich. They only have premade and egg was rubbery. Ended up pulling it apart and just eating croissant. The rooftop bar was closed for private event every night I was there. Considering they have no other dining/drink space it was frustrating. Overall it was fine, but will probably choose a different hotel next year with more options.

Perfectly situated between Times Square and Bryant Park, the location alone makes it an easy choice. Every staff member we encountered was genuinely warm and welcoming. Valet parking was absolutely worth it, even when 6th Avenue was closed during checkout and they couldn't retrieve our car directly. Without missing a beat, they walked our luggage to the garage and loaded everything for us, all with a smile. Exceptional service start to finish.

One of the best things about it is its location, it's very close to Times Square, which made getting around and exploring the city incredibly convenient. The hotel itself was well-maintained, with clean and comfortable rooms that made it easy to relax after a busy day. The service was also excellent throughout my stay. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help with anything I needed. Overall, I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area, especially if you want a comfortable stay in a prime location.

We chose this hotel for its proximity to the theater we were going to for Every Brilliant Thing. It's a convenient location near Times Square and a big subway station. Easy to walk to 6th and 5th as well. Friendly staff. Lobby area is quite small. We didn't use the convenience store/snack area but it seemed well stocked. Our room was a bit isolated in a corner next to the elevators, so generally very quiet. Had a nice view from the room. Housekeeping staff were friendly and prompt. Room was clean on arrival. Water pressure and temperature could have been better. But overall, a solid room for a reasonable price in the middle of Midtown Manhattan. Would stay here again!

The staff at the Hyatt Centric Times Square New York went above and beyond to make the celebration special. They placed a thoughtful “Happy 10th Birthday” sign in our room, along with balloons I had arranged prior to our arrival. The team was exceptionally kind and accommodating throughout our stay—especially Jonan, who truly made a difference in our experience. We stayed in a suite, which was very spacious by New York City standards, and the hotel’s central location made it easy to enjoy everything the city has to offer. Overall, the combination of outstanding service, excellent facilities, and prime location made this an unforgettable stay. We would highly recommend this hotel.

- donrL5020YB (2/5): Nice hotel Beware of Property Theft - Small but comfortable rooms, comfy beds and small but efficient bathrooms. Breakfast for Globalists/GOH was included and quite good, it is only available via room service or pickup from the shop downstairs. Unfortunately, after checking out we realized we had left a pair of headphones in the room safe. We had unlocked it before leaving, but each of us thought the other had packed them. We contacted the property within an hour of checkout via text and were advised to follow up with housekeeping. Assuming the basic message was passed on to the appropriate department I called the next day and spoke with the housekeeping manager who said she would follow up with the cleaner but I did not receive any follow up. When I called again the following day, I was told the headphones could not be located and that a new guest was already in the room, so they could not check further. At this point, it seems likely that either housekeeping or a subsequent guest took the headphones. What is most disappointing is the lack of thorough follow up on the concern that was brought to the hotel’s attention with more than enough time to locate them and keep them safe. There was no indication that the hotel attempted to contact the next guest or fully investigate. A very frustrating and concerning lapse in customer service and ruined and otherwise good experience and trip.
- K7772SRgeorgek (8/5): Great value for the money in midtown Manhattan - Hyatt Centric is a great location for visiting shows and midtown activities. The room was surprisingly spacious (by NYC standards) with a king size bed, room to move around and a nice bathroom. Easy access to all the subways to get anywhere in the city or the outer boroughs. The only real drawbacks were the price of parking a car ($105/day, no in and out privledges) and the fact that the front of the hotel looks like a construction zone and had a couple of homeless people hanging out there. You are only half a block from the insanity of Times Square, but if you turn towards 6th Ave, when you exit the hotel you can avoid that part of the world as much as possible.
- melpd (10/5): Perfect location - This Hyatt is the perfect location. We could walk to many experiences. Right off Time Square. One minute walk to Lion King and 5 minute walk to SIX. Lots of restaurants near by - Juniors and Ellen’s Stardust Diner. Lots of shopping - FAO Schwartz and American Girl Doll Store - 5 minute walk. The hotel was very clean. Shout out to the housekeeping staff. Every time we came back to our room, it had already been cleaned. Check in staff wasn’t that friendly. I would recommend staying here if you want to do all the touristy NYC activities. It was our first time to NYC so it was perfect.

Room was very nice also, did pay extra for a view but didn’t get much of one but it was ok as we were not in the room much. Got an uber from airport to the hotel was around $100 each way. Check in was absolutely fine it was $100 per day holding deposit and then resort fee was taken out of that and the rest of the monies was returned within a couple of days. Would definitely recommend and return to this hotel.

- ag0pal (6/5): Will not stay at a Hyatt again - I am very thankful that I was able to get early check-in and late check-out as part of Amex Platinum benefits. My review is related to breakfast and destination fees. The breakfast was extremely underwhelming for the cost. I have stayed in NYC in other 4* hotels where the breakfast prices are similar and the Breakfast there is far far superior. For $35 here, I received exactly one slice of avocado toast, with 1 cup of coffee and a fruit (orange that was inedible). Also the destination fee inclusions are really a joke. I didn't use a single one of what was listed. If you take Marriott Marquis, for e.g. the destination fee includes food and beverage credit (in addition to others) which is very useful and helpful. Given the high destination fee and zero value of the same and the quality of food, I do not think I would consider a Hyatt property again.

Hotel was well located right off Times Square but that stretch of 45th St has a perfect combo of amenities (Duane Read, McDonalds, Irish pub, breakfast spot) and quiet. Room was bigger than expected and space very well used. Rollaway bed ready when arrived. Room new clean beds comfortable. Fridge in room. Room very quiet slept great. Downstairs shop was perfect...terrific combo of convenience store items drinks and hot food items. Only disappointment is that when we checked in at 10 am they said they would email when a room was ready. At 330 we went back, a room was ready but they had never contacted us. I am amex Platinum and expected that they would reach out like they said. Other than that all great

Staff at the restaurant was friendly but I do feel I was duped into buying a $195 bottle of champagne. We saw that the glass price was $29 and the 375ml bottle was $65. So we asked for a bottle. The waitress did not ask us what size bottle we wanted and brought a full bottle. My assumption was that I must have misread the size on the menu. When the bill came, we were charged $195 so we asked the waitress and she clarified the sizing. I did not see a full bottle of Tattinger listed on the menu (it is not listed on the online menu either). Then, the waitress said she added on 18% gratuity "because we can". We were a party of two. I feel that she added on mandatory gratuity because she knew she was taking advantage of us on the bottle of champagne. I will never go to that bar again. I feel like the hotel needs to run an audit on that place and ensure that they are treating guests reasonably and with respect.

If I'm being honest, I was a little worried with the location being in Time Square with how busy the area can get. But when we arrived at the hotel in the morning, we were greeted, doors were opened for us and check in was seamless. Our rooms were ready before noon and provided with late check out at 2pm! Not to mention, the hotel provides unlimited complimentary water bottles!! Our room is the most spacious hotel room I've stayed in in NY and located on the higher floors where the noise level of the busy city didn't reach out AND we got a view! What surprised me the most is the PRISTINE AND CLEANLINESS of the hotel OVERALL. The restroom, the room, beds, tables, and the hallways etc. And the Gym was a really spacious and had what we needed. Overall, we'd love to stay here again and recommend our friends to do the same!

The rooms are decently spacious and I love that there is fresh water available at all times (water bottles in room). The bed was definitely hard so if you like beds that are plush, beware. Breakfast options are limited and quite expensive. Recommend just popping into the overwhelming options available in the area for cheaper (get a fresh bagel at Bagel Pub!). I’d stay here again if the price was right at around $250. We paid about $410/night.

The location is unbeatable and incredibly walkable, which made exploring New York so easy. We were able to walk to Broadway shows, Rockefeller Center, great restaurants, and so many iconic spots. We were celebrating my daughter’s 16th birthday on our first trip to NYC, and Mark helped make the experience feel incredibly special. His hospitality and thoughtfulness throughout our stay really stood out and made us feel genuinely welcomed. The stunning city views from the 53rd floor made the experience even more memorable. While we only needed light housekeeping during our stay, the lovely housekeeper on our floor always checked in when she saw us in the hallway to make sure we had everything we needed. I truly appreciated her attentiveness and kindness. The overall experience, the service, and the location made this trip unforgettable. We would absolutely stay here again.

Location is top notch and room was spacious, modern and clean. Literally nothing to report as everything was as you would expect from Hyatt Centric. However there are few cons: There's some nonsense $40 destination fee per night, that offers essentially nothing but some coupons you won't use. These fees F&B prices are extortionate. $35 for a bagel (before service charge, tax & tip!) for breakfast. $25 cocktails upstairs (and bar staff can't even be bothered to clean the bar terrace from the snow).

- P6785WPhectorc (6/5): Unexpected Automatic Gratuities Diminished an Otherwise Good Stay - I recently stayed at Hyatt Centric Times Square New York from February 21–23, 2026, and overall my experience was good, but there were a few disappointing aspects worth mentioning for future guests. I booked this stay through The Hotel Collection as an American Express Platinum Card Member, and the room itself did not disappoint. It was comfortable, clean, and exactly what I expected from a Hyatt property in such a prime location. The hotel’s central location made it easy to explore the city, and I appreciated being able to leave my luggage with the front desk while waiting for my room. That said, my room was not available until the standard 4:00 PM check-in time. While I understand availability can vary, one of the advertised benefits of booking through The Hotel Collection is preferred early check-in when possible. After traveling since early that morning, this was a bit frustrating. My main concern involved the $100 hotel credit included with my booking. During check-in, I was informed that the credit could be used at the rooftop bar/restaurant and the T45 Market; however, I was not told that an automatic 18% gratuity would be added to each transaction charged to the room. I only realized this later when reviewing my remaining credit balance and noticing it was significantly lower than expected. Transparency around fees is important, and gratuity should be clearly disclosed upfront. In addition, several purchases at the T45 Market felt more like self-service experiences, yet gratuity was automatically applied. On multiple occasions, receipts were not provided unless requested, and some interactions with cashiers felt rushed and lacked basic hospitality, including acknowledgment when greeted. I also experienced an incorrect charge that required correction at the register, which seemed to frustrate the employee assisting me. I want to emphasize that my room and overall stay were enjoyable, but clearer communication regarding automatic gratuities and more consistent customer service at the market would significantly improve the guest experience. Gratuity should feel earned through service rather than automatic, especially in self-service settings. I share this feedback constructively because Hyatt properties are typically associated with strong service standards, and I hope this helps improve transparency and guest experience moving forward.

- Sightsee37427518208 (2/5): Shocking colleague experience - I stayed for three complimentary nights as a colleague, and the experience was extremely disappointing. Months in advance, I amended my booking from 21–24 February to 22–25 February due to my birthday, and this was accepted. Yet days before arrival, I received a reminder with the wrong dates. When I contacted reception, Jorge was rude and unhelpful, telling me nothing could be done and that I would need to rebook or pay for an extra night. Shockingly, the reservations office corrected it immediately when I contacted them directly. The inconsistency and attitude were unacceptable. During my stay, reception staff were consistently unprofessional. My birthday was not acknowledged in any way. I was told I had a $25 credit but was not allowed to use it for room service without explanation. On top of that, a 50% staff discount on a $32 breakfast somehow resulted in a $25 charge. Overall, very disappointing treatment of a colleague. I expected far better courtesy, transparency, and professionalism.

Our stay at the Hyatt Centric exceeded our expectations, staying so close to Times Square. Our room was silent at night, no disturbances, and the staff was very attentive, accomodating and kind. Upgraded us to a room with 2 queens at no extra charge. Highly recommend - was able to reserve a room with travel points too. Loved being able to walk easily to everywhere we needed to go all weekend.

Now, this was more a city issue as they were woking on pipes and not the hotel. With that said, I didn't know about not having any hot water until I tried to take a shower. I went to the desk to inquire to be told that there was a notice at the check in desk stating this. I thought I would be able to take one in the morning, but still not hot water. So I wasn't able to shower for the 24 hours that I was there. This was not good or very enjoyable. When I share this as I checked out, the person apologized and said she would credit me some fee. I have yet to see that credit!

- 320emitap (2/5): Extremely Disappointing Experience - Upon arrival, our room was not ready. I was initially told the wait would be about one hour, so we remained in the lobby. After an hour and 15 minutes, I was then informed it would be “a couple of hours” longer because the room had not yet been cleaned. This was extremely frustrating, as we had pre-paid tickets and activities scheduled that day. I was told we were upgraded due to being an Amex cardholder, yet we would still need to wait at least four hours for the upgraded room to be cleaned. I was offered another room for an additional $100 per night. When I declined to pay extra, the staff member responded with a rude and dismissive attitude, stating that we would simply have to wait. As a result, we missed one of our planned activities and lost money. When we finally accessed the room several hours later, the bathroom was not properly cleaned. The shower wall was dirty, the sink did not drain, and the coffee machine was empty. When I contacted guest services for coffee and tea, I was repeatedly told it was already in the room, despite confirming that it was not. Breakfast was also disappointing, the food appeared to be frozen and reheated, and the quality was very poor. At checkout, the experience was again unprofessional. I requested a printed receipt and was told to “just drop the key and go.” I was informed they could not print a receipt and that I would receive it by email. I have never encountered a hotel unwilling to provide a printed invoice upon request. Overall, the service throughout our stay was unacceptable. As an Amex member, I selected this property expecting a higher standard. Instead, the lack of preparedness, poor communication, and dismissive attitudes negatively impacted our trip particularly on the first day, when we missed a paid activity. This experience did not reflect the level of hospitality or professionalism one would expect.

We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it for couples looking for comfort and convenience in the heart of Manhattan.
- 802lenak (10/5): Great Stay at Hyatt Centric Times Square - We recently returned from a wonderful stay at the Hyatt Centric Times Square, and it exceeded our expectations. This was a very special family trip, as it was my parents' very first time visiting New York City. I reached out to the hotel ahead of time, and the team truly went above and beyond for us. Chelsea was incredibly responsive before our arrival and even secured an upgrade to a high-floor room, giving my parents a great city view away from the street noise. The rooms were a surprisingly good size, especially by New York standards. The beds were great, and the overall stay was very comfortable. You simply cannot beat this location if you are a tourist wanting to be in the heart of the action. It serves as the perfect home base for exploring Manhattan. It is also incredibly convenient if you are planning to catch any Broadway shows during your visit. I would absolutely come back and stay here again. Highly recommended for families and first-time visitors!

- 64marlonc (10/5): Great place to stay in NYC! - Great location near a lot of shows, if that's what you're interested in. There are a lot of food options in the area as well, but Bar54 (21+ only) is great for a nice drink and some light food (only after 5pm though). The staff was all very friendly and helpful with whatever you need to make your stay comfortable. The lobby was small, so it can get very crowded at times, but it's NY you kind of get used to the crowds. The market downstairs can get very busy during the mornings, so plan accordingly if you need to rush out the door. You must tap your keycard to access your room floor, but if you go to Bar54, you do not need one. I found this to be a little concerning because anyone could access the building if they wanted to. We were in an elevator with some (suspicious looking) guys who were going to Bar54 and when we got off at our floor, we continued walking down the hall passed our room (which was in view of the elevator) until the elevator doors closed. You never know people's intentions and it's better to be safe than sorry. Overall, it was a great place to stay from a couple's perspective.
- Sanchez (10/5): Friendly atmosphere and very professional - It was centered correctly nice place The breakfast was not spectacular. On the bill the tip was already included and wanted to recharge us again. Don’t know if it was done in purpose or what.
- Yongkang (5/5): - The location/facilities are great. Some of the staff were not very friendly, or arrogant? Our room had not been cleaned when we checked in, and we had to wait until 4 p.m. to get access. When we finally entered, we found bread left in the drawer and snacks in the refrigerator from the previous tenant.

- Sightseer06000908195 (6/5): New York stay - We stayed at this hotel based on our American Express credit card. Not only did the hotel claim to never have any of the American Express perks available, but they used it multiple times to try to upsell us on suites. Our room was ready a bit early which was nice. When we called down to have our sheets changed because there was a shoe print along with other stains on them, The hotel accepted no responsibility and the housekeeper that came to change the sheets was incredibly rude. The rest of the hotel was seemingly clean. Elevators came pretty fast which was appreciated.

Great appointments , rooms spacious , beautiful.. fabulous views.. right next to Times Square.. view was to downtown, Empire State Building Chrysler Building and freedom Tower way downtown ..The staff that works there. They are all wonderful people.. extremely professional.. Eva checked us in and was a pleasure to work with. From the doorman, to the front desk and room service, everyone was so kind, congenial and seemed to be happy to be working get there. The food offered for breakfast was fabulous.. staff friendly and communicative. The appointments of the lobby, and especially the room were much higher than expectations. We booked three rooms, and come to New York often on Business. We plan on staying here again every time we come. Thank you for offering such a great hotel, with great people working there
- fablevision (10/5): Awesome! - The hotel was extremely convenient! Five minutes to our restaurant. Five minutes to the theater to see the Outsiders musical. The staff was very friendly - and the croissant at the T 45 market Café was truly one of the best I’ve ever had – they offered to heat it up with a side jar of jam. Perfection! Room was really nicely decorated – very clean! And housekeeping staff was the friendliest I’ve encountered in a long time. The room rate was also extremely reasonable for the area – I would definitely come back!

Great location on a really cold weekend. Close to theaters, restaurants and other tourist spots like Broadway Museum and RISE New York.

- flyaway15 (10/5): Great stay - Staying here was a wonderful experience. Room was nice - even a great view from the bathroom. The staff throughout were really nice and helpful. Special shoutout to the man who helped me get a cab when traffic was snarled bc of all the snow. Excellent location - especially if you have plans to see a Broadway show.
