Diana (10/5): - Lovely characterful hotel. Very comfortable room with nice sitting area. Eccentric bathroom with no door so would not be good for friends sharing a room. Good breakfast and excellent evening meals. Perfect for our couple of chill out days by the river between city breaks

Patrick (10/5): Read this ! Sept 2025. - This place is undersold on the site. It is a 200 year old monastry with vaulted ceilings. The fit out is excellent. I had a family room with connecting door to kids......everything worked, everything was clean and the staff were friendly (not much english spoken but very smiley and willing to help. Didn't eat there in the evening but breakfast was lovely of a bit pricey at 18 euro. The town is also worth a walk around.

The converted 750 year old monastery was beautiful, cozy, quiet and within walking distance of restaurants and sights. It is an interesting town filled with historic sights and Incredible food. Gasthaus Haydnstuberl Inh.Stefan Weber was a wonderful restaurant. The Käsepätzle and Weiner Schnitzel vom Schwerin was amazing! We had the most delicious apple pie I have ever had at Mein Gebäck - Leyla Yilmaz. The poppy seed roll and donuts were also outstanding. Over all this was one of the most enjoyable stops on our trip. Thank you!

Brigitte (8/5): Trotzdem genossen … - Wir hatten das Hotel wegen des Wellnessbereiches (Sauna/Infrarot/Dampfbad) ausgewählt. Leider war dieser gesperrt - eine Enttäuschung! Das Zimmer war sehr schön, das Frühstücksbuffet ausgezeichnet.
Tobias (10/5): tolles Hotel und guter Lage - Perfect :-) Das Hotel ist direkt vom Flughafen erreichbar; nach Wien kommt man auch direkt mit der Bahn, nach Bratislava fährt ein Bus. Das Zimmer war sehr geräumig, das Hotel war ruhig. Das Frühstück machte einen Qualitativ sehr hochwertigen Eindruck. Der Check in war ebenfalls unkompliziert und schnell.
Daryl (8/5): Nice former monastery turned hotel - Weve stayed here a couple times before and like it. Its the best place to stay in Hainburg, has a restaurant/spa/wine bar on site. Close to the Danube and lots of hiking.

Cheryl (10/5): - Rooms are equipped with everything you need: small refrigerator, hairdryer, tea kettle and the bathrobes were appreciated! Located in a Medieval village along The Danube with shops, grocery stores and hiking trails just a short walk away. Town is a bit sleepy at night but the train to Vienna and Bratislava are just a few blocks away.

Miriam (10/5): comfort within medieval walls - We always look for historic buildings to stay in and were very impressed with the adaptive reuse of this monastery. The room was very comfortable and attractively furnished. Staff was friendly and helpful. The restaurant provided a good dinner and excellent breakfast buffet.
Holger (10/5): - Eine hervorragende Lösung, das Kloster in ein derartiges Haus zu verwandeln. Die Atmosphäre ist einzigartig, erhalten geblieben ist die selbst die Aura dieses Ortes. Gut gelegen, am Donauradweg und für einen ausführlichen Rundgang durch diese schöne Stadt.
Mark (8/5): - Lovely town and lovely place to stay. Rooms are large and there is an abundance of parking. Only disappointment was the fact that each room only had one fan and the staff were not able to give us an extra fan despite the rooms being hot and there being no air conditioning.

Mujtaba (6/5): Noisy room 202 - The hotel's aesthetics and spaciousness are commendable. The staff demonstrated exceptional helpfulness and friendliness. While the cleanliness and comfort of the room were satisfactory, the absence of air conditioning was a notable inconvenience. Our accommodation was on the second floor, specifically in room 202. Unfortunately, at 4:00 AM, the postal service trucks and vans began loading and unloading their cargo directly beneath our room. This activity generated excessive noise, disrupting our sleep and causing significant discomfort for my entire family.

Carmen (8/5): Urlaub un Hainburg - Es war alles so weit in Ordnung. Leider hatte das Hotel noch andere Eigentümer beim Zeitpunkt der Buchung. Wir hatten ein Doppelzimmer mit Blick auf die Donau Auen gebucht, aber bei der Zimmereinteilung unter dem neuen Management war unsere Kategorie anders. Und leider ohne Blick auf die Donau / Aulandschaft. Im Badezimmer war leider nur sehr wenig Platz zum Abstellen der Toilette-Artikel. Positiv war, dass Bad und 1toilette getrennt sind. Ausserdem war das Essen im Restaurant ausgezeichnet und das Personal aller Abteilungen sehr freundlich.

Daryl (8/5): Good place for overnights in Hainburg - Ive stayed here before and like the hotel. But this time the room was very hot. There is no AC but they had a floor fan in the room. I used that during the day but didn't want the extra noise during the night, so kept the window open. There was an orchestra rehearsing in the next bldg until late, but that was wonderful to listen to.

Bloedheet in de kamer, lawaaierige ventilator, erg gehoorig, koelkastje was smerig en douche was kapot. Geen oog dicht gedaan, ondanks een vermoeiende dag te hebben gehad. Nóóit meer en overnachting in dit hotel.

There was no a/c in our room so with +34 outside, it was very hot inside. The breakfast could be more environmentally conscious such as preferring cage-free eggs and having more vegetarian options. There could be facilities for kids such as a play corner or toys and games you can borrow.
Verified traveler (10/5): Super breakfast! - Passed a very relaxing evening here after a day of cycling. Slept like a log, the hotel, though quite large, was extremely quiet. Only problem was the unusually hot weather, I imagine that a place like this usually has little need for AC but the summer of 22 put that to the test. Luckily there was a breeze from the Danube, so that made it bearable.

The hotel is lovely. Peaceful, low-key and comfortable. Polite and discreet staff. No hassle at all. Thoroughly recommend it.

David (10/5): Recommended - It is a very historic and quaint Austrian community. Very scenic and historic buildings. The staff was very helpful, the accommodations very modern yet in an old building.
Quidnunc (8/5): Excellent value - I arrived after the doors were locked (10pm) so had to raise the night porter which took a few minutes, but they were expecting me and my key was ready and waiting. The room was pristine and bed comfortable, all high quality as you'd expect in Austria. Breakfast was included and again this was unfussy and nicely presented, fresh. Parking was outside the hotel and the entrance wasn't clearly signed, but TomTom took me straight to it using the hotel street address. I can say this was hotel was much better than any of the awful chain hotels in the UK, and cheaper.
