• ken (7/5): Great except for air conditioning - Great breakfast. Beautiful hotel. The only negative was that the air conditioning is inoperative. Our room was so hot we couldn’t sleep. The hotel gave us a fan and we opened the windows but it was still hot. The manager was amazing! He understands the situation and helped us move to a different location. Air conditioning is very expensive but also important. Just ask before you go. It’s a beautiful hotel. Hampton are a great choice. Air conditioning and more equipment in the gym

Pretty good breakfast 1) Lack of self-help laundry washing machine & dryer 2) The buffet dinner on the mid-autumn holiday night- the spread of foods look impressive, but fresh osters on display didn't look fresh at all and quite a few dishes of foods seemingly untouched, either there were fewer customers there, or some dishes didn't seem enticing enough ? - it will tarnish the image of the name " Sheraton" - being an reputable international hotel chain.

Even though hotel is near Taoxian airport in Shenyang (about 25mins drive), the hotel to airport transport was expensive at RMB300. Didn’t want to take normal taxi as I had 4pcs of check-in luggage. Quiet surroundings near hotel. No shopping street or big malls around. There’s a Burger King down the road. A supermarket that looks deserted. Nice big room with tub. Came with bathrobes and comfortable disposable slippers. Will recommend if have early flight, may be better off taking a taxi if only 1 pcs of luggage.

• Xtravagance22 (6/5): Smoking Hotel - Impressive looking hotel but people smoke in the rooms even though it says no smoking. We had to change floors because of the amount of smoke in the corridors. Lounge is very poor, choices are limited, white served warm on the shelf and once the 1 bottle they put out is gone that’s it. Pepsi, tonic, soda or ginger ale are the only soft drinks. No gin and they wouldn’t stock it. No one speaks English and the atmosphere is dire…… but with the poor choices you can understand why no one wants to go there. We have stayed in Marriott group hotels all over the world including many in China…. This one looks impressive but sadly didn’t deliver the service and quality we are used to.

• UrbanReality (6/5): Need improvement in both hardware and service - My overall rating is 3+. Location was not ideal if you wanted to visit the down town area of Shenyang city. The room especially the bath room was quite large with double sink vanity, fully separated shower room and bathtub. But the shower room had only one shower head and hot water and cold water were not well mixed. The service at the Chinese restaurant YUE needed immediate improvement. The speed of serving was too slow even though we were the only guests in the restaurant at certain time and some dishes were not warm. You had to ask waiters/waitresses for the name of the dish. Both the breakfast and the dinner buffet at FEAST were not impressive as they should be as a five star hotel. Some foods that were supposed to be warm were unfortunately cold. When you asked for coffee, you got coffee, no milk. But still I found some staff were very helpful and professional, which made the plus part of 3.

• Megabruno1994 (2/5): Short Stay, Staff Unpleasant - Having been to Shenyang many times I did not even know this hotel existed mostly because of its odd location, but on my last trip when my flight was cancelled because of weather, I decided to give it a shot, although I still won't consider it close to Taoxian Airport, it was still my closest option. Hotel didn't have shuttle service to/from SHE, which is understandable considering it's still a good 20min drive away - that said, my taxi driver was seemingly upset that I wasn't going far enough to make his wait in line worthwhile. Upon arrival at the hotel, with it being a Sheraton, I expected someone to help (or try to help) with my two suitcases and a carry-on - none of that. There was one lady working at the front desk, doing her job just like an AI - accurate, to-the-point, and meanwhile robotic. There was no personal touch during check-in, no interest in why I'm in town, no regards to my Bonvoy Elite status and my preferences on file. I was told to give her my passport, and she returned my passport and room keys, that was it. That said, considering how long I waited for the one person in front of me to finish check-in and how long it took her to find me a room, she must have been the slowest AI ever existed. The room itself has nothing wrong with it - a typical Sheraton/Marriott room that is up to Chinese standard (which is way higher than North American Sheraton standard, mind you). Although I had high floor indicated on my reservation I was on the 6th floor out of the 20 some floors they have with a view of a construction site... Didn't understand how I didn't get to have an upgrade/lounge access or even have my request fulfilled since judging by their rates that night they weren't busy... My stay was short, so I didn't have time to explore the area, and I didn't see a point to, since the area looked depressingly deserted/undeveloped. Then it came time to check out. It was 6am, and the lady that helped me with check-out was even more frustrating. I understand, nobody wants to be working at 6am, and chances are she's been working all night at that point and really wanted to go home, but the entire interaction was so unacceptable it's actually funny thinking back. I gave her the keys to check out, the only thing that came out of her mouth was "flying pig?" I had no idea what that was (OTA I guess, but I booked on my Marriott app) so I asked her to repeat. She didn't. There was no regard to my status, no "how was your stay", no appreciation, not even a smile. My driver was waiting for me outside while being yelled at by their doormen (where were they last night), while I was waiting for her to finish. SHE DID NOT SAY A THING! After what must have been 5 minutes she looked up and was surprised to see me still standing in front of her, only then did she tell me I was all good to go. SAY SOMETHING FOR CRYING OUT LOUD! I try my very best to make life easier for everyone around me, but this time I was really, really bothered, simply by the lack of attempt of even trying to make my experience better. Harsh, I know, you can check my previous reviews on other hotels around the world, and never have I ever been so disappointed in the service aspect in any Marriott hotel anywhere else. Being in such a awkward location I don't see myself returning anyways, but please up your game - otherwise you don't belong in the Marriott portfolio.

Great breakfast and very good Marriott member lounge. Special thanks to Lisa from Lounge, she gives a great service to lounge Guests. Very nice suites and nice garden area from hotel. Swimming pool and gym very nice. All in all very nice stay. Thanks. Looking forward to come back.
• 264eddiel (2/5): Worse service from a Sheraton chain - My Boss booked two rooms for the night of 10 & 11 of june. One on the club floor @ room 2208, the other on room 1805 was allocated to me. Just before noon on 11 June. Both of our rooms were awaken by a call from reception that we had to check out. It was beyond belief that despite deposits taken, n booked for 2 nights. We were rudely n staff was non apologetic but we were asked to cater for the nights booked for other clients. Why? We were told that last night, there was a major booking leaving no choice but to ask us to vacant both the club room n my room. Even if we were to stay on the second night that we booked, we need to vacant our rooms. This is totally unacceptable. My boss decided it’s the last resort but to check up n find another hotel that treats his guest with respect n dignity. Totally devastated with how you guys handle the booking management. The worse stay & extremely bad experience at a Sheraton hotel to date.
• Miche_1971 (8/5): Close to the airport - It is nice hotel with an impressive lobby. Rooms are big, I just stayed one night and could not use the pool and the gym. The only concern for an hotel of this type, which is named as international, there were just a few people speaking some little English

• Zhixue (10/5): Nice new hotel great service - Hands down one of the best. Nice new facilities, close to the airport, out of the world service, most Chinese hotels do not turn on central ac early, my room is a bit warm and they went out of the way to offer a portable ac unit, nicely done. I just stayed two nights in Beijing Sheraton, compared to that this is a palace.

• keithc601 (8/5): Good Value - Very Close to Airport - I had a good 2-night stay at the Sheraton Shenyang. The hotel is located less than 15 minutes from the airport, which makes it extremely convenient. The hotel is clean and new. The staff was very attentive and did a great job. The beds were extremely comfortable, which I find generally hard to find in China. Most of the electrical plugs were multi-national, whether you were at the work desk, bedside or any wall. Well done Sheraton! There was a decent selection of Western news stations and movie channels. Are in the main Chinese restaurant both nights. It was quite good. The breakfast was a bit combative. Getting a table was challenging, and I almost lost it twice as I went back to the buffet. I was a single diner. I don’t recommend that if you can avoid it. My one complaint is that the hotel was really hot. My room was 28C. That’s 82F+. Setting the thermostat lower did not help. I finally shut it off, and the temp dipped all the way down to 24C (75F). I find this a widespread problem in China. I did feel a bit like I was living a Chinese adaption of The Shining. It’s winter. Tourist population is down. There were not a lot of people in the hotel, except for all showing up for breakfast at the same time. Looking out the window, every building you see is vacant. Building for the future. It is a bit of a strange feeling if you have not seen this before. Come back in 5 years and it will all be inhabited. Nice stay. Well done Sheraton team.
• scottz123 (8/5): Good value - The hotel rate is good. The breakfast and dinner buffet have many choices and reasonably priced. The staff there are very friendly. Overall I would recommend it for overseas travelers especially if you have a driver to pick you up every day. The only issues are: the location to the city is a bit far although it is very close and convenient to the airport; the draft beer at the dinner buffet was not fresh.
• ZhaoXiuMei (10/5): Wonderful stay - We stay here one night with a tour group. The hotel is very spacious with 2 wash basins, shower and bath tub. It has a kettle that can keep warm at various degrees. The beds and pillow were clean and comfortable. The breakfast was fabulous with wide choice if food. It has a wafer station. We missed the free draft beer at the entrance of restaurant. It is free from 5.30pm. Behind the hotel is a frozen river.
• orriman (8/5): Great breakfast, large room - The hotel is located outside of the town-center, i stayed on business - as this was near my work. The breakfast buffet is overwhelming with western and Chinese selections. Room is spacious and clean. For dinner you can choose again a buffet with fantastic selection, or Chinese restaurant which was to pricey to my taste (value for money - go for the buffet). There is also a BBQ place across the street, i didn't check it out. The staff is friendly but not all can speak English, esp. at night shift. The gym is not open 24/7 - it apparently opens sometime after 7:AM, so i never had a chance to test it, and that's the reason for 4 instead of 5.

She took care of my child and would like to check with parents whether the girl’s request from a cup of coffee was accepted or not. I like their colorful uniforms. The hotel location was very convenient and we only spent RMB 10 from train station to the hotel and really easy to visit local attractions around.

• claudiac67 (10/5): excellent from all points of view - I stayed for three nights at the Sheraton Shenyang South City Hotel during a tour of north-east China. The hotel is situated in the southern part of the city, in a residential and business area, very close to the spectacular Liaoning Museum. Rooms are spacious and with all amenities. The air conditioning works well and it is not particularly noisy. Rooms are clean and bright. Common areas are well kept and there is a lot of space and of light. Personnel does speak some English. Brerakfast is offering some good western style options. The sweet part might be somehow improved. To be recommended.

• Verified traveler (2/5): 納得いかない - ０時前にチェックインしました。 事前にチェックインが遅くなると連絡して、その回答等のやり取りに凄く好感が持てました。 デラックス ルームを予約してましたが、チェックインの時にスイートになっていて追加でルームチャージ的なのを要求されました。 部屋に空きがなかったのかもしれませんが、6時間の程度の滞在に追加の料金を払うのは納得出来なかったです。

• Sam_GiTri (8/5): Very comfortable , near the museums zone, 20 minutes taxi for downtown - It’s a high level hotel on the new outskirts of Shenyang. Brand new in all its details it has two swimming pools, a gym, a spa and a restaurant. Rooms on 24th floor are executive: big, clean, a nice with everything needed bathroom and a good view of the modern town. The only bad point is that if you want to eat in a nice outside restaurant you need a taxi by walk you can’t reach anything interesting.

This time at Check i was informed hotel suites fully booked therefore Not possible to get. Therefore for all Guests, book early enough, best rooms are gone fast. In case you have to book short Term, i recommand Not to waste your time at Sheraton Shenyang. Now more and better choices in Shenyang AS the Sheraton. Do Not waste your time and Drive to the end of the City, stay in Downtown! New Marriott now also in Downtown, i was forced to Go there and was a perfekt stay!!
• Verified traveler (6/5): 클럽룸 서비스 엉망 - 주변에 아직 공사중인 곳이 많아 호텔 클럽라운지에서 식사을 해결하려고 체크인 시에 2박 모두 클럽룸으로 차액을 지불하고 업그레이드를 했습니다. 첫날 저녁에는 해피아워를 만족스럽게 이용했습니다. 다음날부터 라운지를 운영하지 않는다고 1층의 부페 레스토랑에서 식사를 이용하라는 안내가 있었고 1층의 레스토랑에서 조식과 석식을 이용했는데 조식은 먹을만 했으나 석식은 정말 엉망이었습니다. 나름 코스 메뉴로 제공이 되었는데 맛이 없어서 샐러드만 먹었고 해피아워의 꽃인 주류도 이용하지 못하였습니다. 쉐라톤 브랜드를 믿고 이용하였는데 클럽룸 서비스에서 정말 실망을 하였습니다. 수영장은 동네 목욕탕 같습니다. 사람이 너무 많고 수질이 안좋습니다.

• AnsonTravels (2/5): A very disappointed hotel. - Occasionally stayed in this hotel for one night, it was a very disappointing experience. Apart from very inconvenient location, the condition and management of hotel was terrible. The room was very smelly, it was a non-smoking room but the smoking smell was very strong. Then I let the housing keeping staff deal with it, they sprayed some kind of liquid with so strong chemical smell, which made me even feel hard to breathe. Air-conditioning was not working so the room temperature was very low around 20 degrees centigrade only. No minibar and no any drinks in the fridge, plus even no glasses in the room. What a hotel! So poor facilities and maintenance. Would really not recommend you guys to stay here.

And less restaurant in hotel can be choose. all closed. Executive Floor, room are same as regular, with a very small club room you can used, but with low quality foods. Don't try their SPA, you will be deceived.

Located on the outskirts of the city in a new and flourishing neighborhood it is convenient and not far from downtown. I do recommend it fully.

• masteroftravel1987 (10/5): Nice Hotel with a good outdoor area - The Sheraton Shenyang South City is for a SPG category 1 hotel actually very good. The special thing about the hotel is the big outdoor area with a swimming pool and BBQ on the weekends. The club lounge on 27th floor has a nice view and is serving good breakfast and dinner. Happy hour is from 5:30 p.m. till 8 p.m. where they serve wine, beer and Longdrinks for free.

• derekang1980 (10/5): Out of this world.. in an excellent way!! - Ok all the past reviews of how bad or average this place is all honestly just some skewed review! This place is awesome to the max! Let me begin to review each fantastic component bit by bit! But start of with the downside. It’s a little out of city centre and hence traveling back and forth could be a little troublesome but taxi is cheap approximately US$5 for a 35 mins journey! Now to the bright and sunny side of the hotel! SPG members rejoice or if you’re not a member just join and transfer your credit card points cause this place is currently a category 1 with only a 2,000 points redemption for a free night! Now when you arrive at the hotel you would be driven into a huge porch with a high foyer! But hold your breathe cause the grand hall and the lobby will basically take your breathe away! It’s spacious, well appointed with a touch of elegant luxury that’s not screaming vulgar loud. Check-in was expeditious with around 4 counters and a dedicated elite members check-in, this is above your check-in at the Executive Lounge. Room is also well appointed, luxurious and has every known amenity your heart desires including an “emergency pack”, for those night activities! The club lounge is a show stealer which I would say is comparable to the Sheraton Pudong Hotel and Residences which has a fantastic lounge, the only advantage Sheraton South City has is space, which allows large group tables that is great for meetings as well as smaller window side tables with a fantastic view of the Shenyang skyline! Spread is your average lounge selection of 4 hot asian dishes, cold salad and sushi, some cuts as well as... Compliments to the Pastry Chef! If you ever decide to open a dessert shop please include or contact me for a joint venture! Green tea mousse-like profiterole, tiramisu as well as meringue was totally divine and it wasn’t your usual teaser-bites, imagine a full size cake and dessert usually served in coffee houses! Lounge staff were attentive and efficient, cutlery and dining mat are only placed at tables when you’re seated and they discreetly place the arrangement while you step away to get food and return to a table fully laid. To the reviews that say that the staff speak minimal English, you might want to get your Chinese polished! While English may not be a primary language here, the staff speaks relatively well and is able to hold a decent conversation. Perhaps your expectations was Queen’s English and etiquette for upcoming knighthood ceremony at Buckingham Palace! My conversation with most staff was relatively easy, and all the staff were eager to please and offer assistance. For e.g. we were having a conversation about visiting a particular site whilst in a lift with a staff and the staff offered his advise accordingly which was an excellent way of being proactive, otherwise we would have ended up in a market that is closed for the day! This place gets my votes, thumbs up for the best and most rewarding and worthwhile hotel for SPG members of the year award 2017!

• Verified traveler (10/5): 位置在新開發区，附近没有餐廳或商場，路上人影都没有。 - 酒店位置在新開發區，的士不到，要酒店前台代叫，但的士接到通知便開始起錶計收票，當到酒店時，收票錶己顯示31元，去到最近的市中心己要50元了，回程返酒店，截了3部的士都說不認識此酒店，最後在街上等了很久才截了一部的士是可去的，但亦要加上20元回程費，因地点偏，無人無客。所以地点位置对旅遊的客人來說真的太不方便，如去開会或公務形式，有車接送，這都是一間很好的酒店，離机場近，車程10多分鈡就到酒店。
