• Alan (10/5): A beautiful stay in the old town. - The location was excellent. It is inside the beautiful old city but it was not right in the middle of the touristy spot so it was quiet and relaxing. The owner was friendly and interesting to talk to. We were ok but if someone gets drunk he/she could fall from the stairs coming down from the bedroom.
• Clare (10/5): Would love to return some day - We loved staying at Stavros’ beautiful house. The location was perfect with a view of the sea from the balcony. The room was plenty spacious for 3 of us, very clean and with an excellent shower. There was even a carafe of raki and filter coffee in the fridge. Thoroughly enjoyed meeting Stavros and enjoyed his excellent recommendations for sightseeing and food, and his reminiscing of earlier days in Chania. We loved it all
• Fran (10/5): Onvergetelijke gastvrijheid en adembenemend uitzicht! - Casa Veneta en de eigenaar Stavros waren een absolute topper! De eigenaar is heel goed bereikbaar via Whatsapp en staat 24/7 voor je klaar voor alle vragen! We hebben veel aanbevelingen van hem gekregen en hij is ook zeer goed op de hoogte van de locale situatie. Hele vriendelijke man, we hebben veel uit ons verblijf in Chania aan hem te danken. De kamer was ook tip top in orde. Groot, netjes, mooi ingericht en een balkonnetje (kamer met seaside view). Het voelde echt aan als een luxe hotel, en toch midden in de stad. Helemaal genoten! Er was tevens ook airco aanwezig in de kamer, hetgeen handig is aangezien we in een duplex kamer sliepen en het bovenaan nogal warm kon worden.

• Gavin (10/5): Clean, comfortable, great hosts! - Our room had the sea view, on the top floor of the hotel. The hotel was a beautiful old style building which had been renovated and was very clean. Room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. We stayed in 3 hotels over the course of our trip through Greece, and this was the best one we stayed at for our budget! Also Stravos was very kind, he sent me plenty of details about the city through WhatsApp, such as reccomendations on where to eat, different beaches we could drive to and assisted us with whatever we asked, such as finding free parking down the street near the hotel. He even took us for a walk through old town Chania when we first arrived to show us around!

The balcony has lovely views of the sea and up the lovely historic street. The bed was large and comfortable. The apartment was quiet and we slept well. It was very clean. It is very well placed to explore Chania and walk to the beach .We really enjoyed meeting Stavros and hearing about his childhood and the history of the house and street. Stavros shared a lot of information before arrival which was really helpful. Check in and check out was easy and we were kept well informed before arrival Thank you Nothing.

It was like coming back own home, privacy was respected. Location is amazing, it is so close to the harbor but quiet street. Room is very clean and spacious. I appreciated coffee and coffee machine in the room. (Wine glasses are nice although we did not use them.) Also, he was good with communicating with us. We were bit struggled with showered water flooding outside until we get used. No lift in the house was hard for my friend who carried bigger suitcase to bring it up stairs, but hey it is an old house.

• Gerhard (8/5): Tolle Lage und saubere Unterkunft mit nettem Gastgeber in der Altstadt von Chania - Die Lage in der Altstadt ist ausgezeichnet und die Entfernung zu kostenlosen Parkplätzen noch erträglich. Unser Zimmer war sehr sauber, das Bett war sehr gut. Der Gastgeber ist äußerst freundlich und man fühlt sich willkommen. Eine Flasche kretischer Wein und ein Fläschchen Raki standen zur Begrüßung bereit. Für gehbehinderte Meschen ist die Unterkunft wegen den Treppen (Zwischengeschosse) weniger geeignet.

Nice cafes and restaurants within easy reach. The property is wonderful. The parking is more difficult because it’s a very popular part of town but we always found a space in the end, sometimes nearer the hotel than others!

Tolle Lage am ruhigen Rand der Altstadt, und doch nur wenige Gehminuten vom Kern der Altstadt entfernt. Geschmackvoll eingerichtet und sauber. Wir reisen viel, selten sind wir so einem sympathischen Gastgeber wie Georgios begegnet. Seine liebevolle und herzliche Art haben uns sofort in den Bann gezogen. Wir würden immer wieder hier herkommen und vermissen die Zeit schon jetzt.
• Shu Mei (10/5): Excellent location, wonderful and responsive host for a local experience in the old town - Stavros the host was such a delight! Upon arrival, he texted to check if we checked in alright. He also provided a bunch of local tips, and was very responsive towards any questions I have via WhatsApp - recommended restaurants, local marts... and he shared with me about Sardine Day! (It's a day the locals grill sardines and give it out for free along the beach) The room was very clean, and was well equipped. There was even a little free bottle of Raki :) While Casa Veneta is in the old town, it is located more towards the edge of the old town, so it isn't as noisy at night... But you still get the convenience of being walking distance to all the shops and restaurants in the old town. The room did have quite a bit of steps, and the toilet was on the lower level of the room while the bedroom was on the higher level. I was ok with it, but not ideal for my mum who has trouble walking.

• Christian (9/5): The best place we've stayed at in Crete! - This is the 4th time my partner and I have holidayed in Crete and Casa Veneta was by far the nicest place we've stayed in. The building was beautiful, the location perfect and the views stunning. We'd read very good things about the owner, Stavros, and they were not wrong; he provided us with lots of excellent recommendations (in particular the restaurant Strata!) and went out of his way to make sure we knew where to catch our bus to Samaria Gorge and gave us updates about interesting events via WhatsApp. The accommodation was clean, cool and quiet with a very large and comfortable bed. All in all - top marks!

• Sabrina (10/5): Schöne Unterkunft in einer tollen Altstadt - Casa Veneta ist eine zentral gelegene und doch ruhige Unterkunft in der Altstadt von Chania, direkt am Meer. Stavros, der Gastgeber ist sehr freundlich und hat uns herzlich empfangen. Zudem erhielten wir einige Tipps für unseren Aufenthalt in der wunderschönen Altstadt. Unser Zimmer war sehr sauber, modern und gemütlich. Wir haben uns zu jeder Zeit wohl gefühlt und kommen gerne wieder. Danke an Stavros und sein Team :)
• Julie (8/5): Très bon séjour à la Canée - Super localisation à la Canée, situé dans la vieille ville mais dans une rue un peu plus calme donc très agréable. Possibilité de se garer dans 2 parkings publics proches de l'hôtel gratuitement. Pas mal de restaurants très sympa aux alentours (un vegan très bon où on est allé plusieurs fois). Stavros nous a accueilli en nous donnant pleins de recommandations pour notre séjour et les instructions données avant notre arrivée étaient claires et utiles. Nous avons eu une fuite d'eau au niveau du robinet le 2e jour mais Stavros est venu rapidement pour trouver une solution et nous n'avons pas eu de problème pour le reste du séjour. Il n'y a pas d'ascenseur dans l'établissement et nous avions également pas mal d'escaliers dans notre chambre, point à noter si vous avez des bagages lourds.

• Gian (8/5): - - Direkt am Beginn der Altstadt - Grosser Balkon mit Meersicht - Preis-Leistung - Unverständnis muessen wir äussern, da wir es nicht ganz nachvollziehen können, dass wenn die kommunizierte Check-in Zeit 1100 Uhr ist, man um 1050 als Reinigungskraft kommt und Druck macht, das Zimmer zu verlassen. Das hat die Stimmung bei der Abreise gedämpft.

Pernottando a Casa Veneta hai la possibilità di vivere il centro di Chania senza pensieri e goderti la vita lenta cretese. Un caloroso ringraziamento e saluto a Stavros, la cui ospitalità e gentilezza sono un valore aggiunto. Dovessi ritornare a Creta non sceglierei altro posto. Assolutamente niente. Si può pensare che il parcheggio vicino alla città vecchia sia difficile da trovare, ma in realtà tornando a casa in orari strategici (prima delle 20 o dopo le 22), si riesce a parcheggiare senza particolari difficoltà dato che ci sono alcune grandi aree di parcheggio nelle vicinanze.

Stanza grande con phon, aria condizionata e tv Stanza molto buia e umida. Essendo al piano terra non c’era balconcino o finestra e questo ci ha costretti ad avere asciugamani bagnati per 3 gg visto che la biancheria viene cambiata il quarto giorno. • Vicky (9/5): Old town location. Great Aircon . Friendly helpful staff. - Stavros and George were extremely helpful and friendly. Stavros gave us information about where to go and fabulous recommendations for where to eat. The apartments are close to where you can be dropped off with your luggage in the old town. The location for tour pick ups was extremely close too. The apartments are huge and aircon was fabulous in the middle of summer. Bathroom was small but clean and good water pressure . Comfortable beds. You need to ask for an iron and return after use . If you like to iron every day as needed this can be inconvenient. If you dont need to iron it wouldn’t be an issue. There is a lot of space in the apartment.A washer and dryer would’ve made this the best apartment .

• David (10/5): Wonderful apartment set amongst the restaurants on Old Town Chania. Close to the water, it is the perfect stay in Chania - The location of Casa Veneta is just about perfect, located only 500m from the water and swimming areas, and set amongst some wonderful restaurants. The apartment is spacious and the bed very comfortable. Double doors open onto a small balcony along with a window it's very light and airy. The owner, Stavros was so helpful with information about places to visit and things to do. Also had some wonderful stories about the building and family history. Nothing I can find wrong about it.

Το προσωπικό ήταν πάρα πολύ ευγενικό και εξυπηρετικό, παρέχοντας μας αναλυτικές πληροφορίες τόσο για τη διαμονή όσο και για τα Χανιά και τη Κρήτη. Το συστήνω ανεπιφύλακτα!
• Maksim (7/5): Неплохо, но с нюансами - Отель находится в отличном месте, вокруг много интересного, очень приятный владелец Пол не очень чистый, в целом пыльно, постельное белье могло бы быть чище/свежее. Дверь в номер запирается на очень примитивный ключ, а при условии отсутствия персонала, это очень сомнительно в плане безопасности.

• Δημήτρης (10/5): - Ο ξενοδόχος υπέροχος άνθρωπος και πολύ φιλικός, το δωμάτιο καθαρό και άνετο. Βρίσκεται σχεδόν στην είσοδο της παλιάς πόλης και ειναι πολύ βολικό. Το δημοτικό πάρκινγκ εχει περιορισμένες θέσεις κι αν έρθεις με αυτοκίνητο κάνεις τάμα να βρεις να το παρκάρεις. Το δωμάτιο στο ισόγειο είναι δίπλα σε εστιατόριο και έχει λίγο φασαρία τη νύχτα αλλα σε λογικά πλαίσια.
