Verified traveler (2/5): This is not 4* warning do not book!!! - Hotels.com relocated us to this hotel after the original hotel we booked couldn’t check us in due to being overbooked. We arrived for check in at 1am tired having spent most the day travelling. The person who checked us in was rude and demanded that hotels.com pay for 15 days worth of parking as that is what they saw on their system. They refused to check us in unless £150 was paid in addition to the fee already paid to them for bed and breakfast accommodation. We explained that we didn’t even have a car but they refused to check us in until payment was received. We explained if the booking said we needed 15 days parking then it must be an error and given the booking had only been made 10 minutes earlier could we not sort it out in the morning. Hotels.com kindly sent over new credit card authorisation and we checked in over an hour later. The room was mediocre at best with dated furniture conwebs all over and a very uncomfortable bed. They put us in a family room with 3 beds despite only 2 of us checking in. There was barely any room to move inbetween. In the morning when attempting to have breakfast they refused us saying that they wouldn’t honour the breakfast as hotels.com had only paid an additional £90 for the fly drive parking we had not requested and they wanted the full £150. Awful service, rude management and unsightly rooms. AVOID this 2* accommodation and service!!!

TONYZ. (10/5): - Picked this hotel because of location close to the airport. Turns out it is one block from the central station in Hounslow . There is a subway that goes directly to green park close to the Buckingham palace., subway also goes to the airport only a few minutes away. The hotel is an 1880s mansion converted into a bed and breakfast. Two blocks from the main street with lots of shopping in good places to eat, there is also a 24 hour convenience store right across the street. Would highly recommend this motel but don’t expect it to be like the Hyatt much more charming and like going back in time. Highly recommend
Verified traveler (2/5): - I did not like any thing about the property . the family room extremely small ., not worth the money they was asking., They try to overcharge you for every thing even taxi ride to the airport.
Barbara (6/5): - The facility was very close to the Hounslow Central tube station, as advertised. However, we were not prepared for all of the stairs on the property. Our room was on the 3rd floor, and the main floor was one level up from the street, so effectively we were on the 4th floor. The breakfast room was on the ground floor, below the main floor. This property was not a good choice for an older couple with limited ability to handle stairs. We also misunderstood the room we would have. We were given the impression that we could request a room with a king bed, but were given a "family" room, with an ordinary double bed and two additional single beds. This did not work well for us, but another party might appreciate a 4-person room. The facility was clean, and bedding was good, but atmosphere and decor were basic, and overall we did not see it as a good value for what we paid.

Nikki (8/5): Charming hotel very close to Hounslow Central tube - It's an old victorian - so the floors and walls creak - but it's really quite quaint and charming. The hotel manager contacted me before my stay so I knew how to get ahold of him if there were any issues. The surrounding area has alot of really close options for eating, pharmacy, beauty salon, and several grocery stores. Will definitely stay here again.

Shev (2/5): Dirty and No filter Coffee - Initially the booking was great, good communication and friendly staff. HOWEVER upon arrival at 23.20 - business guest. I found the room to be dirty and musty. The curtains had what looked to be bird poo running down them from the top. The floor had not been mopped as there were also splash marks, food and god knows what else stuck to the it. The bathroom was disgusting, plughole in the shower was yellow, mouldy and filled with hair there was also muck in the bottom of the shower when I arrived, I rinsed it away and found the filthy plughole. The vanity mirror for shaving was so thick with dust it was greasy. I booked a double room advertised with a king sized bed I only had a double bed - when I mentioned this the manager he stated they do not have king size beds... I advised him to amend his listing as that’s really not my problem. Continental breakfast was a joke it looked to consist of cereal that had not been replaced in about a decade, I suspect thats because no one eats it so it never needs re filling. It’s also very worth noting COFFEE is instant no filter available. 👎 After explaining to the manager about the room he said “I beg to differ” Basically calling me a liar. He requested that I show him the room?? I had to leave for work and find coffee and breakfast at extra cost to me. Travellodge over this place 100%

Jackie (10/5): Wonderful Staff! - I booked this little guest house in the middle of the night for my daughter who was staying at a very dirty and noisy hostel. She arrived unbeknownst to the staff, but the manager was so nice and accommodating she immediately booked the next two nights there. He made her a wonderful breakfast in the morning. I felt completely at ease with our choice after the hostel blunder! I highly recommend this if you need to be close to Heathrow.
Simon (4/5): - All looked great on the Internet. Entrance - carpet we'll worn and grimey. My room was downstairs and on entry had a damp / stale smoke smell. Despite the signs stating no smoking clearly someone had been smoking in the room. No toilet paper in the bathroom. The shower was fairly pathetic and the drain clearly needs unblocking as the shower basin started filling up! The one saving grace was the breakfast which was good all though steep at £10. It's a shame it promised a lot but didn't live up to the write up on the Internet.

Verified traveler (6/5): Handy for Twickenham. Reasonably priced. - Crompton B&B is about 20 mins walk from Hounslow train station and very close to a rather nice free shuttle to and from Twickenham, alternatively £11 in a taxi, about 10 minutes. There is a bus too. Right next door to a pub, what’s not to like? Now then, onto the B&B itself. Clean, comfortable if a little gaudy and tired. Fridge door hanging off, but fridge worked and at least there was one. Decor rather glitzy and chrome(y) but as I say, very clean and for a one nighter, perfectly adequate and value for money. Breakfast...well we were seated at a table by the window with a quite hideous dried flower arrangement, which looked dirty and capable of dropping all sorts of horrors onto our breakfast. Shifted it. Breakfast itself was substantial, cereal, fruit, full English, toast. A bit Fawlty Towers ish. Plates were stone cold as were bacon and mushrooms. Toast came out untoasted and when we asked for it to be toasted we waited quite a while and then could clearly hear the sound of toast being scraped. Out it came, black with little scraped brown bits. Ok, I’m saying all this as it was quite comical. Seriously, though, I would stay here again for an overnighter. It is clean, staff were very pleasant and helpful and it is very reasonably priced. Ideal for a trip to Twickenham.

V8 (2/5): Avoid this guest house - I must rank "terrible" for my stay at Crompton because my first night there was not in Crompton GH, but forcibly relocated to a run-down room inside an unlisted and probably unlicensed place about 100 m away from Crompton. Our room is not accessible through the main door of the house, but through a narrow smelly lane (about 30 m long, 1 m wide) which is filled with pigeons’ dung and flies the size of ten pence coins! The gate, though "locked", can be easily opened without key. The premises which I was put up is not listed because there is no sign indicating that it is a guest house; it is very likely an unlicensed place and must not be used for any commercial purpose, particularly as guest house for obvious safety reason. Inside our room, nothing is right: broken hair dryer, beds with coffee stains, cushions with stains, cutlery with food stains, moulds on walls, kid's writings on walls, failed lighting in toilet, noisy aircon, noise from the tube track right next to our room, grease and stains all over the stoves, the microwave and exhaust fan, half broken toilet door, spiders crawling around the bedding, etc. We refused to accept it, but was told by the proprietor that no room was available at Crompton in the first 2 nights of our stay! We asked for refund, but turned down rudely by proprietor who scolded at me in front of my teenager daughter for seeking help from Expedia.com.The way Crompton Guest House handled my case is disgraced London and Hounslow.

sleepless (2/5): Not as described - Due to BAW flight stop, we were stuck for a room, but to charge us 900 euro was just greedy. We stayed in 5 star hotels that cost half the price. Room was 2 long staircases from entrance, no fireplace as mentioned. Neighborhood didn't feel safe. There was a tiny light in bath mirror which looked like a hidden camera. Sleep in airport b4 you stay at this 11 room rooming house.

Manager was rude biligerant argued with me and my niece two women alone slammed his hand on d so several times asked him to please calm down. Told him he was sterling from people taking advantage his hotel is not worth 20 dollars a night let a line 1200a night shame on Expedia place was in a scary side of town awful was up all night noises scarred couldn't wait to leave I would like my money back this was an outrage

The deorcative pillows needs to be washed. The Cable TV needs to work better. Towels need to be changed daily. The room needs to be deodorize and screen needs to be put on windows. Breakfast menu needs to be changed and not the same on your daily while your staying at crompton guess house hotel.. Also, this american menu needs to changed from fry eggs,sauage,beans,ham, mushrooms, toast, cold cereal on a daily basis. Guess should be given a map of the general area, that's what most hotels do.

Thomas (10/5): Our luck with the Irish at Perryville House - Simply elegant Manor House style hotel. Breakfast was a feast, lots of Inn-made jams, breads and granola. Local yogurt, farm fresh eggs....really lovely. Innkeepers are kind and welcoming. Gracious public rooms and large bedrooms with bath en-suite. Rooms service would be the only imaginable improvement. Worth going out of your way to stay at Perryville House.

Donata (2/5): Not what i had booked - Booked this hotel because of its vicinity to Heathrow airport and we had a car to return and they offered free parking. Very disappointing from the check in. The person in charge was not very knowledgeable about our hotels.com booking and could not find our booking. Had to call for help twice to finally sort it out and that s when we had the first bad surprise: despite a confirmation booking fee of 65 Pounds which with hotels.com is normally prepaid, he said that the fee to pay with a credit card was instead 68. Not a big difference but very odd since I have been using hotels.com many times before and we never had to actually give the credit card again because the room, not the incidentals, is always already paid for. The room we were shown in was not at all what we had booked and what was advertised. a Double bed yes, but two more extra twin bed that we did not need and no space whatsoever to move around, let alone place our suitcases! The "warming" fireplace was boarded up and partially covered by one extra bed. The bathroom was the size of a closet, dark and smelly. Never again.

Jane (6/5): Expensive and unreliable - Expensive b&b plus an unreliable taxi service from airport. I had to make add hoc arrangements to transport my four small children and I. Instead of an apology I was asked to pay for the car that hadn't turned up. Nice staff but definitely wouldn't recommend it.
Not Provided (10/5): Excellent accommodations & lovely hotel! - I highly recommend this hotel! It's not your regular Hilton with no customer service. I misunderstood the hotel to include a free shuttle service to the airport..the shuttle was "available" for a fee, but I was down to very little pounds since I was leaving the next morning. The hotel manager walked himself to buy my tube tickets for me (so I could sleep easier having the tickets in my hand!), but they could not be purchased until the day of travel. He UPGRADED my room to a larger one on the first level due to all our luggage, & then arranged for me to share a cab to the airport with another customer! He truly went above & beyond my expectations with customer service!! This hotel is worth every penny (or pound!) and we absolutely loved it & felt very safe there! Very reasonably priced, & very close to the airport too.
Verified traveler (4/5): - The bed linens were fine, but all of the textiles that don't get changed out on a regular basis were filthy. The throw pillows had spots all over them and the curtains were dusty. One actually had something crusty on it. For the prices they are charging these things should be regularly cleaned and changed.
Louise (8/5): Good break - For a family of 5 it is hard to find a place to stay for a reasonable price but this hotel was perfect. The kids were happy with the free wifi, husband was happy with the shower and I was happy with the comfortable bed. Great service for breakfast too.

Noisy room, people checkin in/out in the middle of the night, talking and slamming doors 1 day the room wasn't made up at all, breakfast preparation time vary from 5minutes to 25minutes, very unpredictable. For such money try searching elsewhere
Andrew (10/5): Cozy and Ideally Located in Londontown - We arrived in London and were pleasantly surprised at the cost and value offered by Crompton Guest House. The owner was welcoming and jovial with a mountain of information not only about the hotel and parking, but the surrounding area as well. This hotel is minutes from the Victoria Underground line and is ideally located to London Heathrow. The local pub, across the street, has excellent Indian food while the rooms are spacious and the beds comfortable. If you can, add breakfast to your stay - each breakfast is custom-made fresh for you, so while it can take a while it's well worth the wait. Steve, the manager, is an amazing chef. If you're needing an overnight hotel before a flight or a B&B to use as a base while visiting London, you really can't look past Crompton for either purpose. We'll be back if we're in London!

DavidSJr (8/5): Heathrow Tube Convenient - The best thing about the Crompton Guest House was the staff. Mgr. Steve and Prop. Sunny made and extraordinary effort to make us feel welcome and were extremely helpful in accommodating a small change in our plans that ended up requesting them to pick us up at Heathrow quite late at night with little notice. They then talked us through getting on the Tube, via a station less than a block away, into Central London and giving us some great advice on how to spend our 1 day there. At the end of the day they made sure we had a taxi ready after we returned on the tube and made our visit quite stress free.
Jack (8/5): A Comfortable Hole in the Wall - Single overnight stay worked out very well. Free parking in a secure area, which I used as I took the tube (station only 50m from hotel) into Central London. No real facilities, and as a result, I question their claim to 4* rating. I also question the failure to mention a 5% surcharge for paying with credit cards or non-UK debit cards. This was not mentioned on this booking site, but rather only via an e-mail confirmation. Not a deal killer, but certainly a nuisance, unfortunately. In summary...A Good Find!
Dave (4/5): This is not a 4 star Hotel - This is definitely not a 4 star hotel is a nice guest house. Its clean and pleasant but a little over the top in terms of the bright colors and decor, the rooms are a little gaudy and there was even a chrome plated phone in the room. The manager is also the receptionist and seems to do some of the cooking as well is a very nice and friendly gentleman he seems to be running the place single handedly. There is no elevator and I had to lug my bags up 2 flights of stairs. The passageways are dark and the lights come on when motion is detected. I would say that over all its a nice guest house but certainly not a 4 star or even a 3 start hotel. If the expectation was set right I would not have felt short changed.

Clean, comfortable, but cramped room. Revitalized older building. OK breakfast. Old English neighborhood with people from all over the world speaking every language. Convenient to local stores and fast food. Seems more appropriate for business travellers than tourists.

ste (8/5): Catered for everything we wanted - We recently spent the weekend here and we're made up with how much this suited our every need. First of all the price was excellent value! The rooms are clean and comfortable with a very modern feel. The staff were helpful and checking in and out was a breeze! Having driven into London the free parking was a massive bonus for us as other hotels charge a fortune as extra. The manager even said we could leave the car on the day we checked out if we desired to go back into central London. Free breakfast was also included to our surprise and cooked very well to order for us in the morning. Location wise this place is perfect for a commute into the city! The tube is literally a stone throw a way and couldn't be easier to get in and back! Hounslow itself is a bit of dive though so I would spend as much time in the city as you can and sort yourself out with dinner and evening meal there. Overall top value, breakfast free parking, perfect location to get in the city, what more could you want.
Hooi (8/5): Stayed 4 days. - The best thing about this hotel is the location. It is about 50 meters to the underground station and the hotel has free parking in the backyard. There are restaurants and convenient stores across the road and shopping areas a short walk away. Rooms are small, but then its London. You get what you pay for. The hotel does provide additional services, laundry and even a taxi service. Convenient but expensive compared to outside services. I would recommend this for short stays, especially if you want to avoid central London.
Thomas (8/5): Very conveniet from Heathrow - Very smart location only a few stops on the subway from heathrow. Much better to take the subway rather than the hotell hoppa to som eof the more close hotels. The subway us cheaper and more convenient in my opinion. The hotel is good value for money. Breakfast is very good!
