• DIEGO (2/5): - Sunset in Zaccio's $700 was stolen from my room, and I was told they were going to conduct an internal investigation. The staff is neither helpful nor hospitable. The building is poorly maintained; it needs repairs and maintenance.

• John (7/5): We had a great stay a the Tropical Sunset Beach Apartment Hotel - The hotel was great value for money, and being so close to Holetown and right on the beach, it has a great location. The rooms were well appointed, and our room had a great view. The staff were all amazing. It is a little run down in places. The room we had was mostly clean, but probably needs a refresh. The outside area around the pool was okay, but was very cluttered with things being stored. The pool itself didn't look very clean. The car park at the front of the hotel is shared by the adjoined restaurant/bar as well as two or three other businesses, and there aren't many spaces. Luckily we always found a space. Our room was on the 2nd floor, and there is no lift, so getting heavy suitcases up and down was a sweaty affair!

The tidy and clean pool area and the superb beach accessed from the pool area. All this wasn't evident from the entrance, this place we thought was a hidden gem. The kitchen area in the room was well equipped and with a supermarket just across the road, we were well set up. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Great bar - Zaccio's - downstairs for sundown drinks. The rooms are dated and some of the appliances need updating. The road noise is quite loud but not much can be done about that!

• Katlin (10/5): Paradise on the beach - as someone who grew up in barbados and has always visited her own residence (sold last year), I was nervous about staying somewhere new but it blew me away. I have always admired the location of this hotel and am excited I finally got to stay there. Everything was great, clean, friendly. Sabby the owner is SO kind and often seen around property! Will be back in May! Nothing.

• Lee (7/5): Great location. Needs a refresh. - Centrally located in the heart of if Holetown. Everything is within walking distance. Bars, Restaurants and Supermarkets. The staff were extremely helpful. Unfortunately on our stay there were some renovations going on which made our stay a little noisy but I accept this is nothing to do with the property. Despite the above we still had an amazing 2 weeks stay. The property is a little dated and the rooms could do with a refresh. I would add a few more power sockets as we had to keep on swapping things around such as chargers etc. It was a bit overpriced for the facilities but you are paying for the location.

Accès direct à la plage.Plage petite , agréable Et pas de sargasses ce qui est super car les plages au sud sont envahies d algues.

Room on 2nd floor with a beautiful view. Staff made up a single bed for a few nights that my son stayed. Security was v good. Guard at night and double locking system to reach hotel room. felt safe in an excellent location.
• Carlyle (10/5): - Just enjoyed a great week at this property. The rooms are not fancy but they were clean and the proprietor made sure that cleaning and maintenance took place everyday. The view from our ground floor apartment on to the pool and the ocean was breath taking. Kudos to Curly the everything man who was friendly courteous and helpful. Zaccios the restaurant next door served some delicious cuisine and we were able to find full breakfast within walking distance at Cafe Carizma. Will definitely stay there again.

• Felicia (10/5): - I like the friendly and absolute way the staff went out of their way to accommodate us, after Expedia allowed me to book a two bedroom at a resort that Expedia clearly knew did not have that amenity. I booked with you not the resort, so I depended on your knowledge of the resort amenities. I blame you for this misinformation, not the resort. The resort was clean and have security safety measures to protect their guest I would absolutely recommend Tropical Sunset Beach Apt. Hotel, and the area.
• peterrM6100GH (8/5): Lovely week, self catering in glorious Barbados - As a family of three we spent a lovely week (commencing 2nd of May) staying at Tropical Sunset Beach Apartment Hotel, in Holetown. It is in a wonderful setting, and you can see the beach and the ocean from the rooms, barely a stone's throw away. The staff are pleasant and delightful, and the whole pace is spotless. There is a generously sized fridge and a microwave. The beds are comfy. Across the road is a large supermarket. It is affiliated to Waitrose UK and some of the prices reflect this. A pretty high class aura surrounds the place. Also, five minutes walk away, is the One Love Bar, which has brilliant outdoor karaoke on a Sunday night, with inexpensive drinks galore. So... get your bucket and spade out, and then your song list, and get booked in. You'll enjoy it. PS ... Who on earth is Alice?

Two beach side restaurants in close proximity. Bus stop right outside of hotel. Direct access to a fantastic, clean beach. Sun beds were always set out ready to use with towels, if needed. Supermarket across the street. Not any fault of the hotel as they cannot control but the motorised water sports (jet skis and water skiing). We love snorkelling but the closeness of these vehicles was not comfortable.

• Amanda (7/5): Basic, but the destination and location of the property makes up for the lack attention to detail. - The location was perfect overlooking the most beautiful beach with fabulous views of the ocean and close to shops and good restaurants. The staff were friendly and the room clean and fresh. The property is dated it is definitely in need of some TLC aesthetically. This is not paradise accommodation but the location makes up for it.

• Alan (5/5): Great staff and location. Needs tidying up following storm damage. - The staff are helpful and friendly and a credit to the organisation. The location is excellent. A family holiday with a request 10 months earlier for rooms close together with one adjoining room. Allocated 1 room 1st floor, 1 room 2nd floor, 1 room 3rd floor. We booked the previous year before the damaging storms on the West Coast. Firstly, I sympathise as they need to time to recover, so no criticism other than we weren’t warned. Booking now for the next season I would expect guarantees on completion of the tidy up.
• Margaret (8/5): Fabulous location - These self catering apartments are in a great location with a Massy stores opposite and on the bus route. There was quite a swell for the 12 days I was there and the red flag was up on one day when it was particularly rough but was fine for swimming otherwise and is roped off and safe from jet skis and other craft. There is less sand on the beach directly outside due to the storm last year but a line of sunbeds and umbrellas are put out every morning and there was always one free every time I wanted one…however the sunbeds by the pool (no umbrellas) were reserved by guests placing their towels starting from before 6am. The deck area has not yet been rebuilt since the storm. I’ve stayed here several times over the last few years and the location, comparative calmness of the sea and value for money on this part of the west coast is unbeatable. A 3-star hotel in a 5-star location
• Paul (8/5): Excellent location although in need of some refurbishment - The location was superb right on the beach but it was unfortunate that the decking had yet to be replaced following a hurricane last year. This led to a lack of sunbeds and a bed reserving problem that the hotel could’ve managed. There was one couple who reserved beds every single day and never used them. The room was in need of refurbishment but it was clean and we didn’t really spend too much time in it anyway. The kitchen area could do with a rethink. It had an unnecessarily large hob and a lack of work space. The fridge freezer was also excessive for a room for 2 people and if replaced by an under counter model could’ve created more worktop space. I’d nevertheless still be happy to return to the hotel. Hopefully with new decking and refurbished rooms. The bar/restaurant next to the hotel was excellent and the staff were great.

• Michael (8/5): 4 night stay was good and enough for us - Location was fab even though a little battered from the weather. Our room was a good size with a roomy balcony. Very comfortable bed. The beach was lovely The pool area was untidy. All the old sun beds that got replaced after the storm still piled up near the pool, throw them away. Tidy and straighten up the furniture around the pool and bar at the end of the day. Sun beds put out very late on the beach daily with times never the same, usually after 9am.
