Only negative was that we was in the loft room and although a fan was provided it was very warm getting ready and to sleep in! Would definitely stay again just not in the loft room in the summer months!

Room ok and lovely sea view with a small balcony, but the bathroom was tired and shower not great. We had a double and a single in the room, so perfect for my daughter and I. But great position for the esplanade, beach and town centre. If basic, clean and good position is what you’re after, this will suit.

- IONA (8/5): - Very good location, beautiful views/walks literally across the road!!! a very short walk into Tenby center. Breakfast was very good, plenty of options hot/cold. Room a good size with complimentary coffee/tea/biscuits provided. Beds comfortable. Would definately return!!!

But inside sound proofing is poor and you can hear all your neighbours- which means they can hear you!! Clean bathroom, nice towels, nice bed. Breakfast was basic.
- Peter (4/5): Would not return - Really disappointing! The whole place is run down anc and needs urgent major upgrades. We got a room at the attic, needing to climb 60 stairs with luggage. Had a tiny small window, letting in just a bit of light. Waterview, though! No reception or service, or anybody to talk to, from late afternoon on. No parking. Reasonable breakfast ! Overall, one of my worst hotel experiences . Would not return!!!!!

Not the most comfortable bed, as it sloped to the sides - felt like it needed replacing. Clean room with a nice sea view. Could hear room above until early hours. Breakfast was ok, nice thick bacon, cheap sausage, cheap hash brown but cold selection was nice. Didn’t cater for dairy free though. The couple that own it are lovely, and seem to care. Hope they replace the mattresses soon as would make a much better trip!

- Andrew (6/5): - Very annoyed to discover on check-in that despite published data, there are no parking facilities - the result being a charge of £20 to park in local carpark. This is a fraudulent description! REMOVE IT Very friendly owner. We were allocated a third floor room best described as quirky. Bedroom clean and freshly decorated, however lacked any drawer or shelf provision. The en suite had a markedly sloping floor and had a loose toilet seat and very loose tap on wash basin. Also, annoyingly, the toilet was incapable of flushing solids resulting in many attempts involving the cleaning brush! In fairness, the landlord attended to the loose tap and seat during the day. Breakfast was adequate with goodish choice of cereals, fruit and pastries with cooked options. Dining area very clean and fleshly decorated in common with ground and first floor areas. ,

- Eirianwen (10/5): - We absolutely loved our stay here, easy check in and the room was gorgeous and spacious overlooking the sea! There was free parking on the street which was ideal. We were able to walk every in Tenby from this location and felt safe. We had a lovely full English (Welsh) breakfast in the morning, along with cold breakfast options as well. Highly recommend this location for a stay in Tenby!
- mark (6/5): Tired - Reception staff very friendly and helpful but hotel is tired and dated and due to the fact that it's dog friendly not very pleasant smelling. The radiators were piping hot ( In June 😳) and covered so you are unable to turn it off, luckily both windows were easily opened. Bed was comfortable and there is tea and coffee making facilities. Shower is small and low water flow also if you are up early, before 7am, the water is tepid. Came back from a fantastic walk on south beach for breakfast only to find there wasn't a table free. Only stayed the one night but couldn't recommend to anyone.

They served one of the best breakfasts we had on our trip. This place has as much character as the charming proprietor. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Tenby is beautiful. Hopefully we'll make it back some day. We would definitely stay here again.

We were given the choice of two rooms, I let my husband chose which one (for a change!). Both had a sea view, what more can you ask for! The room was clean, very comfortable and huge! Breakfast was delicious. I don’t usually eat a cooked but this was just perfect 👌. Thank you to Graham and his team, we would highly recommend a stay here

Building is pretty tired and in need of renovation. Limited front desk. Price was very affordable, but hotel/rooms reflected it. Unlikely to stay again.
- Christopher (8/5): No free parking - Hotel staff friendly and helpful. Decor a little 'tired' and old fashioned. Bathroom facilities basic and rickety (loose toilet seat and shower controls). Does not have free parking, as advertised within the online details. Proprietor advises that he has asked Hotels.com to correct this several times and they have ignored such requests. Nearest parking approx. 100 yards and costs £10 per day.

- Dianne (10/5): - I loved the location; I had a room with an ocean view. The room is not air conditioned, if that is a necessity for you, but it had a fan and I was very comfortable at night. The room was clean and quiet, and I could walk anywhere I needed to go.

The room was very warm due to the weather and we returned on day 1 to find a fan had been left outside our door, it helped a lot! The location is beautiful with the sea just steps from the door.

Nothing was ever any bother - very well looked after and had the most wonderful breakfasts. Lovely restaurant downstairs, the hotel is very well decorated throughout, and the room was very cosy and homely - just what was called for, given the weather! Hoping to return at some stage.

- Paul (10/5): Good B&B – View over South Bay – parking nearby - On arrival the owner was welcoming and explained everything clearly. He apologised for the Hotels.com advert that still states that he does have onsite parking. The room was comfy, complementary water, biscuits etc, and had a view over the South Beach bay. It’s convenient for the beaches, the town centre, many shops, cafes and restaurants are just a few minutes’ walk away. The cooked to order breakfast was excellent and the staff were very friendly and accommodating, would certainly consider booking again if visiting Tenby. Info on parking. I parked on the Five Arches car park a few yards from the B&B. See photo, B&B is the blue building in the distance. It also has electric charge points. Other car parks such as South Beach Bay and Display Car Park are also nearby. Free parking is available in the unmarked bays, but lots of the bays with lines are residents only, so take care to park where there are no lines.

- Kim (10/5): Perfect! - Just returned from our first stay at The Esplanade and we’ve already booked to go back. Graeme and his team are super friendly and can’t do enough for you to make sure your stay is perfect. The rooms are very clean and comfortable and the breakfast can’t be beaten. The location is also ideal. The sea view to the front is amazing and you are literally across the road from the walled town, with all the shops, bars and restaurants. All in all The Esplanade is an ideal base for your holiday or short break in Tenby.

- Helena (10/5): Last Minute Mini Break - Booked only the day before and knew we would have a street view room on an upper floor, but was pleasantly surprised on arrival to be upgraded to a beautiful ground floor room which was so welcomed as my husband’s mobility isn’t so good. The room although on the street side still had a view of the sea. The breakfast was plentiful, which included full Cooked breakfast, plenty of choice of juices, cereals and fruit. Graham and his staff were very approachable and accommodating.

- Verified traveler (8/5): A nice couple of days - Hotel was in excellent position on the sea front & close to the town. The room we had was on the side of the hotel overlooking the town walls. The room was basic, very clean & we had a nice TV. It was ideal for a couple of nights stay. The bathroom was a reasonable size, it had a bath & a shower. Unfortunately, we struggled to get a nice warm shower as the water got colder if you had it at a reasonable pressure. The bed was a bit too firm for my liking but we still had a reasonable nights sleep. Though we woken by the people staying above who were walking around for nearly an hour between 4.15 & 5 am. The floorboards were a bit creaky & the person seemed heavy footed. The breakfast was very good. there was a good choice with the buffet plus you could have a full English or something a bit smaller. My husband had a full English, which he enjoyed while I had poached eggs one morning & boiled eggs the second day as I like a lighter breakfast. What I liked was that I could have my breakfast on a tray in our room as we had our puppy with us & he didn't like to be left in the room alone. However, there was some confusion on the second morning when the lady serving wouldn't give my husband an egg with his breakfast because he had already had two boiled eggs. The eggs were for me & he was bringing me the tray because I struggle with the two fire doors. She knew he was collecting my breakfast but he still wasn't given an egg with his full English.

- Verified traveler (8/5): - Very convenient hotel with very pleasant staff. A large room (number 17) with a good view. A nice bathroom with plenty of hot water for the bath, however the shower was a little disappointing with lack of power. good value hotel with a lovely breakfast included.

- Verified traveler (8/5): - Lovely welcome and fantastic location. Hotel a little tired from the outside but once inside everything nice and clean. Staff couldn't have done more to make our stay a nice experience.

- Adrian (8/5): Short Break - The Esplanade is in a great location right on the edge of town overlooking the Sea. No Parking at the Hotel but 5 minutes walk to most things and lots of nice restaurants, which is good as once parked you don't want to loose your space as parking in Tenby can be difficult. Hotel is clean and quiet in the evening which is a plus and the hotel coffee shop pleasant. Only criticism is the bedroom decor is a little dated and the beds/mattresses are in need of replacement, but we coped for a couple of nights.
- Judith (8/5): The Esplanade - Staff all pleasant and helpful. Parts of the hotel were rather dated, however I understand that the owners are renovating the hotel. Our room smelt musty, carpet in area’s was almost threadbare. Great location. Would recommend to others and return at a later date
- Marian (10/5): Nice hotel close to beach - Had a lovely two day break at the Esplanade Hotel.The hotel is situated directly opposite beach. Central to eveything in Tenby. We had a comfortable room andnthe breakfasts were really nice. Probably best breakfast in hotel. Owner very friendly as were the staff. Will be calling back there one day.
