Guest Reviews
- Guest (10/5): - It was private I do wish they had chairs outside the door like in the pictures
- Jeanette (8/5): -
- Anthony (5/5): - The closest to me. Can't get my porno's on the tv.
- Anthony (7/5): -
- Laurel (10/5): Clean, comfortable and convenient. Owners delightful!! - Very clean and comfortable - and very close to my friend’s home. Mattress was a bit soft and uncomfortable.
- Anthony (5/5): - How close it was. There were somethings that didn't work.
- ELENA (5/5): - Room was clean. Friendly host. Easy check-in Room was old and shabby. Poor sound isolation. Sink faucet wasn't working.
- Cara (10/5): -
- Shannon (10/5): -
- Shane (10/5): Wonderful stay! - Extraordinary people are making it a lot easier to stay in a respite. Drafty
- Jarlath (8/5): -
- Brian (7/5): Nice Cozy stay and close to stores Gas and Food - Went white water rafting for the 2nd year in a row and stayed here both times. The first time the lady at the front desk was very nice and informative about the rafting trip, This time she was not there and her nephew was there in her place. He to was informative about the rafting as he just went recently . Hade a good conversation with him about traveling and found out he lives in my home city .Rooms are good enough for the weekend could use a little TLC but for the price everything was Good. Will stay again next year or anytime we're back out that way and need a place to stay. No complaints
- Richard (8/5): -
- Harry (8/5): - Very friendly atmosphere and location. Front desk was very friendly
- Ed (10/5): -
- Jones (10/5): -
- Daniel (9/5): Great Value - The location is beautiful and very convenient. The bed wasn't comfy. It needed a mattress topper or something.
- Beglinger (9/5): -
- Barbara (8/5): - La ubicación. Los vecinos del #8 hicieron ruido hasta las 12:00pm, y se levantaron a las 6:00am.
- Gary (10/5): Perfect spot for our perfect occasion - Very quiet, even though he was close to the freeway, the room was very clean but small. The area of the hotel is in is extremely gorgeous. The staff is very rude about my service animal asked a lot of questions. I guess he didn’t know there’s a federal law that you can do that, but I did not mind answering them but still he had to call someone or before he gave me my key. He wanted me to pay $25 For my service animal. I told them requirement by the federal law that you cannot discriminate against them basically the whole thing.
- Hannah (6/5): - Overall, it was an OK stay for one night, small room, not a lot of accommodations. For $130 for one night is pushing it though. The room was fairly clean, but smelled heavily of cleaning materials. Owner also called me the day of my reservation and asked me to send my credit card over email which is not a good approach. Lots of homeless nearby as well.
- Judith (6/5): - For the amount of money that this motel cost, it was disappointing. There were no hangers or hair dryer until the office was contacted. There was no place to put suitcases except the floor. The soap was the size of a silver dollar. There was no "service needed/no service needed" tag for door. Had to have staff come to room to show how to use temperature control remote. Our room was in a section of the motel where all the workers were staying-so lots of trash, boots drying out, large trucks, etc. And the "Free Breakfast" consisted of the coffee in our room and a packaged sweet roll in the office.
We would not stay here again.
- DAVID (6/5): served my purpose - Traffic noise 20 hrs a day
- Sean (1/5): The owners should not be in the hospitality business as they know nothing about it. - They had a pool. Never got to use it Black mold and water under the carpet in room 18. When I brought it to the owners attention they got defensive and blamed me. I was in a nicer hotel (the historic Cary house) within an hour. Avoid this motel like the plague.
- Pam (4/5): You get what you pay for - Staff was very kind and pleasant Room was very old and furniture was old the drawers were not clean. You could feel the springs in the bed
- kara (9/5): -
- Angela (8/5): -
- RAMONA (10/5): - Shower head water was amazing so great of pressure.
- Ann (8/5): - I loved the location and the room was comfortable.. The staff were accommodating and pleasant. It isn't fancy or bougie, but it was perfect for me and my travels. Everything was just right
- James (8/5): - Chose this hotel as a place to spend the night that's close to where we were coming to see the local races. Place is a bit dated but it's very well kept and clean. The staff that owns the place is a couple that were on site. They were friendly and nice. Would recommend as a good place to lay your head for the night if you need a inexpensive place to stay.
- Irene (8/5): - Accommodating friendly/owner staff
- Ana (8/5): -
- Alisha (10/5): Nice stay - Our stay was very good. The place is family run and is very friendly. This our second stay with them and will be a returning customer.
- Cody (7/5): adequate - Simple clean comfortable room A little hard to check in, receptionist didnt hardly say a word to me
- Sandy (8/5): - It is in the heart of apple hill. Easy access from the freeway and easy to find. A clean older motel with a good bed and remodeled bathroom.
- mary (8/5): - Great place. A minute from Apple Hill
- colin (7/5): Adequate - Rooms big Dirty bathroom floor.
Dirty window, small cockroaches in bathroom
- Rebecca (10/5): -
- McClanahan (10/5): Great, easy, fun! - Clean accessable big parking lot safe affordable economical courteous friendly Some rooms are a bit small for more than 1person
- Quinn (4/5): none - none small, shower was hard to work.
- Josie (4/5): - The bed was so old and boken down i kept rolling out of it. Terrible nights sleep. Otherwise it was a good hotel. Staff was great. Dont stay in room 18!
- Wiewel (9/5): Superb -
- Breton (10/5): The hosts are very accommodating & we enjoyed our time. - It was very clean and in a great location. There was plenty of room for our dog to roam.
- Jessica (10/5): Clean, quiet - Very clean and quiet. Polite front desk. Perfect for a little get away that won't break the bank
- Moquete (6/5): Pleasant - Proximity to my family's location The room smelled lime pure cigarettes. Very strong smell.
- Zechariah (10/5): - It was a nice stay
- Elaine (9/5): Felt very safe in a quaint, quiet atmosphere. - Clean, easy access to freeway and close to downtown. Rooms are very small.
- Anne (9/5): Superb - The staff is very friendly. This property is a good value for its location.
- Marlene (7/5): Good -
- Yvonne (6/5): - If you're looking for luxury, this is not the place for you. The rooms are TINY. The carpet and furnishings are completely old and outdated, and the rooms reek of old cigarette smoke. The bed is really hard and so are the pillows. There's also the bonus of having some resident crack heads in the room next to you, there's a sign taped to the door telling you so. The floors in the bathroom were filthy, i used a towel to wipe up some water, and towel turned black. Also there as no breakfast as advertised, and the ice machine didnt work If the place were cleaned up, carpet ripped out and replaced with LVP and old furnishings tossed, it could be a really cute inn to stay at. The price was good and it was located close to my destination. The ower/staff very friendly. But to have to climb over the bed to get to the bathroom is a lottle ridiculous.
- Jeffrey (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ronald (6/5): Should have stayed at the Cary House - Reasonably priced, freeway close east to get to and from. The quaint sign from a classic motel is the only thing quaint. The room is just ok, slight smell of stale old cigarette smoke. Value based motel.
- Jeffrey (10/5): Exceptional -
- Monica (5/5): Passable -
- Lan (10/5): - The place quiet, easy parking and safe.
- Markfish_999 (8/5): Very good - Plush towels
- Jess (4/5): Disappointing -
- Norma (6/5): - Low budget hotel - you get what you pay for. It was clean, adequate furnishings and the manager was super friendly and helpful.
- Donna (6/5): - Looks pretty run down and the rooms are very small but clean and the parking lot was well lit at night. The bed was VERY firm.
- Angel (10/5): Exceptional -
- Patrick (10/5): - Great host
- professorl358 (2/5): Warning do not stay here. - The worst place ever. Hair in the bed, wet bathroom floor on arrival. No TV working that is. No wifi. It claims all this stuff, but it should be condemned! To charge close to a really nice room, it's disgusting! Dirty old carpet, really old 4th hand furniture. If it weren't for my husband being exhausted I certainly would rather stay in the truck! All places were sold out, but I should have been worried when not but a few cars in the lot. The TV turned on, but took for ever for the show to come on only to freeze a few seconds later, then turn off and show an error or not available at this time! Very disturbing and disappointing. I'm so mad and disgusted I don't even think I can sleep. Please heade warning ⚠️ 🙏 do not stay here... its certainly not worth it, maybe a 35.00 room what ever that might be like and even at that cheap price, I would not want to stay here, they charged 98.00 nothing worked. I wouldn't even want to take a shower here. I even see where they say free breakfast?? Where? Would you even want to eat it! I want to go to the office to complain 😕 but husband is fast asleep, I can't find the room card key. I checked the "FAKE PHONE" THAT ISN'T EVEN CONNECTED!!! I was going to call the front office to complain using their phone that don't work! I really can't believe this! It's awful! I think i'm going to go out and sleep in the truck!
- Higgins (5/5): Passable - It was difficult to arrange to get my deposit back early. In the future I will pay the deposit by credit card instead of cash so that I can check out early. They could not arrange to give me back a cash deposit until 10:00AM.
- Javier (2/5): - Thanks
- Caryl C (10/5): - For the price it is very clean and comfortable. Only complaint is that the pillows were very uncomfortable and the heater is really noisy:)
- Shaun (7/5): Good -
- Mallory (8/5): Clean room, nice people. Two exits from Downtown Placerville. Good price - Breakfast was only a packaged sweet pastry. Coffee maker in room
- Edward (10/5): - Convenient clean
- Wess (8/5): - This is not a bad hotel, the comforter on the bed takes you bad to the 80s so it has that nostalgic charm, but the place is very clean and rooms are in a great renovate condition new paint, and so on. Bathrooms are nice and big and clean as well. dont let the exterior of this place fool you, for a motor inn, it is 8.5/10
- Robert (6/5): It was adequate for the purpose. - coffe was good. Outside lights shone through curtains and into bathroom
- Andrew (7/5): Neighboring Motel - The staff was nice, room was clean and didn't smell. Wasn't the most comfortable, springy cheap mattress, nowhere to sit, not as represented (neighboring motel), limited or non matching photo
- Carr (7/5): Good - It was convenient, and was cozy Owner was worried I'd smoke in the room. I received a phone call 7 minutes from entrance to room. And while only a friendly reminder, I was asked no smoking in room, and no animals. I did happen to notice the security cameras pointing directly at my parking location. I was smoking a cigarette gathering belongings and kindly putting cigarette on ac unit to walk into room. A little trust can be the difference between great, and just ok. I was dirty, as I had been camping outside. I felt a little surveillance had been pulled on me, and i did not appreciate it. I was with my 13 yr old son. Judgment on personal appearance is still discriminatory. I came in peace and showed respect for the rules
- Javier (10/5): - Thanks for everything
- Daniel (10/5): - Great stay
- Marc (10/5): - Great location, staff was amazing.
- Cristina (10/5): Would definitely come back here if I have to. - I loved that it was very clean, bed, towels, bath. Everything was set up really nice. At least for my husband and I as a couple the place was great. Just the unlocking the door gave me a bad time but I just probably didn’t get the hang of it 😅
- Barbara (7/5): Wine Tasting Stay - close to hwy, Placerville and Camino
ice machine
clean room small room
bright light in bathroom from outside
- Debbie (4/5): Ok for the night - Although room was clean a paint touch up would do wonders. Markings on walls. The towels were thin. Had to move fridge to plug it in
Cleaning people knocked on the door at about 8:45-9 am which was disturbing check out is at 11 am
Able to park directly in front of room
- Douglas (6/5): - They said the door "is a little sticky". No, it’s a big problem. Every time opening and closing the door was a major hassle.
Staff were friendly and helpful.
- Michael (7/5): Pleasant and Friendly, will stay again when passing thru the area. - Very Clean The outdoor areas could use some amenities.
- Russell (10/5): Exceptional -
- Adrián (5/5): Passable -
- Siano (8/5): Very good -
- Peter (10/5): Exceptional -
- Janice (10/5): - Very friendly and welcoming, we hav stayed here before and will stay here again.
- Summer (1/5): Bad - Was shocked on the door walking into the hotel room not okay
- tom (6/5): - It’s an okay place for what it is, but the TV stopped working and the owner couldn’t fix it while I was staying there, and after making coffee, and just before drinking it, I noticed that there were ants floating on the top of the coffee. So,…
- Tim (8/5): Very good -
- Samuel (2/5): - Bed was warped, hard, and really, really old. Holes in the paper thin walls. Windows didn't close fully, neither did the door. No towels. They charge a lot and are an ultra cheap hotel. Really wish I'd paid the extra $30 for the one down the road.
- Claudia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Very small, older lodge, mattress not comfortable, no breakfast only wrapped pastry.
- Pam (10/5): - Close to wineries, town services, and restaurants, yet away from the hustle and bustle.
- Baker (6/5): Pleasant -
- Robert (8/5): Clean vintage - Perfect clean vintage hotel we had to ourselves.
- Jason (10/5): - Easy on easy off of the highway. Customer service was impeccable.
- Claypool (9/5): Business bootcamp down the road. All I required and it exceeded my expectations. Very nice motel! - Comfortable bed and nice shower.
- Ian (4/5): - Very Basic

- Robert (4/5): Disappointing -
