Guest Reviews
- Pawan (9/5): Had a great 3 nights stay. Breakfast was amazing! Staff were so friendly and welcoming. - Location of the property from where you can have a nice view of the Phewa lake. Slightly larger room for a family of 3 would have been excellent.

- Clark (8/5): -
- Tenphel (10/5): -
- Van Der Merwe (5/5): - Staff are amazing and super helpful. Location was fantastic. The room was outdated. The shower was broken. Facilities were tired.
- Dechchen (7/5): -
- Djo (5/5): Overpriced but comfortable - A very expensive hotel, even at discount off peak season, we agreed with ourselves there would be better value for money at other cheaper hotels. Pool is nice, facilities like the gym and spa are well equipped and nice treatments. The room: comfortable, clean, nice balcony. Breakfast is great but crowded when full. Coffee needs improving. When you're spending that much on a hotel you expect things to be perfect or as close to it, this isn't the case here. Half the staff were so friendly, hard working and professional, and half the staff were meandering, aimless and distant. The worst bit by far was the EXTREMELY OVERPRICED and poor laundry service, do not get your clothes washed with them. They ruined 4 shirts with grey and blue spots and made the white clothes grey. Since when does laundry come back more dirty than it arrived. We gave them 2 big bags of laundry which in the UK would have cost maximum £15/2800 rupees but with them it cost £42/7800rupees, they then argued with us about the stains and made it difficult to get any money off the bill. The Blue-Suits bosses with their fancy shirts and shoes would not accept dirty laundry back if it came to them, but when we had an issue these Big Blue-Suits were very reluctant to compensate us. We also caught it being said that if we got any money off our laundry then it would be the laundry staff who would suffer as it would come out of their wages, if this is true then this is horrendous and if it's not true then are they lying to make us feel guilty about wanting to be compensated for ruining our clothing.
All in all it's an ok hotel but overpriced on everything.
- Bing Yang (1/5): Unsafe stay- Bag stolen from my room and hotel refused to help properly. - I will never recommend anyone come to this hotel, simply UNSAFE. Unsafe stay- item stolen from my room and hotel refused to help properly.
During my stay at this hotel, my Arc’teryx parka (down jacket worth USD 1200) was stolen from inside my locked guest room. I reported this to the hotel manager three times, but they were very reluctant to handle the situation seriously. Instead of helping investigate, they simply told me to contact my insurance.
My insurance company required a police report, and I asked the hotel to assist me with reporting the case to the local police (in their language). Unfortunately, the hotel refused to help with this as well.
This caused me serious inconvenience as it happened the day before my ACT trek, when I urgently needed my jacket. It is especially disappointing because I trusted this hotel enough to book my entire trip with them under the name Himalaya-Xtri. While I was pushing myself hard in the race, the hotel is ongoing stolen, and chose to avoid taking responsibility and did not handle the incident transparently.
Overall, I did not feel safe or supported as a guest, and I cannot recommend this hotel based on my experience.

Food was of very poor quality. The breakfast spread was below average. The reception lost our room keys and blamed us for losing it. Overall a very poor stay. Very overpriced hotel.

- Shawkat (8/5): A nicely located hotel with queit location. Good value for money - It was right on the Lakeside Avenue where most of the hotels are located in Pokhara.
however, Mount Kailash is located a bit away from the most happening part of Lakeside Avenue, a 8-10 minutes walk from the hotel. However, you will find restaurant and shops right after getting out. But the most happening part/point is few minutes walk.
The rooms were spacious. We asked for two connecting rooms and were provided with.
The breakfast was very good with enough choice of items. Would rate breakfast 8 out of 10.
Staffs were helpful.
The swimming pool looked good. Didn't use it though because the weather was cold!
They also have spa and other services. Didn't use them also though. You need to take stairs as there is no lift. the hotel has two tower buildings (4 storied each) and you may find it inconvenient if you have issues with climbing stairs or if your rooms are at the higher floors. Our rooms were on the 2nd floor so it was tolerable. :-)
- Akhilesh (7/5): we stayed 2 night except the food overall stay was ok - location is good no lift, foods are so so
- Gridiron (7/5): A good place to rest after a trek - Location was good and the breakfast was fine. Stairs up to the rooms, but then again, only 4 floors, so not that bad. Was after a 12 day trek, so the leggies were a bit worn out :p (and the bags were big!)
- Ankita (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ramnandan (1/5): Bad -
- Anonymous (5/5): Passable -
- Rajchal (10/5): Exceptional -
- Aalok (8/5): Very good -
- Ethel (8/5): Very good - Nice hotel, good location. Staff very attentive especially Ayushma which had very good English and was very helpful. Rooms need a little bit more of attention, small things but they will make a difference
- Phillip (8/5): friendly staff, eager to serve. very helpful. see points above. - big rooms. clean and well kept noisy building works next door ( till mid 2023)
only one bedside table for a super king bed
- Yogandren (10/5): - Amazing staff and the best hotel in Nepal for their hot shower!!
- Koko (9/5): Very pleasant stay; price/ quality excellent - Staff members were very polite and they did the best they could to make my stay comfortable. The swimming pool is very nice and well maintained.
- David (8/5): Fair - Fair standard.
- Lisa Getz (10/5): Definitely worth a stay! - Beautiful hotel situated just on the edge of the busier portion of the tourist street. Just a few minutes of walking and you can be in the center of things.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Pool under CONSTRUCTION, noisy, + other issues - We chose this hotel as a splurge treat, after staying in a budget hotel in Kathmandu. It is advertised as having a nice pool, spa and calls itself a resort. Upon arrival we were notified that the pool was under construction to enlarge it, but they would take us somewhere else if we really needed to swim. What?? It is not stated on the hotel website that the pool is closed, so we felt duped. To top this, they gave us two rooms OVERLOOKING and LISTENING to the construction (starting at 8:00 a.m.) Our second room's air conditioning was not working. After notifying them, the maintenance man came and pushed some buttons on the remote and said it was working now. He hadn't done anything we hadn't already tried and nothing changed. The next morning, he came again and climbed a ladder, fussed with it a bit and said, there, now it's working. It was not. My husband had to go and demand a new room. They finally admitted it needed to have a repair from the company and moved my sister and kids down the hall. OH, and the spa I was looking forward to? It was right next to the construction noise and mess of the pool, so not a relaxing atmosphere at all. We were told they could not refund a night's stay for us, because we had prepaid through Expedia. They offered to extend our stay one extra night for free, which we could not take advantage of since we were flying the next day.
Also, you must go outside to get to your room and back to the lobby, so if it's raining, that's a pain.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Better than average hotel at a very reasonable price point.
Too bad about he marble hallway flooring, which amplifies noise transmitted into rooms.
Otherwise quite pleasant, 3-star hotel.
- Victor (10/5): Beautiful hotel with a magnificent view of the mtn - Very professonal and super courteous staff. Loved view of Himalayans right there at your window and terrace. Also good location to shopping area.
- Dinesh Kumar (6/5): Stay At Mount Kaliash - Overall stay was pleasant and good...Staffs are good and they have welcomed us...Rooms was clean, spacious and we'll maintained..
Generally hotel allows for late check out but even after we requested they haven't allowed for late check out...
Location was good and close to Lake also you could able to view the annapuruna mountain sunrise...
- Michel et Natha (8/5): Très belle expérience - La chambre étais très bien et le personnel de l'hôtel es très bien
- Jaromir (6/5): Vyborny hotel - Jeden z nejlepsich hotelu v Pokhare. Pokoj opravdu dobry, cisty, evropsky standart. V centru a pritom malicko stranou. Jen bazen, ktery me nalakal, byl zrovna zavreny. Jinak vrele doporucuji. Cena je na Nepal trochu vyssi. Ale odpovida.
- Delvinder (8/5): - Nice people and staff.. A little dissapointed with the food.. Very expensive
- Alkesh (8/5): Nice property on the lake front - Property is good, but the staff is untrained. It was raining and the staff refused to give room service. The banquet manager was also in support of the waiter. Very average breakfast.
