• Maria Lourdes (8/5): Fantastic stay with great value, amazing pool, and friendly staff - The hotel was fantastic. The location is great, the pool is beautiful, and the room was huge for the price. The staff were incredibly friendly, and the cleanliness was excellent. I would definitely stay here again.
• Jagdeep Singh (3/5): Avoid at all cost. - The only thing is its proximity to the main streets. 1. The power went off - there was no backup generators. We slept in no power. 2. The tea mugs in the room were so dirty, they smelled and even had black lining as if these haven’t been washed in ages. 3. The room was humid and because of no power, there was wasn’t any ventilation for air to cross. 4. Ants in the room. 5. Smelly washrooms. 6. When I flushed the toilet, the water stinks and it stinks like sewage water. 7. Turning on the bathroom fan pulls the air from water drains and it makes the room very stinky. I had to cover all drainage vents to turn on exhaust to remove the dirty air.

• Theo (7/5): Great location, spacious room. - The bed was comfy, and a very spacious room with a big balcony. The restaurant food was delicious and fairly priced, with lots of options. The pool was really nice with a decent amount of sun loungers. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Bathroom was outdated, with a weak shower. The drain also filled up whilst showering. There was no plug sockets near the bed and our balcony was adjoining with the room next door so they had access to our balcony and vice versa

• Ana (5/5): - They allowed us to have later check out Bathroom was old and water didn't drain well from bathtub. Also, we got only 1 towel per person, for another they told us that we should pay. There was no soap for hand washing. Safe wasn't functioning. Sitting chairs on the terrace were dirty and under cushions were small lizards and ants. The furniture needs to be renovated. Some staff members couldn't speak English. We got vouchers for welcome drink, but we never got any.

Perfect if you are just passing by ubud as its very well located and price super competitiv - Room was very big and staff super nice and helpful Pictures are better than how it is in reality as probably they were made years ago. L'emplacement est idéal, dans une rue plutôt calme avec tous les commerces indispensables autour: restaurants, bars avec de la bonne musique, supérette, agence pour les excursions, spa, laundry où ils lavent, sèchent et repassent votre linge. Le petit déjeuner est excellent. Tout était parfait. Un tres bon rapport qualité prix. Rien, à par peut-être la pression de l'eau dans la douche qui etait faible

• Migle (10/5): - I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The location was great and the staff were very friendly and helpful. I was pleasantly surprised to receive a room upgrade for the same price, which in fact was super low due to the rainy season. I also really appreciated having a comfortable work desk in the room, which is something that is often missing in hotels and made working much easier. Excellent value for money. I would definitely recommend this place and would be happy to stay here again. The bathroom showed some signs of wear, but personally this did not bother me at all and did not affect my stay.

Tiene todo muy cerca y el personal es un encanto La ducha no tenía presión, el wc tenía esa mancha negra al rededor del agua supongo que era de viejo, no dejan ingresar con comida ni bebida al recinto pero por ejemplo no tenían Coca Cola en su bar. Las toallas y las sábanas estaban manchadas, espero que solo hayan sido manchas y no que estaban sucias. Por si acaso en la lavandería de en frente lave las fundas

• Giulia (9/5): Ci torneremo - La struttura è molto carina, in certi punti è un po datata e avrebbe bisogno di manutenzione. Non ho messo il massimo dei voti perchè il primo giorno abbiamo avuto un problema con il letto della nostra camera, c erano degli insetti ma il giorno dopo ci hanno dato un altra camera anche piu bella e piu pulita dell altra, abbiamo infatti deciso di stare un giorno jn più! I ragazzi che ci lavorano sono sempre molto gentili e disponibili. Ve lo raccomando anche perchè se volete potete rilassarvi in piscina. Vi consiglio anche il ristorante dell albergo! Come dicevo prima la nota negativa è stata la prima camera… sporca e con gl insetti nel letto….

• Torben (9/5): Super Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis. Schönes Hotel in Ubud - Freundliches Personal, ruhiger netter Pool und gute Lage. Es ist kein Luxushotel, aber das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis stimmt. Als Alleinreisender bin ich sogar ein zweites Mal wiedergekommen und wurde wieder warm empfangen. Man merkt dass das Hotel schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen ist. Hier und da ein kleiner Schönheitsmangel und der Wasserdruck z.B. der Dusche lässt zu wünschen übrig. Für 20€ für ein Doppelzimmer kann man aber nichts sagen. Ich bin wiedergekommen.

• Javier (6/5): Pas mal. Il faudrait mettre un petit coup de clean pour les clients - L’emplacement et le personnel très gentil La café et le petit déjeuner pas génial. Les chambre du bas ont des odeurs horribles d’humidité et de moisi mais ils nous installer à l’étage. C’était bcp mieux. La piscine s’était verte donc pas possible.

• Alessandro (7/5): - Staff molto disponibile (anche se abbiamo avuto poco modo di parlarci, essendo via praticamente tutto il giorno, ma quando necessario gentili e disponibili) e con una buona comprensione dell'inglese. Struttura in una zona molto tranquilla del centro di Ubud ma con vicino qualche ristorante, locale, negozietto, spa e atm. In particolare ci sono dei comodissimi locali aperti relativamente fino a tardi la sera per bersi qualcosa e molto carini, spesso con musica dal vivo! Posizione ottima per centro città e foresta delle scimmie, a circa 15 minuti a piedi da entrambi. Stanza pulita ma non troppo nei dettagli, molto umida e dopo un po tende a puzzare di umido ogni cosa, specialmente se non si tiene sempre l'aria condizionata accesa (noi non lo abbiamo fatto, ci sembrava uno spreco). Doccia in particolar modo sporca e scomoda!

• Rachel (8/5): Perfectly acceptable mid range accommodation. - Large rooms and good location. Lack of hot water when arriving from international travel was a shame. Bar closed early but there is a cheap supermarket across the road.
• Camilla (5/5): - It is central and well placed to go for a walk in Ubud’s main road. The check in and check were smooth and the staff nice, kind, friendly, helpful and polite. We rented two rooms, we found both of them old fashioned and not super clean. Pretty basics indeed. They definitely need a renewal, especially the restrooms.

• ELAINE (10/5): - All staff are professional and friendly, in particular Ayu counter staff. The rooms are large with balcony and so clean with large windows, allowing lots of natural light. Bathroom also huge with bathtub. The pool area is nice and big with sun lounges and decking for our morning stretches. There’s a restaurant with good menu and a nice rooftop area for breakfast. Neat flourishing garden on the property with clean pathways. It was very good value for money and will come back again.

• Shivani (6/5): - A nice quiet property in a great location! Rooms were spacious and had a nice overall design. Bedsheets had some stains on them, the paint on parts of the wall were peeling, the bathtub floor was stained brown (and to shower you had to step up into the tub that was raised 2 feet off the ground and there was no shower curtain). Bathroom would be very dangerous for the elderly or anyone not able-bodied. But you get what you pay for so for the price it’s a nice place to crash!

Bedsheet had holes and stains, shower had excessive black staining on the ground and was oddly elevated such that if you are any taller than 5 foot 4 inches you have to crouch down to end up under the faucet. Housekeeping never came during the 5 day stay. Front desk was very difficult to navigate due to limitations of english.

• Lot (3/5): Never again - The staff is very friendly, the bed is comfortable, the curtains block the sunlight The rest. The bathroom is horrendous. Everything was really old in the bathroom. The toilet looked old and dirty and on the handshower was some mold? You have to shower in a very old bathtube, you certainly don't want to lay down in and when I tried to use the shower it turned out to be broken so the water came out on all sides, except the right one. The airconditioning was placed right in front of the wall of the bed , blowing in your face the whole night, which left me ill. I booked for 2 nights, my last two nights in Ubud, but I did not want to stay any longer. The next day I could hardly talk because of the aircon and I told them I was leaving and not paying for the second night. Because I came in late I saw the situation the bathroom was in and the other things too late, otherwise I would have left immediately. It was the most expensive accommodation I had in Ubud and the worst one. I don't understand that they dare to ask so much money for a room like this.

• Esjai (8/5): Great price, great breakfast, ideal location and lovely friendly staff. - The staff are amazing and friendly, the breakfast is really lovely with a wide choice. We was told on arrival there was a problem with the room we booked so they put us in a bigger room, it was two singles put together which is not ideal but the mattresses were amazing. The air con control didn't really control it - it was either full blast or a trickle - the tv was a couple of local channels so un update to a smart tv would be great. For what we paid - it was great! Like others have said, the bathroom needs updating, the toilet seat was minging and needs replacing - we were in room 106. I didnt like the extra charge for the using the credit card - in UK this is illegal to charge - I already get charged the exchange - don't have credit card facilities if you are not gonna take the hit - I shouldn't have to take two hits. - Might of spent more in restaurant had we not had this extra charge

Especially girl named Ayu(if I remember the name right), she is amazing, helped me with all I needed(thread and needle). The hotel is on the cozy street with lots of nice restaurants. The main area has good restaurant and they compliment you with a drink. The room in general is basic clean room. Shower curtain is really needed, there are lots of comments about it, but still no curtains. Half of the bathroom is wet after taking shower.

We walked out of our hotel each day, picked a random spot for lunch, and were never disappointed The tub / shower had no curtain, door, or wall to keep the water from spraying all over the bathroom, and was raised a foot off the bathe floor, slippery and dangerous when getting out.

• Valerie (8/5): We enjoyed our four night stay at this handy hotel. The food and service were excellent. - So many excellent features of this little hotel. The staff were amazing, so polite and helpful. They work very hard to keep the room and the grounds spick and span. The pool area was very pleasant, I loved all the tropical plants. Our room was bright and spacious, water was provided and cleaning done daily. The only downside of this lovely place for us, was the bathroom. The fittings were well past their sell by date and the toilet was particularly nasty. The over bath shower was adequate but the bath itself was blackened where the enamel had worn away. As the room itself was pleasant, maybe the bathrooms are planned for an upgrade soon.
• Roza (2/5): - Staff was amazing, but the area was dirty, loaded with lizards, trash everywhere, no respect for the environment with heavy plastic use and plies of plastic n the streets, zillions of scooters made it impossible to walk or breath. I would never go to Ubud.
• Johanna (8/5): - Oikein hyvä hinta/laatusuhde. Hotelli oli lähellä kauppoja ja ravintoloita, sekä kävelymatkan päässä apinametsästä. Ystävällinen henkilökunta. Allasalue oli kiva, puhdas ja usein rauhallinen. Ravintolassa maukas aamupala, ei buffet vaan listalta tilattava. Ainoa miinus oli kylppäri, joka ei ollut kovin siisti ja suihkusta tuli vettä todella huonolla paineella + piti odottaa kauan että tulee lämmintä. Huoneessa ei ole tallelokeroa.Sängyssä oleva lakana oli liian pieni eli ei pysynyt paikallaan.

• Oliver (10/5): Our stay here has been a good experience from the start to finish, sad to be leaving but moving onto more adventures. - I like that the property has very friendly/helpful staff, always smiling and there to help if needed. The pool is very large and deep and a nice place to lay out and relax. Roots Bisma the onsite restaurant is to die for, we’ve ate here almost every day we have been staying at the Putri Ayu Cottages i would defiantly recommend eating here if your staying at the cottage’s or not. Myself and my partner had a fantastic time here, we originally had booked a three night stay here but we liked it that much we booked two more nights onto our stay and upgraded rooms. Perfection! I have nothing which i did not like about the property.

English of the staff isn't the best, so sometimes it was harder to have clear communication. The room had a lot of mosquitos, and they don't clean your room if you don't hang something on the door.

I arrived early before the usual 2pm check-in time, and they allowed me to check in to my room as it was vacant and clean. Thanks for that. Special thanks to Ari at the Front Desk, Dewa, and Aris at Roots and all housekeeping team. The sewage smell in the bathroom. The 2 single beds pushed to be a king bed.
• Diego (6/5): A bit disappointing. Not worth it for the price. - The staff was good. I can mention especially the lady at the reception. Sorry, I don't remember her name, but she was extremely kind and helpful. The pool was a nice one to chill and spend the afternoon. On top of this, having that restaurant right there is very convenient. The location undoubtedly is very good. You can have many restaurant options, massage shops, tattoo shops, convenience stores and pretty close to different tourist attractions such as the monkey forest. I didn't like that it looks very old the room. Starting with the door that is locked with a key and sometimes was hard to open it. You need to push it hard for it. The hole on the wall for the air-conditioning is a fail completely as insects and especially lizards come through it. The look of toilet and bath tub was disappointing. Looking old and not very clean all the time plus the bath tub was scratch and the oxidation of the material is visible. It was really a drawback because I especially looked the room with bath tub, but that was unpleasant. In addition, it doesn't have a proper shower which it makes it also difficult. Honestly, the cleaning can be better and something for guests comfort is providing a rubbish bin for the room as the only one was located in the bathroom but it can be filled up easily with bottles and other stuff. So, I had to put bottles and boxes or other rubbish on top of the TV table but the cleaning people didn't picked them up.

• William (10/5): Beautiful stay in Ubud - Almost everything was perfect, the staff are friendly and service is great, rooms are big and comfortable. Location is good - The rooms are away from the road so little traffic noise - and it's situated near or near enough everything you'd like to see in Ubud, 5 min walk from a highstreet, 10-15 from monkey forest... Really good resturaunt / bar attached at the front for lazy nights in, pool is lovely and clean though I didn't use it. My one complaint is that we had a stained bed cushion (not pillow) that seemed to have not been cleaned in a while. I'm sure it would have been replaced if I asked but I just moved it and didn't raise the issue.

I had to leave the bathroom lit all night To get mybearings I would have preferred a twin beds... No light on edside table...i told them before...u It uses more electucity and .o chair.i askewfor chair and got it. It is bath ...with shower on top..
