Guest Reviews
- Dagmar (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ugo (10/5): - Wonderful place to stay for a night or more. Very charming hotel with a lot of soul which is is not so frequent nowadays. Please keep existing!
- Chee (7/5): Good - We had the place to ourselves. Felt like staying in a piece of history. The door to the room was difficult to close.
- Damien (9/5): Pleasant Rundhaug stay - The staff are really friendly, easy to talk to and are great around guests. They do have local knowledge and are happy to help you. We found it quite a peaceful area to be. The breakfast could have a little more selection on offer.
- Cecilie (7/5): Good -
- Dbaian (4/5): Disappointing -
- Anja (10/5): Amazing stay as a solo traveler - I loved the way every host cared about us in every aspect, willing to find the best solution to every issue that we may encounter!
Efficiency at his best 👌🏽
- Anshul (8/5): Very good -
- Hans (7/5): In general nice place to stay but needs some love and refurb. - Hotel with a very interesting history. Needs refurbishment, the breakfast lunch and dinner can be a lot better. Expensive for what you get.
- Pjr (10/5): Fabulous place to stay on a fishing trip. - Full of character.
Mye mygg. Dårlig service. Få retter de kunne lage. Manglet varer. Fikk servert portvin istedet for rødvin.
- Nigel (8/5): Very good -
- Darren (8/5): Very good -
- Mbr (8/5): Great hotel with staff that are very helpful - Hotel was used for a night for work and i was impressed with the service. I person was running the hotel at the time and she was very impressive and gave me a quick and easy check in, dinner and made sure i was happy with the room i had chosen. The room was very hot due to a plumbing issue so not ideal even with the windows open, however i was offered another room if i needed it.
Id stay here again as the food was very good and the hotel was nice and quiet to relax in with a drink. I would like better curtains in the room as they were very thin so light came in early morning.
- Helen (9/5): Superb -
- Jason (10/5): The hotel was very cozy and the staff was friendly and fantastic!! - The staff was fantastic.
- Kewin (10/5): A hotel with an unique atomsphere and history, and the excellet staff to tell you about it. - The breakfast was a traditional Norwegian breakfast with very good fresh bread, a variety in different add ons and salamon. What makes this guest house unique is the special atmosphere and history. As a previous World War II German High Command, you will feel you are back decades in time as you sit in the lounge and absorb its historiy. And there is no one better than the excellent staff to tell you about it. You will be amazed and dazeled. After visitig nomurous hotel, hostels, guest houses, etc around the world I've found no staff better to accomodate the guests. When it comes to the standards of the hotel, it is what it is, and you just have to accept it for that. It's and old lady in dire need of contionous maintenance. As long as you accept it for what it is, I've got nothing bad to tell.
- Torgeir (5/5): Passable -
- Verified traveler (8/5): Hotel vintage - La colazione era ottima nonostante mancassero i dolci.
- Harry (9/5): Superb - Very friendly staff.
Had a wonderful diner. I can recommend the fishsoup. Very delicious.
And the next morning a very good breakfast.
To bad that I only stayed for one night.
- Hamish (8/5): Historic hotel used by fishermen over the decades. - This is an historic hotel used by river fishermen. There are a lot of photos around the building showing previous guests
which include Norway's King and General Montgomery of WW2 fame. Very relaxed atmosphere. Could not escape the midges!!. Note to self- load up on repellent spray before rather than after!!
God middag, men overpriset.
Iskalde kokte egg,vært kokt flere dager i forveien. Ikke dispender for juicen, serveres i kartong.
- Lasse (10/5): - Overenatting med særpreg med trveleg personale
- Christoffer (6/5): OK! - Norway is expensive by default, so any “value for money” argument is hard to apply. Still, this was my best choice for the time.
Cozy in a way, also.
- Martin (6/5): - Dårlige senger😩
- Eva-Mari (10/5): Fantastisk opphold i nyttårshelga - Godt ivaretatt , god service og mat! Urolig koselig historiske omgivelser! Kan anbefales på det varmeste!
- Christoffer (6/5): Could be better, and for the right occasion. - Businesstrip to Bardufoss, and this was the closest available.
Shuttlebus available from the airport to the hotel.
Hotel has seen it’s best days, but still with charm. 115 years old, and perhaps in need of an upgrade. Hard to rate the restaurant as this trip was made during the covid-19 pandemic.
Off-season and really nothing to do. Not even a TV on the room...
Still, could be great with friends during fishing season in Måselva.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Has seen better days - Hotel is nice, however shows a need for some renovation. The staff at the hotel are helpful and service minded, however there was possibly only 1 or 2 in the building which can be ok at times, but creates sluggish service at peak periods. The hotel has obviously had a good reputation from its previous guests, however it is a thin line between classic and shabby.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The service lady was awesome and so sweet. She met all of my needs including cute coffee/tea and pastries 24/7
