Merci !!
- Ellen (10/5): Uitstekende B&B - Het ontbijt!
- lisnuffchenko (10/5): -
- Farid (10/5): Absolute recommendation. Thank you! - The location is very convenient and felt safe. It is close to the city centre with plenty of places to see, shops to visit and cafes to eat at. There was a free parking close to the house.
The breakfast was a particular highlight of the stay. The owner was very friendly and made our day every morning with a delicious breakfast and five star service - fresh juice, various cheeses and bread, coffee and pastries - what a delight! Nothing, it was perfect for us.
- Heike (8/5): -
- Mirella (9/5): Superb -
- Aida (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kathy (5/5): Never again - Closeness to the venue. Comfortable bed. Bathroom wasn't cleaned when I checked in.,
Steep, narrow stairs.
Very fussy landlord.
- D (10/5): Exceptional - Our host welcomed us tremendously and we were checked into our cozy room as warmly as it gets. Room was uniquely decorated, offering big, comfortable bed, a TV and a closet with huge mirror and a window view. Bathroom was more than enough to go about the day and pack for the night, and the hosts provide with basic pack to get by when visiting. The house, although smaller, offers all the privacy you need.
Favorite part by far was a delicious breakfast with an amazing garden view, accommodated by the host himself. What a phenomenal way to start your day, and I just adore that freshly squeezed orange juicy and delish Belgium cheese. We were welcomed as we would wish to anyone visiting a majestic place like Brugge. The only thing we missed is to properly say goodbye to our host, since we were leaving unplanned a bit earlier in the day,but if you are reading this - thank you for having us at your neatly decorated house! See you again!
- Heather (10/5): Exceptional -
- Talia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Agnieszka (10/5): Exceptional - The owners are very kind and friendly people. We got very nice and cosy room with bathroom and in the morning we had yummy breakfasts, each day different food ❤️ The city takes our breaths away! 2 days was not enough to see all places...Highly recommend and we will be back for sure 😊❤️
- Suzanne (9/5): Superb - Great location, welcome & host, comfy matress, gluten free bread for breakfast Room heated throughout the night so got a bit too warm
- Bruce (10/5): Exceptional stay - Hosts were very friendly, caring and personable. The breakfast was delicious and filling. Best breakfast we had. We stayed for 3 days and everyday the breakfast was different and unique. Location was convenient to both city center and station. Garden was beautiful whilst having breakfast and looking out. Nothing was too much trouble, excellent hosts. Gave very useful tips. We will stay here again if we come back to Brugge. Nothing at all
- Jason (10/5): Very comfortable stay and just what you need on your trip to Brugge. - Jean-Pierre was a fantastic host. He was very friendly and helpful throughout. The breakfast provided is great and sets you up perfectly for your 5 minute walk before reaching the city centre of Brugge. The facilities are exactly what you need and great value for money.
- Karsten (10/5): Wir fühlten uns sehr wohl. - Persönliche, zuvorkommende Betreuung. Ein abwechslungsreiches Frühstück. Alle Wünsche wurden erfüllt.
- Vytautas (10/5): Exceptional - Exceptionally friendly and helpful staff, very good breakfast
- Б (10/5): A memorable vacation in a hotel which felt like home. - The breakfast was superb, served by the very friendly hosts. Different kinds of local cheese, coffee pot with a candle under it - to keep it warm, tasty pastry.
Location is within a walking distance to the center of the city.

- Susan (9/5): A great value B&B with welcoming hosts with a short easy walk into the town centre- would go back and highly recomme - Very helpful and friendly hosts made us feel very welcome- breakfast was totally amazing !! Great location with 10 mins straight walk into town
- Denise (10/5): Exceptional - Excellent and different everyday for breakfast , Staff was excellent
- Marlen (8/5): Very good -
- Katie (9/5): Lovely! - Location was great - short walk from the city centre. Bed was super comfortable, lovely breakfast and wonderful, amenable hosts
- John (10/5): Exceptional -
- John (9/5): Lovely people and nice city - Good location, Large comfy bed, Good Shower, Great breakfast. But most of all, our hosts Jean Pierre and Patrick who were very welcoming and extremely helpful. Its the nature of the property, but there are quite a few stairs and they are very tight whilst carrying a large suitcase!
Ontzettend bedankt, heren.
- Paul (10/5): A perfect place to stay in Bruges. - Everything!
Just a short pleasant walk into the old medieval town, this reasonably priced B&B is perfect. We had three nights here and enjoyed our stay immensely!
Other guests have mentioned the wonderful breakfast and they are not wrong. Coffee, tea, juice, pastries, cake, local pate and cheeses, fruit, croissants, rhubarb tart….all high quality and beautifully presented. We didn’t need lunch at all during our stay.
The hosts were friendly and helpful, and obviously enjoy having guests.
Thank you so much! Everything was great!
- Aurora (8/5): Very good -
- Annette (8/5): Gracious hosts, great location! - Our hosts were very nice. They helped us navigate which bus to take from the train station to get to their place. The location was terrific.

- Erlinda (10/5): Personal Service and Excellent Breakfast in Bruges - Breakfast was excellent! There was so much variety, the lovely setting and personal service were beyond words! I would recommend this to all my friends. The location a few blocks from the historical centre made
it very quiet. Nothing! What could possibly be less than excellent!
- Ian (10/5): Exceptional - Welcomed like we were visiting friends and the most amazing breakfasts. Just a short stroll into the beautiful centre of town. Highly recommended.
- Rainer (9/5): The best B&B we've been so far. - Excellent location. Located in a small, quiet side street only a short walk from the station and city center.
Exceptional breakfast with homemade jam and desserts and Belgian specialties. The rooms are nice and spotless clean.
Accompanied with the tender loving care of the owner we had a lovely time in Bruges.
Highly recommended. N/A
- Aikaterini (10/5): Exceptional -
- Aziz (9/5): Superb - - Hosts were really nice and polite.

- Mark (10/5): My B&B of choice when in Bruges. - The breakfast was truly exceptional. The hosts were professional as well as being personal. The room was very clean and of a good size, beds were comfortable. Absolutely nothing, B&B Het Wit Beertje was a great find.
- Jose (10/5): Our best experience in bruges so far. - The breakfast! The best variety of local products we've seen. Bread, cheese, meat, fruit. A lovely experience.
I've come to bruges 7 times, and this is the best place I've been to. That we only booked 2 nights. We will come back!
- Malte (8/5): Apart from the bed we were very satisfied: great hosts, great location and a great breakfast at a fa - Really warm and gracious hosts who prepared a great breakfast for us. Early check-in was also possible without any problems Unfortunately, the bed was pretty hard and I personally can't handle those big French duvets. The house was also very noisy
- Steven (10/5): The best place to stay in Bruges - It was a pleasure staying here, the host's, accomadation and food was perfect. A little more self service with the breakfast.
- Yvonne (9/5): Superb hosts, excellent breakfast and close to the old town. Would definitely return. 5 stars - The whole stay was very good but the breakfasts were AMAZING so much selection that we didn’t need to eat again all day. We can thoroughly recommend this location. Just a short walk to the centre, parking close by in a private garage (small local charge) and our hosts were welcoming and offered good local knowledge. I missed tea making facilities in the room but not enough to mark the property down as everything else was exceptional and with over 20 tea options at breakfast my needs were covered.
- Zsolt (10/5): It was a perfect short trip to Brugge with great hosts, a lovely room and amazing breakfast. - Amazing hosts, very friendly and supportive, gave recommendations about the city and informarion about the local traditions. The breakfast was amazing and me and my friend felt very cozy throughout the whole stay.
- Miriam (9/5): Worth every Cent! - The house is just 5 min away from the city centre! private parking in a garage was possible and in walking distance to the B&B.
The owners are really friendly and gave us lots of tips. It was amazing how many languages they were able to speak!
our personal highlight: the amazing breakfast! each day it was homemade and with different items!
all in all, we had a really good time there.
- Brenda (10/5): Exceptional - Everything was above and beyond our expectations. Thank you! Better internet would be nice
Merci :)
- Michael (10/5): - Nicest men i have met in a long time. I can guarantee a return if i ever find myself in Bruge again
- Dave (10/5): - This is a very small, family-run place, about a 15 minute walk from the Markt Square in the center of Old Town. The owners are wonderful, friendly and very accommodating. It's a proper B&B with a free breakfast served by the owner in the morning. Very happy with my stay!
- Verified traveler (10/5): Friendly, comfortable B&B in great location - Fantastic little B&B very close to the centre of Bruges. It only has three guest rooms, so it feels like you're staying at home with the hosts. They are very friendly and helpful and point you in the right direction for any questions about the city.
The room (no 3) was very spacious and clean. The beds were extremely comfortable and we slept very well. The road was quiet at night but did seem to have some traffic in the morning.
As many other guests have commented, the breakfast was lovely. Served to us rather than being a buffet, we were presented with a nice selection of local meats and cheeses, coffee, freshly squeezed orange juice.
There's no official parking but the hosts lent us a parking permit that gives us fours of parking for free in the surrounding streets with no problem finding a space.
Highly recommended...
- Marcus (10/5): Wonderful B&B in Breathtaking Brugge! - Had a wonderful stay in this quaint B&B. The owners Patrick and Jean-Pierre were extremely friendly, courteous and accommodating. The room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was delicious with home made jams, juices and fresh meats and cheeses from the surrounding area. The B&B with a lovely garden is located in a residential area just a short walk from the train station. Would definitely stay in this rental again!
- Alan (10/5): Charming and welcoming - Het Wit Beertje is a charming B&B, quirky but clean and comfortable and we loved our stay. Mr Defour speaks good English and made us feel very welcome and told us about the best places to visit and eat. The location is good, being only a 10-15 minutes pleasant stroll right into the heart of Bruges. We had an off-street parking space a couple of minutes’ walk from the B&B. The breakfast was outstanding with a selection of breads, pastries, cheeses, yoghurt and fruit as well as a variety of teas including Yorkshire Brew.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Friendly welcome and very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - We only stayed one night at the white bear and when we arrived early to drop our bag off, we had a warming welcome, given a map and told us where the best places to go in Bruges. Breakfast was excellent plenty to eat even though I am vegetarian. From was clean and cosy with view over the garden and quirky, Would definitely stay again. Thank you.
- Caroline (10/5): Thoroughly recommended! - We were made so welcome and had a lovely, comfortable stay. In a fantastic, quiet location. The breakfast was really lovely too. We got a bus to and from the station for 3 Euros each and the bus stop was very close to the accommodation. It was about a 10 minute walk to the centre of town. I would definitely recommend this bed and breakfast. The owners made us feel at home!
- Verified traveler (10/5): Perfect place for a base from which to explore. - Quiet, tucked away location but within a short stroll of everything. High standard of cleanliness; decent sized room; black-out curtains; a different - fabulous - breakfast every morning; parking! very welcoming owner; Good value for money; Highly recommended.
However, I wish there had been tea making facilities in the room. Breakfast didn't start until 8:30 and, as early risers, we were gasping by then.
- Pauline (6/5): Well located B&B - Perfectly located B&B for a short break to Bruges. Lovely city with beautiful buildings, canals, windmills, art, history and as much beer and chocolate to satisfy anyone!
- Darleen (10/5): - They were very welcoming. When he found out I was leaving earlier than breakfast was served he left me a full packed breakfast at my door even though I told him not to worry about it. What a sweet surprise!
- john (8/5): Close to town centre and transport - Very nice place will seek to stay there next time I visit Bruges
- JulieandNick (10/5): Best breakfast in town! - We received such a warm welcome upon arrival with lots of information on what to do. Whilst the B&B is classed as 3 * the breakfast is definitely 5* with a different spread every day. Patrick has been doing this for a long time and knows how to give good customer service.
- Lucy (10/5): Wonderful stay - We stayed for one night at this B&B and it was wonderful. Our hosts were so friendly and helped out with lots of tips for what to see in Bruges. The room was comfortable and clean, and the air conditioning was very welcome on a hot night. The hotel is set on a quiet street a few minutes walk from the centre and we felt very safe at all times. The breakfast was huge and clearly made with love. Would definitely come back here again.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - A fantastic host who made us feel very welcome and who was very helpful and kind. Would definitely recommend that you stay here for less bustling but easy access to the town centre. Thank you.
- Andy (10/5): - Great location only 10 minutes walk from the centre of Bruges, room compact but clean & great shower!, can hear bit of traffic from room at front of house. Breakfast was really good & lovely setting.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - I was very nice place , we are so happy because staff was wery good and friendly
- Sabina (10/5): Great breakfast and very friendly hosts - Weekend in Bruges
- Kari (10/5): Host with the Most - These people must have invented the word hospitality because they have it down to a science. It was a wonderful place to stay. I would stay here again. I cannot say enough good things about the hosts though. They blew us away with the ways they spoiled us at breakfast.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Delightful stay - This B&B is well located, on a quiet street not far from one of the gates leading to the city. It is less than a 20 minute walk to get to the town main square.
The room was very comfortable, with a recently renovated bathroom.
The breakfast was quite a feast, with homemade compotes, vanilla cream, in addition to yogurts, fruits, meats, cheeses, pâtés , etc. Enough to hold you up for a good portion of the day.
The owner is quite attentive to his guests' needs and is very helpful and pleasant.
I highly recommend this B&B
- Perry (10/5): Welcoming - Very kind and well informed hosts made us feel at home.
Simple but fine accommodations and bed.
Extraordinary breakfast.
- 3in (10/5): Great stay - Staff was awesome. The room was ready for early check in. This is a real bead and breakfast experience, I loved that the breakfast was home made. I would totally recommend staying at this B & B.
- Peter (10/5): Great B&B - Very friendly and welcoming hosts, genuinely happy to help. Good location just outside of the busy tourist areas. Breakfast was great and different each day with a good mixture of local meat, cheese, fruit, breads and pastry served with tea/coffee and freshly squeezed orange juice.
Room was nice with comfortable bed, good size TV and good water pressure in the shower.
If ever in Bruges again would definitely return.
- Verified traveler (10/5): One of the nicest places in Belgium - This hotel was a great surprise! The owners are the nicest people you will ever meet and the place is nice. The breakfast was delicious and varied. The B&B is just a 10 minute walk to the center. Parking outside the hotel is free, but limited to 4 hours, so you would have to go back every 4 hours
- Verity (10/5): Wonderful hosts - Absolutely wonderful hosts! After telling them I was vegan, I couldn't believe how lovely the breakfast Patrick prepared for me was especially as Belgium hadn't been the most veggie friendly place. Place was within walking distance of the centre of Bruges however not central, central. The hosts were so helpful and gave us loads of advice of where to go/ what to do. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for somewhere to stay in Bruges that's affordable and great hospitality.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Great stop-off in Bruges - We stayed one night at the Het Wit Beertje in order to spend the next day in Bruges before returning to the UK on the overnight ferry to Hull.
The B&B is superbly situated being just a short distance from the Zeebrugge expressway - it only took us 20 minutes to get to Zeebrugge - and just a short walk of about 10 minutes or so from the city centre. We were able to leave our car in the street outside the B&B all day at no cost whilst in Bruges.
The B&B itself was fine for our needs and we were made most welcome by its owners who gave us loads of information on Bruges, where to eat, visit etc. They also kept our cases for us whilst we were in Bruges rather than us leaving them in the car all day.
The room was fine for an overnight stop with all that we needed. The breakfast was excellent and a lot of effort was put into its presentation.
Anyone looking to do what we did with regards to visiting Bruges should consider staying at the Het Wit Beertje.
- Catharine (10/5): It's a really lovely place to stay - Lovely stay; splendid friendly couple run the house; Comfy bed, excellent breakfast
- Verified traveler (10/5): Excellent stay at the Het Wit Beertje - Stayed with the wife for 3 nights for a city break the b&b is in a very nice local area but too far from the tourist areas but far enough. The 2 guys who run it are extremely helpful even giving you a €5 tourist guide for free and the excellent breakfasts are brought to your table and vary a little each day and are very filling.
- Daniel (10/5): Warm welcome - Owners are a font of information about their city. Excellent breakfast with fresh, local products.
- David (10/5): Lovely bed and breakfast - It was so clean. The guys running the place are so awesome and friendly. Truly take pride in what they do. The breakfast was spectacular. Homemade everything. Lots of variety.
- Pierre (10/5): Pleasant and convenient - Quiet little B&B with free parking. Just a short walk to centre of city, activities and restaurants.
Best breakfast ever in a lovely room off the garden.
- david (8/5): nice b@b - We enjoyed our stay at b@b het wit beertje. Our room overlooking the garden was very quiet. The hosts were very helpful and the breakfast was good.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Close to the soth gate. Perfect location yo trsin station.
- Andy (10/5): One night in Bruges - Very friendly hosts. Super breakfast. Small, personal, good for train station and I'd stay again.
- Mel & Mark (10/5): Bruge Delight! - A real home feel- owner really helpful- amazing personal breakfast! Room was exceptional. 5 minutes walk from town with everything handy. We will definitely stay when we return! Parking was free also!
- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice B&B - We stayed for one night at B&B Het Wit Beertje in July. Everything was fine regarding the room and service. There were plenty of towels, toiletries and a good breakfast. Our hosts were very nice. The only problem could not be controlled by the hosts - road noise from the main road (cars and cobblestones) during the night. Everything was comfortable. It was an easy walk from the Central Station and also into the historic town.
- Sofiya (10/5): Beautiful stay - Really liked the stay. Was very clean welcoming and a really nice room. We were given a map when we arrived and advised points of interest. Very nice breakfast in the morning. The location is great too. 5 to 10 mins walk to the centre. Wish we stayed longer. I would definitely recommend it.
- Jack (8/5): Lovely B&B close to the town - Lovely B&B a short walk away from the main centre. Rooms are clean and comfortable and friendly staff. We enjoyed a nice continental breakfast in the morning.
Would recommend this accommodation.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Will definitely return and stay here - The man who runs this is brilliant, he's helpful, friendly and genuinely makes the stay a delight. It's a short walk into Bruges which takes you past one of the old city gates and into the shopping area, from here it's a couple minutes to all the pretty scenic old parts.
- Emily (8/5): Great Bruges location! - Very close to city center, nice breakfast. Beautiful garden to look at while eating breakfast.
Place was very clean.
- Aussie (10/5): Beautiful breakfast - This is a lovely B and B with walking distance of all you need to see. The bed was comfortable, the room big enough and the breakfast was beautiful.
- Pam (6/5): - It was not really good value for the money. the room was small and not much of an outlook. The stairs were narrow and the dining area cramped.I would not go back there. The only saving grace was plenty of parking nearby and an easy walk to town.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Gracious host - Grateful for a kind and gracious host
