We arrived at the hotel at 7am and they were very concerned about my well-being and let us go to our room in stead of 3pm. They could not do enough for us. • mfrancoisereding (10/5): Very quirky hotel with awesome staff - We arrive late and were welcomed by the ‘night manager ‘ on duty . Jay ,was very efficient checking us in and even took us to our room. Thank you all for putting flowers and cake and decorations for our anniversary. All staff had decorated our room which was a lovely touch. Clean and well equiped, we stayed for one night only and would definitely recommend it. Shower is basic but worked well . Breakfast was included so went in the morning down the alley and had a great breakfast . The lady. Who served us was awesome and very helpful . The hotel is very “quirky’ as it is located in the part of what used to be an old temple full of history and artefacts. The next day we had a late flight and could leave a suitcase in reception and the best thing was that they organise for us the availability of a room where we could have a shower and refresh before we went to the airport. That was awesome. This is available in the hotel next door and I believe the hotel. Amoy has a partnership with that hotel so we can use the facilities and if you have time you can also use the swimming pool and sport centre. Another thing is that this hotel is located near Chinatown like five minute walk in about 15 minute walk to the Key attractions around the corner such as the gardens in the bay ..fantastic Awesome service will definitely recommend this hotel.

• tonv343 (10/5): Charming boutique hotel in a perfect location! - We love the hotel, Location is perfect - 5-10 minutes walk to 4 of the best hawker centres (Lau Pa Sat, Amoy, Hong Lim, Market St). Or if you prefer a higher standard, lots of bars and restaurants next door - Boat Quay is only 8 minutes away. The entrance to the hotel is a small museum reflecting the history of this quaint place. This might confuse new guests on arrivals, as it has a high wooden threshold. Once you’re familiar with the area, you can use the back entrance and the nearby Clan Hotel for easy Grab or Taxi drop-off and pickup. Rooms are efficiently laid out, and although we had no view, there was plenty of light during the day. Nice shower, and plenty of small things like a free minibar and some snacks to make the stay even more pleasant! Staff are super helpful and they even helped us to pull our suitcases to the pickup point!

The hotel is ideally located in Chinatown and within close proximity to downtown, which made it very convenient to explore the area. The room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained, providing a relaxing place to unwind. Most notably, the staff were exceptional—attentive, professional, and happy to assist with every detail to ensure a pleasant stay. Overall, this was a wonderful experience, and I would gladly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for comfort, great service, and an excellent location.

• Swap29 (10/5): Lovely stay and great staff - Lovely Stay and the accommodation is perfect for a solo traveller like me. The staff Adham, Thomas, Jay, Shirley, Nadyah, Xue Qi, Sabrina were great. Since I came to Singapore for a racing cycling event. The staff made me very comfortable as I carried my cycle. They took care of it and very kindly gave me a card wishing me all the best for the race and also gave isotonic drinks and banana!! I am very touched by their kind hospitality

• FrequentFlier447031 (10/5): Great boutique hotel - This is a fabulous hidden gem of a boutique hotel in a great location near Chinatown. Very nice updated rooms with all the amenities. Coffee bar, in room drinks and snacks and breakfast all included. There is even a museum on the property that used to be a temple that covers a bit of Chinatown history. The greatest part though is the staff and service. We were welcomed with a smile, a cold towel and a cup of tea. The desk clerk helped us take our bags to the room and told us all about the place. She gave us discount coupons for the Chinatown heritage museum that included a free cup of tea at Amatcha Throughout our three day visit the staff was extraordinarily helpful and when we left the desk clerk took our bags to the pickup point for our ride to the airport and waited with us until we were picked up! Breakfast is served at a little restaurant about 100 feet down the way and it’s delicious. Great value, great place, great service. A home run!!

We arrived late and only had one day to see a very long list of “must see”! They spent ages (definitely more than an hour!) going over our walking, bus, MRT options and recommendations. Nothing was too much trouble.

• danielle (10/5): Amazing! Rooftop infinity pool access! Quiet, beautiful, stunning. - AMAZING! I am so glad I booked this, it was amzing and is linked to the sister hotel so you can use their rooftop infinity pool! The staff were amazing, cold hand towel and traditional tea on arrival at reception. Room was fantastic - lots of amazing dtails. Bed was so comfy and room was very quiet. Reception staff were amazing, heard I was only staying a few days and offered to book me on a free walking tour of Chinatown, highly recommend. The temple part of the hotel is truely beautiful. This totaly exceeded my expectations! everything was great :D

The location is perfect, downtown, with a MRT stop across the street, and so much within walking distance. Everyone was kind and helpful, from the moment we arrived, serving us a welcome cup of tea, stowing our bags until check in, walking with us to breakfast on our first morning, having breakfast ready for us on our last day, and helping us with our bags to our taxi as we left. The fan is a beautiful gift that I will cherish as a reminder of our visit to Singapore. Thank you!

There were small impracticalities. Not enough space for your clothes, things. And no hangers and not a single carpet on the floor.

• Jacktheprof (10/5): What a Fabulous Experience: Wonderful Staff, Great Room, So Clean and Quiet - The location was great. The atmosphere was perfect. The room was sensational (303). Good value. Very clean and quiet. But the service! Oh, the service!!! It was EXCEPTIONAL. Every person who worked there was unfailingly helpful, above and beyond! Truly, they were unbelievable! I am 77 years old and somewhat crotchety and slightly handicapped. The breakfast was excellent, also. I tried to back out of the included breakfast before I arrived, when I read I had to go elsewhere. It turns out that "elsewhere" was n EXTREMELY short and pleasant stroll to a fabulous outdoor cafe in a kind of arcade. I had an English breakfast every morning with coffee and juice. It totally filled me up. Adahm, the duty manager, was so kind to me when checking in. Xue Qi, Guest Services Executive, came up to my room several times to help me with things. Sheirly, also a GSE, helped me with my luggage and ordered a taxi for me. The duty Manager Ivena was extremely great, too. All in all, I couldn't have been happier.

The location was great, very close to where we wanted to be in Singapore during the first couple of days. Lau Pa Sat and Marina Bay Sands were nearby, as well as nice cafes and bars right outside the hotel with a nice crowd. What made the experience stand out was the kindness, helpfulness and overall attitude of the staff. Big thanks to Ivena, Adham, Thomas, Jay, Nadyah, Sheirly, Xue Qi and Sabrina - they have been adorable and hospitable!! I also really appreciate the kind AMOY gift upon our check out ♥️ Would definitely recommend for anyone visiting Singapore!

A good central location to use as a HUB - Great location, walking distant to Chinatown, Raffles area, Merlion and Telok Ayer MTR that takes you straight to Marina Bay area. Staff was friendly, room was clean. I wish it would have brighter lights but it worked out. I would stay there again.

HU" (synonymous with OH). As always people make the place and Jay and His Perfectly toned voice to Ivena's ready smile at my departure ~ warmed me. So touched by the Gifts of Tea & Amoy Fan too. The charming hotel is 75m next to Telok Ayer MRT station in an old Chinese temple, the rooms in some of the old Singaporean houses. Breakfast is served in a café 50m away on Far East Square. The staff has been very attentive and friendly and the minibar always been stocked for free. I wish I could have stayed even longer and I already miss the Kopi C from the stall just across the hotel entrance.

• Mobile224695 (10/5): A very comfortable stay in a traditional hotel - I had az amazing stay at Amoy recently for a week abd would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a unique hotel experience with attentive service. I requested a quiet room, being a light sleeper so I only had views to a back lane, rather than the street, but I was very happy with this. The place was very clean and serviced daily. I loved staying in an old (but very comfortably updated) traditional shophouse but still having access to the gym & pool on Level 30 of the sister Hotel Clan, right next door. The location is great too, you are within walking distance to 4 different MRT stations and numerous bus stops. Taxi/Grab drop off is at the Clan but their concierge are also super helpful. There are fantastic bars & restaurants at your doorstep. The staff at Amoy definitely go out of their way to make you feel welcome and ensure that every need is met. Special shout out to Shierly, Xue Qi, Jay, Thomas, Sabrina, Nadyan and Adham for the amazing free tour of the temple and history of the area. Thanks guys. I'll definitely be back!

Lots of very long winding hallways to find your room, and there's no drinking water in sight. The place was definitely overpriced for the services and size.

• 192jaey (10/5): Unique heritage hotel - We stayed at Amoy Hotel by Far East Hospitality during our family trip to Singapore in March 2026, and it was a really memorable experience. The location is excellent. The hotel is right next to Telok Ayer MRT station, which made it very convenient for us to travel around the city with kids. Chinatown, Lau Pa Sat, and many restaurants are within walking distance, so finding food was never a problem. One thing we loved is the unique design of the hotel. It is built within the Fuk Tak Chi Museum, which gives it a special historical atmosphere that feels different from typical modern hotels in Singapore. The entrance is quite discreet, but once inside it feels quiet and cozy. The rooms are not very large, but they are very clean, well designed, and comfortable for a short stay. The bed was comfortable and the amenities were good. We also appreciated the complimentary minibar and small welcome snacks. The staff were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Check-in was smooth, and they were always ready to help with directions or recommendations. Breakfast is served at a nearby café instead of inside the hotel. The options were simple but tasty, and it was nice to experience a local café atmosphere in the morning. Overall, Amoy Hotel is a great choice if you want a boutique hotel with character in a very convenient location. It may not have large facilities.

I happened to spend my birthday here cause my flight got cancelled unexpectedly. They prepared a small surprise for me which really made up for my day. Love it!!! • kabout2018 (10/5): Ne plus ultra! This hotel deserves higher than excellent for hospitality! - We chose this boutique hotel since we wanted something smaller and personal and we got it! The hotel is incorporated into historical Chinatown buildings so you won't get an impersonal high rise hotel and the rooms may be a bit different, but that is the charm. The staff at this hotel goes above and beyond expectations to make the guests feel at home. I never ever received a personalized birthday card and cake from a hotel anywhere in the world,... but I did here. I need to call out the entire hotel staff for a job well done, but especially Xue Qi and Jay for making this a hotel experience of a lifetime!!

• Kristina (8/5): A nice place with character in a very central yet quiet location - At first sight, the place made a very good impression. It is nicely furnished and thoughtfully decorated, giving the apartment a lot of character and a warm atmosphere. The location is very central, which made it easy to reach everything. The metro is right next to the hotel, which makes getting around the city very convenient. Despite being in such a central area, it is situated in a very quiet zone, so the nights were peaceful and silent. The apartments could be cleaned better. There were centimeters of dust behind the bed, and there was black mold in the bathroom. The mold may be difficult to avoid due to the hot and humid conditions, especially since the windows in the rooms cannot be opened. This means that moisture and steam from the bathroom stays in the room. The rooms are also rather small and could benefit from having wardrobes or more storage space...
• annpan (10/5): Such a beautiful hotel - What a beautiful hotel this is. Our stay was magical from the minute we arrived through the museum part. Sabrina was the receptionist on duty, and she greeted us with a smile, a refreshing towel and a cup of tea before she took us up to our room on the 4th floor. What a fantastic room, everything you could want, coffee machine, kettle and a range of tea and coffee, drinks in the fridge. The decor fitted in with the style of the hotel perfectly. The lift was fast, we heard no noise whatsoever, bed was so comfy, loved it. Our breakfast was in the cafe outside, oh my what a choice to choose from. I fell in love with the kaya toast, daughter far more adventurous, omlettes, granola and more for her. Sabrina also gave us the museum tour during our stay, it was lovely to learn all about the history of the building, felt so honoured to be able to stay here. As it was Chinese new year, we had a go with writing Chinese script, that was fun. Before leaving we used the sister hotel, round the corner, The Clan, to use their shower facilities. Very nice to be able to freshen up for our long flight home. Sabrina again helped and organised our taxi to take us to the airport, which we caught by the clan again. The staff were all very helpful with any queries we had about traffic times to the zoo, places to visit etc. The Amoy is a truly wonderful hotel, we had a fantastic stay here, and we are both looking forward to coming back here again next year. Thank you for making our stay so memorable.

• D5575GUlorrainem (10/5): Everything you need is provided. We had a lovely stay - We have had a wonderful stay at Amoy Hotel. Beautifully old and historic building. The staff were amazing. So helpful and obliging. The Hotel itself is very central to China Town and the train station.

• nais19 (10/5): Small and friendly boutique hotel - A lovely small hotel, in a good spot. Lovely staff, who are very eager to make sure your stay is a good one. Although breakfast not in the hotel it was only a few steps away and was enjoyable. Room was spotlessly clean, but maybe the layout could have been better and not quite as pictured on their website. Couldn't open the windows in the room we were in, but assume there was a valid reason for this. I would stay here again if I travelled to Singapore again.
• TimTravelAround (10/5): Great place to stay - This is a great place to stay for easy access to the main sites in Singapore. The hotel and room was spotless and the staff were excellent. Highly recommended.
• Rachael Jacob (10/5): - Loved the vibes - was giving traditional Loved that the hotel opens up to a mini museum before you rwach reception! The staff were also extremely helpful - I left my passport in a driver's car and the staff helped me contact the driver and were patient with me while waiting through this whole ordeal! The room was also very cozy and cute. I loved how environmentally conscious the hotel was, especially with all the labelled reminders around the room. Great experience! Nothing - great experience overall!
• travellerinsurrey (10/5): Great experience - Good location close to a Hawker Centre and MRT. Great to stay in a hotel with history. Great room with comfortable bed and pillows. Very clean and quiet. Excellent and helpful service and nice amenities.
