Guest Reviews
- NELCIA (10/5): - The property while small is clean and staff is helpful polite and engaging. Short stay but was treated exceptionally. Dinner a la carte was awesome so was afternoon tea.
- AMANDA (8/5): - There are no elevators at this hotel so be prepared to carry your luggage up to whatever floor your room is on. There is only one restaurant and there is scheduled times for breakfast, lunch and you have to make reservations for dinner. The beach is very small but there are bigger public beaches about a mile down the road. The boardwalk is not lit up at night so I wouldn’t risk trying to walk down it. The staff was very nice. The alcohol is included and the boardwalk sunset is a must on the menu. The buses you have to take to go anywhere drive EXTREMELY fast so make sure you’re holding on to something when you get in. You will hear them blowing the horns at all hours day and night. Their horns do not sound like our horns in the US and at first we thought there were elephants somewhere around. Overall we did have a good time and the hotel was nice as well as the staff. I would have preferred for there to be more than one restaurant tho. The food was good - just limited on times of when you can eat.
- Candice (10/5): - Food and was great
- Pierre Richard (10/5): - Close proximity to Savvy Beach.
- Valtavia (10/5): - The location is right on a beautiful stretch of beach/boardwalk. I loved waking up each morning to the sound of the ocean and stepping out on the balcony with a breathtaking view.
The staff made the experience unforgettable. Everyone from Lila at the front desk to the restaurant team, Clive, Samantha, Angel and Shaquila, was genuinely kind, attentive, and always had a smile. They went out of their way to make me feel welcome and cared for throughout my stay. Trudi in housekeeping was also amazing!
The food was always fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented and the vibe at The Soco is intimate and relaxed, perfect for couples. It never felt crowded or overwhelming, and I loved the peaceful atmosphere.
If you're looking for a boutique hotel in Barbados that delivers comfort, charm, and an unforgettable Caribbean experience, The Soco Hotel is a gem. I can’t wait to return!
- Colin Robert (10/5): - All of the staff were very helpful all was happy
Michell shane and Zack keep the cocktails coming and take care of the tunes
Transportation is right on the doorstep
Unbelievable boardwalk and beach
First class dineing
- Tonya L. (10/5): - The staff were helpful and friendly. The hotel was in a grwat location for pickups, drop offs and sights.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Tech challenge but very nice hotel - Nice quiet boutique hotel. Very clean. Rooms very spacious and staff are lovely. The rooms are electrically challenged with no usb charging points and no plugs at the bed side. Also reading lamps are too bright to turn on and hence I leave off not to disturb my partner who is sleeping while I want to read. Major downfall. Nice pool deck and fantastic sunset views.
- Taurean (2/5): - This was absolutely a terrible trip my first time being out of the country. I thought this would have been fun, exciting and a newfound experience I would enjoy, however not only was a description given by Expedia wrong. I got very sick due to the poor cleaning conditions of the property and also them having animals on the property that was not described. this caused me a huge inconvenience and made me sick as I am allergic to cats. I will go into detail via email to further discuss this issue and how we can reconcile this.
- Bailey (8/5): - Michelle was great! Food excellent
- Jonesa (6/5): - This property is not an all inclusive as far as food. It's more of an allocated you're only able to eat breakfast from 7amto 10 am very limited options. Lunch is from 12 to 2. If you miss lunch, you're not able to get any other food until teatime at two and it's only tuna sandwiches and tea. Dinner time starts from 6 to 10 all food about five options from breakfast, lunch and dinner. Bar closes at 10:30 PM.
- Jonelle (8/5): - Staff is nice. The bed is comfortable. Nice ocean view. Wish the all inclusive had more option and a buffet incase you didn’t make sit down dining for dinner.
- Nancy (10/5): - I recommend that people visit, as they will enjoy their stay.
- Melissa (10/5): - I really Enjoyed everything about this small bouti
- Gilbert (10/5): - This resort was just as it was described , for adults. Very peaceful and no drama , staff are very attentive and friendly. The resort also is close to many things that a person can do and enjoy. The food was very good and the atmosphere is amazing.
Definitely will go back again.
- Sasha (2/5): - Hard to open the room door , limited on towels , described as all inclusive but not really true very limited. Housekeeping never cleaned room and was very rude in the hall way . Roach crawled across our food at dinner . The bartender and the restaurant wait staff /host was the only thing liked about this hotel .
- Robert J (8/5): - They staff and food was amazing! The rooms need some updating but over all it was a great stay
- Christina (8/5): - The cleanings was good, could use some updating.
- Linda (6/5): - A very small hotel just one bar,one restaurant. No amenities.Just a very small pool. Its a beach front but beach is not useable.Big rocks & tons of seaweeds.
The room is nice, clean & beautiful view.Food is really good.Staff are friendly.WiFi is weak,TV not working. If you want to stay in this hotel & want to use the beach be prepared to spend atleast $30-$40 per day extra.
$7 for transportation which you need to figure that out on your own.$20 chair & umbrella rental & plus your lunch.
- Laura (10/5): - The hotel was very quiet and relaxing and the food was always good
- Hannah (8/5): - Our stay was nice, the staff checking us in was very nice and welcoming and happy we were there. The dining staff not so much lol but it seems to be the culture in Barbados that servers are just not very enthusiastic/friendly but the dinners were fantastic!!!
The rooms were nice but the shower pressure was pretty bad and we were woken up by the sounds of traffic unless we kept the bathroom door shut (came from the window over the shower)
The little pool was WONDERFUL as the temp was always perfect and not too cold and never over crowded.
The bartenders were all super friendly and great
Perfect location if you want to try some local restaurants (which we did for all lunches) lots in walking distance.
- Randy (8/5): - Pool temperature was great, view from the room was great
- Stephanie D (6/5): - No elevator. Only steps to get up and down to rooms, etc. Steps to beach are very steep and not safe. Not much of a resort beach area and no umbrellas. Public beach tied in to it.
- GERARD ANTHONY (8/5): - The Staff was very friendly but my whole problem was a Cat around you when you eating not good at all
- Edy Sugehi Sanchez (10/5): - The personnel was wonderful, the view of my room was beautiful, and the service
- Sheela Shaunette (10/5): - My husband and I visited here for a quick 4 day vacation and regretted it! We wished we had booked for more days!!! EVERYTHING about the property was beautiful! The staff was friendly! The onsite pool was great! The hotel sits right on the beach which made our experience even more better!! We will be back for a 7 day vacay here in August! The bartenders on site was super fun! I wish I remembered their names to give a shout out!! The food was tasty!! Barbados is definitely a vibe!!!!
- philip adam (8/5): - Perfect size, amazing staff. Food was delicious. Photo of ocean/beach on website is totally misleading. The picture being used is not in front of the hotel. This is my only complaint.
- Jaipaul (10/5): - The people were kind and amazing
- Michelle (8/5): - We loved thatbit was on the boardwalk.
- CLAUDIA Ofelia (10/5): - The hotel is cute, but if you have mobility issues it is very important to note that there is no elavator, the beach is not swimmable and has seaweed. The staff are amazing and the rooms are spacious and the AC is perfect!
- LYNDELL (10/5): - Intimate and private
- Ciondria (10/5): - The hotel was lovely. The staff were very friendly and personable, making it a point to learn our names.
- Dion (4/5): - Need to upgrade
- Geoff (10/5): - Staff were amazingly friendly. Location is great with easy access to beach, surf shop, restaurants and bars.
Very clean room and grounds. A/C worked perfectly.
Only drawback was a lack of hot water in the shower. Staff tried to repair the water water and it improved slightly. Not a deal breaker:)
- Michelle (6/5): - Overpriced accommodations. Defintely not worth the price tag.
Excellent personnel, but the property's pictures don't match reality (motel reality with hotel prices). Only three TV channels worked, the others didn't work.
Rooms are small, outdated, isn't properly furnished (outlets are weirdly placed, bathroom shower only had space for soap and nothing else) and the water was luke warm - we did the "toilet flush" hack to warm the water up.
I requested body towels after housekeeping closed (around 10PM) and was told by the front desk that they don't have the key to the room even though it's in their welcome letter to reach out to them after hours.
Food offerings are basic and limited, they ran out of items 2 hours into their breakfast and lunch timeframes. They also give you kid sized glasses for drinks. We spent most of our stay eating at outside restaurants.
Best part was the accessibility to the boardwalk and walkability to other restaurants. We would've suffered if it wasn't for that.
- shantal (10/5): - Excellent customer service from the moment you arrive on property. Delicious food included with the stay. 10/10 would stay again.
- Wendy (6/5): - The area where the hotel is in is not upscale, it’s run down. The mattresses and pillows are very old and look very used. The amenities are outdated and cheap. The staff was excellent and friendly. Especially Trudy. Outstanding and super friendly. The food was fine.
- Velmena (8/5): - Check in was quick, and informative, staff very friendly and pleasant,, and concerns were addressed promptly.
- Allen (10/5): - Spectacular place and location.
Food was amazing each and every day and never had a bad meal
The people were amazing ....special note to Shane , Zack, Michelle at the bar who make the experience and the stories and conversation at the bar .
Highly recommend and we will be going back
Thanks to all at the Hotel who went out of their way to welcome us
- Shannara (10/5): - We had a blast! We celebrated ten years of marriage and could not have been happier with the service and staff. We had many options on site and off. The beach behind the hotel was simply amazing :)
- Yvonne (2/5): - We only stayed at this property for one night so perhaps it gets better if you are staying longer and become more familiar to the staff. However that being said, if I stay for one night or 14 I do expect a certain level of, if not friendliness, at least professionalism!
We did arrive early and although we couldn’t book into the room, which was fine, we were allowed to use the pool area. I asked if we could leave our luggage somewhere and had to leave it in the lobby which I didn’t feel was as secure as I would have liked.
We got the welcome email and read that you have to book for the evening meal. Therefore my husband went to the restaurant area to do so. The woman who was there was quite rude and told my husband as he didn’t have a room number he couldn’t book. This was eventually sorted out but only after my husband and the woman went to reception so she could confirm we were checked in.
We eventually waited until 3.30pm to get into our room and could only eat or drink if we paid for it. Which is fair enough.
The room was fine but on opening one of the drawers I found a long black curly hair, definitely not mine!
There are insufficient sunbeds around the pool (all
Of which get taken very early in the morning and on the beach there are a few but you have to drag them along yourself. The beach is not very nice sand stony, small pieces of shell. To enter sea
- Arjola (2/5): - The service and the facility were horrible.
- Enis (2/5): - This property was a complete disaster. The bedrooms smell like mold &
- Shaye (10/5): - Our stay was great! I don’t think you can beat the view from each room! It feels like you are on top of the water. Yes, the beach is small, minimal shade and limited chairs but the shallow water is nice. The food is excellent. The menu changes every two days. They did a great job with my gluten free diet and everything I had was amazing. The resort sits at the end of the boardwalk which is great to walk daily. The location is great and close to everything. You do have some road noise but we didn’t mind. The showers are more like luke warm temperature but pressure was good. The rooms are very clean, bright and spacious. The staff is beyond amazing. Everyone was pleasant and smiling. This resort is a small boutique which we loved. Definitely a great place to stay and great value. We would happily return to Soco!
- William (10/5): - A gem of a hotel, yards from the sea with a small beach next door . Staff were so friendly and the food was great . Lovely location with the boardwalk right outside, for walks along the seafront, taking you past several bars and restaurants and on to Rookley beach. Easy to get anywhere as the ZR bus stops outside, including Bridgetown and the Oistins fish market. Would definitely recommend. Special thanks to Michelle, Zac and Christian at the bar , Truly our housekeeper and the numerous friendly restaurant and reception staff too.
- Michael (8/5): - Expedia advertises beachfront and ocean views from the restaurant. This is not accurate in our view.
Food was very good. Service also very good except some younger servers who were full of attitude. If you don't like your job then quit.
Bartenders did a great job. Hotel should be offering Prosecco as a base drink. And a slightly better wine. The resort is not cheap and these misses are not aligned with your price point.
Stock the rooms with water and soda water. Expedia advertises room service but it's never spoken about. And it seemed like we had to wrestle water away from the bar. Barbados is hot and people need regular water in their rooms.
Rearrange the pool seating to allow more loungers. Maybe consider changing the setup from day to evening if needed.
Kimberly is a lovely manager. Please take this information to help Soco do even better.
We had a lovely time and will be back. Maybe even to Soco
- Carol (6/5): - First time in a smaller hotel. Was good. Pretty noisy being right on main rd. Food was good. Very clean
- Alison (10/5): Great Food & Staff - We've just had a nice 10 night break at the Soco Barbados, and enjoyed our stay - the positives are the 'a al carte dining' as part of the AI package. The staff are very friendly and welcoming too, and I must give extra praise to the chefs for the excellent fayre. A big shout out also to Zac & Chris who keep the rum glasses flowing. And finally, a shout out to Michelle for her legendary fun rum tasting event - I cannot think of a better way to start a Wednesday morning @ 10:30! Overall, a good stay, slightly spoilt by the sargassum (seaweed) which is completely out of the Hotel's control. The Hotel and rooms are kept clean and tidy however, the rooms could do with a slight freshening up.
- Marissa (10/5): - We loved our stay and will be back! The staff was wonderful!
- Kenneth (10/5): - Soco delivered an amazing culinary experience. Excellent menu selection great taste and attentive service. Rum tasting with Michelle was both entertaining and informative. Staff was excellent. Michelle was our go to person and cleaning staff Trudy and Donna always made us smile. Simplevpleasures - early morning walks along the boardwalk and afternoons by the pool & bar.
- Brad (10/5): - The best thing about SoCo is the staff. Everyone was very friendly and accommodating. The meals were exceptional with the menu changing every two days. The drinks were also very good. The boardwalk directly in front of the property was a nice bonus and we walked it every day.
- Celestina (8/5): - Staff was excellent and food … property needs some maintenance updates
- Maria (10/5): - You can’t beat the view! So beautiful! And the staff was super!
- Jose J. Garcia (10/5): - Great location, the food offerings were excelent and the staff is very friendly.
- Sharon M (8/5): - Small quaint lovely place. Not much of a beach but close to one. This is not a true all inclusive, it’s more of a meals included with specific dining times and reservation needed for dinner.
- Kiran (4/5): - We were very disappointed on the hotel pictures in website were totally different there is hardly any place for beach area. Room needs badly remodeling. The only friendly staff was at bar Michelle rest of staff made us feel like we were doing them a favor to come there. The amount we paid for was not worth it. Before anyone books consider all of this.
- Hannah (10/5): - The entire staff is incredibly friendly the food is great. I will definitely go there again.
- Stephanie (10/5): - We spent five wonderful nights at The SoCo. The highlights of our trip were the kind, accommodating, and FUN staff, relaxing often on our private balcony with the most breathtaking view of the ocean, delicious food and drink, and snorkeling along the jetty and breakfront at the beach. Seriously - bring a mask and snorkel. We were close enough to take short cab rides to other destinations or walk along the beautiful boardwalk to other nightlife. We both wish we elected to stay longer. As others mentioned, the car horns are loud, but you don’t hear them when you are at the beach, restaurant, or pool. Horn culture is just different than in the States. Also, I love a hot shower, but that’s was not to be had, which was ok as the weather was beautifully warm. The property could use some maintenance, but our room was clean, cool (air conditioning worked super well), and comfortable. The outside areas facing the ocean are beautiful as is the restaurant area. The food was great. The portions were perfect for me and while my partner has a larger appetite, they were always willing to accommodate. Also, I’m a vegetarian and only one meal they didn’t have an option for me, but allowed me to build a meal of anything I wanted from the menu or had in the kitchen. Again, we wish we had the ability to stay longer! Michelle, Darren, Zack, Shereen, and Tobey were just some of the wonderful employees we met there. I will miss waking up to the beautiful view!
- Brandon John (10/5): - Great location to amazing beaches. The staff was amazing and very polite. Food was top notch
- Ronald (10/5): - Definitely a laid back contained environment. Doesn’t feel crowded. I would appreciate more outdoor seating at dinner service but, controlled with reserving time for seating. Staff is PHENOMENAL!!!! They are friendly and engaging.
- Jennifer (6/5): - Make sure you do your research. Beautiful island but this hotel is not a resort. No activities at night you must go out in town to find activities to do.
- Regina (10/5): - I was worried being a single female alone but the place was amazing, the room was gorgeous with beautiful view to wake up to every morning.
The staff was lovely and made me feel safe.
I cannot recommend this place enough.
- Andrew (10/5): - Soco Hotel has a magic that comes down to it's staff. At fear of leaving anybody out I am not using names but safe to say we made many meaningful connections. Initially I was a little nervous at what I saw as a very set menu at meal times. However everything was cooked beautifully and it was an opportunity to eat more variety.
Set on a wonderful beach with shallow lagoons to enter the sea, it's location at the start of the boardwalk opens up a lot of choice for spending your day.
Front desk, restaurant and bar staff were all excellent and felt really welcome and whilst always professional appreciated the fun and interaction we had.
Without doubt, we will come back and already looking forward to meeting new friends.
- Cristian (10/5): - If I could give 6 stars I would. The staff was amazing, the food was incredible, and you can’t beat the views. Highly recommended!
- Lorraine (8/5): - Our room was decently appointed and housekeeping and restaurant staff were impeccable. We were disappointed that we didn't have a beach area to enjoy. Overall we had a very positive experience.
- Amanda (8/5): - I loved the staff and the food was excellent!! I didn't like that there was only set eating times and no room service of any kind. The rooms are not top of the line but we spent most of our time at the pool and beach. All rooms are oceanside.
- Idella (6/5): - The property itself appeared in poor condition. On the 4th floor, large crack in the building near stairwell; while leaning against railing outside of the room, paint came off onto my hand; off-white upholstery had several marks and appeared tired; dated tv controls; room safe missing a tile and malfunctioned once required maintenance assistance. No light on room balcony, drain cover in the sink was coming apart. This said, the view from the room was beautiful. A full ocean view. The staff are friendly, nice and well trained. The meals are served in 3 courses, prepared well and delicious. The GM was engaging and attentive to our requests.
- sarah (10/5): - Wow!! We had an amazing week at The Soco. The hospitality, the staff, the food was amazing.
Each room had a sea view and is equipped for all you need on an AI stay.
The location was ideal for us, the hotel is at the of the boardwalk so you could chose to either drink and eat at the hotel or visit one of the bars and restaurants along the front. Which means you can have a quiet or louder night depending on your mood.
The food at the hotel was excellent so we had no issues eating most meals at the hotel.
The service was top level and the staff (and general manger) went above and beyond to make our stay the best experience.
Some people have mentioned the road noise in the reviews- yes you can hear the road as the hotel is on the main coast road, but this never bothered us and we slept so well!
The hotel is boutique with only 24rooms (approx) so the staff get to know you and your preferences and the bartenders knew what drinks to make without us asking LOL
In summary - my husband and I have a policy to never stay in the same place or hotel twice as we think the world is too small to repeat a visit - but we would stay at The Soco in Barbados again and already thinking about another visit never year- for us that is top marks!!
- Elaine (10/5): - Great location awesome food and drinks will stay again!!
- Natalie (6/5): - It's a 3 star hotel at best.
If you are looking for a good night sleep you won't get it! Soco Hotel is located on a main road with a nearby major construction site. The beeping and honking begins at 5a.m making it a challenge for light sleepers or anyone seeking a peaceful retreat.
Food & Drink: Another disappointment was the hotel’s limited food and drink options. The restaurant has a small menu with just a few basic choices, none of which stood out as particularly memorable. If you're expecting a variety of high-quality dining options, you’ll be let down. The bar area, though cozy, doesn’t offer much either. In fact, there is no selection of top-shelf alcohol, which was a big letdown for anyone looking to unwind with a more premium drink. The bar was basically non-existent before 12p.m. CHEAPEST alcohol possible, no champagne, only prosecco.
Rooms: Spacious with balconies, but need a major makeover, outdated.
The beach: It's there, but you cannot swim in it, rocks. Don't be fooled by the photos.
- Herwin (10/5): - Good place to relax
- Debra (10/5): - Very nice small boutique all inclusive hotel. Right on the beach with bar, pool and patio area very nicely decorated with amazing views of water and sunsets. Beach is steps away from property. Shopping was within walking distance on board walk. The entire staff was amazing. Check in and out was a breeze, restaurant staff was friendly, polite and quick service. The food was delicious and at least 4 choices were offered each meal. We will definitely return again.
- Lawrence (10/5): Bridgetown Gem - Our stay at the Soco was wonderful. Service was top notch and pampering. The food was outstanding. We especially enjoyed the convenience of the pool and ocean for lounging and dipping. Convenient location and staff from checkin to checkout was great - special shout out to the bar staff - Michelle, Shane, and Zach. The food service staff competent and friendly, especially Reina. The Chef deserves special praise for her outstanding meals.Additional praise for Michelle, who also connected us to the city, activities in the area and a tour around the island.
It does need to be said that having a fourth floor room with no elevator will be an issue for anyone with mobility issues.
- Carla (10/5): - We recently celebrated our 25th anniversary at the Soco Hotel and it was amazing. We had such a great time, it was peaceful and relaxing just what we needed. The guest were mostly older/retired but everyonewas very nice, we are in our mid 40s. If you are looking for a party scene this is not the place.
The hotel was in a central location, the room was large with a balcony overlooking the ocean.
The beach was rocky, definitely bring water shoes. Chairs and umbrella were provided which was great. There is also a boardwalk that connects the hotel to a lot of local restaurants on the stretch along the ocean.
The public beach was only 5 min drive away and free to get in and free parking. If you wanted loungers and an umbrella it was $20 for the day.
The receptionist Shaniqua and Ms. Linda at the front desk were friendly and knowledgeable. Special thanks to Ms. Judith our housekeeper that surprised us by decorating our room and was just so kind in making sure we were taken care of.
A special thanks to our bartenders Shane and Michelle who were both wonderful and made the best Bajan rum punch ever ank kept the liquor flowing.
Thanks to all the hotess/waitresses that served us as well and made us feel special.
Cons: Rocky Beach
Plus: All meals were made to order and wonderful staff.
- Sudha R (8/5): - The Soco Hotel was a small intimate hotel with a great location! We enjoyed the boardwalk that was directly located behind the hotel along the water. It was very safe, walking distance to restaurants, malls and other beaches. The staff, service and food were exceptional! The online photos were deceiving as the rooms and washrooms were smaller than expected. We found the cleanliness was not to hotel standards. Overall, experience was great!
- Theresa (4/5): Not what it seems from the description - The staff were very rude and were not trained at all. It was quite unpleasant at times to say the least. All the beach towels were old and very stained. The chef was the best thing there. There were no lifts and we were on the top floor and had to walk up and town six flights of stairs at least twice a day.
- Robert (8/5): - Property location is good except for proximity to the busy roadway that could be bothersome in the early morning hours. All the rooms have great ocean views, but all but two are on upper floors, and not handicap accessible. The beach area was nice, but rather small as was the swiming pool. Because of our age, and weak Knee issues the staff was able to move us from a 3rd floor unit down to a 2nd floor unit that was much appreciated. All in all, we did enjoy our stay.
- David (10/5): - The food way exceeded our expectations. You won’t find better food on the island!! Everyone is beyond friendly and know your name. We would give it beyond 5 star
- Peter (10/5): - The Soco is a great resort if you are looking for a quiet vacation and seeing the sights around barbados. The services are excellent, staff are very friendly and accommodating. Bus stop is right outside the front door and Bridgetown is a 10 minute bus ride.
- Carolyn V (10/5): - I truly enjoyed my stay at The Soco Hotel. Even though this was a solo trip , I never once felt alone. The staff were so friendly and helpful, the food was excellent, and the views were breathtaking. The cleaning staff also decorated my room for my birthday which was beautiful!!! Will definitely stay here again!!❤️❤️
- James (6/5): - We enjoyed the views of the ocean from our room and the pool. We had one or two issues which were resolved when we brought them to the attention of the management.
- Giovanna De (10/5): - Definitely enjoyed my stay here at soco hotel
- Tina (6/5): - Hotel was very responsive and helped with transportation from the cruise port. Check in is at 3 PM - no exceptions- so if you arrive early have a plan or you are sitting and waiting. Property has no elevator - and being on the 4th floor was lovely as a view - but incredibly challenging for an older someone who lives with no stairs. Staff were friendly and helpful when asked. Food was good - and I was only there for two days - but the menu was the same both days. Location on the boardwalk was great for walking and enjoying the coastline. Nice property- but probably not the best fit for me.
- David (4/5): Beautiful view, Marginal hotel - Not enough lounge chairs, either @ pool or beach. Food, marginal. Housekeeping took our towels and didn’t replace saying it was some holiday so no towels that day. Low end alcohol. Very basic rooms and amenities.
- John (10/5): - Nice hotel friendly staff
- Joanne E (10/5): - This gorgeous beachfront all inclusive boutique hotel is one of our best Barbados finds! We keep going back because it is perfect in every way…the whole staff are outstanding, especially Michelle and Shane! The food and drinks are delicious and the rooms are spacious and clean with a view like no other!!! The beach is stunning! The was our 6th time and we will be back!!! Thank you Soco!
- Shanice (10/5): - My husband and I stayed at The Soco Hotel for 7 night and we were not disappointed. Upon arrival we were welcomed with champagne and escorted to our room. The staff at the hotel really do their best at making your stay as comfortable as possible and you really feel like you have known them for quite some time.
Being a picky eater there were day I asked to have my meal customised and without hesitation it was done. To the chefs who prepared my chicken fingers I say thank you. To the waitress who served us job well done and to the bartenders you drink recommendations were on point.
For a couple days during my stay the higher ups really showed you that they were all about customer satisfaction, taking time to chat with you and even show you to your dinner table. No job is to much for any of their staff.
All the rooms at the Soco were ocean front and this made me even more excited because the view is amazing.
If you are looking for a very cozy quiet and clean place away from home that is also an all inclusive I would definitely recommend.
- Christene (10/5): - My birthday trip to Barbados and my stay at The Soco Resort – was unbelievable- we felt very welcome.
The Resort is very clean, well-kept from the room, bed with a view to die for.
Most of all the people- who took good care of us and made every day special for my husband and I
Michelle- such a beautiful person inside out, she made sure we had everything we need, booking our trips, recommending places for us to go, making our special drinks, greeting us and making sure my birthday set up was done which made me feels special.
Lolene- Everyday you were there for us, making sure we were served everything we asked for. My special request of Cou-Cou and fish was done for my special day – thanks so much for you.
Kim- Girl you were great- you know my picky husband – you serve him with a smile every day – you are great at what you do, keep smiling- we need more like you
Shane you are the entertainer of the hotel. Every night you brought the night alive with your music, dance move and that smile. You made sure everyone was having a good time at the bar. BIG Thanks to the Aquatic class you give us. You are a keeper.
Zack- You are a gentle man with class, who serve everyone- the night live with you was super super cool, we enjoyed every moment of your time, you made sure everyone at the bar was serve.
I would go back and recommend this hotel, it’s like family
I recommendations- finger food at the bar.
- Denise (8/5): WE enjoyed our stay but things could be improved. - We enjoyed our stay - food was very hit and miss - some of the staff were excellent - especially Shane & Zach at the bar - Shaniqua and Linda on reception and Michelle who organised our trips.
The hotel itself really needs to be updated as it is looking very tired .
More sunbeds needed around the pool and on the beach.
- Madeline (6/5): - Friendly staff - the bar tender was wonderful. Comfy beds. The food was great but it is a limited menu. Gorgeous views. Very small hotel.
- Anthony Austin (10/5): - I just spent 6 fantastic days at the SoCo Hotel. From the time that I arrived for check in to the time that I checked out I had the best service you could possibly get. All staff members are friendly and helpful. I wasn’t good at getting everyone’s name but Shaniqua, Shane, Mr Allen and last but not least Michelle were my go-to’s for anything I needed at the bar or at the front desk. Michelle went out of her way to accommodate me on several occasions and made sure I had an introduction to the owner of the hotel during a nice reception event. The location is very central for getting around on either the west or south coast. I’ve stayed in several hotels on the island, but this tiny boutique hotel is right up there for me. I will definitely book with them in the future.
- Andrej (4/5): - Hotel (which is not a resort) is located on a small piece of land between a busy street and the ocean. Even though all rooms have ocean view, you will hear the traffic all night long. One small restaurant has limited menus, the food is of mediocre quality, and on top of that the restaurant waiters will not make you feel like a welcomed guest. The staff at the bar were very good, though. This is the first tropical island that we were not offered any tropical fruit. The cost of this stay was not that expensive, but not worth the money. Just look elsewhere.
- AMANDA (10/5): - I had an amazing time here, staff was very friendly and helpful. The property was beautiful and great food. I would definitely come here again.
- Gavin (6/5): - Overall property was not very clean. Saw roaches in the stairwell. Rooms are just feet’s away from a very loud bus stop. Our party had 3 rooms during our stay and all had their own issues such a loud leaking faucets/shower, dripping water from the in room AC and TV not working.
Parking was limited but we were always lucky to find a spot. There is no elevator so be prepared to take the stairs. While then pool is very small, it was well maintained and usually not crowded.
The redeeming quality was that most of the staff were kind and courteous but there were 1 or 2 who were either rude or unhelpful. Bartenders were friendly and made great cocktails. Noise aside, the beds and pillows were comfortable.
Food options were limited but tased good, lots of watching options within walking distance.
Overall I would rate this property 2/5.
- Jodi (10/5): - the SoCo Hotel was an amazing experience! Highly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing stay in Barbados. The staff are all extremely accommodating and very friendly. The food was top notch as well!
You won't regret booking here!
- Valerie Jacqueline (8/5): - The view from the property was beautifully stunning. Waking up and falling to sleep with the sound of the waves.
The staff were very helpful and supported any query about getting to places.
A whole variety of cocktails, the bar staff, are great and would make a drink out of any combination of drinks. Love those guys especially Shane and Michelle
What needs to change is a little more variety with the menu.Mostly the food was good, but if staying longer than a week, found that I ate out more just for mpre of a culturally different meal.
- Cheryl (10/5): Great small hotel - Had an amazing time. The staff couldn’t do enough for you. You really get to know everyone staying there cause it’s small. Only complaint is there are not enough lounge chairs by the beach and pool.
- Fellotain S (10/5): - Everything was great. Food, service, and stay.
- wendell (2/5): - I won’t stay here again
- Sathiyathevi (8/5): - Good location for everything.
