- Carlos (1/5): Unacceptable lack of accountability and damage to personal property - Location. I am deeply disappointed with the management of Kyoto Century Hotel. During my stay, I entrusted my luggage to the front desk for their forwarding service. The suitcase was handed over in perfect condition, but it was delivered to its destination completely destroyed. Instead of taking responsibility as the primary service provider, the hotel management—specifically Ms. Kiminami and the Assistant Director, Mr. Uchida—completely washed their hands of the situation. They hid behind internal policies, refused to handle the claim with their own third-party provider (Yamato Transport), and officially stated that they would block further communication regarding this matter. Furthermore, they forced me to deal with a local delivery company that explicitly told me they do not provide international support once a tourist leaves Japan. For a hotel that claims to offer premium hospitality, their customer service is an absolute disgrace. They do not protect their guests' property, and if their providers break your belongings, they will simply ignore you. If you are an international traveler, beware: your luggage and your rights are not safe at this hotel. I will be escalating this formal complaint to the Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO) and Keihan Corporate Headquarters. Absolutely not recommended.

Le wifi ne fonctionnait pas, ce qui est bof pour un hôtel de cette catégorie et très bruyant. On aurait dit qu’il y’avait un mammouth au dessus de notre chambre, ça nous a réveillé plusieurs fois.

Very comfortable bed and fantastic breakfast buffet with good mix of Japanese and Western food. We stayed 7 nights and missed not having clothes drawers. This was true in every other hotel we stayed at in Japan, but not such a factor with shorter stays.

- Tineke (9/5): Geweldige aanrader! Ontzettend vriendelijk personeel en een heerlijk ontbijtbuffet! - Algehele gevoel van rust en luxe Het enige minpuntje was het feit dat de douche en wc in dezelfde ruimte waren en dat de douche ervoor zorgde dat de hele vloer nat werd, dus ook de vloer bij de wc.

- Rutherford (10/5): Top class hotel in perfect location. - Fantastic location near the station and overlooking train tracks, which we love, but it was still very quiet. The buffet breakfast was excellent. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The staff were respectful and helpful. I even had to have some help from home in Australia booking a tour for here and they did it all for me! I’m not keen on a shower over a bath. That’s the only thing I didn’t love.

- Abdulla (10/5): I would recommend for anoyone staying in Kyoto - The staff was very nice. The rooms were clean. The location is amazing it’s very close by to Kyoto Station. The prices were very reasonable even tho I stayed there in March which is considered to be peak season. Would definitely visit again .

- Beatrice (10/5): Perfekte Lage und ausgezeichnetes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis - Aussergewöhnlich gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Perfekte Lage. Zimmer schön und sauber. Alles da, was man braucht. A la carte Restaurant war sehr gut. Freundliches Personal. Blick vom Zimmer auf die Gleise war nicht so schön. Badezimmer war klein und eng, Lavabo ausserhalb des Badezimmers. Mich hat das aber nicht gestört.

Vous pouvez y aller en toute confiance. Coté voies ferrées : légèrement bruyant avec les passages des trains mais vu l’emplacement c’est tout à fait normal. Les hôtels proches de la gare sont les meilleurs

- Des (4/5): Seen better days… - Good location next door to Kyoto station. The place is very dated. From the room decor, to the smell of drainage in the bathroom (which the staff in fairness did try to fix, albeit unsuccessfully) to the terrible WiFi and the noise of the renovations on the floor above, everything spoke of a place desperately needing an overhaul.

- HerrBundesdings (7/5): Busy hotel near Kyoto Station - Friendly staff. The hotel offers a very good massage service for a good value price. Good location near Kyoto Station. Good breakfast selection. Beds were very comfortable. On our first morning the breakfast was overcrowded with big bus groups and you could barely get food. Secound morning was better, but still crowded. The music selection was rather odd at the breakfast (80´s rock is in our subjective opinion not a good choice for a breakfast venue)
