Guest Reviews
- Karen (9/5): Charming hotel and wonderful location. - The continental breakfast is excellent, the staff were wonderful and friendly, and the location couldnt be beat.
- Irene (10/5): - Everything about this hotel is wonderful! So clean and cute. Restaurants nearby and the staff was so nice. We would definitely stay here again. N/A

- Jeremy (8/5): Pleasant stay in downtown Silver City - Historic Art Deco Hotel in ideal downtown location, easy walking distance to restaurants, pleasant staff. The window A/C units are noisy and only cool the room when turned up to the most powerful setting. The bed and linens are of moderate quality and comfort at best.
- Craig (5/5): -
- Jeff (3/5): -
- Juan (10/5): We will stay again - Clean room, staff was great No parking
- deborah (10/5): - ive been staying here for 5 years my favorite place in silver city
- Marianne (8/5): Loved the location and retro vibe of the Murray hotel. - Loved the location and vibe of the hotel plus the friendly staff. Bathroom was small and the rooms were not soundproof - I heard music and voices from a nearby room.
- Beverly (8/5): Historic hotel in downtown Silver City. - Location and history of We had a room with an adjoining door. We could hear their TV, their conversations, and every time they coughed. Those doors need better insulation.
- Willie (9/5): - So much nicer than staying in a generic corporate hotel for the same price. The place has such character! The art deco style was great! Also, the location was excellent!
- BowtieJohn (10/5): Historic 1930's hotel - Great stay in historic 1930's Art Deco hotel. King suite was spacious, two rooms. Silver City is a great place to visit and this hotel is right in the middle of downtown.

- alicia (6/5): front desk was nice but i wouldnt stay there again - room was nice and seemed clean. the bathroom was not clean, smelled like a urinal
- William (10/5): -
- Kathleen (10/5): -
- Tammy (10/5): Will come again! - I like the location in downtown Silver City. The price was slightly high for what is offered.
- Ana (7/5): - Everything else that I did not mention below Wifi was slow couldn't watch tv. Hot water did not last at all.
- McAllaster (9/5): Enjoyable, we will stay here again when we return to Silver City. - We loved the charm of an old hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful.
- John (8/5): Overall was a pleasant stay. I would stay there again. - Clean, neat room. Room did not have air conditioning unit. I was able to open window and that was suffice.
- Jennifer (8/5): -
- mark (9/5): Cool Old Hotel - They did a great job restoring this beautiful old hotel. It was an memorable experience wandering around checking everything out.
The staff was awesome, very clean. I will definitely stay here again. Nothing
- Esther (10/5): -
- Lori (7/5): Good location and value - The location was great, right in historic downtown area, surrounded by my shooems, restaurants, coffee shops, bookstores, and museum. Hotel is older, but we'll kept and very clean. Breakfast was standard continental breakfast fare, so nothing special, but sufficient. Description says parking is provided offside but doesnt mention that means you park wherever you can find a spot on the street or narrow side streets, which can be difficult especially on the weekend. We found the mattress uncomfortably soft.
- Rad (8/5): - LOCATION.
Being in hub and walking distance.
Charm of 1930's. The older plumbing was in good repair but our 3rd floor bsthroom had sewer odor.
- Soltyszewski (5/5): Decent place with few wrinkles - Good central location, walking distance from several different restaurants. Interesting history. No hotel dedicated parking. No AC in the room.
My room was very hot and had no way to cool it off.
- Barbara (9/5): Fun art deco hotel. Clean and comfortable. - King room was big with confy bed and 2 windows that open, 2 comfy chairs and a desk.
Bathroom was small but shower was very good. Wifi adequate. Staff were friendly and helpful. There is no way to get cooling in the room. The thermostat only has heat or off modes. Even with the thermostat off, the radiators emitted heat. We opened the windows which cooled the room somewhat. It was February so can't imagine the room temp in the summer.
- christine (9/5): - Old World charm. Quiet. Good breakfast selection. Bathroom was very small, but understandable in an historic hotel.

- James (9/5): -
- Maria (5/5): Needs hot water to shower guests. Unacceptable. - Cleanliness, walkable stores, treats, and restaurants. No hot water!! The rooms were stuffy no air circulation. No sitting chairs in the 2 queen room.
- Nancy (6/5): - Location. History of hotel. Old leaky dirty sink in bathroom needs replaced. Breakfast could be improved.
- Mindy (5/5): It was a clean comfortable place to sleep safely. - Good location. Small uncomfortable bathroom, cool water for shower. Shower head and bath faucet sprayed everywhere.

- Sarah (8/5): - Love the staff . Had a very small double queen room with no fridge, no microwave, no coffee pot 🤷♀️. I quess they were busy . People working on the 5th floor apartments at night
- F6552BFtimothyc (8/5): Good value, beautifully restored hotel - Lovely historic hotel in the middle of the historic district. Good value for the money. Very clean. The downsides: rooms are very small and the bathrooms are tiny. I could not dry myself after a shower without stepping out of the bathroom, that small. Breakfast is ok but nothing more than that. Skip their coffee, both in the room (horrible) and downstairs (better but still not great) there are several nice coffee houses nearby with excellent coffee.
- Wen Shing (8/5): nice and cozy - easy access location, clean room, nice and helpful staffs TV remote controller does not work

- Daniel (7/5): - Good Needed lights over the mirror over the sink
- Simon (10/5): - Location was just perfect in downtown.
Breakfast was simple but okay
Hotel seemed newly renovated, so everything was nice and clean
- Bob (10/5): -
- Samantha (10/5): - Never disappoint s!
- Samantha (10/5): Perfect! - Love this hotel! Great location and beautiful rooms ! We will always come back!
- THERESA (8/5): - room was clean, the staff was helpful when I forgot my toothpaste and to let
me know what was open in town. I could not adjust the heat and the room was a bit chilly. The blow dryer did not work.
- Owens (10/5): -
- Owens (10/5): -
- Christina (10/5): Wonderful downtown stay! - For being an old hotel, it was in better condition than most of the big chains. No moldy shower corners, no detached ductwork, no chipped paint - all of which is routine at so many modern, supposedly nice hotels. It could use a dresser.
- Melsina (8/5): Comfortable - Love the vintange look, great location. Water backup while taking a shower.
- Turnbull (8/5): - Loved the location. No designated parking. However, we did not have trouble finding parking, and it was a holiday weekend.
- Eric (9/5): -
- Diane (10/5): Excellent hotel - The breakfast was not diabetic friendly. The hard boiled eggs being the only protein. It was good otherwise.
- Luis (7/5): - The stay was good and relaxing. All was good, nothing to complain about.
- Barbara (8/5): Enjoyable stay in downtown Silver City - Love the art deco decor, great location, comfortable bed and quiet room. We didn’t have any issues with parking but that have been because we visited in late Nov. Pillows were too firm for my liking but otherwise everything was good.
- Sean (9/5): - Staff was pleasent and very helpful Beds suck and the pillows are trash
- Shelly (9/5): -
- Laurie (9/5): -
- Lori (9/5): - The location is excellent for access to the main street.
The beds were comfortable although the room was small. Breakfast was very limited and only sweet stuff, yogurt and cereals. They could improve on that for the price they charge for a room. The biggest issue with this hotel is the lack of parking. We arrived about 3 pm so there was free parking on the street. If the hotel was full and you arrived closer to 5 pm, I'm not sure where you would park.
- ColRamirez (10/5): Downtown has nothing to compare to it. - A True Gem in the Heart of Silver City!
The Murray Hotel is an incredible blend of vintage charm and modern comfort. From the moment you walk into the beautifully restored Art Deco lobby, you can feel the history — it’s like stepping back in time, but with all the conveniences of today. The staff are genuinely friendly, the rooms are clean and comfortable, and the location couldn’t be better — right in the center of downtown, surrounded by great restaurants, galleries, and local shops.
What really makes the Murray special is its soul. Every hallway and corner has a story to tell, and the hotel often hosts amazing community events, film screenings, live music, and even costume balls in its grand ballroom. It’s more than a place to stay — it’s part of Silver City’s heartbeat.
If you love places with character, history, and a touch of magic, the Murray Hotel is a must-visit destination. You’ll leave with great memories and probably a few new friends.
- Canode (9/5): - The mid century and prior design was beautiful. They forgot to refill coffee area
- Elizabeth (9/5): Great place. We will be back - The rooms were small, but extremely well appointed and comfortable. Hotel was really clean and wonderfully located. I like everything about the property but to make it even better I would’ve loved too big fluffy towels in addition to the smaller towels in the bathrooms and I would’ve liked two soft pillows added to the harder ones on the bed. Also a power strip so I could’ve charged everything at once would’ve been fantastic.
- Cindy (8/5): - The room was clean and comfortable. The AC needed to be a bit cooler. Would recommend staying here if you want to be right in the historical area.
- Kenneth (7/5): -
- Judy (10/5): -
- Michael (10/5): - Street parking only but plenty around the hotel.
- Mark (10/5): -
- Gregory (10/5): -
- BRIAN (10/5): - It was great
- Scott (10/5): - It was a wonderful stay
- Vanita (8/5): - Friendly staff, clean room and good breakfast. Enjoyed my stay there.
- Linda (6/5): - Wo
- Lucile (7/5): - Con isn’t Somewhat old and used
- John (4/5): - The joining room setup meant that I heard every word spoken in the room next to mine - and their conversation went on late.
