Guest Reviews
No tienen secador.
- Dianna (10/5): Convenient and comfortable - Location Nothing
- Kalandra (8/5): We love it here and will continue to return. - The staff here is awesome! Jennifer and Andrew at the desk are fantastic. The manager Tia was wonderful to communicate with when we left something behind in the room and they were able to hold it for us until we were back again a couple of weeks later. The price is amazing for the location. The people at the desk are willing to help with anything wether it be a AA battery for the teenager's shaver, shampoo, toothpaste, or a can opener when dinner doesn't quite go as planned, they were so helpful and accommodating. The outdoor grill area was out of propane which was only discovered after preparing all the hamburger patties and hauling everything outside. We were looking forward to using that outdoor space. I should have checked in advance or made a call prior to our arrival to ask if it was filled and checked regularly. No big deal. I always have a back up plan and we quickly turned it into sloppy Joe's on the room stove.

- Kalandra (9/5): Great location and great value with an awesome staff. - This place is GREAT for the price. The location is perfect to the Highlands Sports Complex and Cabela's. The manager Tia was fantastic to deal with when something was left behind in the room. Jennifer at the front desk was super helpful and just seemed like an awesome person. We will definitely be making this our spot to stay when my son competes in the area. Looking forward to taking advantage of that outdoor grill area next time we are there! I don't have anything negative to say about this place. I was slightly disappointed the first night when I didn't realize there was no shampoo in the room until after I was already in the shower, but a quick chat at the desk in the morning and they provided us everything we could have needed. If you don't see it just ask and they will take care of you.

- JOSEPH (8/5): -
- Uncle Jim (8/5): - Friendly staff gave good rate! Raised price of room after two weeks stay
- Nolan (6/5): It served the purpose. Cold breakfast both nights we stayed there! - Seems to a very nice looking place Seems to be more of a place for the middle easterns to live . Found that everything you can see standing up looks good…until you bend over or drop something and find that 50% clean is as good as it gets.
- Shawna (9/5): -
- Flaherty (10/5): -
- Melissa (1/5): -
- BuddyJoe (10/5): -
- Goode (7/5): Fair for the money - Close to shopping No hair dryer or shampoo in the room
- BuddyJoe (9/5): - It’s always nice and clean. Na
- Dalton (4/5): Cheap and convenient. The room itself was well kept and worked just fine for what we needed. Hopefully you don’t have to - It was quiet and convenient to downtown Wheeling. The hallways smelled terrible, like Chinese food and Mexican food mixed. There were bags of trash in front of nearly every door on our floor.
- Phyllis (10/5): - The room was comfortable and clean. The amenities were sparse. Overall no complaints. The area was quiet.
- Mary (10/5): - Quiet, clean & comfortable! Suburban Studios is our go-to hotel when we frequent the area. The location is super convenient to the area for shopping & dining. It’s located directly off the highway. Handicap parking has always been easily accessible for family members to use as well. The general manager was very friendly & helpful to our special requests, which was very important to us. She made sure checking in & out was an easy task. Much appreciation!
- William (2/5): - The room smelled like a wet dog and the floors were dirty. Opened the door walked in and immediately turned around, got back in my car and booked the Holiday inn express across the road
- Wayne (8/5): - The staff on our stay was extremely friendly and had amazing customer service. Apologized right away about the elevator being out of service, which was great to let us know. The staff that morning also let us check in early as we were in town visiting our son to watch his baseball game. This really helped us out. Thank you again.
- Amanda (6/5): - My room did not get cleaned unless I specifically asked. My neighbor blasted his TV all night, every night. The elevator broke down the last two days of my visit, and I had to move all of my belongings from the third floor to my car without a cart. Also, I believe the thermostat is motion-sensored, so I would roast in the middle of the night. Staff was friendly.
- Meghin (6/5): - I will say the staff was very nice. The room itself was pretty outdated, the floor had a bunch of stains on it and it smelled bad. We had requested more towels and never got them. Elevator smelled like hot tuna. The fridge was great and the amenities were good, AC was COLD (in a good way!) Overall not a bad experience, just could use some updating/maintenance.
- Monica (6/5): - Room smelled funky.
Room wasnt the cleanest but it was a quick stay.
- Christine (8/5): - It is pet friendly, they have a great area for dogs. I wish more people cleaned up after their dogs but it was still a great place to let our dog run. It was very quiet at night and everyone we ran into was kind.
- Mary (10/5): - This has become our favorite hotel for my family & I when we frequent the area. Since we stay a couple days, we appreciate the kitchenette area to prepare food.
- Stephanie (6/5): - This place has potential but the inside is not well maintained and does not feel clean.
- Michael (10/5): - Everything was great!! We'll stay again in December
- Fuleki (8/5): Room was clean but smelled bad - Very convenient and close to everything Decent stay for cost
- Kenneth (10/5): - The staff was really helpful
- Janardan (10/5): - This hotel is located in a very nice and attractive environment. Very spacious and convenient for all visitors.
- Michelle (2/5): Ugh... Ants everywhere - We checked in late at night, the woman was amazing. We ordered pizza, put in fridge, brought it back out in the morning, got a shower and ants all over our food
- Tosh (8/5): - The lady at the reception was very helpful. Our room had a strange smell as someone may have smoke. She changed our room and help with other stuff. The bed is very comfortable. The room comes with a kitchenette. Very useful.
- Christopher (8/5): -
- Matthew (10/5): - Nice and quiet clean and close to everything I would definitely recommend this to anyone and I will stay there again
- Michelle (6/5): - First room I checked into I could not stand the smell, had to switch rooms. The room I was switched to was fine.
- Gabriel (10/5): - Great place, kind employees, fresh coffee in the morning, a dishwasher full of cookware and clean and quiet rooms for a great price, I've spent a wonderfull weekend here, thank you Suburban !!
- Lynn (8/5): - Great location! Worth the money and cheaper than the other hotels in the area and only 5mins away from the mall area and eating restaurants!! Love it will be back! The staff was excellent!!
- Michael (2/5): - Dirty, furniture stained carpet stained
- David (5/5): Passable - The room was fine but poorly equipped. Even though it was advertised as an efficiency, it didn’t have plates, silverware, pans — or even a paper cup for water. It didn’t have shampoo or a hairdryer. It didn’t have an extra blanket.
- Mary (8/5): saved so much money - The overall cost was 5 stars, superb! During a summer heatwave, I was concerned about the air conditioning. But, it worked fabulous! in fact, there were times I had to adjust the temp bc I was getting too cold. There was recent flooding in the area so the hotel was accommodating to locals. I commend their efforts in providing help to those affected. Despite the busy rush, staff was extremely friendly & helpful. I wish I remembered her name but the light-colored hair girl at the front desk Friday @ check-in was very polite & professional. I appreciated her extra effort in accommodating my family & I (as well as other guests needs, at the same time) Much appreciated! My family & I cooked for each other taking turns. We had to share plates/cutlery bc our room wasn’t provided much. But we also didn’t ask for any bc I did bring some along. Being able to cook on site was a nice change from our recent hotel stays. We’ve been frequenting the area once a month lately… (2 rooms for 2 nights; Fri & Sat) we definitely plan on returning. The kitchenette was a plus for us… overall cost & location too. Thank you!
- David (9/5): Superb -
- Richard (3/5): Cannot recommend this location - Location and price The bugs in the bed and the shower hose was burst tendering the shower unusable. Lack of soap in the room and no facial tissues anywhere. I was told they were on order but had not arrived.
- James (10/5): - Love this place
- Alan (3/5): Poor -
- Andrew (3/5): WOULDNT STAY HERE AGAIN - Plenty of parking Very dirty. The front desk clerk had to WALK ME TO MY ROOM upon check in to ensure THERE WAS NO ONE USING THAT ROOM!?!? I barely slept because of the grime and the fear of someone else walking into my room.
- Stephen (10/5): - Friendly staff, older facility but kept clean, great price.
- Ron (9/5): Superb - Nice spot. Kinda near the city It was good
- Anthony (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kenneth (2/5): - The room smelled like mold and mildew I got very sick on the second day and I’m still sick
- Carl (6/5): Pleasant - Needed a room, they had vacancies. No personality at desk, desperatelyneeds updated. The matress was comfortable, again this hotel has seen it's better days and needs updated.
- Paula (8/5): - the hallways had an odor from garbage being put outside in the hallway even though signs were posted now to... all in all, it was a decent place that was very convenient. Nice hot water for showers.
- Stephen (8/5): - Staff are pretty good at helping where they can.
- Gina (7/5): Good - Close to everything friendly staff No ice available lol ice machines broken
- Jones (1/5): Will never book again. - No breakfast Our room smelled of weed and we tried to air it out for hours while we were out but came back and it was even worse. The parking was awful and they had trailers everywhere and even a guy in his semi took up 9 parking spots. Was not clean at all, stains and crumbs everywhere.
- Elizabeth (2/5): - I didn't stay. When I arrived the hotel seemed run down so I asked to check the room. The third floor hallway
- Melissa (6/5): Wouldn't stay again - I was disappointed in the room. There was no tissues, no amenities other than 1 bar of soap, the TV channel guide wasn't accurate and there was a constant dripping sound from the bathroom.
- Justin (2/5): - They are supposed to refund the room stay. Smelled like a pot party. My family left. Poor room was used and abused. Pretty sure the chair was a cuck chair.
- Raul (8/5): - For one night stay is perfect.
- Anna (7/5): It was a comfortable stay, close to shopping centre. - It was clean and comfortable. There was not enough utensils and pots.
- Amanda (10/5): Wonderful stay - Our stay was amazing, except for the kids Friday night and Saturday night that were running up and down the hallways. The staff was very friendly and the room was clean. The kids being loud was not on the employees. The front desk did what they could to get the situation under control. We would definitely stay here again in the future.
- Warren (4/5): Disappointing -
- Christine (6/5): - It was okay. Pretty clean but could use a refreshing. No ice machine and the one in the fridge was broken. Good place to rest for the night and the price wasn't bad.
- Cheryl (2/5): Very poor - No kitchenware, no coffee maker. Not as advertised
- Aaron (4/5): - Our door lock failed and the staff were unable to unlock it until the next morning. Luckily they had one free room left and let us sleep there for the night but we had no access to our personal belongings. Would not recommend staying here.
- Sheila (10/5): Staying there again in two weeks! - Location. Cost. Size of room.
- Stephen (4/5): - No hairdryer, no shampoo, no conditioner or soap. No luggage stand.
- Jonathan (8/5): Very good -
- Autumn (10/5): Exceptional -
- Samantha (10/5): Exceptional -
- Renee (8/5): - Because they accept pets, they should have certain rooms designated for guests with pets. The first room they gave me, smell of dog urine. I requested a different room and they were polite, and promptly gave me a different room which was cleaner, the furniture was less worn, and did not smell. Need to upgrade the pillows.
Coffee bar was stocked and pleasant.
Overall, if you are looking for a decent place to sleep, at a low amount. This is it. Staff were very pleasant !!
- Katie (3/5): I always liked staying here as it was very close to the highlands sports complex which was the reason for our stay, but - We stayed here last year and it was great! This year it seems to have taken a step back. Our room was overpowered by the smell of cigarettes and bad cologne. There was a large pool of water right inside the door which I assume came from the dishwasher that hasn’t been emptied. I found a large bug (centipede/water bug of some sort) in the bathroom. The side table connected to the wall next to the bed was very flimsy…looked like it was about to fall off the wall so I was afraid to put anything on it for fear it might break. There were no complimentary shampoo or conditioner just a small bar of hand soap.
On a good note though, the staff was very courteous and friendly and the lobby coffee was nice.
- MARSHA (2/5): - Our reservation was not correct upon arrival! They claimed Expedia sent it over incorrectly, so we were charged more for a room we never received.
- Anthony (10/5): Exceptional -
- TRACEY (4/5): - Had issues but staff fixed and was attentive and professional. Good beds but not clean. Furniture was stained elevator filthy and carpets not clean. Price was right but needs a deep cleaning.
- Mary (6/5): - Bed was very uncomfortable.
- Benjamin (10/5): - Fantastic location and price
- Buddyjoe (10/5): Exceptional -
- Brad (10/5): - Clean newer building!
- Janak (6/5): - Price is also not reasonable as Facilities
- Rachael (10/5): - Very clean, nice staff, and pet friendly!!!!
- Mark (6/5): - Fine for the property type.
- Julie (8/5): Very good - Great customer service.
- Donna (6/5): - The cost was low so you pay for what you get. There was everything you need in a suite, but no all was in the room. I asked for a coffee pot, a cleaning rag and disinfectant spray. I got them from the front desk no problem. Staff were nice and there's ample parking.
- Marco (1/5): Never again - Notting Everything
- Richard (8/5): Very good -
- Curvin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Verified traveler (6/5): Clean room to sleep for traveler - Hotel is just the basics. No shampoo or conditioner. No hair dryer. No dish soap for the kitchenette. Chair in room was stained. I was disappointed that the room rate on hotels.com went down after I booked my room. Clerk at front desk was very accommodating. She moved me to another floor because guests on my assigned floor were having a hallway party right by my door. Hot shower in morning. Bathroom was clean. Coffee in lobby was luke warm by 8 am. It was fine for the money.
- George (10/5): - Friendly staff. Great value for the price.
- Kaydince (10/5): Exceptional -
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Bed was comfortable. Room was clean. Had a kitchenette, which wasn't used but was very clean. Only stayed to sleep, didn't need any amenities, which this hotel didnt have. Only problem was the ice maker decided to make a horrible noise at 5:00am. Very easily pulled fridge out and unplugged it. Front desk was told at check and apologized twice and said they would have it looked at. Exceeded my expectation for the price!!!!! Will definitely stay again on the next trip to town, as long as there is availability. Thank you Suburban!!!
- Andrea (10/5): - The hotel was clean and easy to get to. The lobby was decorated pretty for christmas and smelled amazing! Front desk staff was nice, efficient and polite... i didnt feel like a burden to them at all like i have at other hotels!
- Autumn (10/5): Exceptional -
- Joanne (6/5): - A lot of things not working
- Bem (10/5): - Clean and quiet
- Oscar (8/5): - Ice machine was broken and host had no idea when it would be fixed
- Kellie (10/5): Exceptional - the breakfast was amazing, and the location couldn't have been more perfect. This was the best stay, and we will book again for sure. everything was perfect.
- Kim (4/5): - The room smelled from
- Galindo riano (8/5): - Good
- Margaret (8/5): - The staff were very friendly, helpful, and all around nice
