NewportBeachMomma (10/5): Shore Luxury - Stayed here while visiting family. Warm welcome, well-appointed rooms. Only five star hotel in Stone Harbor. Turn down service includes nightly treats--lemon bar and brownie. Breakfast menu has traditional and healthy options (or visit Uncle Bill's or the Fishin' Pier). Room service quick and nicely presented. Convenient location where you can walk to the beach, shops and restaurants.

gm1931 (2/5): This hotel is an embarrassment - Never stay here. We booked a same day reservation a few hours ago. We were half way to the hotel when someone named Kelly called noting a “walk in” booked the same room “the same time we did”. She told us there was no room for us. She was incredibly rude and not apologetic. Later in the call she told us the “walk in booked before us in the day”. She repeatedly told us we must have booked through a third party. I assured her that I booked on the Reeds Website and she questioned me multiple times. She accused us of “bullying her” over the phone and proceeded to hang up on us. The level of customer service is beyond appalling. I would NEVER visit this place ever again. I now have a hysterical 3rd year old crying in the car that he can’t go to the beach today 1.5 hours away from my house.

marysg2017 (6/5): First time visit… probably the last - The concept of this hotel is amazing but in reality, not so much. I planned a family vacation since our adult sons both had monumental birthdays this year. I was referred to The Reeds by someone who had stayed here in the past. He suggested we not spend the exorbitant amount of money on a VRBO in Stone Harbor where I would most likely be cooking and straightening up constantly, and treat ourselves to a stay here. Our one son and daughter in-law arrived early and were granted an early arrival at no extra cost. (Great start!) Fortunately for us they alerted us to the road construction at the corner where the hotel sits, which interfered with the hotels valet parking as the road was closed. Upon our arrival next we were checked in effortlessly but not given any instructions of the hotel offerings. (Perhaps because there is a concierge? But no one was there when we arrived) However I was concerned for our second son and his late arrival so I inquired at the front desk that assured me it would ok. I had to walk out to the valet attendant to discuss parking for late arrivals. I chatted with the nice young man (forget his name but he was the evening guy on June 10,2025) ) who was very kind to offer to stay a half hour later than his workday end time to accommodate our sons late arrival. He also gave specific instructions on what to do in the event our son’s late arrival was held up longer than expected. Overall the rest of the staff was helpful in that if you asked, they answered. But that was it. No introduction to any amenities . I was told about the property “passport” the day before we left (and the staff member was shocked that we were not informed of it when we checked in) The one exception would be the driver to and from the beach. He was VERY informative and warm. We felt like he was a part of our family by the time we left! Shout out to him ! (Who’s name I don’t remember either but worked all day the week of June 10,2025) The rooms we had were clean. We had the suite on the bay side of the main building and our sons had the standard room with city view. They thought their rooms to be small. Our suite was plenty big and I have no complaints. The cost was high but the view was well worth it! However to pay almost $1000 a night for the standard rooms in the supposed “off season” was not worth it in my opinion. Water sports were included, however, which was fun for our sons. When we were leaving I was told we would receive an invoice via email . After having to inquire via email as to where my invoice is I received an email back saying they sent it but while doing that they discovered that I had paid in full through Expedia (in February) for the 2 standard rooms and again at the hotel and that they would reimburse me. (I booked the suite on the Reeds website) They eventually did but it took quite some time. I, however am still waiting on that itemized invoice for SIX weeks and 3 requests now.

Nice to have golf cart transport to beach and beach chairs and umbrella included. . However we were visiting family who had a condo one mile away. Had to walk each way as no parking for our car on streets and no other form of transport. The tv was not working right and I wanted to watch wimbledon. I eventually figured it out but reception was poor. If you want to be in the heart of it all on Stone Harbor, then it is the place to be. I should have stayed further from downtown to be closer to my family. Would be less expensive, bigger room and closer to beach with pool.
billcJ7431NE (6/5): Pros & Cons - A mixed bag, honestly. We had a balcony room (city view) with King Bed in the Spa Building. First, the positives: nice vibe. Clean hotel in a great location in the wonderful town of Stone Harbor. Easy to walk around. Hotel staff were super friendly. Hotel is modern and clean. Air conditioning works well. Golf carts to/from the beach were provided and were fun. The beach staff were also awesome and super attentive. Wait staff in the restaurants were friendly as well. The restaurant and bar are on the water - which is really nice. Negatives: once you factor in the room charge, occupancy tax, resort fee and Cabana package - our room was $1K a night. We knew that going in (we had pre-paid) and were fine with it - but, when you charge those rates - the experience needs to match that level. The restaurant food wasn't great. Breakfast was just bad - with cold eggs and cold potatoes. We were the only ones there. (Hint: the next day we went across the street to Uncle Bill's Pancake House- it's awesome and packed.) Dinner in the Water Star Grille was average. The 2nd night we ate at their Mexican restaurant next door - and that was good, though. Also, the hotel can't control this - but the street is very noisy..with delivery trucks starting deliveries at 4:30AM both days. (Note: we were there during the week...so this might not be applicable on a weekend.) Finally, if you get the Cabana package and the promised $50 Beach lunch credit - watch to make sure you actually receive the credit. It's not itemized on the bill and when we asked - they told us "it's already credited on your invoice". But, it wasn't and after asking them to where it was credited - the Manager advised two days after we checked out that the credit was built incorrectly so they had to manually apply the credit once we were home (and only after we chased). She said they also brought this up with their Revenue Manager. We hope they are able to fix this for future guests. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. But, not sure we'd go back.
V4939VXchristinab (2/5): Overpriced, Underwhelming, and Totally Unacceptable – Avoid at All Costs - We spent $1100 for one night expecting a luxury experience. What we got was a disaster. First, the air conditioner was mounted in the ceiling directly above the bed, and leaked water on our heads all night long. Not a drip here or there — we were actually woken up multiple times by water hitting our faces. We called the front desk — no answer. Called the concierge — also no response. No follow-up, no apology, no service whatsoever. The room itself? Dull, generic, and without even basic amenities. There was no bottled water, no minibar, not even a glass in the bathroom. When I called earlier to ask about water, the front desk said they would try to get the restaurant to send up two cups. Not a bottle, not a pitcher — cups. At over $1,000 a night, this is laughable. To top it all off, the pool was closed for the entire evening due to a private event — no advance notice whatsoever. One of the key reasons we booked this hotel was to relax by the pool after traveling. Instead, it was off-limits, completely taken over, and guests were left out in the cold (literally and figuratively). This hotel masquerades as luxury but offers nothing close to it. No hospitality, no comfort, no accountability. Absolutely not worth the money. If you’re looking for service, amenities, or even a dry pillow — look elsewhere.

mec534 (10/5): Exceptional Personal Service - The Reeds at Shelter Haven is an exceptional hotel. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly greeted by the friendly staff. Nicole, the concierge, and Diane, the Guest Service Manager went above and beyond to answer questions and accommodate our requests. We experienced the same welcoming & relaxing atmosphere at the Spa. McKinsey and Ren scheduled our services and thoughtfully gave us a tour, pointing out the additional amenities included.

Verified traveler (6/5): be careful when you book your room - When I checked in, I was given a room that was not originally assigned to me. Although it was an upgrade, I questioned the change and hotel staff told me that no this was fine and was the room I was supposed to get. After two nights of my three nights stay I get a phone call from the front office, telling me I need to check out of this room as it has been promised to someone else. Do not misunderstand, I was staying in a room that was very nice, but did not reflect the rate I paid as I paid a lower rate but… I questioned this two times and was told it was OK… Until it wasn’t . The hotel tried to compensate us with another room but by this time I had had enough. Moving to another room for one night was out of the question. I have never felt more uncomfortable ever. I have been coming to the Avalon/Stone Harbor area for over 35 years and have never been this disappointed

ronrica (8/5): Nice hotel in a great location, with one concern - The Reeds is a nice hotel with a good atmosphere. The reception is on the corner of the block entrance which was a little confusing if you walk into the main entrance on the Avenue. It gets very crowded at the bar on the main floor which makes it super tight to get around weaving in between people. We were there for a wedding which was organized well. Our guest room was across the street and roomy. The bed was comfortable and toiletries were minimal. We didn’t have time to enjoy their facilities much but they do have a gym. The food at the wedding was very good and the service was wonderful. Cusps to the staff for their hospitality. My one complaint is the quality of soap products in the shower stall. There is a synthetic preservative called Methylisothiazolinone, which is commonly used in cosmetics and soap products like shampoo and facial cleansers. This harmful ingredient was in their liquid soap/ shampoo products except for the soap bar. I am highly allergic to this and it causes contact dermatitis. I have learned that this is not uncommon in others but they may not be aware of the allergic reaction unless they get tested like I was. This particular synthetic preservative is banned in Europe because of how harmful it is and long term effects. My advice for these high end hotels: invest in safe and organic toiletry products, especially shampoos, conditioners, soaps, etc. You may standout more for your selection of brands that produce risk-free products.

MirandaLand (10/5): STELLAR BIRTHDAY at THE REEDS!!! - When my Mom heard rumors that Steven Spielberg was shooting a new UFO movie in her hometown of Woodbine, she wanted to jump in the car and drive down there to see if she could catch a glimpse of the filming, the stars, or even the director himself! As luck would have it, the filming was scheduled to take place during my birthday week! Spending my birthday aimlessly driving around the pine barrens stalking celebrities was NOT my idea of a good time, but then again, without my mother, I would not have been born, and thus, there would not have been a birthday to celebrate, so in the spirit of cooperation and compromise, I agreed to go on this fool's errand IF and only IF we could stay at a luxurious hotel with a spa where I would book a facial that would make me look and feel younger, in order to soften the sledgehammer blow of being yet another year older. The Reeds at Shelter Haven fit the bill, and I booked a 2-night stay. You've heard it said that no good deed goes unpunished? On my birthday, that's exactly what happened. First, we learned that the spa was closed on Tuesdays & Wednesdays (spa schedule was not listed anywhere when we booked). My birthday fell on a Tuesday so we had to leave our spacious well-appointed room and sumptuous hotel beds (which were just as relaxing and comfortable as all the reviews say they are) and drive down to the spa in Cape May to get my facial, where Mom had a medical emergency and adamantly refused treatment at the local hospital due to negative childhood memories, despite the well-reasoned logical pleas of three EMTs, a concerned spa attendant, and me. I was on pins and needles for the remainder of the evening and the next day, wondering what on earth would happen next. I felt the weight of the world on my shoulders. But then I remembered that I wasn't alone. I thought of how kind the bartender had been to me, who made sure I got my order in before the kitchen closed and the night watch lady who offered my coffee the first night we arrived. And the gracious valet who went the extra mil. And the helpful informative front desk people. And the concierge, who, when I let it slip that it was my birthday, left a special treat (Douglass truffles) in our room. And the dining room staff who had dealt with all my Mom's questions and special requests like it was no trouble at all. Before we checked out, I went downstairs and enlisted EVERYONE's help, informing them that Mom was NOT ok, despite any of her protests to the contrary, and that I needed take-out from the restaurant, assistance loading the car, and the keys placed in my hand, because over my dead body was she driving home. This was NOT easy for me. I hate attention, hate making scenes, hate drama and here I am playing Best Supporting Actress in my Mom's drama. (Where was Steven Spielberg then??) But I felt like everyone empathized with me, everyone understood, everyone GOT IT!!!! The concierge apologized even though she did nothing wrong (she did everything 100% perfectly, and I don't even believe in perfection). The front desk lady made sure I had extra coffee while I waited for Mom to come down to the lobby. The dining room staff accommodated our every request to the best of their ability (they had run out of smoked salmon). The valet hugged me before I finally got into the driver's seat after wrangling the keys away from Mom. While it was far from the peaceful relaxing seaside birthday I had been craving, this had nothing all to do with the quality of the accommodations and the caring attentiveness of the staff! When your vacation is idyllic and uneventful, you don't have much to write about in a review, but it's when things go totally haywire and spiralling out of control and you really need to rely on people that you find out what they're made of. When I got home and people asked me if I had seen some stars, my answer was YES!!! Because the REAL stars weren't out on some fake movie set that week - they were working at The Reeds at Shelter Haven:)

Nicole, the receptionist, was very accommodating and understanding 😁 Absolutely grateful for her! My only issue was the laundry system... I bagged my laundry for the staff to clean using their laundry bag that they provided but it was not taken care of; maybe I was unaware of the proper procedures. The other issue was the construction there during the time (which again, is not the property's fault), so I could not find a place to park other than street parking across the street, but there's no helping that.

J3781VIchristinec (10/5): Amazing couples getaway - Perfect couples getaway! We had the most amazing Valentine’s Day/ Birthday experience at The Reeds at Shelter Haven! From start to finish, we had an amazing experience. The prix fixe dinner was delicious with each course beautifully presented and our waiter was so knowledgeable and friendly (went above and beyond to take care of us). The spa experience was equally amazing. The Turkish bath was perhaps the best couples spa experience we have had- it was so relaxing, private and left our skin feeling so soft. The couples massage was awesome. Our massage therapists applied the right amount of pressure and were so accommodating. Highly recommend! The thoughtful touch of champagne and a white chocolate-covered strawberry bouquet in our room was the cherry on top of a romantic getaway. We had fun popping the cork and celebrating V day (which also happens to be my hubby’s bday). The Reeds truly offers a luxurious and intimate escape for couples. We’re already planning our next visit this summer, and we can’t wait to bring our kids along to enjoy all the family-friendly amenities. Highly recommend!

She asked that I remind the desk in the morning. The next day I spoke to another front desk clerk and she rejected my late check out. When I tried to explain that the staff last night approved it, she simply pushed back that there was “no way to give a late checkout.” This really is awful service and shows the disconnect that the front desk staff have with each other. I was very surprised. This interaction really makes me feel like my business does not matter and I will probably take pause before I book another room there.

Worst pull out I’ve ever slept on, which is saying a lot from a 24 y/o who travels a lot and sleeps in hostels, on couches, air mattresses, etc. Rest of hotel was beautiful and clean. Do not make anyone sleep on couch, book a bigger room. For being newly built and especially for the price, they should be ashamed of the quality of that pull out couch. Was like sleeping on metal bars with a sheet on top. Stayed in a junior suite with my sister and her husband and they had to pay an extra $40 for a third person in the room for “safety reasons.” $40 extra for the worst nights sleep I’ve ever gotten.

The staff was unfriendly and you would think the management would be pleasant and they are no where near. They treat their employees and customers awful. They put on a front that they are the best of the best when they are no where near it. Someone needs to inform the owners of what is really going on at this place because there is definitely a reason not many people come back. And probably even more of a reason that when I come back there is always a new staff…. must be a reason why no one ever stays. Someone please let the owners know before this place goes into shambles.

ddr663 (2/5): poor management - I'm very sad to leave a bad review as we have stayed at the Reeds before and had a very nice time. We even brought friends this time and would actually like to stay there again. The issue wasn't with the hotel itself, but managements handling of an issue and their persistence in IGNORING us. All they needed to do was contact us and maybe give us a fruit basket or a bottle of wine or something simple and I wouldn't be leaving this review. Our stay overall this time was very nice too, but it's completely clouded by the poor management and their lack of desire to keep their own word. When the incident happened the front desk person immediately informed us that we would be compensated in some way. They did offer to move us, but our friends were coming the next day and were appointed the room right next to us and we didn't want to repack. Not to mention the "problems" checked out that day so there was no need to move. The "problems" were a large group of unsupervised children being very loud and knocking on doors until 1;30am. I don't blame the Reeds for the noise, but they should have contacted the parents. I'm sure they had their phone numbers. I guess since we didn't want to move their offer of compensation was negated. I hope they will read this review and learn not to ignore guests.
TeamMan (10/5): Small, But Upscale Boutique Hotel - The hotel has a great location overlooking the bay and a variety of room options, including a suite with a balcony overlooking the bay, a king room facing the bay, a room with a balcony that has a town view. Your room includes complimentary valet parking and shuttle service to the beach where staff set up your chair and umbrella and provide towels and bottle water. The staff is warm and friendly and very helpful. We will be back

Water Star Grille brunch service was top notch, as was the food). But mostly surly and switched-off. At least get someone by the front reception to fake a smile! Valet was “interesting” too. I’ve never been barked at by a valet to “park it here & I’ll get to it later”. I know these guys have seen it all by summer’s end but still, guests are paying a VERY high price to stay here. Adapt a service demeanor. It helps with tips. (Some of the car valets were 👍). Rooms are still coastal-pretty & fresh. You need to have luck with your neighbors though - if they’re noisy you will suffer. Again, high-end rooms though some of my surfaces were sandy (just the closet shelf). Low quality bathroom amenities and I couldn’t scrounge up Q-tips from housekeeping. “We don’t have those”. K! I’m sad to say Reeds isn’t worth the money anymore. Not to me anyway. The location is vg and also-beach attendants were great.

ericmF1940RD (4/5): Lots of promise for a fancy hotel but it was a meh hotel at the end - Very nice hotel on the outside, we felt like we were staying in a Pottery Barn store, everything smelled good including the public spaces but service is extremely lacking. The front staff employees are not friendly and welcoming. None of them told us what the hotel offers. We just found everything ourselves after asking different times. The staff appear very young so are very inexperienced in customer service. They do not offer a smile when first greeted and they are quick tongued, defensive even, and are poor in actual service. There is no way that they will go out of their way or take the extra mile by anyone in this hotel to serve. They held our bags when we arrived early and when our room was ready, we were told that it will be delivered after offering the ticket to collect them, but the bags were never delivered when we got to the room so we called them to let them know that. Long story short, being in the spa building we had go outside, cross the street to collect the bags when they never had anyone deliver the bags after asking and waiting for at least 30 minutes in our room. No complimentary razor kits or toothbrush so do not bother to ask for them if you forget. Please do not expect the level of service one would have in a normal world where you pay $500+ per night. The only good service level experience that I can think of is the valet parking included in the room. We appreciate the fact that our EV vehicle is getting charged as we stayed in the hotel and to this, only to this, we thank you.

MichaelE848 (4/5): Nice but Overpriced - A very nice hotel but VERY OVERPRICED! Stone Harbor only has a few hotels, and all seem to be very expensive. The hotel is very clean, the staff are polite and professional. The Reeds is not a huge hotel by most standards, and is in the heart of downtown Stone Harbor. The rear deck area overlooks a lagoon, where the wedding service and follow-on reception was held. Both were extremely well-done by Reeds staff! Great hors d'oeuvres, a very competent bar staff, and the accompanying dinner was superb. Valet service upon arriving and departing was excellent. Although the wedding dinner was very good, friends who had breakfast in one of the restaurants did not give a good review. We had breakfast elsewhere. An annoying aspect upon checkin was that the Reeds added a $200 "contingency" charge to our credit card, just in case we used or damaged something during our stay. It did not clear until 5 days after checkout! Annoying!!!
paulgM8555DO (2/5): Filthy Room Accommodations and no Response - I am writing of our recent stay this June 2024 at the Reeds in Stone Harbor, NJ.. Our room, 311, was filthy and full of ants. There were ants in our bed, on the nightstand, in the bathroom, on clothing and on the walls and floor the ENTIRE stay. Also, the shower was quite disgusting… dirty and moldy, even though we were told it was dark grouting. When they finally sent someone to clean it, the difference was night and day. We reported the ants immediately as they were streaming in from a baseboard the first day. It was a continuous line. I called the front desk and a maintenance worker came up and sprayed a can of Raid along with placing 2 ant traps. However, that did not do the trick and the ants continued to be everywhere our entire stay. In addition, we pulled away the night stand and there was a crushed pill and candy wrapper from previous stays, indicating the room had not been properly cleaned. Plus there was dust everywhere. I did tell the front desk again about the ants but nothing further was done. Perhaps it was due to the fact that the pipes burst upon our arrival in the room down the hall and there was a 200 plus wedding party there as well. Obviously, we felt as though we were pushed to the back of the line. Upon checking out, I spoke with I believe Monique, who said she would have the manager reach out and call or email myself or my wife. She was wonderful and said this would be fully resolved and they’d have us back for a stay at no cost for the inconvenience. She then gave me the general manager and assistant general managers’ business cards. I proceeded to email them twice and have not heard back from either one of them now in three weeks. My wife then received a call from Diane who apologized and said we would be reimbursed for one night and be receiving a gift certificate to their restaurant that we could use on our next visit. It has now been 9 days since that call and my credit card has not been reimbursed nor have we received anything in the mail. It doesn’t take 9 days for a charge back to your credit card. We were very excited to try the Reeds, and for the price we paid (more than 3K), we expected a top-notch experience, which obviously we did not receive. I am a reasonable person and we thought the staff and amenities were fantastic. But the accommodations were just unacceptable. I am sure if you took your family on a vacation to a high-end resort and paid thousands of dollars, you would each have the same expectations of your living quarters. Customer service is the key to any good business and the management at the Reeds must not agree. Their silence and non-response to two emails speaks volumes. Safe to say we won’t be visiting there anytime soon. I highly recommend you look elsewhere before shelling out your hard earned money to stay here. There are better options.
Michele (6/5): - The pool and hot tub situation is not good; they need to implement an "adult hour" or something because there were small children jumping in and out of the pool and hot tub for hours preventing adults from enjoying this amenity. They need more transport to the beach; the wait time to and from is too long. Check in is confusing because if you enter next to the valet area, which is the most natural thing to do, as the door is right there, it's hard to find the reception area; they need signage or a person there to direct guests; it's not conducive to check in, and it's a bad first impression.

557hilaryh (2/5): Unbelievable for a supposedly nice hotel - Can the general manager please call me back? This is ridiculous. I'd much rather have resolved our issue than feel compelled to leave the below review. We couldn't stay due to a room flood and the communication has been impossible. We booked our room in JANUARY for a June stay and they called us the day of our arrival with news that our room had flooded and apparently they couldn't accommodate us in another room. They booked us at another hotel, which was nice of them to do, but required us to move rooms between the first and second night. They specifically said they'd "taken care of" arrangements for us elsewhere, and did not clarify when I specifically texted and thanked them for "covering" the new room that apparently they still expected US to pay for the new accommodations. If we knew we were going to have to pay for any of the cost of this inconvenience and at a hotel that was not as nice and not within walking distance from our, we would have handled things differently. I was particularly disappointed given I am 6 months pregnant and have a 4 year old, making travel difficult as it is -- so the added layers of complication on what was supposed to be a long-planned relaxing beach weekend within walking distance of ours friends' house made this all very disappointing. The hotel should own up to this and reimburse us entirely for all costs associated with the weekend. I've tried numerous times to talk to them about this to no avail. I've literally never written a negative Trip Advisor review before, but I cannot in good faith let others book this hotel without noting how impossible the management is, and, perhaps even more importantly, how you risk your room being cancelled that day.

329jlphamilton (4/5): Be Cautious! - We stayed at the Reeds for a few days in May to celebrate my husband's birthday. We have stayed at this hotel in the past. This year definitely was different. First I would like to thank Kiana, Diane and James for their professional services. If you have a problem while staying at the hotel you should contact Diane or Kiana. Both Diane and Kiana were so very kind and compassionate with our issues. We were suppose to hear from the Manager however, we never did. Our hotel room was always clean. The cleaning staff is amazing and cannot do enough for you. The Salt Water Grill was under construction. The bar was closed and there were just a few tables on the patio for service. This was disappointing. Had I known before I would have made other arrangements for a birthday celebration dinner. The bad - well it started at check in. After I checked into the hotel I walked away for a few seconds and I went back to ask the same person if someone was going to take our bags to our room and she looked at me puzzled and asked if we were checking in or checking out. What? Also the hotel lacked communication. While they have complimentary shuttle service to and from the beach, they failed to contact James several times before we finally got someone to radio him. It took over an hour to get a ride back to the Spa. This was in no way any fault of James. He could not apologize enough for not getting the message. This made us late for our Spa appointment. I asked if we can come back in the morning to use the steam and salt rooms and they told me no sorry we are booked solid. Really! First thing in the morning? For what we paid for a couples massage they should have allowed us to enjoy the facility. The lateness was not our fault and we were told, don't worry about it you will have time. My massage was the worst i ever experience. The massage therapists were rushed and wanted to leave since we were the last clients. However, while rushing through my massage my therapist failed to remember that I told her to stay away from my knees. Unfortunately she did not remember and two weeks plus later i am still in extreme pain. The therapist also pulled my legs apart very quickly and I was caught off guard. I'm not sure why she even did that. We also completed surveys from the hotel and spa however, no one has yet to reach out to us. Also, make sure you are not doubled billed. Please review your final bill at check out. I'm not sure why a high end hotel such as the Reeds did not have toner in the printer upon our departure. We were advised that a new Management team was hired. Hoping that they listen to guests. There was definitely a noticeable change from our last visit. In the past The Reeds was such a nice place to visit hoping things will get better in the future.

We spoke to a manager who said "NO" because this hotel is considered a sister hotel to the one in New Hope. Really? then don't use the term sister hotel as a perk to your hotel when its clearly not. Won't be ever using this hotel when there are so many other more reputable places to stay.

I have been in Stone Harbor for the fullness of a summer season, but I enjoyed it this time in the beauty and quiet of spring and the beautiful room and facilities of the Reeds at Shelter Haven.

michekara (10/5): Winter fun at the Reeds - Have stayed at the Reeds in the summer before but never in the off season and January is definitely the off season! Was not disappointed. The shore in the winter is a peaceful journey and visiting without the summer crowds was so enjoyable. The room was perfect. Exactly what we have experienced in the past. Little fridge and coffee bar in the room. Every coffee in the lobby. Restaurant and lobby bar were open as was Nemo’s next door, Fred’s across the street and a handful of other restaurants. And you cannot beat the free street parking. Stone Harbor has a different vibe in the winter. And the rate was so affordable! Would not hesitate to stay again in the winter.
