You put the mini fridge items out on the desk in the room. that is fine, but better you put them somewhere else as I had to move the tray to usethe desk to work. Perhaps put them in a cupboard and why not put in a mini fridge with better beverage selection in in it below a cupboard with the chocolate and crisps and such and the kettle and tea cups. this was annoying I had to move it all to work on my laptop and move it all back. Please make sure the desk area is clear of mini fridge items in any ay you choose

Please replace hanging baskets at front looking very scruffy and not in keeping with how fab the hotel is .... attention to detail is key. Biscuit jar in room needs cleaning out

Our suite room was ok, for the price I paid for a mid week stay i probably expected a bit more, dusty areas, large damp patch in the bay window, downstairs speaker was underneath our room so we could hear that till late and again from 6am the next day, late night drinkers in and out smoking underneath our window, yes it's a pub but if the cost was slightly less I probably wouldn't of minded so much.

Pug in sink not working. bathroom waste bin not emptied. Next day returned and room not serviced. Told "not another one". Shambles. Told manager would contact us on e-mail. 2 weeks passed and no contact. Wanted some form of compensation but nothing. BE CAREFUL here
- Colin (10/5): An excellent and tasteful place in beautiful grounds. - We had a superior double and it was a big room - overlooking the garden -comfy big bed - loads of 'honesty' stuff (chocolate etc) and a very well stocked mini bar. The room and the hotel/bar is very tastefully decorated. The outside consists of a lovely garden with outdoor furniture and a lake which is safely fenced off - lots of unusual ducks. Plenty of parking. This is your all original English country hotel and pub. We loved this place and won't hesitate to come back. Nothing - all good

I have stayed on many occasions in the last 6-8 weeks and the standard is consistent Food terrible as always. Have now resorted to eating MS food in my room as your chef is, at best, incompetent and at worst not caring less. Waitress lipping off to me when I said that my food was inedible.

- Cheryl Jackson (10/5): Great place. - The Worplesdon Place Hotel is ALWAYS reliably excellent. Staff... Especially both Josh's are friendly, professional and an asset to Young's. Location is close to both Guildford and Woking for an easy commute. Grounds....The hotel is situated in extensive, well maintained grounds. Pet Friendly.... and is truly dog friendly, which is very much appreciated. Food and drink.... The bar and restaurant is well supported all the time and has a good atmosphere. Food is consistently good and reasonably priced. Rooms are of Young's brand of high standard and well priced. I'm a happy repeat guest.

The room was very comfortable with a door opening onto the garden which is handy as a smoker. I was able to adjust the room temperature to my liking and the TV and its remote control worked properly. The Wi-Fi seemed a bit glitchy, dropping out a couple of times and the instructions in the welcome book point to an incorrect SSID. It would have been nice to choose what to include on the cooked breakfast. Drinks are very expensive. If raining, having a room only accessible by going outside would have been a problem.

- Traveler35166169706 (6/5): Avoid booking the cheaper "comfy" room if there's more than one person. - I felt more like I was staying in student accommodation than a hotel (Room 23). • Please consider installing a net or voile curtain on the window that looks directly into the opposite window. I understand the owner/manager may live there, but it made me feel uncomfortable having the curtains open for natural light. • The room was far too hot. I tried adjusting the radiator on all levels but it felt like a constant furnace. I couldn’t leave the window open overnight due to noise from the kitchen area, staff motorbikes, and early morning deliveries. Rooms overlooking the back of the kitchen may not be ideal for guests. • The bathroom window needs a thermal blind to stop cold air blowing in when using the toilet or getting out of the shower. It would also help with privacy from the houses behind when the bathroom light is on at night. I understand the owner/manager doesn't want to spend the money changing the windows. A thermal blind would help lots. • The room door needs better sealing. It constantly sounded like it was opening or moving, which made me uneasy. I ended up wedging my small suitcase under the handle because it felt like it might open. • The mattress and pillows need replacing, and the throw on the bed appeared to have a small stain that looked like blood or ketchup. • Only two caffeinated tea bags were provided. As someone who drinks a lot of tea, this was disappointing as there were about 10 sachets of coffee. I ended up stretching each teabag across multiple cups. • The wall between Room 23 and the next room needs better soundproofing. I could clearly hear the guest next door making numerous phone calls and snoring throughout the night. • A more comfortable chair would make it easier to sit and watch TV. • It would also be helpful to have a basic information folder in the room with hotel details such as meal times and general information. This could easily be laminated or wiped clean. • Finally, the room could benefit from a bit more personality — perhaps some brighter artwork or decoration. I had a boutique room three months ago which sadly had no heating on the night of 13th December (very cold night). It had been maintained two days prior but not rechecked. The manager provided a plug in radiator, however the water in the bathroom/shower was lukewarm. This was tested for Legionella whilst we enjoyed our Christmas party - it was recorded at a temp of 50.3. There was no offering of money off my next stay, due to unforeseen circumstances the day after arriving home I was unable to pursue this.

The decor is calm and attractive. The next morning I had breakfast which was great. I was happy with everything and will be looking forward to staying there again. There was nothing to dislike.

A good selection from the honesty bar and good prices. All the products I needed, including hairdryer shampoo and conditioner. Plenty of towels and pillows. The girl who checked me in was friendly and helpful, suggesting I could order room service then and she brought it at the time I asked for. I could hear the TV next door (more the volume than wall thickness) the bathroom was a little tired and not much surface space in either room for my stuff. My main bug bear was the small cups for tea/coffee, which was followed in the seminar I attended the next day, they are tiny, I would just have liked a mug provided as an option. There could have been a tray for the room service with condements (but it was nice touch that she brought it herself)

- kayeminson (6/5): 2 for 1 offer a great deal - Value wise it was great because we used their 2 nights for the price of 1 offer. Pub had plenty of food options and the food was very good, bar staff friendly but check in on a Friday night whilst the pub is in full swing made it near on impossible to hear the staff member checking us in. We were staying in rooms in a different building to the right of the pub, security light outside was on all night and distant fan noises too, but I always have ear plugs and a sleep mask. There was an 'open' wardrobe and the top shelf was thick with dust. Brownies a nice touch and the bed was comfortable.

Best stay i have ever experienced and great value for money along with fantastic staff and food what more could you wish for.cant wait to return in 2 weeks time .
- J5956PSjuliet (10/5): Amazing hotel - I am disabled so had a disabled room which was very roomy , fantastic shower room , the biggest king size bed I have seen . The room was very clean I could not fault it. We booked breakfast which was absolutely lovely and plenty of. The only downside for me was there was not enough choice on the menu for evening meals. But would rate this hotel 9/10 we would definitely stay there again.
- StephanieC4089 (4/5): Disappointing, unprofessional, not recommended - Check-in was in the pub, which was very noisy and it was actually quite hard to hear what the person was saying to me, Room was a little shabby, but it is a 3 star, so fine. There was a constant noise all night, like a quiet motor sound, which would amp up every so often and wake me up. Then the sound of loud dripping and clicking kicked in after 6am - ear muffs should be included. Terrible sleep on flat pillows and constant noise. No privacy blind on the window, which looked out onto the courtyard so we had to keep the heavy curtains closed at all times, one of which was slightly hanging off the rails so wouldn’t close properly. We were not advised that checkout was 11 am and when I looked in the welcome booklet it said 1 pm. Whilst having breakfast (a little after 11am) I was questioned about this by one of the staff members (who was very nice) only to find that there was an old lady in the room with my kids angrily lecturing them about why they were still there and who gave them permission. Her behaviour was aggressive and hervoice loud. I could hear everything her as they had called me. I am shocked that a member of staff would be allowed to do this to customers. I did complain to the GM but was entirely unimpressed with the weak response, which was a very flat, oh I’m sorry I’ll have a word. Unprofessional and aggressive behaviour from that member of staff. It seems that for those of you using Booking.com you must check out by 11 am, for those of you who booked direct then you get a 1 pm checkout. This was not made clear. This is such a negative review. I don’t want to make it any worse by posting the photographs of the room.
- stephanie (2/5): Disappointed and would never use again - Pretty property. Pub was lovely. Most of staff very pleasant. Good in pub very good. Didn’t inform us of 11am checkout and booklet in room said 1pm. I was questioned about this by a pleasant member of staff and rectified the issue only then to be called by my daughters who had an old aggressive lady having a go with them in the bedroom about why they were late checking out. I could hear her on the phone, lecturing them very loudly with an angry tone in her voice. This is incredibly unprofessional and entirely unacceptable. Lots of little things need addressing in the room but nothing major as it’s a 3 star. So disappointed and won’t ever go back.

What stood out most however, was the attitude of the staff, fun, attentive, hard working and always smiling. So rare to find these days so thank you for making the weekend special

- SusieL2706 (6/5): A bit disappointed - We booked a boutique room and were a bit disappointed at the size and cleanliness of the room. I suspect after a fairly recent refurb our room may have been one room originally but had been knocked into two to maximise profit. The bathroom was not fit for purpose as my husband at six foot plus really struggled fitting into the extremely tight shower. There’s no place for shampoo or shower gel apart from the shower tray and it’s dimensions made it nye on impossible to retrieve for use when needed. I got the impression the room had not been used in a while as it was very dusty, the curtains were hanging off and we found an old birthday card envelope in the bedside drawer. The water glasses had old lipstick stains on them and overall I didn’t think it was very good value for money. Having said all this the staff are brilliant and very welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. One lady staff member saw me struggling with the steep staircase to our room and very kindly advised me to book the one easy accessible ground floor they have on the property. I should have mentioned it at check in but I was exhausted and our reason for booking was I had hospital treatment scheduled the next day.
- valf695 (10/5): Comfy stay. - Fabulous - have stayed a few times now as I meet up with family and get to see my mum who is now 96 years old. I go with my daughter and our 2 dogs. The accommodation given is perfect as it’s got doors out to the garden and very clean. The room is of good size, decorated nicely and a gorgeous good sized shower room with rainfall shower. A dog bed was provided with doggie treats. The location is great with a large pond and ducks, great for our summer stays. We had a delicious Sunday roast and breakfast was tasty.

- Studio Zee (9/5): Super sympathiek en echt Engels hotel - Supervriendelijk personeel, de nieuwe kamers zijn prachtig, de bedden zalig en het ontbijt is heerlijk. Mooie omgeving, mogelijkheid tot zeer lekker en authentiek engels diner. Leuke plek, aanrader! De douche was heel erg klein, heel mooi en sympathiek maar redelijk klein. Misschien dat een zeeprekje op hoogte hier kan helpen.

I paid for a superior double and it was tiny. The worst shower - so small and did not drain. Could not bend to wash legs and feet and I’m a small person - claustrophobic

- Linda00A (8/5): A lovely Family Birthday Lunch - Had a lovely birthday lunch with all my family and dog and we were very well looked after by Kate and her team and the birthday complimentary glass was just a lovely gesture to the afternoon we spent at the Worplesdon Place. The Garden Room is spacious and we had room to relax and enjoy the views of the garden and lake and black swans. My husband and I stayed overnight and enjoyed a wonderful cooked breakfast the following morning and again we were in good hands with Kate who is very welcoming. It is so nice to have space and not have tables crammed together and the staff have time to look after their guests. My only small criticism lies with our room, room number one and the wafting cobwebs hanging from the ceiling which I am sure is only a temporary issue. This is about our seventh visit and we will be back again with the family in the near future.
- mat (9/5): - lovely pub and location room was freezing, I checked in late and the heating went off at 11 so I couldn’t warm the room up as the radiator had been turned off prior to check in.
