Guest Reviews
- preet (6/5): - The location and heritage siting was beautiful The rooms had insects, the bed and pillow covers as well. While checking in, we were kept waiting for almost an hour.

- Rosa (10/5): A wonderful place to rest and relax - Excellent breakfast. Wonderful service, staff very accommodating, beautiful property The wi-fi was dicey - non existent in the rooms but reasonable in the garden and common areas. Much room for improvement in this department
- Neva (9/5): Unique and beautiful property in a rural location - Wow, what a beautiful and unique property located within a small village. Beautifully maintained, very comfortable and we were well looked after for our stay. We loved the room, the garden and the bar area. We were treated with some Indian musicians playing music for us while we sat around a fire. Very special. Nothing, it was a great mid point stop for us between Udaipur and Jaisalmer so hoping more people discover and stay there.
- Jitendra (10/5): - Location, pricing, staff None
- Kuntal (1/5): - There was nothing to like
They dont have a telephone number to get in touch with them.
After confirming a booking and despite my message that we would reach around 1.30 am un the morning... they locked up tight and we had to turn back from the gate, as there was no one around to open it
How can any hotel not have a telephone number to get in youch with. They have a gurgaon number which is dysfunctuinal They are not reachable ...its almost like a haunted gouse experience
- Jeremy (8/5): Lovely place to relax - Lovely room with view - and sound - of the lake. Immaculately kept garden and pool. Great food when cooked and served buffet style for half board. Less good when a la carte. A great place to relax and escape the mayhem in the cities.
- Anna (10/5): - Amazing hospitality, best of our trip in India. Surprise delights like the Mewari horses, lake with interesting bird sightings, and the Rajasthani musicians! The GM Vimal made our stay supremely special. We felt like royalty.
- Tania (10/5): - Tutto. Atmosfera, pulizia, gentilezza, qualità. Che bel posto. Talmente bello da sembrare uscito da una favola.
- Imogen (10/5): Exceptional - Rohet Gahr is one of my favourite places and I love it. It is charming and beautifully decorated with helpful and cheerful staff and a very refreshing swimming pool. There is nothing I don't like about Rohet Garh
- Bharat (1/5): Bad -
- rahul (10/5): Awesome Rohetgarh - What an amazing property, gives you a feel for heritage living alongwith modern facilities. Thakur Sahib stays on the property and is a treasure trove of history.
- Katie (10/5): Wonderful Christmas stay at a beautiful heritage property with fantastic staff and service. - Lovely rooms and garden. The surrounding village is interesting to wander around. The staff were exceptional and our children enjoyed having the space to run around, visit the horses, and listen to nightly music.
- Simon (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lucy (10/5): A wonderful oasis of calm. - A beautiful historical property which has been well cared for by a team of friendly hotel staff. Our room was amazing and lying by the pool was a welcome relief after the dust of the cities.
- Linda (10/5): Lovely escape from the noise of India to recoup our energy in lovely old style hospitality. - Being out of the towns. Peace and quiet. Beautiful room excellent food and helpful staff. Nothing
- Tatiana (10/5): Timeless Elegance and Unmatched Hospitality - The hotel is crafted with exceptional taste, preserving the history and recognizable outlines of the 16th-century fort. It strikes a perfect balance between modern comfort, thoughtful design, and the fort's timeless spirit. Stepping onto the grounds feels like entering a magical world of India, with a beautiful bird-filled garden, a cozy room, and plenty of inviting spots to relax. The service is outstanding, with staff showing exceptional care and attention to every detail.
- Liane (10/5): A beautiful oasis awaits in the middle of a village in Rohet Garh, about an hour out of Jodhpur - We loved the ambience and architecture of the whole hotel. The staff were super friendly and courteous, and the atmosphere is serene and beautiful. We were upgrade to two suites which was a bonus and these rooms were very spacious and full of history and character. Vimal, the GM, was super helpful and obliging. We will definitely return again.
- Anne-catrin (10/5): Enchanting stay at Rohet Garh - Amazing village and wildlife tour in the late afternoon and fantastic morning hack out into the desert. Delicious home cooked food. Fantastic heritage room. Massage was good but very expensive but it probably isn’t easy to find someone well qualified out in the countryside.
- Peter (8/5): A great hotel - This was a comfortable and spacious property, set on extensive ground by the lake. The rooms were much larger than you would expect and there is a good sized swimming pool. The staff were friendly and attentive
- Thomas (10/5): Exceptional - What a property! We stayed here one night and really if we would have had the possibility to stay more we would have. They property is outstanding, unique and just very romantic. We had the best food during our stay in Rajasthan here. All in all just a great location!
- Sarowa (10/5): Exceptional oasis in a small village town - The facility was not notch and provided us with exceptional service. The breakfast was outstanding. The rooms were very well appointed. Loved everything about this place.
- Valerie (10/5): A DREAM HAVEN ! Away from the craziness of our world - What can I say ? This is a dream place ! I never wanted to leave. The place is so authentic, old charm, quaint, the people there genuinely adorable, the food exquisite. There was a beautiful energy there. I would come back in a heart beat and stay for a week Nothing
- Wendy (8/5): Very good - Good Breakfast. No wifi in room - only in public areas.
- Martin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kay (10/5): A very luscious, green stay in a magical environment! - Very luxurious stay in the beautiful environment of a nature reserve and a beautiful village.
the gardens are exceptionally beautiful, the staff very friendly, food is incredible and the views of the hotel and its surroundings are brilliant, both during the day and at night.
Lots of birds and wildlife to be seen, pied kingfishers, etc. The jeep safari is a great idea but for me it should be split in two parts, an animal sighting and photographing part and a visit to arts and crafts places as a second part. Now the arts and crafts part takes over the biggest part of the safari which is a shame, I would have liked to photograph a lot of the birds we saw.
- Christophe (9/5): Tremendous - Very nice and clean, staff was so kind. Little far from the center but worth it. Dinner was also very good Breakfast was good but not lot of choice, but that’s a detail compared to the good things
- Allona (9/5): We loved our stay at Rohet Garh. And would highly recommend for anyone seeking an authentic unique Indian experience to - Property was charming, right from the entry point. A little oasis in the desert, with deep history and modern day comforts. Especially enjoyed the folk music in the evenings and the garden and resting by the pool during the day highly recommend for anyone to stay. Food with mazing. The garden spectacular. The folk music divine
- Shreyansh (8/5): Very good -
- Kathleen (10/5): Lovely grounds and large comfortable room. Great service and good food, too. - The property was lush and beautiful. The rooms were big and well appointed. The dinner variety was good and the service was excellent. We had a nice massage as well.

- Diana (10/5): Exceptional -
- Aniljeet (8/5): Very good -
- Aida (9/5): A superb stay - This was one of the best stays we've had for a while. The hotel itself is beautiful, with blooming gardens and elegant sitting areas. The bedroom was situated in an old building overlooking the lake at the back, with great antique furniture and furnishings. It was a truly atmospheric place, with a great team of people who greeted us warmly and supported and helped us at every turn. The food was excellent, with some really tasty regional recipes. In the evening, we would sit outside under the lovely trees (with a fire lit up next to us) and listen to a concert of Rajasthani music while sipping first-class cocktails and waiting for dinner. We also found the Village Safari to be a worthwhile experience - we saw blackbuck and blue bull and visited some communities in the vicinity (the Bishnoi people and a Brahmin community, who showed us lovely hospitality). All in all, the perfect stay! There really isn't anything that I could suggest in terms of improving the quality of the hotel facilities or services on offer. Perhaps, looking for ways to improve the wi fi connection would be one such suggestion: it is currently achieved through a dongle and we had endless problems with it (I had to complete some work) - the dongle either needed recharging (it does not hold its charge for long) or the hotel needed to renew its payment for the service, so we struggled a bit with achieving seamless connection. If you take the dongle, accept the offer of the charging cable with it.
- Wong (10/5): Exceptional - Great hospitality! The hotel staff were very kind and helpful, making sure all our needs were met. The room was comfortable, clean and charming.Very good and satisfied!
- Shrikant (9/5): Superb -
- Robert (10/5): we thoroughly enjoyed every moment of our stay at Rohet Ghar. - Fantastic property. Clean and well maintained. Wr loved the hospitality of the staff. Great food and well organised excursions.
- Vinay (10/5): Exceptional -
- Saurav (7/5): Good -
- Antonino (10/5): A magical experience in real India. - The place is just magical, I liked the position in a typical village surrounded by nature and few houses and markets. There was music at night in and out of the hotel. We were invited to a local feast by the owner, everyone was nice and kind. The swimming pool didn't look very clean but maybe it was just the products they used .
- Kedia (8/5): Very good -
- Valerie (10/5): Glorious:) -
- Rushabh (8/5): Very good -
- Rushabh (8/5): Very good -
- Riley (10/5): A serene oasis - It's a beautiful, historic property that is extremely well maintained. The staff is wonderful, friendly, and helpful.
They have a lovely bar and a great restaurant. It is truly an oasis.
- Nicole (10/5): Hotel à ne pas manquer sur votre route. - Un très bel endroit pour relaxer durant le voyage avec la belle cour et ses endroits pour lire, se reposer. La piscine est très belle. Les chambres grandes et spacieuses. Bon restaurant. Surtout le service extraordinaire du personnel.
- Melissa (10/5): Relaxing boutique hotel - Nice boutique heritage hotel. Beautiful grounds and staff are extremely helpful and friendly. Would recommend as a place to come, relax and unwind out of the hustle and bustle of the big cities in India
- Verified traveler (10/5): Wonderful experience - Unique, excellent food, lovely garden beautifully lit after dark. Good on-site shop selling very good quality, locally made items. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to return. Thank you for the upgrade to the "Writers' suite" which was very special.
- s paul (4/5): Convenient but not satisfying hotel. - Hotel has a nice courtyard with trees and flowers. Dinner service was good, breakfast was meager. Rooms are small and poorly designed. Approach to hotel is through a filthy village. Stray dogs outside hotel property barked all night. On a 15 night, 9-hotel trip, this was one of the most expensive yet with poorest overall satisfaction. Suggest upgrading rooms, working with neighboring village to improve ambiance.
- amador (8/5): Algo diferente - Muy buen servicio el lugar es muy singular la dueña eta siempre pendiete
- Mary (10/5): The best place we stayed in India - Away from town, this is a beautiful country escape that feels like an elegant home. It's an inspiration in decor with beautiful fabrics and carpets. The garden is a delight - in fact I spent the most of one day reading and writing there. The atmosphere encourages interaction with other guests, and the owner, elegant and gracious, wanders through the grounds greeting guests. Her little dachshund follows her, and there is also a lab puppy who does her share of greeting. The food is delicious .
- lin (10/5): Great stop-over in a small village - Hotel is adapted from a family owned fort to comfortable rooms with lovely gardens and lounges. Great ambience at nights sitting in open air with bonfire and authentic indian live music. Villagers are very welcoming and we (all girls) feel safe to go out for a short walk. There is no much around but hotel offers a good variety of activities including village jeep safari and horseback riding on local breed Marwari.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Almost obligatory! - One night at the hotel itself, and one night at the tented camp. Absolutely a must...especially the tented camp.
- Alice (10/5): Garden Oasis near Jodhpur - A luscious garden heritage hotel away from noisy city life in Rajasthan. After a long drive from Udaipur we sank into the welcoming arms of the attentive staff and enjoyed the lively Rajasthani musicians before a delicious meal. The rooms were spacious, providing ample room for 3 of us with an extra bed added. I would definitely recommend this beautiful property for discerning travelers looking for unique luxurious accommodations.
- Lotta Petersson (8/5): Fantastic and speciel hotel - Best hotel we stayed at in our five week journey in Nepal and India. It was clean, comfortable beds and very nice staf.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Hervorragendes Haus - Sehr gutes Hotel, sehr freundlicher Empfang, sehr gutes Essen.
- klaus (8/5): oase in der nähe von jodhpur - sehr gepflegtes heritage hotel an einem kleinen see, angrenzendes dorf; 20 tolle reitpferde;
relaxte atmosphäre
