Rooms were clean. our room also had open to sky bathroom, that was a nice experience. We went during holi festival. For holi they had made good arrangements for holika dahan. Also during dhuleti they had installed rain showers, music and refreshments. Food we had taken AP plan. Buffet spread was nice and taste was good. Staff in restaurant, at reception or room service were good. Polite and humble. overall we had good experience during our stay.

Food - Excellent Local Cuisine, the staff is local and it was one of the best authentic (in fact wouldn't be a stretch if I called it best Kolambi Bhath and Kombdi Vade - I have had, I don't know what the magic was the Kolambi Bhath was amazing consistency - neither too wet and sticky like khichdi or dry like Biriyani - IT WAS JUST PERFECT !!!!! - The prawns were cooked to perfection - most people make it rubbery - it was just right, soft juicy without any of the fishy after taste) - in addition to this a great Buffet Spread, Great chefs cooking up delicious dishes, Great VALUE for money 2. The people - The staff and our experience has been so great , thanks to the following people (if I have missed anyone pls excuse) and a few photos The best part was the Excellent food (local cuisine like Kolambi Bhath and Kombdi Vade), and sense of hospitality of the dining room staff and all the chefs, overall the the staff was excellent in all departments (check-in, pool, room-cleaning) but the stand-out was the dining room staff - they were working almost entire day - 3 meals and did everything with outmost care, attention and warmth - and their sense if going beyond duty was great, Standout team members were Janhavi (dining room) and Abhijit (from Captain Cook's bar) - both are stand-out topper & Budding Chef Sai (of Kombdi Vade fame :) ) Apart from this all the team members were hard working and I interacted with a lot of team members who were very helpful and always ready with warm service - special mention - Vignesh, Ramila, Ajay & Kalpesh - Vignesh was terrific ......All the chefs were spectacular - I talked to all of them and got their views - Chef Subhash, Chef Rahul, Chef Surendra, Chef Sai (winning our hearts with spectacular Kombi Vade), Chef Rohit, Chef Jagadeesh (armed with the terrific Bread Pakodas) All these guys are tirelessly working with such attention to detail and caring and warmth. I really am very grateful to these guys for ensuring that we are taken care of. A big thanks to all of you for making our visits special. A word to my fellow Travelers, please be kind and patient, pls remember - the staff is on their feet for 12-14 hour shifts, running around to make our stay comfortable, it takes a lot. A small appreciation and smile goes a long way. 3. Rooms - Room Cleaning - There was one lady - I did not get her name (Very very impressed with her sense of dedication and attention to detail) 4. Location - Roads are not so great, but Great Resort Maintenance and upkeep - although its little old now and rooms were smelling musty, one of the rooms had a damp smell and I suspect the AC vent water was not draining - we once had the same issue in home ac and this was exact smell - BUT staff is still very active and resort maintenance is good 5. Safety - well managed and all aspects of safety taken care of esp. people travelling with kids 6. Predictability - flawless execution by staff from Start to finish, Club Mahindra Quality 7. User experience - the user experience part is beyond expectations. During holidays people have so high expectations of a flawless experience that even a minor hitch can lead to a sense of dissatisfaction, so far in my experience - has not happened anywhere - kudos to the staff. Dining room gets crowded in peak hours, so go early and enjoy a relaxed meal, staff is also not rushed and will be able to cater better The only minor issue we faced was Pool was a little crowded because of corporate bookings and people were not following pool regulations and they were not listening to staff at all , even though pool staff tried their best.

We would definitely love to visit again - *Excellent venue for reunions and group events* We hosted our 50th class reunion at Tropicana Resort, Alibaug, and the experience was outstanding. The resort is green, spacious, and very well maintained, making it ideal for large group gatherings. Rooms were comfortable, food was consistently excellent, and the arrangements for music, AC hall, and beach visit were seamless. The staff was courteous, efficient, and always helpful. Special appreciation to the resort manager for his personal involvement and smooth coordination, which allowed us to enjoy the reunion without any worries. Highly recommended for reunions, celebrations, and corporate or family group events.

• shrey38 (4/5): Not worth it: Not recommended - If I have to review in two words: Not recommended. It is just not recommended due to multi layered reasons. 1. They are charging as much as Radisson or Novotel or Taj. The services and maintenance of the property is not even nearby to them 2. ⁠We booked the property directly and not through any partner website and still lot of information wasn’t provided 3. ⁠It’s a big property but no mode of transport for travel within the property. No provisions at all for the elderly 4. ⁠They sell you the room category which is the norm. But they don’t mention that the main property rooms are only for club Mahindra members and not for the general public 5. ⁠All the rooms are in 2 storeyed buildings but there is no lift. They did not bother to mention this at the time of booking. 6. ⁠Executive rooms are in villa which are far away from all the amenities and again no provision for going to and fro 7. ⁠They offered us a meal package of Rs. 14000 for 4 meals for 2 people which is definitely expensive. Although this can be saved altogether thanks to Zomato 8. ⁠Rooms are not as clean and maintained. House keeping and room service takes forever with at least 2-3 follow up calls. Attaching dirty floor n broken drawer images which is not yet attended to. Due to this smaller but high impacting reasons they have actually spoiled the holiday mood as my mom who is almost 70 is unable to walk and climb stairs. They aren’t trying to accommodate anything even though we tried reasoning out that mom has had knee surgery and it will be difficult for her. We weren’t informed earlier about it . Yes writing the review while at the property as that’s all we could do after this experience. We don’t have a choice for finding an alternative. When you are charging at par with the best in the industry, the services also needs to be there or else ur just looting people of their money.

• ROHITBANSAL_1 (8/5): Good Hotel and definitely can be better - Recently stayed for the first time with Tropicana Resort at Alibaug which is a decent hotel around half an hour drive from Mandwa jetty. We stayed in deluxe room and room was spacious with direct access to pool and food spread was good with very limited option of starters in veg. (only 1 starter) though service at restaurant during dinner & breakfast was excellent as staff was very nice and cooperative. Stay can be better if the room was serviced properly at check-in as basic amenities were not placed in the room like water bottles, sleepers, toilet roll, hand towels, tooth paste etc , swimming pool was very dirty & insects and dirt was floating with us, no one picks the phone at reception as we could not able to log in with the password announced to us at check-in and they gave different password later and also coffee (cappuccino) at the restaurant was very very bitter and we could not able to drink. Reception staff lacks empathy & professionalism as we asked for water bottles from the bell boy who escorted us but he did not send the water bottles too for which we have to wait for 45 mns with senior citizen & kid and also room phone wire was coming out again & again and we have to struggle with the fan which works with the remote. Overall the stay was good.
• TrippingSam (8/5): Restful Family Stay with Great Food, Poolside Rooms, and Attentive Staff, Ideal for a Relaxing Break - We had a very restful family stay at Club Mahindra Tropicana Resort in December. Our room was located right next to the pool, which turned out to be a big highlight- especially for the kids, who spent a lot of time enjoying it during our stay. The food was tasty and well prepared, and the staff throughout the resort were courteous and welcoming. A special mention to the chefs, Mr. Rana and Mr. Akshay Naravane, who showed great attention to detail and were very mindful of our family’s dietary needs. Their personal touch really enhanced our dining experience. One area where the resort could improve is the availability of family-oriented activities. Compared to other Club Mahindra resorts, the options here felt limited, and adding more structured activities for families and kids would be a welcome enhancement. Overall, it was a calm, comfortable, and restful stay with the family, and we left feeling relaxed and well taken care of.

Their professionalism, skill, and incredibly attentive service made the entire session a highlight of my trip. This resort is the best place to stay in Alibaug. Located at a convenient distance from Kihim, Varsoli and Alibaug beaches. On top of all this, I will specially mention the food. Hats off to the chefs and team for the efforts they are putting in to cater such delicious food and such great variety in every meal of the day. Fresh ingredients and herbs, good quality of oil, variety of beverages and kids friendly options available. Good services by the reception and restaurant staff. Ajay Gaikwad assist very well at restaurant. All staff members are co operative, polite and prompt in services. Club house facilities need to be added with more indoor games with increase in space too. Overall a good place to visit.

• Manisha1104 (4/5): Disgusting place ... - we had booked this through resort through online portal for 24th october to 26th October , after arriving at the resort we found total chaos , 2 families were fighting about the settlement of bills / wrongly billed , having frog in the room which did not gave us good vibes . after waiting for about 20 mnts the desk staff informed us they do not have any booking in our name and should contact the portal . we were there with our 8 year old kid who was tired and exhausted , yet they did not show any empathy or made any efforts to help us . we even offered to do the fresh booking with their staff but she flatly denied and was very rude , when tried calling her again Prathibha bargode ( staff ) kept on disconnecting the call which was absolutely unprofessional and against hospitability ethics . after speaking to the poratl we understood that Tropicana cancelled our booking for better deals and did not even informed the portal about it . we will never recommend this place to anyone

• Dilipnamb (10/5): A RAINY SEASON EXPERIENCE AT CLUB MAHINDRA TROPICANA ALIBAUG MAHARASHTRA - In the month of Sept 2025 we set off from Pune to Alibaug for a 2 night/ 3 Day stay at Tropicana Resort which has been taken over by Club Mahindra.It took us 2 hrs to drive from Pune ,Initially along the Express way past Lonavala to Khapoli which was real smooth.Thereafter via Khapoli-Pen "State Highway" we experienced a pretty rough road drive with lots and lots of Pot Holes ,speed breakers.This part was taxing. on arrival around 1.30 pm we found a good change as the staff was all ready with rooms without waiting or delay. The next 2 days was spend with a visit to the beach and the Kolaba fort which is close to the beach and you can experience a Tonga ride over water! Over all a very satisfying experience.

Good rooms, good ambiance, pool is a bit small but since there wasn't too much of a crowd, we were able to enjoy. I wish they do something about the approach road which is an obstacle course

• Departure00253711283 (4/5): Bad experience - I got room number 3102, whose bathroom and outside shower were not working, service people did not fix it despite repeated requests, there was no exhaust in the bathroom. The smell was coming in the entire room, the shower area was not partitioned. On the last day 14th, towels were not changed. Room service people came at 4 pm. Toiletries were given only once. No one was responsible at the reception, tea and coffee were not available in dinner. The water of the pool was also dirty.

Visited as a member of Mahindra Club whi I believe have affiliated with Tropicana Resort but did not find the name of Mahindra anywhere. Large area and good size Hotel units. Large swimming pool. Breakfast amd Meals are very expensive at this resort in a place like Alibaug where many other good places are available to try local dishes particularly sea food No provision to wash the cars even by yourself or the driver which upsets the mood .
• leisurenluxury (10/5): Fun family outing with upgrade surprise - We wanted a quick mid-week nightover stay to visit the beach with family and zeroed in on Tropicana. We had booked 2 of the basic rooms and were happily upgraded to a private pool villa at time of check-in. A pleasant surprise that ensured we could use the pool as well as the close-by Kihim beach even though we were staying only 1 night. The villa was grand but needs better maintenance. Food (we only had breakfast) also can do with more variety. Kihim beach was fun as it was barely populated being mid-week. All in all a fun outing thanks to Tropicana.

Property spreading over 12 acres with about 32 HUs , 10 Studio rooms and 14 villas , swimming pool, restaurant, Spa centre and warm reception.

• Lishagosavi (6/5): Average property with good pool and large rooms - Best part is the front office staff and their assistance that keeps it well while at the property. James, the front office manager is excellent and a true custodian of hospitality services. James made our stay comfortable and fun for the children. Good resort with nice pool. Average facilities and upkeep. The property is little old. No lifts to climb to level 1 or 2, no rooms service after 10.30, all fnb closes after this time. Average food. Surprisingly no sealed bottled water, its on chargeable basis. Not event 2 bottles per day is complimentary.

I must say, Dhaba cook delicious food but here below average food quality. They should appoint specialized cook who can give best tatse to clinary. 2nd thing, They don't educate bar tender how to pour liquor. They should first pour 30 peg but one of bar tender pour 90 peg at first and don't ask as guest is new may forget.

Think before you book pls .
• PriyangPatel (2/5): Not Recommended at All - WILL NEVER REFER TO ANYONE We booked for 28-30 December 2 rooms. 1. It’s very old property and needs a serious redo. 2. KIDS : If you have kids there are no games for kids except if you want to pay for every round of games. Even outdoor game is not accessible except one broken chess board. 3. ELDERLY :if u have elders or have trouble with stairs their restaurant is on 2nd floor without lift/elevator so be careful about this. 4. FOOD: is below average with limited options. 5. HYGIENE: is not maintained properly and you will find dirt everywhere. The property is of @clubmahindra but I think club Mahindra is aware of this problems and try to avoid their branding in property at most of the places. It’s a big let down for us. If you are planning Alibaug you will definitely get better option against the price Tropicana Charges.

Serviceless. - we were a group of 9 and we booked a 4 bedroom villa. the villa was dirty. in the dining hall there was no a/c. they didn't even provide a water bottle in the 4 bedroom villa. there ws a kitchen and it was so dirty. it didn't have anything. everything was broken. we cut the trip short and ran out of there. it was horrendous.

• kinjal1491 (8/5): A cozy stay in Alibag - Visited this place in August last week and found it to be pretty good. Fully managed by Club Mahindra now. The rooms are quite spacious and all rooms have a pool facing balcony. The Villas are amazing too for larger groups. All the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The full board meal plan was worth it and the food was good in terms of variety as well as taste. The only thing missing is a good games room. Overall we had a great experience at Tropicana Resort and Spa for 2 days.
• jagdi (2/5): Pathetic service no water in toilet - Pathetic service I am on room 308 currently, since morning 7am no water in toilet, complaint times to the concerned department, but no response till 11.40am, went to reception some pathetic answer, Mr Austin the most unprofessional person in this resort, no one knows what to do and who is responsible person. They rate this resort 4 star but basic need of water in toilet is not available, where even a small hotels they know the basic requirement. So please think twice before booking in this resort.

• Vacation01963591115 (2/5): Pathetic experience at Tropicana Resort. - Horrible rooms, there is absolutely no upkeep meant. The bathrooms stink so bad that we had to spray a perfume every time we entered. No toiletries were provided in the room. Basic two bottles of water were missing and when asked they said it was chargeable. Overall it’s a pathetic resort and not worth a single penny. The crowd is horrible, staff is not courteous. It is the epitome of being horrible and gross.

Staff is courteous and responsive - Tropicana resort Alibaugh has been taken over by club Mahindra and they are in the process of upgrading it. A new restaurant is being built in the lawns as the current restaurant is on second floor and inconvenient. Happy hub will go in place of old restaurant. A new building with studio apartments and new swimming pool is being built in a plot adjacent to current resort with access to the present resort. Present rooms around swimming pool are slightly dated. However with new developments outlined it should become a resort with club Mahindra standards. The villas continue with the original owner.
• Odyssey16170157988 (8/5): Good resort, needs improvement in services. - We Faced several issues. The intercoms in both rooms 5101 and 5102 we're not working, They were repaired the next day. The TV remote in 5101 was not working and it was replaced the next day. The toilet flush stopped working on the last day and was repaired after we called. The SPA, Pool , Bar and the restaurant were good and service was also good There were no signs on the road ,forcing us to take a longer route to reach the resort. Food, bar and Spa were excellent. The restaurant is on 2 nd floor making it difficult for old people to climb up.

Only thing is it is not senior citizen friendly... My grandfather has to alone in the room for dinner and breakfast as the restaurant is in the 2nd floor with no lift.. Which is surprising because a installing a lift will be so easy for them.. Also the prices are a bit steep!!.. Overall good experience

No food options besides restaurant.

Our luggage and ourselves, had to go in the rain. No proper map was provided for the 12 acre site. On account of this, we could not see most of it. This is a resort, we should be able to know the various locations.

The rooms are pool facing and if ypu enjoy swimming then you can choose room at ground floor. The food quality is just average and resort really need to work on that
• Soni (8/5): Good resort close to the beach - The resort is very serene and beautifully located. The rooms are very pleasing, property clean and with good amenities. The staff was very courteous and knowledgeable. The restaurant breakfast buffet had very good ample choices and tasty. The regular restaurant serving has limited menu choice. They have large and clean pool (no separate pool for kids). Amenities like Library and club room are available for guests. I would definitely recommend this place and would stay here again. Just few improvements: 1) Good road signs to direct to the property. 2) Restaurant needs more menu choices and prompt service 3) Room service is very slow 4) More entertainment for the guest (organized evening programs or activities for kids)

One more addition is the total irresponsible and double standard service attitude.....Had ordered ice box at 5:30pm and was told ICE is not available, after another 45Mts, seen ice been served to other customers.....again checked for ice, they told machine is breakdown and can't serve ice.....this is absolute ridicule... We been told swimming pool timings are 8am too 8pm and were asked to vacate at 8:15pm...very next day here were 6ppl at pool till 10pm, upon checking with executive, been told, there been no restrictions....

• K (8/5): Entspannung und Verpflegung super - Ich war vom 23.3.-29.3.2014 mit meiner Freundin im U Tropicana. Es liegt ein wenig abgelegen aber ideal um den Großstadtlärm zu entkommen und einfach mal abzuschalten. Das Frühstück war immer super und die auf dem Menü am Abend angebotenen Speisen ebenfalls. Der Pool war super sauber und immer für eine Abkühlung gut. Das Zimmer wurde täglich gereinigt und der Komfort war super. Das Personal immer freundlich und zuvorkommend. Ich komme wieder, falls es die Urlaubsplannung zu lässt.
• Sam (8/5): Good Management & a friendly staff = NICE HOLIDAY - STAFF WAS VERY NICE. IT WAS A RELAXING PLACE TO GO TO. The only negative thing was THE WIFI DID NOT WORK AND I CHOOSE THE PLACE BECAUSE IT SAID HIGH SPEED INTERNET ACCESS - but in fairness to them they found a way to get me access for 30 mins so i could check in with my office in the US. It would have been a perfect vacation if we had internet access on the wifi for the duration of our stay. That was the only negative. Its a well run place, with a wonderfully warm staff and they did try to solve issues as well as they possibly could. The food at the hotel is decent and resonably priced and the chef is very accomodating. We will go back and we have recommended it to our friends.

They do not serve alcohol in the hotel - so you need to carry your own supplies if you want to have a drink. Food is a mixed experience - they ran out of some items at breakfast! and the biryani is awful. Having said that their starters and fish curry are delicious.Overall service needs to be sharper with the staff being more conversant in English. This property has the potential to be a very nice getaway.

• akshay (8/5): nice resort for a 2 day getaway - the resort is a nice place to relax and rejuvenate. our room was on the ground floor which made it easy for us to use the pool.. there were cycles for all age groups. this made it a fun experience to explore the resort even for my three year old daughter. the spa was good.. many facilities were under construction.. but we had a nice experience overall..
• Rids (8/5): Hotel for relaxation - Hotel facilities was good and it was clean and neat but the staff was disappointing. Staff was less so we had to call them twice or thrice for water or towels. Food was strictly okay not that good. No other options around that area so had to rely on hotel food. Please carry some snacks with you. Not that big property. The main USP of the hotel is the swimming pool. Enjoyed toe stay but it would be more memorable if the staff and food would be great.

• Graden (8/5): Excellent Resort - We stayed at Utropicana on 11-Jan-2014. Was a wonderful experience. The Manager, Muneesh was very welcoming and ensured we had a smooth checkin. The rooms allocated to us in the new wing on the ground floor open onto a lawn leading to the pool. Was awesome. The sitouts around the resort are well planned and well maintained. Must say was impressed. The lunch buffet served was nice and tasteful. Would recommend the buffet, being economically priced. Food menu for a-la-carte is a bit less on choice. Would want to see more choice on the menu. The only blot on this awesome experience was that room service was not contactable from around 7:30 in the evening till around 9. Neither the reception nor F&B manager could help us with this. That aside, everything else was simply superb and had an nice weekend. Will definitely revisit.
