Guest Reviews
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great little place to call home - Overall great experience & owners were great. Only thing I would offer up is could use some new mattresses but everything else was more than expected!
Would (or shouldsay will) stay again someday
- Tony (2/5): - The room was about 90° when we got there and never did cool off for two days we were there. Water pressure in the bathroom was bad. And one of the owners gave us a real bad attitude when we inquired about checking out a little bit late on our last day. We will never go back there again I would not recommend this hotel to anybody!
- LindaandJoe (10/5): - This was our first time in the Keys and I'm glad we happened to find this place. Cindy and Mike are so welcoming and gave us great recommendations and tips to get around. Our room was not the most modern but clean and very comfortable, just what we were looking for.
- Patricia (10/5): - Needs to have a pool and it will be perfect.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Money hungry hotel - Title says it all. I felt like I was robbed. Highway robbery
- Kate (8/5): Like staying with family! - A perfect place for a Keys getaway for the budget and pet friendly! Cindy and Mike make the experience even better, so welcoming!
- Angela (2/5): Skip this olace!! - Rooms were filthy, old bedding, have made bed the worst Was the fact that they were two complementary bottles of water and one was half empty. We did not feel comfortable spending the night yet the host would not give us a refund. So disappointed and down 167.00. Even though we lost the money, we made the right decision. This place was too dirty and we felt unsafe.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - old bare to the bones. No light ins shower 12 step to get in. nothing in walking destance. I do not recommend
- John (8/5): Good place just to rest - For the $ this was a good deal for us staying for a fishing trip. Exterior very rough but inside rooms was very clean and comfortable. Not a family vacation type of place but if you just need a place to rest this will do nicely
- Kathy (10/5): - The owners Cindy and Mike were as nice as could be ! They made us feel like really were just visiting out of state family. We were able to sit at the dock side early morning and late evening just gazing at the sunrise and set. With out that tourist crowd atmosphere. Can't wait to go back !
- Verified traveler (6/5): - No coffee.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Just Don’t - Unless you have a dog, and you can’t find any other place that accepts pets; don’t stay here. Rooms are tiny, I’ll-kept, old, dark and depressing. The toilet, frig and window AC unit were all very noisy. To get to my room, you had to go into a “backyard” of sorts and deal with 3 large dogs. They require you to pay for your whole stay when you check in (before seeing the room) and now I know why.
- Joy (10/5): Great stay! - I really liked using Islamorada as our home base for our Keys adventures. This motel is very conveniently located. It's a nice space with places for relaxing and socializing with other guests if you'd like. They are very helpful and friendly there and we enjoyed our stay!
- Lee (10/5): Welcome Home - Mike and Cindy are wonderful hosts and greet guests with “Welcome Home”. This is a great place to stay with awesome SCUBA diving nearby. There is nowhere else we rather stay, it truly feels like a second home.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great place to stay - The owners are very warm and welcoming. They welcomed us to the Conch On Inn with saying, “Welcome home.” They were very friendly which made staying there comfortable. Cindy was there for us and ready to answer any questions that we had. She was very informative and gave us a sheet of paper with restaurants, hot spots, and attractions that she recommended. The pillows and matress were very confortable. The room was nicely kept and cleaned daily. Air conditioning units are in each room and were controlled by us, which made us even more comfortable. The overall stay was a 10/10. I would definitely stay at the Conch On Inn again.
- Joshua (10/5): Friendly and Fun! - We really enjoyed our stay at the Conch On Inn. The owners are wonderful people who treat you like family. This was especially evident in how they interacted with my two boys. The enjoyed sitting by the channeling and watering the Manatee that were there every day during our stay in early April. The owners also provided us with restaurant recommendations that were wonderful. Be sure to check them out, it's worth it. We were especially fond of 88! Thank you!
- Thomas (10/5): Owners love to share what is local - The owner / host was really wonderful and wanting to really share the best of what was local
- Verified traveler (10/5): Welcome home - Hosts are amazing. Gave a great orientation to the area for a new visitor. Very responsive and friendly. Metal bed was firm and somewhat creaky but slept fine. Patio seating was ample and comfortable. Fridge and microwave were higher quality and well maintained. Minor complaints: no chair in the room, dirty air conditioner smelled a bit when first turned on, weak wifi in room, but great on the patio.
- Sue (8/5): Quaint Hotel - We found this place while travelling through the Florida Keys. It is a quaint little place with plenty of character. It was like our own little paradise. Best of all, we were able to bring our dog with us. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
- Lee (8/5): - I wrote a review earlier regarding being charged two nights stay even though we could only get there for the second night due to flight cancellations. Initially they wouldn't give me a credit for the first night but they did change their mind and I really appreciate it. We have stayed here before and will do so again!
- Verified traveler (6/5): Refresh Needed - I was disappointed with the room. They clearly had damage from the hurricanes. It was a bare bones experience. Example - not even a tissue in the room. For he price point I expected more. The owners are great though. So I am sure I can chalk up my experience to supply and demand.
- Colin (8/5): A wee laid back placewith Manitees - Only eight units but sited on inland waterway with boats and manitees. The owners are present and very welcoming and attentive. The motel welcomes pets as the owners have four rescue dogs - all very well behaved. The motel recommends several local eateries, most of which are waterfront - we visited Laurelli and Robbies (feed the) Tarpon and both were worthy of the recommendation.
- Scott (10/5): Love this place - Owners Mike and Cindy are the best. Very hands on and helpful. Made our trip very comfortable and memorable. Being dog friendly was a must for us and will 100% recommend and return again. Thank you again, Scott Henderson

- Verified traveler (6/5): - The conch On Inn is run by a very nice couple. Cindy was so very welcoming and helpful with suggestions for things to do and places to eat. The rooms are small and very basic but comfortable. The one thing I really missed was having a coffee maker in the room. This would be a welcome addition to the room. We enjoyed sitting by the canal watching the manatees play in the evening, which I understand is a common occurrence.
- Samantha (10/5): - Great customer service, good location! Close to many restaurants & activities.
- Verified traveler (2/5): It sucked - Everything was awful from the start. From the hotel staff behind the desk
- Neil (8/5): Stay here - Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Funky set up. Florida retro. Lots if character
- Verified traveler (10/5): Ruth - Super friendly owners. Very lovely setting. Would definitely stay again!
- Peggy (10/5): Very nice experience!!! - The owners cindy and mike were excellent hosts! Helped us with places to eat and things to do!! We were very comfortable here!!
- Verified traveler (10/5): Very nice hotel right on the channel - Very comfortable patio on the water where you can feed manatees very relaxing
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Super expensive just because of the Nautica Flea Market Show that was going on that weekend. Super uncomfortable bed smell was bad in the room.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - It's a good hotel to stay with very nice staff and good room.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Nice staff! Flight was delayed and they made arrangements for us to check in late
- Ray (6/5): Hotel convenient to where we wanted to be - Hotel about to be partially refurbished we understand and would certainly benefit from it.Very friendly proprietors but we were given a tiny room without even space for a chair on which to sit and with the most uncomfortable bed so not an enjoyable experience.
- Verified traveler (10/5): nice quaint good vibe - I met Cindy the owner and she was awesome! Friendly accomodating and so nice! The motel is more than dog friendly its a dog paradise.
- LYNNETTE (4/5): -
cindy was great! Friendly, hhelpful, personable. Place was not what the pix and description suggested. Needs major repairs and cleaning.
- Jimmy (8/5): Conch on Inn Motel - Nice motel. Quiet and room was clean. Staff very friendly.
- Michael (10/5): Welcome Home - Mike and Cindy are very nice, the communication before I arrived was seamless and once on site I was provided a run down of the best restaurants in the area. Their dogs are awesome and made me miss my dog that was back at home. This is truly one of those gems tucked along the Overseas Highway, They are run their business in a way that makes you feel at home.
- Matthew & Corie (10/5): Very friendly owners - My hubby has been to many hotels and he says this is the first that he's felt completely welcomed to. The owners are extremely nice. She told us about her experience evacuating the keys and luckily coming back to no damage and power. She opened her hotel up to families down there in need who lost everything. You can tell they are great people. Very friendly dogs are on the property. Even with them allowing pets, their rooms are clean and smell like downy. My only complaint would be that the bed was extremely squeeky. We would definitely stay again though.
- Rich (8/5): GR8 4 short stay - The rooms r small but very adequate for our 1 night stay. Conch is right on a canal and they have a GR8 patio area. The owners are very friendly and helpful.
- Gay (10/5): Great place - Great stay! Great people that own it!
- Chris (10/5): Nice no frills place to stay. - The owners are super friendly. Very accommodating.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - ideal spot for a quick overnight. not overburdened with amenities, but does the job.
- jo ann (10/5): Very friendly and welcoming place. - Cindy and her husband make you feel like family. They are knowledgeable about the area and made our stay enjoyable
- Jeffery (4/5): Disaster compounded by Hostess - Hostess persistent in agitating my dog. Wanted to relax on the deck after assessing damages to property in the keys but couldn't do so, outside. Had to retire to my smallish room to relax.
Hotel was filled with recovery workers that spent most of the evening outside in the common area, drinking and listening to loud music.
Only had to spend one night here, wouldn't stay nor recommend to my friends.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Weekend - It was a place to sleep after being out all day.
Comfortable. Quiet. Easy access.
- Thomas (10/5): Conch on Inn - The inn keeps Mike and Cindy were fantastic and treated you like family from the minute you walked in the gate. Room was a little small but had every amenity you could need and was very clean. Thanks for the great stay and the next time I'm in the area, I will definitely be staying with them.
- Joe (8/5): Owners very helpful with local information - We enjoyed the location and the low-key vibe of the place. We went to the keys to be outside. The Inn's philosophy is very much that, with comfortable seating and outside gathering space. If you are looking for a Keys experience that isn't a carbon copy chain hotel, I recommend Conch on Inn.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The facility was clean, but absolutely nothing to do
- Jeannette (6/5): - Air conditioner was loud and didn't do it's job. I didn't sleep.
- Ricky (8/5): Nice place for a quiet getaway. - Nice quiet place. Owners Mike and Cindy live on site and are very nice. Room was very clean and comfortable. Cindy tells everyone at check-in, "Welcome Home" and treats you like family. So much nicer than staying at a giant corporate hotel where you are just another room number without a face.
- Adriana (8/5): - It was a very nice authentic Keys motel. Only a couple of rooms and a nice patio with view on the water.
- Bill (10/5): Friendly and Home like - I stayed with Mike and Cindy for several days terminating over the fourth of July week-end. Cindy and Mike were very friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable, clean, there was a refrigerator with a genuine freezer, the TV was a large flat screen, the shower had good pressure and plenty of hot water, the bed was very comfortable. The patio out back was scenic, fronting on the canal, and comfortable. The motel is convenient to both Key Largo an Islamorada.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Fantastic owners, cute little inn - Fantastic little place! Owners are so nice and friendly. Made us feel welcomed and at home right away. Gave us lots of great suggestions for food and things to do in the area. Booked their smallest room and is nice and cozy, perfectly comfortable for two people. Nice amenities, room was clean and well kept. Very animal friendly as a nice plus. Will absolutely stay here again if we are back in the area.
- Valerie and Gus (10/5): Owner makes you feel like your st home. - Great hospitality, friendly owners, and great references for places to visit and eat. Had best fish ever with great sunset views.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Bare bones stop, no coffee or anything else - No amenities, just sleep and go. Sheets had holes in them
- Verified traveler (10/5): Clean and comfortable little hotel. - The owners of this hotel were very friendly. The room was cute and clean. Mattresses are New and comfortable. Each bed had 4 nice large pillows. Outside courtyards are private and tranquil. We forgot our wine opener. The owner gave us one along with two wine glasses!
- Erica S. (8/5): It was a great stay! - Cindy and Mike were very gracious and kind. The facility is pet friendly and they very highly assisting in pointing out other pet friendly sites near by. I enjoyed my stay as it was very centrally located and convenient to many sites/attractions/restaurants. I will definitely visit again!!! Thanks Cindy and Mike!
- Yadira (8/5): Nice owners, tiny room - The owners were very nice and attentive. Our room was incredibly small though and the window AC unit was right next to the head of the bed. No central air. Kind of pricey for the amenities.
- joe (10/5): - The bed was very uncomfortable made noise and felt cheap
- Jason (10/5): - This place is a great deal for those who don't need much other than a place to rest their head at night after a long day exploring the area. The owners are extremely nice & helpful. They keep the place clean, & we are glad we stayed with them. When we come back to the Keys, we'll definitely book with them again.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - the hotel was conveniently located for our trip. The hotel staff was very informative on the surrounding area from shopping to restaurants and leisure activities.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Lovely management - The owners/management were amazing. Very helpful. Everything was great except for no pool on site. They do offer free admission at a park that has a pool but other than no pool, everything was. Great
- John (2/5): Unfriendley.Very rude welcome. Not helpful. - Very nasty welcome. We brought a small boat with us not knowing they don't allow one. They were not even interested in helping us find a place to keep it.park it on the side of the road they said.So we told them if we don't come back as we go looking for some safe place to put the boat to just cancel our resurvation.we found other acomadtions. Now they are trying to bill us for the entire time.I am disputing it through my credit card.Beware of this place.
- Sheryl (10/5): Great Place - We really enjoyed staying at the Conch on Motel. Very clean!! Loved the court yard and sitting by the bay at night. The owner is very helpful and freindly.
Only two things bothered me about the room:
1) There was no full or partial mirrors. Only one small mirror in bathroom.
2) This may be silly. But the bathroom tissue was cheap quality.
- Teresa (10/5): - Very clean and friendly place to stay. We really enjoyed our stay and will be staying again in the future.
- Don & Lisa (10/5): I took the small small room - The room was very clean, owner was great love Luna, we are very pleased, some times you don't have to stay at the Ritz just plain and simple, Will Definitely stay again thanks Don, loved the manatees
- Verified traveler (10/5): Small but clean rooms - Small rooms, but clean. Couldn't reach the owner by phone to arrange check-in (as required!). However keys were ready when we arrived. Value for money could be better (you pay "the Keys" price, as everywhere in the Keys). Would book there again.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Charming Motel - Fun little motel with just a few rooms; very dog friendly and close to lots of things to do in the Keys. Owner gave us great tips on local places to eat and bring our kids.
- dev (10/5): Friendly place to stay - The only thing that would make our stay more perfect would be to have coffee available at the hotel
- Marilyn (10/5): Great dog friendly place - Very dog friendly with no charge or weight limit on pets and fenced in area for off leash play. Staff couldn't be nicer.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Convenient and Clean Motor Hotel - The owner could not be nicer and made sure that I was able to get in to my room even though I missed open office hours. The location is great and the room was spotless. This is a classic Florida motel situation, right on the water and easy for in and out. It's not fancy, but it's clean and everything worked, from the air conditioning to the hot water in the shower.
- jason (10/5): Excellent stay! - We had a great time at this mom and pop type hotel. The rooms were very comfortable and clean. The owners, Cindy and Mike were very welcoming. Great over all experience at this pet friendly hotel.
- Carol (2/5): - We did not stay - This motel is a dump! close to the main road, no pool. We lost the money that we paid in full & chose to drive 2 miles north to Rock Reef Resort - again an older motel, but spotlessly clean, swimming pool, & on the ocean. The beautiful sunset was awesome- all for less money than Conch on Inn Motel - we would not recommend this place whatsoever!
- Barbag (8/5): Least expensive way to visit the Keys. - If you are looking to visit the Middle Keys and not spend $$ in the process, this place maybe for you. For a unique, inexpensive spot in Islamorada, you can't go wrong. The owners are overly friendly and attentive and able to give any recommendation on activities and restaurants. The rooms are clean with several that have newly remodeled bathrooms. Flat screen TV's with AC units in the wall both worked well. WIFI was hit or miss during our stay. Not the best spot for families with kids but relaxing nonetheless with a seating area that overlooks an inlet waterway complete with manatees and fish. The owner's dogs and cat that like to visit while enjoying the seating area adds to the home atmosphere.
- Jill (10/5): Nice people! - Cute place with great owners and pet friendly too! Will stay there again.
- RICHARD (10/5): - ALL OF THE STAFF AND OWNERS WERE VERY FRIENDY, KNOWLEDGEABLE, AND CONSIDERATE OF THE STAY AND THE AREA. WE'LL BE GOING BACK SOON!!!
- Shana (8/5): Great price but just OK - Cute little Motel. We were in one of the recently remodeled rooms. Very friendly owners who put our light on and left a note for us in the room. Smaller room than we expected. We were disappointed that there wasn't a coffee maker in the room like the description said. Both beds were horribly uncomfortable and so squeaky that every time one of us turned over or slightly shifted it would wake all of us up. We were traveling with our two children. Beautiful patio area.
- Vicki (4/5): Don't bother! - Would not recommend this place, previous write ups deceiving. Not a good location, no ice, no breakfast, dark shabby little room.
- Linda (8/5): Wonderful place to stay - The owners. were so much fun!! Met wonderful people and had a great time
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great stay. - Had a great time. Cindy the owner is very nice and makes your stay really comfortable.
- jack (2/5): Totally Disappointed with the Conch On Inn - Although the price was reasonable the owner was obsessed in having my dog warm up to her four dogs which acted like pack dogs. The owner was drinking and insisted that all the dogs could get along which they didn't. I had to keep my dog in the room although the Conch Inn is advertised as pet friendly I found that not to be the case. All I wanted to do is relax after driving for six hours but instead I had to listen the owner go on and on and on and on about how our dogs should be able to play peacefully together. She kept her dogs out and continued drinking and making me and other guest feel uncomfortable with her constant babbling. I would never stay here again and I would not recommend anyone who has a dog to put themselves through this torture.
- David (8/5): Nice, clean break on your way to Key West - Very hospitable owner dedicated to renovating this hidden jewel in Islamadora! Dog friendly with 3 four- legged friends waiting to greet you.
- sandra (10/5): a real piece of paradise - Loved this place but I do have a problem, if I give it to good rating the next time I want to stay it will probably be full. The place is very casual and was perfect for us. The owner was perfect, we loved her and all the work they are doing just makes it better every visit.
- Mark (8/5): Cozy non corporate motel with an Old Florida feel - Cindy is the best. Close to everything between Key Largo and Islamorada. Well worth considering.
- Diana (10/5): Great choice for a Keys location - We really enjoyed our 3-day stay at Conch on Inn. Cindy, the owner, was fantastic in making us feel at home. If you are looking for an inexpensive location for touring the Keys this is the place. Or if you are just looking for a clean room with a fridge, coffee maker, microwave and BBQ outside, so that you can relax in the backyard watching the manatees you can't go wrong here. We will go back
- M & J (10/5): Beautiful patio with manatees! - We were pleased with the staff - very kind and fun to talk to! The room was adequate and worth the price we paid. Especially when we just needed a place to sleep.
- Carla (10/5): awesome stay - excellent, chill vibe, great friendly people, clean and very comfortable.
- Kenneth (8/5): Suprisingly comfortable motel right of US 1 - Maybe because we got a recently renovated room, but it was surprisingly clean and comfortable. The proprietor was very helpful in giving tips on things to do and local restaurants. And of course the motel is very dog-friendly, which is why we chose it as we have a small dog that always travels with us. Be aware - no breakfast at the motel so you have to drive to even get coffee. We recommend the Pinecrest Bakery in Key Largo - great cuban coffee and pastries to start the day.
- jacob (10/5): - Place was above my expectations and people were very friendly and felt like home and family.
- Jackie (10/5): A really nice place to stay. - This motel is a mom/pop operation that provides excellent service, goes above and beyond and makes you feel at home.
It is a small motel that has a fantastic patio area on a canal with great atmosphere and staff that do everything to make your stay excellent.
The rooms were clean and comfortable.
- susanne (10/5): Great pet hotek - the owners are so sweet and make you feel right at home. had a great stay and will definitely be back again. my dogs had a great time and were very happy. the owners are amazing. it is a must stop for sure.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Amazing Customer Service - We stayed here for two nights on our trip to Islamorada. The owners are very sweet and super friendly and welcoming. The location is excellent, with manatees off the back patio area.
- David (4/5): - This motel was not only not close to the beach or any other body of water other than a small canal, it was not near anything very useful. Restaurants, beaches, swimming pools or anything else one would want to do in the Keys are way far away. Spend a little extra money (this place was not inexpensive) and find a good chain hotel like the Marriot.
David Butt
- Payana (8/5): Small but nice - Small room but neat room and bath room. Bathroom was spacious. Daily room service. Issue with bathroom door knob; lacked lock / latch. Sweet owner; great location. Parking space available.
- Ceci (6/5): Hotel Conch on Inn. - The beds are not too confortable. The AC is old and doesn't cool too mych. The motel is across the street from the Highway and We could hear the traffic all night long.
Nothing to do after it gets dark.😞
- Wayne J (10/5): An old fashion keys hotel
- If you're looking for fancy go the Marriott, if you want to relax and enjoy the keys this is the place. NO pool, close to snorkeling, fishing , shopping and good food(high end and low end) Owners are friendly and pet friendly, definitely a work in progress, but the atmosphere makes up for it all.
- Alan (4/5): Needs a lot of updating - The room we had ( room 2) Was clean but very very tired. The bathroom however was not good at all with no plug in the basin and the taps completely encased in lime scale. We did not see the owners but left them a note telling them of our disappointment with cell and email to respond but to date have had no reply. Very disappointing.
- Kirk (10/5): - Nice, peaceful, comfortable, relaxing stay on a beautiful island. Owners of motel were very helpful and friendly, made me feel welcome.
- Robert (10/5): Great for the value and personal interest of owner - The proprietors took real genuine interest in the safety and comfort of me and my family. Recent renovations improve the overall look and feel of the property. We would highly recommend and definitely stay again if we are ever in the area. Can't beat the price for the space and amenities.
